A man lost ‘$500,000’ savings in cryptocurrency after his ‘Cryto-Trader died with his password’

A man has narraated how he lost his entire life savings after investing all of the money with a cryptocurrency trader who died in 2018.

Tong Zuo recalled when he invested his money into Quadriga CX, and trusted the company’s CEO and founder, Gerald William Cotten with the funds since he had password access to all his clients’ accounts.

The total amount of money held in Quadriga’s accounts is an estimated total of $250 million and caused 76,000 investors to lose out on their funds once Cotten passed away.

Zuo said he received most of the money from his parents and invested in cryptocurrency to avoid bank charges when he moved from the United States to Vancouver, Canada.

The now-closed Canadian-based company claims a legal matter with a bank is delaying the distribution of funds.

“I kept asking them: Where’s my money? – October, November, December – during all that time. They kept saying it was the lawsuit. I couldn’t get any sleep. I just prayed. I really prayed it wasn’t a scam. At that time, there was nothing I could do. There was no way of getting my money back. Once I deposited it, it was basically gone,” Zuo added.

Cotten’s wife, Jennifer Robertson, claims he promised to create a mechanism that will give her access to the passwords once he died but she never received them.

Zuo’s story and others has been featured in the Netflix documentary “Trust No One: The Hunt For The Crypto King.”

Putin maybe misled by Defense ministry as his inner circle is too afraid to tell him the truth – US

The U.S. says Russian President Vladimir Putin is being misinformed about how poorly his troops are performing in Ukraine.

According to US intelligence officials who released newly declassified intelligence on Wednesday, March 30,  there is tension between the Russian leader and his Ministry of Defense.

Details emerged on day 35 of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, where the main Russian advances have been stalled for weeks.

But Putin has been oblivious that his armed forces were using and losing conscripts, according to the new intelligence report.

‘We have information that Putin felt misled by the Russian military, which has resulted in persistent tension between Putin and his military leadership,’ said White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield, confirming an earlier briefing by an unnamed official.

‘We believe that Putin is being misinformed by his advisers about how badly the Russian military is performing and how the Russian economy is being crippled by sanctions because his senior advisers are too afraid to tell him the truth.’

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby also confirmed the findings.

‘We would concur with the conclusion that that Mr. Putin has not been fully informed by his ministry of defence at every turn over the last month,’ he told reporters.

‘Now, I want to caveat that we don’t have access to every bit of information that he’s been given or every conversation that he’s had.’

But it was ‘disconcerting’ to think that Putin was not being kept in the loop.

‘It’s his military. It’s his war. He chose it,’ he said.

‘And so the fact that he may not have all the context, that he may not fully understand the degree to which his forces are failing in Ukraine, that’s a little discomforting.’

‘If he’s not fully informed of how poorly he’s doing, then how are his negotiators going to come up with an agreement that is enduring?’

Confused Russian soldiers disobeyed orders, accidentally shot down their fighter jet – UK Spy Chief says

Russian soldiers have been disobeying orders and accidentally shot down one of their own aircraft, the head of Britain’s GCHQ spy agency has claimed.

Vladimir Putin’s advisers are “afraid to tell him the truth” about the war in Ukraine, according to Sir Jeremy Fleming, who will say in a speech on Thursday that the Russian president made a “strategic miscalculation” in deciding to invade.

“We’ve seen Russian soldiers – short of weapons and morale – refusing to carry out orders, sabotaging their own equipment and even accidentally shooting down their own aircraft,” the spy chief will say in a rare public address during a visit to Australia.

“And even though we believe Putin’s advisers are afraid to tell him the truth, what’s going on and the extent of these misjudgments must be crystal clear to the regime.

“It all adds up to the strategic miscalculation that western leaders warned Putin it would be. It’s become his personal war, with the cost being paid by innocent people in Ukraine and, increasingly, by ordinary Russians too.”

No evidence has been disclosed for the claim Russian troops shot down their own aircraft.

On Wednesday US officials also said Mr Putin is being misled by advisers who were too scared to tell him how badly the war in Ukraine is going and how damaging western sanctions have been.

“We have information that Putin felt misled by the Russian military, which has resulted in persistent tension between Putin and his military leadership,” White House communications director Kate Bedingfield told reporters during a press briefing.

“We believe that Putin is being misinformed by his advisers about how badly the Russian military is performing and how the Russian economy is being crippled by sanctions because his senior advisors are too afraid to tell him the truth,” she said.

Russian forces bombarded areas around Kyiv and Chernihiv just hours after pledging to scale back operations in those zones to promote trust between the two sides, Ukrainian authorities said.

Russian shelling hit homes, shops, libraries, and other civilian areas, they added.

IPOB protests the act of brying to name Second Niger Bridge after Buhari

Indigenous People of Biafra  (IPOB) have protested against the move to name the second River Niger Bridge after the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

The group, in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said it rejects naming the bridge after Buhari, “because he came to power and completely sidelined its people.”

The group claimed that under Buhari’s watch, South-East youths have been slaughtered by security agents with reckless abandon.

IPOB said the bridge should rather be called ‘Achuzie Bridge” or any other accomplished Igbo patriots, adding that no Igboman has been named after any big project in the North.

The group said, “Under his watch, terrorists masquerading as Fulani herdsmen have invaded our communities killing innocent men and women after destroying our farms with their cows.”

The group also debunked the allegation by the Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, that IPOB disturbed the construction of the second Niger Bridge.

It said, “This is another lie from the pit of hell. We want to challenge Fashola to substantiate his claims. Did IPOB in any way physically interfere with the construction of the bridge by either directly or indirectly hindering any worker either foreign or local handling the project?

“Fashola should know that if not for IPOB that has ensured security in the South East, the workers of Julius Berger would have run away from the site a long time ago. If the second Niger Bridge is being done in the North, Boko Haram, Ansaru, ISWAP, and the pampered bandits would have chased them away. That shows them that South East is more peaceful than the North.”

Indian baby is born with two hearts, three arms and two heads (Photos)

A baby born with two heads, three arms, and two hearts has left doctors stunned in India.

The parents, Shaheen Khan and Sohail were expecting two fully formed twins but were shocked when she gave birth to a baby with two heads on March 28 in Ratlam, in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

The condition is known as dicephalic parapagus, where two infants are joined by one torso – and often results in a stillbirth.

The twins are admitted to a hospital in the nearby city of Indore to be monitored by doctors.

One of the doctors, Dr. Lahoti, said: ‘These kinds of cases are rare and the condition of babies remains uncertain, especially in the initial days.

‘Due to this, we have kept them under observation.

‘We have not planned for any surgery on the patient.’

Twins born with two heads, but sharing one body, are known as dicephalic parapagus – an extremely unusual form of conjoinment which is said to affect only one in a million births.

It comes after a 21-year-old woman delivered a baby with two heads and three arms in 2019, also in India.

Babita Ahirwar and her husband Jaswant Singh Ahirwar said they were shocked when she delivered the infant on November 23 of that year.

Mr. Ahirwar said: ‘We are shocked. It is unbelievable.

‘Everyone is shocked to see them. We cannot believe our child has two heads.’

