Natasha Osawaru Pens Heartfelt Tribute to Husband 2Baba on His Golden Jubilee

The legendary Afrobeats icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, officially clocked half a century on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in his life and illustrious career. And there was no more prominent voice celebrating his golden jubilee than his wife, Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.

Taking to Instagram, Osawaru poured out her heart in a gushing tribute, affirming her profound love for the music superstar and offering a rare glimpse into their blossoming married life.

“Happy birthday to the love of my life. You are 50!!!!! Oh wow!!!!!! You spaced me with 20 years and you look younger than I do…” she wrote, her words laced with genuine affection and a playful jab at their age difference. Indeed, the lawmaker described waking up beside 2Baba daily as “one of the greatest gifts ever.”

She continued, emphasizing the depth of her joy: “Innocent Ujah Idibia my husband… words cannot express the joy you’ve brought into my life. My joy is complete with you in it.”

Their journey to matrimony has been a topic of much discussion, culminating in a private traditional wedding ceremony held in Benin City in April. The intimate rites, hosted at the residence of the Esama of Benin, brought together close family and associates, with a deliberate decision to keep the proceedings off-camera to ensure privacy.

This beautiful union followed 2Baba’s public confirmation of his relationship with Osawaru in February, where he declared unequivocally: “Yes, I love her. I want to marry her.” This new chapter for the multi-award-winning singer comes mere months after he concluded his long marriage with actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia.

As 2Baba steps into his golden jubilee, filled with the warmth of family and the promise of a vibrant future, Natasha Osawaru’s heartfelt message serves as a beautiful testament to the power of new beginnings and a love that truly completes. Here’s to many more years of music, legislative triumphs, and shared happiness for the Idibias!
