Victor Osimhen Faces Luxury Car Lawsuit from Mercedes-Benz

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has come under legal scrutiny after Mercedes-Benz filed a criminal complaint against him in Italy over an alleged unpaid car lease.

The automaker’s financial services division in Italy claims the forward failed to meet payment obligations on a leased Mercedes GLE hybrid SUV obtained in 2023 during his time at Napoli. According to the complaint, missed installments accumulated to about €90,000, and the vehicle was reportedly not returned after the lease expired.

The case has been classified as misappropriation, though Osimhen and his representatives have yet to respond publicly.

The situation has drawn attention given his substantial earnings—previously around €10 million annually in Italy, and now reportedly over €18 million per season following his move to Galatasaray. Despite the controversy, Osimhen remains active on the pitch, recently scoring in a win against Fenerbahce.

Off the field, he’s well known for his taste in high-end cars, often seen driving luxury models during his time in Naples and beyond.