Mr. and Mrs. Ahirwar, from Basauda village in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh, a state in central India, were initially devastated.

The couple had married 18 months prior and were eagerly awaiting their first child.

According to local reports, they were told to expect conjoined twins around the 35th week of pregnancy.

But after a C-section they welcomed a ‘baby with two heads’.

Mrs Ahirwar told a local news agency: ‘It was a mixed feeling when the nurses handed over the baby to me.

‘Initially, I thought it was a twin, but when the nurses removed the towel, I was shocked to see our firstborn with two heads and three hands.

‘All we wanted was a normal and healthy baby, but the almighty wanted to punish us this way. I don’t know why.’

They later vowed to raise the baby the best that they could.

After recieving Bianca’s slap, Obiano’s wife apologises to Soludo, declares her senatorial ambition

Weeks after getting slapped during an encounter with Bianca Ojukwu, wife of Biafran warlord Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, immediate past First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, has declared her intention to join the contest for the forthcoming Anambra North Senatorial District election.

In a statement released on Wednesday March 30, Ebelechukwu apologised to Governor Charles Soludo, Ndigbo and friends of Ndigbo over the incident between her and Mrs Bianca Ojukwu in Awka at the inauguration ceremony of Soludo on March 17, 2022.

She added that she would serve to empower the poor and needy, especially women and children. The former First Lady also described herself as a “peaceful person” who has never been known for violence.

It read;

“My interest to join the senatorial race is in response to an overwhelming pressure and calls from my people to represent them in the Senate at the National Assembly in Abuja. As has been attested to by the good people of Anambra State, service to people, humanity and sharing love and putting smiles on sad faces are my priority in life, and I know that it is the will of God because the Bible says that God is love.

“Therefore, having witnessed and been positively touched by my ever willing disposition to care for people, empower the poor and needy, especially women and children, particularly widows, orphans and the destitute, my people decided that I should come and serve them better in a higher capacity.”

“As a peaceful person that I am well known for, violence has never been in my character and I am grateful to several elders, statesmen, friends and associates of the Obianos, as well as countless number of good people of Anambra State who called and expressed their concerns and offered wise counsels and words of comfort after the unfortunate drama.”

Obiano, in a letter addressed to Soludo titled, ‘A public apology,’ Mrs Obiano, had expressed her apology for the altercation between her and Ojukwu.

“Permit me to use this medium to humbly convey to you my sincere, heartfelt and unreserved apology for the unfortunate incident between Mrs Bianca Ojukwu and myself on Thursday, March 17, 2022, the day of your inauguration as the new Executive Governor of Anambra State in which you took over from my husband, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano.

“The incident, to say the least, was most unnecessary, unfortunate and I regret my action. It was an unintended action as violence is never in my character. Your Excellency, Sir, I hold your person, your ideals, the records of your great accomplishments in public service in Nigeria and beyond, as well as their concomitant colossal impacts in public policies in the highest esteem.

“All those who know me can testify that before and throughout my eight years as the First Lady of State, I pursued peace, promoted philanthropic gestures which empowered many of our less privileged people. No excuse can therefore be tenable as justification for such public embarrassment, no matter the height of provocation. Equally, I wish to extend the same apology to all the important dignitaries, the people of Anambra State, as well as the entire Ndigbo for that unintended embarrassment at the occasion.”

Nigerian Govt. approves N1B for NDLEA to procure lie detector, digital night vision

The Federal Executive Council, FEC, has approved N1.06 billion for the supply of eye-scanning lie detector and digital night vision goggles for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

This was made known by the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, when he briefed State House correspondents on the outcome of the Council meeting, chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday.

Mr Malami said that N498, 850,000 of the amount was approved for the supply of the eye scanning detector, while the remaining balance of N570,825,000 was earmarked for purchase of digital night vision goggles to check the activities of drug barons.

He said: “As you rightly know, the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency is an agency of government, saddled with the responsibility of exterminating illicit drugs trafficking, sales and consumption.

“Arising from the fact that they have been doing wonderfully well, in terms of dealing with the scourge associated with drugs, the Federal Government has considered the possibility of making added provisions and employing and deploying technological equipment, skills and competencies that will assist them in delivery.

“So, this morning, two memos were taken. One, it was a memo seeking the approval of the council for the award of contract for the supply of eye-scanning lie detector.

“Our technology has improved to the extent that we have in place technological equipment that have the capacity to detect whether you are indeed speaking the truth or indeed you are lying in the course of investigation.

“So, for the purpose of enhancing the capacity of the NDLEA in exterminating illicit drugs trafficking, sales and consumption, the federal government has considered the need and possibility of indeed providing this equipment to NDLEA.

“Eventually, on that account, the Federal Executive Council approved the award of contract for the supply of eye-scanning lie detector by the National Drugs Law Drugs Law Enforcement Agency in the sum of N498, 850,000 only, inclusive of 7.5% VAT with a completion period of 90 days.

“The second memo is one in which the NDLEA, through the Office of the Attorney General, sought approval of the council with the award for the supply of digital night vision goggle to the NDLEA.

“This is equally additional technological device that is intended to support the night operations of NDLEA in view of its capacity to support visibility for the NDLEA.

“So, the contract too was presented for consideration of the council and the council has graciously approved the award of the contract with the supply of digital night vision goggles by the council in the sum of N570,825,000 only, inclusive of 7.5% Value Added Tax with completion period of 12 weeks.”

On his part, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo, told the correspondents that the Council approved N3.4billion to accelerate the establishment of an economic zone in Lekki area of Lagos State.

According to him, the approval is for the development of a five megawatt power plant and an access road from the Lekki-Epe expressway to a textile and garment park in the same area.

He said: “Council today approved contract for infrastructure in one of the six special economic zones that the Nigeria Exports Processing Zone Authority is creating for the special economic zone in Lekki.

“As part of that special economic zone, there is a textile and garment park that is being put up.”

Max Mosley, Ex. F1 Boss, shot himself after terminal cancer diagnosis, inquest hears

Former F1 boss Max Mosley shot himself after learning his cancer was terminal, a coroner has concluded.

Mr. Mosley died in his London home in May 2021. The 81-year-old had been in debilitating pain.

Westminster Coroner’s Court heard that he shared his plans, had a final meal with his wife, and wrote a suicide note.

Senior Coroner Dr. Fiona Wilcox recorded a conclusion of suicide, saying she was “satisfied” Mr. Mosley intended to kill himself.

Mr. Mosley developed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, a cancer affecting immune cells, in 2019, the court heard on Tuesday.

Having exhausted all the treatment options, doctors had told him he likely had a “very limited life expectancy” and he had been moved to palliative care.

Mr. Mosley contacted his personal assistant the night before he was found dead to tell him about his decision to kill himself.

He could not be persuaded and had formed a “settled intent”, the court heard, and a suicide note was found the following day.

Dr. Wilcox recorded a cause of death as a gunshot wound, adding that the cancer was a contributing factor to the death of “a remarkable man”.

She said: “I am also entirely satisfied Mr. Mosley would not have undertaken this action but for the distressing and debilitating terminal lymphoma.”

