A recent ANAP Foundation’s presidential poll conducted in September 2022 has shown that the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi, will win the 2023 presidential election.
ANAP Foundation carried out its presidential poll on the streets of Nigeria and indicated that Peter Obi came first with 21% of all votes cast while the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, are tied at 13%.
The poll, which showed Peter Obi as the front runner in the coming 2023 presidential election for now, also indicated that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, finished fourth with 3%.
ANAP Foundation chairman, Mr. Atedo Peterside gave the breakdown on The Morning Show on Arise TV, Thursday morning, while doing justice to his independent poll conducted by ANAP.
ANAP poll, which shows Peter Obi in clear lead, has always been consistent and correct in past elections.
The problem with the poll, however, is the undecided voters at 32% which, according to pundits, is big enough to change the outlook.
“The implication is more work need to be done for the Obedients at the grassroot,” said an analyst.
One of the show’s hosts, Mr. Reuben Abati, while reacting, said he is surprised Peter Obi has more popularity in the South South than other candidates.
