    Borno Rep empowers constituents with bounties

    A Member of House of Representatives, representing Bama, Ngala, Kala-Balge Federal Constituency in Borno State, Hon. Zainab Gimba (Ph.D) has empowered her constituents with enough bounties to garner accolades even from persons outside her constituency.

    Hon. Gimba, won her election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

    In christian religious parlance, the lawmaker literally opened the floodgates of heaven for her constituents on Friday.

    The occasion, it was gathered, was the flag-off of her Constituency Empowerment Schemes in Maiduguri, the state capital.

    ElombahNews correspondent, who witnessed the event, reported that Gimba doled out:

    • 118 Vehicles,
    • 200 tricycles (Keke Napep),
    • 800 sewing machines to empower tailors and fashion designers,
    • 400 grinding machines to empower local restaurant owners, and,
    • 492 water pumps to empower irrigation farmers, as well as millions of Naira.

    At the memorable occasion also, cheques worth Millions of Naira were also presented to four different families that lost their loved ones during her electioneering campaigns.

    She enjoined the beneficiaries to judiciously make the use of the items given to them to create more jobs and means of livelihoods to the other constituents.

    Present at the Constituency Empowerment Schemes were His Excellency, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum min, FNSE, the Executive Governor of Borno.

    Also present at the occasion were the Deputy Governor, Umar Usman Kadafur and the APC State Chairman.

    Others are the National and State Assembly Members, Royal fathers, Elder statesmen, Commissioners and several dignitaries.

    • Award by Nigeria Labour Congress women committee Borno state, in recognition of her immense contribution to the development of women folk and the emancipation of vulnerable women in Borno state and Nigeria at large. 14th March, 2018

    • Award of excellence by Ngala students association (NGALSA) for her humanitarian service. 29th April, 2018