The inquest also heard from Mr. Mosley’s relatives that he felt his biggest achievement as president of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) – the governing body for F1 racing and non-profit representing motoring interests worldwide – was “the promotion of road safety” and “green technology in F1”.

Mr. Mosley led motorsport’s governing body the FIA from 1993 to 2009 and, in his role as FIA president, initiated widespread reforms of safety procedures in Formula 1 following the death of Ayrton Senna in 1994.

On learning of his death, ex-Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone said it was “like losing a brother”.

At the time, Mr. Ecclestone said: “He did, a lot of good things not just for motorsport, also the [car] industry. He was very good in making sure people built cars that were safe.”

Mr. Mosley – the son of 1930s British fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosley – also campaigned for tighter press regulation after winning £60,000 damages from the News of the World when it wrongly published a story alleging he had attended a Nazi-themed orgy.

In a statement posted to social media, his family said: ‘To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.

‘As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.’

The statement added: ‘This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.

‘As Bruce always says, “Live it up” and together we plan to do just that.’

Hollywood actor, Bruce Willis announces he has been diagnosed with degenerative brain condition and will step away from acting

According to the National Aphasia Association, the condition is an impairment of language, affecting the production or comprehension of speech and the ability to read or write.

The association reports the condition is always due to injury to the brain, most commonly from a stroke, particularly in older individuals.

Head trauma, brain tumors or from infections can also cause aphasia.

Putin loses another Commander, Colonel Denis Kurilo, after fierce fighting in Ukraine

An eighth Russian colonel has been killed in Ukraine in another devastating blow to Vladimir Putin’s invasion.

In a statement, Kyiv said it had ‘eliminated’ Colonel Denis Kurilo, commander of the 200th separate motorised rifle brigade, in fighting near Kharkiv.

The brigade had suffered massive losses in the fierce battle, the Ukrainian army’s press office said.

Two battalion groups in the 200th brigade were destroyed, with a staggering loss of 1,500 servicemen, Ukraine has claimed.

The colonel is the latest in a long list of slain Russian military leaders, which experts say betray the Kremlin’s tactics in the brutal invasion.

Kurilo follows seven colonels and seven generals who have been killed by defiant Ukrainian forces in the month-long war.

Russia loses its 8th?colonel after fierce fighting in Ukraine?

Colonel Nikolay Ovcharenko, chief of the Western Military District engineer troops, was killed in an ambush that left a total of 18 Russians dead by a pontoon bridge over the Siverskyi Donets River.

Colonel Alexei Sharov, commander of the 810th Guards Separate Order of Zhukov Brigade in the Russian Marines, was killed in Mariupol last week.

Colonel Sergei Sukharev, of the 331st Guards Parachute Assault Regiment from Kostroma, was ‘liquidated’ according to Ukraine in fighting earlier this month.

‘Commander of the Kostroma Airborne Regiment, Colonel Sergei Sukharev… got lost in the “[military] exercises”, but returned home the right way,’ said the Ukrainian statement.

His deputy Major Sergei Krylov was killed alongside him, said the report.

Colonel Andrei Zakharov was killed in an ambush near Kyiv in the opening days of the war, while Colonel Konstantin Zizevsky who led air assault troops died in the south of Ukraine.

Russian brigade commander Colonel Yuri Medvedev was even run down with a tank by his own mutinous troops.

A Western official claimed the commander had been killed by his own troops, ‘as a consequence of the scale of losses that had been taken by his brigade’.

‘We believe he was killed by his own troops deliberately,’ the official said, noting he was ‘run over’.

He added it was a further sign of ‘morale challenges that Russian forces are having’.

‘They really have found themselves in a hornet’s nest and they’re suffering really badly,’ the official said.

Colonel Sergei Porokhyna is another high-profile casualty among Putin’s forces.

Last week, Russian Army Commander General Vlaislav Yershov, of the 6th Combined Arms Army, was sacked by Putin due to the heavy losses and strategic failures.

The latest to die, Lieutenant General Yakov Rezanstev, was a commander of Russia’s 49th Combined Arms Army in its southern military district, the official disclosed.

President Vladimir Putin abandons his conquest of Kyiv

Vladimir Putin has failed in his plan to capture Kyiv, with Moscow on Tuesday pledging to withdraw forces from the Ukrainian capital.

Russia claimed the withdrawal from Kyiv and the city of Chernihiv was to build trust in “constructive” peace negotiations.

Talks in Istanbul broke up on Tuesday after Ukraine offered to make itself permanently neutral if the UK, other Western powers and China provided military protection from future Russian aggression. But hours later, heavy shelling resumed in Kyiv.

Vladimir Medinsky, Russia’s chief negotiator, claimed Moscow did not want to “put Kyiv at military risk” because people whose decisions could bring peace, such as Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, were there.

But he said “de-escalation does not mean a ceasefire” and warned that there was still “a long way to go” before a deal could be signed.

Mr Zelensky on Tuesday night urged the world not to trust any Russian promises as fresh explosions rocked the capital.

“Of course, we see all the risks. Of course, we don’t have a reason to trust the words of representatives of a country that wages war against us,” he said. “Ukrainians are not naive.”

Boris Johnson said Putin could still seek to “twist the knife” despite Russia’s faltering invasion as the Cabinet decided to step up military aid to Ukraine.

After a call with the leaders of the UK, France, Germany and Italy, Joe Biden, the US president, said the West would “keep strong the sanctions” while following Moscow’s next moves.

Washington believes the withdrawal of troops from near Kyiv is merely a redeployment after the Russian invasion became bogged down in the north of the country.

Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, said Russia’s “brutalisation” of Ukraine “continues as we speak”.

US officials warned that the world should be prepared for more major offensives elsewhere.

John Kirby, the Pentagon spokesman, said Russia had “failed in its objective of capturing Kyiv” but cautioned that the capital remained surrounded.

Putin’s close ally General Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defence minister, said the army’s priority was now the “liberation” of the Donbas in the east of the country, where two Russian-backed rebel regions broke away from Ukraine in 2014.

A Western official said the Russians were reinforcing the Donbas with battalion tactical groups to “envelop” Ukrainian forces in the area.

Denis Pushilin, a separatist leader, said the self-proclaimed, Russian-backed Donetsk People’s Republic would consider joining Russia once it controlled the whole Donetsk region.

Ukrainian forces have recently appeared to make significant territorial gains around Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson. They pushed Russian forces back from around Kyiv, including in the nearby town of Irpin, an important gateway to the capital.

“Our men crushed them and forced them to get back, so we will celebrate,” said Volkov Kostiantyn, a Kyiv resident. “But no alcohol until the war ends. Just coffee.”

Deeper Life Pastor with 3 farmers killed in Benue

A pastor with Deeper Life Bible Church and three other farmers were on Tuesday killed in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

Guma, the local government where the executive governor of the state, Samuel Ortom, come from had come under fatal attacks by gunmen in recent times, an unfortunate situation, which has snowballed the number of displaced people in camps across the state.

Witnesses said the cleric was ambushed by his killers around Waku village while he was travelling from his base at Umenger village to Gbajimba, the headquarters of Guma LGA for a religious function on Tuesday morning.

But, the other three people – two women and a man – were hacked to death while working on their farms in Nyiev council ward in same Guma LGA.

Chairman of Guma LGA, Caleb Aba, who spoke with Dailytrust on telephone said that the trio went to fetch locust bean from their farm in Nyiev council ward when they were attacked and killed.

Aba further confirmed that the pastor was killed around Waku village.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Benue Command, SP Catherine Anene, did not respond to calls and text messages put through her telephone line to confirm the incident as at the time of sending this report.

Russian Gas supply fears trigger Germany’s emergency gas plan

Stage one of the German government’s emergency gas plan has been triggered after Berlin rejected Moscow’s demand to pay for supplies in rubles amidst concerns Russia will cut off deliveries.

Economy Minister Robert Habeck insists the country’s supply is guaranteed with no supply issues at present, but added the plan’s further escalation levels are possible, which could include gas rationing.

The move comes as the German Council of Economic Experts claimed their forecasts see a GDP expansion of just 1.8%, down from earlier predictions of 4.6%.

Nigerian man dies in London jail for trafficking dozens of young girls across the UK

A Nigerian man, Isaiah Olugosi, 38, was on Monday, March 28 discovered dead in his cell at HMP Wormwood Scrubs in West London, where he was awaiting sentence after being convicted for fraud.

In May 2021, he pled guilty to masterminding a scam that defrauded over 100 shops in the UK in a two year reign of theft.

Olugosi, his wife Holly, and members of his organised crime group exploited over 30 teenage victims and were charged with modern slavery laws.

The victims aged between 14 and 17 were discovered by police when they unearthed the extent of the fraud in 2020.

While in court he revealed that girls were recruited via social media and approached on the street, with some living in foster homes while others had gone missing.

At Snaresbrook Crown Court, Olugosi admitted conspiracy to arrange or facilitate the travel of children for exploitation, two counts of conspiracy to defraud, money laundering and possession of articles for use in fraud.

Money made from his scam was used to fund his expensive lifestyle, where huge sums were spent on cosmetic surgery, tanning sessions, a new Mercedes, luxury holidays and even a fridge they bought for £2,500.

The team leaders would trick or coerce the girls into joining their criminal gang, before Olugosi and his drivers transported them across the UK using pre-planned routes to target branches of each store.

They printed out and put fake barcodes on items to pay a cheaper price before later returning for a full price refund, meaning a phone bought for £20 could get a £120 refund.

The girls would often go missing for several days, committing fraud during the day and staying in hotels at night.

In the early part of the conspiracy, Isaiah Olugosi personally drove the victims around, telling them what goods to get, which fraud technique to use and which branches to target.

On a typical day for Olugosi’s gang,  they would defraud over 10 stores, making thousands of pounds per route for the gang.

The stolen funds were then laundered through at least one hundred UK bank accounts set up by Isaiah Olugosi, who used addresses of adults known to have mental health problems or severe learning difficulties to evade authorities

A Prison Service spokesperson said: ‘HMP Wormwood Scrubs prisoner Isaiah Olugosi died in his cell on March 28.

“Is NATO being run by Russia?”- President Zelensky asks

Ukraine’s president, Volodimir Zelensky has demanded that Western nations hand over military hardware that was ‘gathering dust’ in stockpiles, saying NATO nations don’t want to support Ukraine with jets and tanks because they were being intimidated by Russia .

Since the War between Russia and Ukraine began on February 24, NATO nations have so far given Ukraine anti-tank and anti-craft missiles as well as small arms and protective equipment, but have not offered any heavy armour like tanks or fighter planes.

Zelensky accused the West of holding back on supplies because they were frightened of Russia and suggested Moscow is in charge of NATO.

In a late-night address on Saturday, March 26, Zelensky said;

‘We need more ammunition. We’ve already been waiting 31 days. What is NATO doing?

‘Who is in charge of the Euro-Atlantic community? Is it really still Moscow, because of intimidation? We are only asking for one per cent of what NATO has, nothing more.’

Zelensky also angrily warned Moscow that it is sowing a deep hatred for Russia among his people, as constant artillery barrages and aerial bombings are reducing cities to rubble, killing civilians and driving others into hiding.

‘You are doing everything so that our people themselves leave the Russian language, because the Russian language will now be associated only with you, with your explosions and murders, your crimes,’ Zelenskyy said.

His comments came after anuclear research facility in the besieged city of Kharkiv, near the Russian border, came under fire on Saturday.

Chinese Plane Crash: DNA reveals identities of all 132 victims on board

Chinese authorities have revealed that all 132 victims of the passenger jet that crashed in South-West China last week Monday, have been identified via DNA testing.

This was disclosed during an official news conference on Monday.

Sequel to the accident, public security authorities across the 20 provincial-level regions were mobilised to identify the victims by collecting DNA samples of those on board and their relatives, said an official with the Ministry of Public Security, Liu Kaihui.

He said that 20 DNA experts had conducted DNA testing and analysis of the samples, and the identity of the final victim was confirmed on Monday morning.

The Boeing 737 aircraft, which departed from Kunming in Yunnan Province for Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, crashed in Tengxian County of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on March 21.

It was also learnt that China, hitherto, had enjoyed an enviable air safety record in recent years in a country crisscrossed by newly built airports and serviced by new airlines established to match the country’s breakneck growth over the last few decades.

A Henan Airlines flight crashed in North-Eastern Heilongjiang province in 2010, killing at least 42 out of 92 people on board although the final toll was never confirmed, and it was the last Chinese commercial passenger flight crash that caused civilian casualties.

The deadliest Chinese commercials flight crash was a China North-West Airlines crash in 1994 which killed all 160 onboard.

US President, Joe Biden signs anti-lynching bill in law

US President has finally signed legislation criminalizing lynching, after 100 years and 200 failed attempts by US  lawmakers.

Lynching is murder by a mob with no due process or rule of law. Across the US, thousands of people, mainly African Americans, were lynched by white mobs, often by hanging or torture, in the 19th and 20th Centuries.

About 4,400 African Americans were lynched between 1877 and 1950, according to the Equal Justice Initiative. Those who participated in lynchings were often celebrated and acted with impunity.

After 100 years and 200 failed attempts at legislation, Joe Biden signs anti-lynching bill

Joe Biden on Tuesday, March 29  signed legislation that designates lynching as a federal hate crime.

The Emmett Till Antilynching Act is named for the black teenager whose brutal murder in Mississippi in 1955 helped spark the civil rights movement against lynching.

Perpetrators of a lynching – death or injury resulting from a hate crime – will now face up to 30 years in jail.

After signing the law, Biden said: “Thank you for never giving up, never ever giving up.

“Lynching was pure terror to enforce the lie that not everyone, not everyone, belongs in America, not everyone is created equal.”

He added: “Racial hate isn’t an old problem – it’s a persistent problem. Hate never goes away. It only hides.”

The bill was passed unanimously in the Senate earlier in March. The House had voted overwhelmingly in support of the legislation last month. Three Republicans voted no: Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Chip Roy of Texas and Andrew Clyde of Georgia. They argued that it was already a hate crime to lynch people in the US.

Many racial justice advocates have described the death of Floyd, as well as the murder of Ahmaud Arbery – who was hunted down and shot by three white men in Georgia in 2020 – as modern-day lynchings, and following the passing of the anti-lynching bill, both deaths have been credited as modern day influences

“Barcelona no longer needs Lionel Messi back because we’re building a new team” – President Joan Laporta says

Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has stated that the club has no interest in re-signing Lionel Messi after allowing the 34-year-old to join Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner joined PSG after Barcelona released a bombshell statement stating that he would be leaving the club due to financial restrictions placed upon them by LaLiga amid their colossal debts.

However, Messi has been linked with a return to Barcelona after just one season because he is reportedly ‘unhappy’ with the Ligue 1 side and disappointed about their Champions League exit.

Barcelona president Laporta has now dismissed claims that Messi could be returning back to the Nou Camp

He said that the Catalans are focused on ‘building a new team with young people’.

Speaking to RAC1, Laporta said: ‘I’ve received no message from Lionel Messi or his camp over a possibility of returning to Barcelona. At the moment we are not considering it.

‘I no longer have a fluid communication with Messi like I did before he left. His departure almost made me feel more bad for personal and family reasons rather than just strictly sporting ones.

‘We’re not considering [Messi’s return]. We are building a new team, with a mix of young players and experience – the symbiosis is working. But Leo is Leo and he’ll always be a winner.

‘For me, it sure wasn’t easy [for him to go], but, as it happened, I thought about the club [finances], I couldn’t put it at more risk. I think we did what we had to do.

Nigerian customs intercepts drones, military uniforms, others in Lagos

Nigeria Customs Service in charge of the Murtala Muhammed Area Command (MMAC), Lagos, says it has intercepted some drones and military wares allegedly being smuggled into the country by criminals.

The customs, which disclosed this on Tuesday, put the value of the items at over N300 million.

This is coming after bandits bombed a Kaduna-bound train, killing over 8 persons and injuring 28.

Authorities in charge of MMAC said all the items seized would soon be handed over to the Nigerian Army and other relevant government agencies for further investigation.

Several trains attacked by terrorists: “We would have saved lives if the Govt. had provided N3bn Security Equipment” – Amaechi says

Minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said that more than N3bn has been lost tothe attack on the Abuja-Kaduna rail route.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the scene of the attack, the Minister said the unfortunate event could have been avoided if a N3 billion digital security equipment had been acquired.

Amaechi said;

“We knew what the problem would be. We knew we needed to have digital security equipment. We applied for it.

“Because if we had those equipment, you will see nobody on that track. And I warned that lives will be lost. Now, lives are lost. Eight persons dead, 25 persons in the hospital. We don’t know how many persons have been kidnapped. And the cost of that equipment is just N3 billion. The cost of what we’ve lost is more than N3 billion. We’ve lost tracks, we’ve lost locomotives and coaches. We’ve lost human beings. And the equipment is just N3 billion.

“To fix all the things on that track now, will cost us more than N3 billion. And now even the things we said give us approval to buy – at the time we asked for it, dollar was N400, now it is N500. When you come with sincerity to government and your colleagues and people are stopping you, it is annoying.”

Vladimir Putin and his closest commanders reportedly operating from secret bunkers in Russia

A new ‘evidence’ has emerged that Vladimir Putin and his highest-ranking commanders are operating the Ukraine war from top-secret nuclear bunkers.

Movements of planes used by top Kremlin officials show Putin may be in a hideaway near Surgut in western Siberia, it is claimed.

His defence minister Sergei Shoigu, is believed to be in a bunker near Ufa in the Urals, 725 miles east of Moscow, according to investigative journalist Christo Grozev.

This theory is backed by his daughter Ksenia Shoigu, 31, who visited Ufa, where she was pictured for an estimated three days from March 22, as speculation was rife that the defence minister had suffered heart problems.

She also abruptly barred public access to her Instagram where she had posed with her baby in the blue and yellow colours of Ukraine.

The use of the high-security bunkers – if confirmed – is alarming as it suggests Putin may be preparing to deploy nuclear weapons, a move that would lead to inevitable reprisal.

Grozev – who has links to British investigative outlet Bellingcat – said: ‘I am absolutely sure that Shoigu is in a bunker.

‘Tracking the movement of his plane, we see very frequent flights to Ufa.

‘Knowing that there are also protected bunkers in this region, this gives an obvious answer about his place of residence.’

In an interview with Ukraine-24 channel, he told TV anchor Yevgeny Kiselyov: ‘This is our very justified version.

‘I believe in it, and I consider it to be a purely analytical conclusion. There can’t be any other conclusion.

‘If the Kremlin’s war strategy assumes a nuclear strike – and it does – as [Dmitry] Peskov [Putin’s spokesman] himself said on CNN a couple of days ago, then there cannot be any other version.

‘If there is a decision of a potential nuclear strike, they can’t hide the military leadership afterwards.

‘They have to be hidden beforehand.

‘I am absolutely certain he is in a so-called bunker, and by trailing the plane he usually flies, we see very frequent, almost daily flights to Ufa.

‘Knowing this region has those very protected bunkers this leads us to the obvious conclusion. ‘

He believes Putin has another bunker elsewhere.

‘Most likely he is elsewhere, because we are seeing other flights, and they are more classified than the flight that goes to Ufa.

‘These are state planes, and they switch off their transponders somewhere around Surgut.’

This is Russia’s oil capital and is some 1,800 miles northeast of Moscow.

‘It looks like the final phase is quite secretive, and most likely there is a more elite bunker there, with the elite of the government.’

Previously there have been claims Putin had moved his close relatives to a bunker in the Altai Mountains, some 1,100 miles southeast of Surgut and 2,360 miles east of Moscow.

Grozev also suggested that Russia’s Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, is operating from a bunker.

Coincidentally, the defence minister’s daughter Ksenia Shoigu seems to have been in Ufa between March 22 and 25.

‘Today we are in Ufa, on a working visit,’ she posted on her Telegram channel on March 22.

Local newspapers reported that the financier was visiting ‘at the personal invitation of the head of region on March 24 and 25’.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after a 1-1 draw with Ghana at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The Super Eagles failed to defeat the Black Stars in Kumasi, with the match ending 0-0. In the reverse leg played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, the visitors took the lead through Thomas Partey.

Miguel van Damme, Belgian Star dies @ 28 after long battle with Leukaemia

Belgian footballer, Miguel van Damme has tragically passed away at the age of 28 after losing his battle with Leukaemia.

Van Damme was first diagnosed with the disease during a medical check-up ahead of the 2016-17 season, and bravely fought against the illness for over five years. He leaves behind his wife and young daughter.

After the blood cancer returned twice, Van Damme sadly told supporters in September 2020 that it had returned for the third time, and would be incurable.

His partner, Kyana Dobbelaere, paid a touching tribute after his passing.

She wrote: ‘Our dearest darling, daddy left for his last match last night, a match that can no longer be won.

‘You left us very slowly, yet you did it again in your own way… very strong.

‘You fought like a lion. We are so thankful for who you were. An example for many.

‘You have made me realise that there is no such thing as giving up, even if there was only that one small glimmer of success, time and again you got over it.

‘Rest now darling, you have more than earned it, you are now freed from all pain. We would love to see you.

‘Big hug from your two girls. See you later.’

Sporza, a publication in Belgium, have claimed that Van Damme was informed that his cancer was incurable two days after he discovered he would be a father.

The family welcomed their daughter Camille in May 2021.

Cercle Brugge, Van Damme’s club, penned a heartfelt message after the devastating news of their player’s death.

‘It is with great sadness that we report that our friend and teammate Miguel Van Damme has fought his long and unfair battle against leukemia,’ it read.

‘Words are not enough to describe what we feel, even though we knew that things had not gone well for a while.

‘Today is an extremely difficult day in the almost 123-year history of Cercle Brugge.

‘Our thoughts go in the first place to his wife Kyana, his daughter Camille, Miguel’s parents, his sister Francesca but also to his many friends and family.

‘Miguel, your perseverance and strength to go for it (again) over and over, setback after setback, was admirable.

‘You are an example of positivism, persistence and fighting spirit. A source of inspiration for everyone who fights.

‘Forever in our green-black heart, #16.’

Jake Paul offers Will Smith and Chris Rock £11.5m each to fight on the boxing ring

Jake Paul has offered Will Smith and Chris Rock £11.5million ($15m) each to box following their controversy at the Oscars.

The Oscars was hit by a major scandal in its 94-year history after violence broke out on stage when Smith stormed up to host Chris Rock.

The slapping incident occurred after Rock cracked a joke about the ‘GI Jane’ haircut of Jada Pinkett Smith, 50, who has alopecia. The shocking scene, broadcast live around the world, stunned both the live audience at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and TV viewers.

Smith later showed up on stage and slapped Rock with an open right hand. Rock staggered and exclaimed, ‘Wow, Will Smith just smacked the s**t out of me.’

Smith then walked back to his seat  and shouted: ‘Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth.’

Referring to Pinkett Smith’s buzzcut, Rock said: ‘Jada, can’t wait for GI Jane 2’, prompting the actress to roll her eyes. Pinkett Smith has been battling hair loss since revealing her alopecia diagnosis in 2018.

Yotuber-turned-boxer Paul, who is unbeaten in five professional fights, was quick to react to the controversy. He Tweeted: ‘Nah this is crazy ahah’.

Paul went on to offer Smith and Rock £11.5m each to box on the undercard of his fight, which is due to be in August.

He wrote: ‘I got $15m for Will Smith and $15m for Chris Rock ready to go

‘Let’s do it in August on my undercard. ‘

The 25-year-old added: ‘Someone get me on the phone with Will Smiths boxing representative asap’.

ISIS claims responsibility after 2 Police men were shot dead in Israel

The Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility after two Israeli police officers were shot dead in an attack in the northern Israeli city of Hadera.

Israeli Police said the gunmen were Israeli Arab citizens who stacked the policemen.

Four other people were taken to hospital after the attack in Hadera, and two others were treated at the site of the shooting.

ISIS claims responsibility after two police officers were shot dead in Israel

Police in a statement said counterterrorism officers happened to be in a restaurant near the shooting and brought the attack to an end.

“Our officers managed to neutralise the assailants and prevent a bigger terrorist attack,” national police spokesman Eli Levy told Israeli TV.

However, the Islamic State (IS) group said it was behind the attack in a statement released by the Amaq propaganda site.

“Two members of the Jewish (state’s) police force were killed and others were injured in an immersive commando attack,” IS said in a rare claim for an attack inside Israel.

The attack comes days after an attacker identified as an IS supporter killed four Israelis in the southern city of Beersheba.

Intelligence group, SITE, said it was the first time IS had taken credit for an attack in Israel since 2017.

Hebrew media widely identified the two terrorists as Ayman and Ibrahim Ighbariah, cousins whom police said were residents of the central Arab city of Umm al-Fahm. Israel Police said the two arrived at the scene with 1,100 bullets, as well as at least three handguns and six knives.

The two terrorists opened fire at police along Samuel Herbert road in Hadera on Sunday night, Israel Police said. Two people were killed and several others were wounded before officers gunned down both Ighbariahs, according to police and medics.

Ibrahim, 31, was arrested in 2016 by Turkish police after trying to join the Islamic State jihadist group in Syria. He was later apprehended by Israeli security forces and served a year and a half in prison for membership in a terror group.

Sunday’s incident occurred as Israel hosts an historic summit with three Arab League states – Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan after they normalized toes during the Trump administration.

JUST IN: Air Peace suspends flights operations to Kaduna Airport

Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest flight carrier, has suspended operations to Kaduna International Airport.

This is coming few hours after Azman Air also suspended its operations because of the volatile security situation at the Airport.

A source attributed the suspension to the gun attack around the airport at the weekend.

Saturday last week, terror bandits gunned down a local guard attached to the Nigerian Airspace Management Authority when they launched brutal attack at Kaduna Airport.

The military had engaged the criminals in a heavy gun duel, which resulted to a delay of a Lagos-bound Azman flight.

However, Air Peace Spokesman, Stanley Olisa confirmed the development to our correspondent, but refused to go into details.

Sharing Ukrainian Military Information is a Crime, One may face up to 12 years in Prison – Ukraine Govt.

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law restricting the dissemination of military information during the current state of emergency, with violators facing up to 12 years in prison.

According to the document, filming the movements of Ukrainian military personnel, sites of shelling, street names, transport stops, shops, factories, and other civilian and military facilities is now prohibited.

The law, signed by the president over the weekend, also forbids the publication of data on the movement of foreign military aid received by Ukraine.

The law bans “unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of international military assistance to Ukraine, the movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or other military formations of Ukraine, committed in a state of martial law or a state of emergency,” Ukrinform says.

The ban on the dissemination of information does not apply to the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.

The move comes after people were reportedly posting sensitive information on Ukraine’s army online.

On March 21, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) detained a person who it says posted a video on TikTok with the positions of the armed forces in Kyiv. Soon afterward, Russia launched a missile attack on a site nearby, killing eight people.

The SBU is investigating whether the person, who remains in detention, was purposely trying to reveal classified information to Russia.

Did Blind Psychic, Baba Vanga predicted that Vladimir Putin will become ‘Lord of the World’ ?

A blind psychic who correctly predicted the Russian invasion of Ukraine as well as the 9/11 New York Al-qaeda attacks once claimed that president Vladimir Putin is to become ‘Lord of the World’ and that Russia will dominate the world.

Vanga grew up on a farm, in what is now Macedonia, and became blind after being dragged into a tornado when she was young, with her believers saying this accident was what gave her second sight.

Known as the Nostradamus of the Balkans, Baba Vanga, who died 25 years ago in 1996 aged 84, predicted in a 1979 interview that Russia was to dominate the world while also predicting World War Three and the potential use of nuclear weapons.

Blind psychic Baba Vanga who correctly predicted 9/11 and Russia

In a meeting with writer Valentin Sidorov, Vanga in 1979, BirminghamLive reported she said:

“All will thaw, as if ice, only one remain untouched – Vladimir’s glory, glory of Russia.

“Too much it is brought in a victim. Nobody can stop Russia.

“All will be removed by her from the way and not only will be kept, but also becomes the lord of the world. ”

Vanga is believed to be good at predicting major events across the globe and it is claimed that during her 50-year career, she also predicted the Coronavirus pandemic, Chernobyl disaster in Ukraine in 1986 and the death of Princess Diana in 1997.

The psychic reportedly predicted the Covid outbreak ‘years ago’ when she warned: ‘The corona will be all over us.’

In 1989, she reportedly said of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre: ‘Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds.

‘The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing.’

Vanga’s devoted followers say 85 per cent of her predictions are accurate, but  experts say only 68 per cent are.

One of the prophecies which didn’t come true was that the 45th president of the United States was to be ‘faced with a crisis’ that would ‘bring the country down’ .

She also insists that aliens will ‘not come in peace’, insisting that the extraterrestrials will arrive in asteroids’: ‘Alien ships will attack earth and they will bomb cities and take people captive’.

Jehovah’s Witnesses in Nigeria return their places of Worship after 2 years of ‘Covid-19 absence’

With effect from April 1, 2022, Jehovah’s Witnesses in Nigeria and across the world will return to their places of worship after observing two years of Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

This was contained in an statement announcing “Resuming In-Person Meetings”, issued by the organisation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Nigeria.

The announcement reads: “We are pleased to inform you that the Governing Body has decided that barring any local governmental restrictions, we will encourage all congregations to begin holding in-person meetings the week of April 1.

See Video:

In another announcement concerning “Special Talk and Memorial Arrangements”, the organisation stated further:

“Congregations worldwide will resume holding the midweek and weekend meetings in person beginning April 1, except where local governmental restrictions do not permit them to do so.

“Mask-wearing is strongly recommended for all in-person meetings, even if it is not required by the authorities.

“A videoconferencing option will continue to be available.

“However, it is the Governing Body’s earnest desire that all congregations worldwide make a concerted effort to hold in-person meetings for the special talk and Memorial and that the talks be given in person.

“In most congregations, the special talk, “Where Can You Find Real Hope?” will be presented the week of April 4.

“And this year, the Memorial of Jesu’ death will be held on Friday, April 15.”

(The Memorial is a special occasion for remembering Jesus’ death by the Witnesses globally on a given date.)

The development was further reiterated by Mr. Olusegun Eroyemi, the Spokesperson of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Nigeria during an interview with Sahara TV.

Mr. Eroyemi disclosed that Jehovah’s Witnesses will be returning back to in-person meetings after the restrictions imposed while the Covid-19 pandemic lasted.

IPOB vs Unknown Gunmen: Unfolding sword fights will be long-drawn. It will be bloody

It is now beyond debate, all is not well with Nigeria’s southeast region. Activities of certain, yet suspectedly disparate armed groups have unsettled security arrangements in the formerly peaceful region.

The cracks have always been there. Riotous conclusion of the otherwise peaceful #EndSARS protest was only a marked announcement of a season of harvest.

To be sure, “unknown gunmen,” like many other armed ideological groups before it, initially enjoyed the support of a significant percentage of the masses. Federal government’s precipitably inept reaction to herdsmen terrorism, an often unspoken yet palpable fear of domination, strong feeling of marginalisation, aloofness of southeast’s political elite, and other issues watered the ground for mass acceptance of any group that was supposedly fighting for the people’s “freedom.”

Expectedly, not all southeasterners fell for the eloquent, often acerbic, but decidedly efficient media justification of the pursuit of a desired future. Nigeria’s federal government has to respond, one way or the other, to the uncouth charges of unfair treatment and a pronounced unwillingness to continue with the union.

The federal government had better options. It could genuinely attempt to make sense of the deep-seated feelings which prompted what looks like a brazen demand. Nigeria’s metaphoric sick child, it appears, has asked for the wrong medication. And the mother decides to either strangulate or let him die of sickness because his demand was unwise. If you come to think of it, the child is not any less sick because he asked for the wrong medication. Well, that is the exact way agitations work. Their specific method may be rash, but their pains, hunger, aspirations and resultant demands come from very deep and often irrepressible sources.

The federal government had only one job – “to understand those deeper demands and to find civilized satisfactions for them.” Or better still to reason with the sick child and then provide him the right medication. Led by a retired soldier who has a civil war experience under his belt, Nigeria made almost no attempt to look beyond the rash manifestations of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and get to the deeper impulses which inspire them.

The federal government instead deployed the full levers of the state to torture those impulses, shooting at them, disappearing them, enacting laws, making judicial pronouncements and lifting its heavy hand against them — doing everything but sifting carefully to understand them.

No one’s previously recorded insight on matters like this could have offered Nigeria’s policy makers better value than the immutable Walter Lippman’s.

“Yet when government was asked to handle the question it had for wisdom an ancient conception of itself as a policeman. Its only method was to forbid, to prosecute, to jail–in short, to use the taboo. But experience has shown that the taboo will not solve “moral and social questions”–that nine times out of ten it aggravates the disease. Political action becomes a petty, futile, mean little intrusion when its only method is prosecution.”

Nigeria’s federal government did not apply itself to this wisdom. Of all the tools in its governance arsenal, it chose to call up the one which seemed most convenient yet had more damning consequences.

By opting for fire and brimstone, Nigeria’s federal government presented itself as an organisation which speaks mostly in the language of brute force. Current situation in the southeast is nothing but the crude reaction of some citizens attempting to speak to their government in the only language the government is perceived to understand.

As the federal government rounded up separatists and tried to forcefully shut them up, it inadvertently armed them with a practical instead of a rhetorical argument against the government. Any careful analyst can quite easily plot a straight-line graph from the point of federal government’s response to separatist agitations in the southeast to present day occurrences in the region.

Since the federal government proscribed IPOB and designated it a terrorist organisation, certain armed groups have emerged, appearing to be in a haste to justify the new tag and fulfil that troubling prophecy.

Today, Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB/Eastern Security Network (ESN) is squarely in the place the Federal Government wants it to be. This writer is pretty much convinced that the federal government is also in the exact spot IPOB/ESN wants it to be. Both entities suspectedly set traps for each other and interestingly hit their targets.

Nnamdi Kanu mastered his script. He deliberately set out to make social demands so strong and compelling that Nigeria will be literally forced to deal with them. As the government tries to tactfully arrive at their preferred destination, separatist rhetorics and violent field campaigns continue.

IPOB/ESN keeps denying its involvement in the ongoing terror in the southeast. Their arguments, no matter how weak, should be considered, even if they are not going to be accepted. One thing is clear however; the people terrorising the southeast today are acting in the name, and metaphorically speaking the language, of IPOB/ESN. That in itself is both revealing and potentially misleading.

Neither IPOB/ESN nor the federal government is right in their zero sum approach. Both seem eager to ruthlessly show their might while also trying to play the victim card, especially to the international community. I suspect that both entities grossly underestimate each other’s inherent capacity for evil. I also suspect that both, especially the weaker power, overestimate the attention and assumed benevolence of the international community.

Unfolding sword fights will be long-drawn. It will be bloody. There will be no winner.

What will emerge is a country at an avoidable but very costly war with itself. If mediation efforts fail to yield immediate results, the only achievements will be broken bones, mangled bodies and orphaned children.

One doesn’t have to stretch the imagination too far before coming to the conclusion that both the government and the governed will at some point grow weary of armed confrontations. When that time comes, both will stop speaking through the barrels. They will agree to talk to each other in the language of civilised men and women.

War is costly. Power has decayed. We can draw this conclusion from our experiences and perhaps from piles of research papers documenting other people’s experiences. Nigeria and the separatists can painstakingly look for and find that all-important middle ground now. It can also decide to find it after wasting each other. May sound reasoning prevail.

Anthony Joshua’s rematch against Oleksandr Usyk may happen in June @ Saudi Arabia

Anthony Joshua’s world heavyweight championship rematch with Ukrainian war hero Oleksandr Usyk is set to take place in Saudi Arabia at the end of June.

According to Mail Online, a mega-million-dollars deal to move Joshua’s bid to regain his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles away from London was reached in principal at Middle East time last night, with June 25 earmarked as the most likely date.

Joshua lost his heavyweight titles to former cruiserweight king Usyk last September.

A rematch between the pair was brought back then, but it was recently put in jeopardy after Usyk returned to Ukraine to help fight against Russian attacks in the country.

Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn insisted that the rematch would still take place despite the ongoing crisis after Saudi Arabia forked out a reported £90million to host the rematch with June 25 being the frontrunner date, as claims MailOnline.

The price tag for the fight is a third more than the £60million Saudi paid for Joshua’s rematch with Andy Ruiz in 2019.

Both fighters recently hinted the rematch would go ahead, with Usyk writing on Instagram: “I decided to start preparing for a rematch with Anthony Joshua. A large number of my friends support me, all the rest of the good and peace, Thank God for everything.”

Usyk’s training announcement came just three weeks after he put a rematch against Joshua in doubt by stating: “I really don’t know when I’m going to be stepping back in the ring. My country and my honour are more important to me than a championship belt.”

Joshua will look to become just the sixth three-time heavyweight champion in boxing history by avenging his loss to Usyk.

Taliban Dress Code: Regime Bans Government Officials without beards from work

Taliban has instructed all government employees to wear a beard and adhere to a dress code or risk being fired.

Representatives from the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice were patrolling the entrances to government offices on Monday March 28, to check that employees were in compliance with the new rules.

According to the sources, “Employees were being instructed not to shave their beards and to wear local clothing consisting of a long, loose top and trousers, and a hat or turban.

“They were also told to ensure they prayed at the correct times.”

Workers were told they would from now on be unable to enter offices and would eventually be fired if they did not meet the dress codes.

Last week, the Taliban banned women from taking flights without a male chaperone and failed to open girls’ schools as promised.

The Taliban administration has drawn criticism at home and from Western governments for forcing its hardline interpretation of Islamic law onto all Afghans.

On Sunday it ordered parks to be segregated by sex, with women allowed to enter three days a week, and men the other four days, including the weekend, meaning even married couples and families cannot visit together.

Chelsea CEO, Roman Abramovich maybe poisoned as he ‘went blind for hours and his skin peeled off’

Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich reportedly suffered suspected poisoning along with Ukraine peace negotiators.

The Russian Billionaire held talks with Ukraine president Vlodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin in a mediator role earlier this month.

And now, according to Wall Street Journal’s Max Colchester, Abramovich was showing symptoms of poisoning after a meeting in Kyiv earlier in the month.

Abramovich and at least two senior members of the Ukrainian team developed symptoms including red eyes, constant and painful tearing, and peeling skin on their faces and hands after a meeting in Kyiv earlier this month.

Their conditions have improved and their lives aren’t in danger and it is unclear as to what caused the symptons.

The WSJ continues to report that they blamed the suspected attack on hard-liners in Moscow who they said wanted to sabotage talks to end the war. A person close to Mr. Abramovich said it wasn’t clear who had targeted the group.

The report continues to state that western experts have looked into the incident and state that it was hard to determine whether the symptoms were caused by a chemical or biological agent or by some sort of electromagnetic-radiation attack.

This comes after Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK Government and listed Chelsea for sale.

The Russian listed the Club for sale on March 2 after the Government released reasoning for his sanctioning.

In a statement released by gov.uk, it states: “Given the significant impact that today’s sanctions would have on Chelsea football club and the potential knock on effects of this, the Government has this morning published a licence which authorises a number of football-related activities to continue at Chelsea.

IPOB distance themselves from Nnamdi Kanu’s Disciple, Simon Ekpa

Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Saturday disowned Simon Ekpa, the self-acclaimed Finland-based disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, saying Ekpa is not a member of the group.

IPOB in a statement issued by Emma Powerful on Saturday said Ekpa could not abide by the group’s rules and at such formed his own group that was not in any way related to IPOB.

The group further urged Ekpa to stop using the group and Eastern Security Network to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

The statement reads, “We, the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra under the command and leadership of Mazi Nnamdi KANU wish to disassociate our noble movement from the ignoble and criminal activities of Simon Ekpa and his autopilot group.

“IPOB has been existing long before Simon Ekpa and autopilot group came on board. Simon Ekpa and his group are neither part of IPOB worldwide family neither do they subscribe to our operational methodology and people should therefore stop associating them with the revered IPOB under the command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“Henceforth they and the general public are put on notice to desist from using the name of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, ESN and IPOB to defraud the unsuspecting public or for any of their activities. Ekpa and his group should stop their attempt to ridicule and debase the institutions our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu sacrificed all to establish.

“We want to place it on record that Simon Ekpa is not, and has never been a member of IPOB. Since he does not want to abide by the ideals of IPOB he should form his own group and pursue Biafra freedom the way he is convinced and stop attaching himself to the cherished name of IPOB.

“Simon Ekpa should know that the politicians sponsoring him and his group to demonise IPOB, ESN and Nnamdi Kanu will soon abandon him and his sinister activities.

“We want his family, friends and associates who know him to advise him to leave IPOB out of his activities. Simon Ekpa, autopilot and Umuada highways in America should stop their attempt to tarnish the hallowed name of IPOB and its security arm the ESN established by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to liberate our people from the bondage of Fulani terrorists nation called Nigeria.

“The purported Nollywood classroom unveiling of what was termed M.Branch was a folly taken too far which simply revealed the motive and the agenda of Simon Ekpa and his sponsors.

“The general public should stop associating IPOB with such Nollywood movies. We are confronted with very serious existential threat and can not for any reason turn this noble cause of freedom and liberty of the Indigenous people of Biafra into a circus. Please the public and the mainstream media should be properly guided.

“These self-acclaimed autopilots without aeroplanes should desist from creating the impression that they are part of this noble family led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu because they are not.

“We are calling on European Union and the world to take note of anyone trying to use the name of IPOB to instigate crisis in our land

“We want to clarify that M-Branch which these dissidents are claiming to be forming in a room somewhere, was commissioned by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu many years ago before launching ESN.

“IPOB’s M-Branch personnel do not have uniform. M-BRANCH is the IPOB international secret service. They are not in uniform Just as secret service people anywhere are not uniformed men. So, anybody claiming to be forming M-Branch with uniform is on his own.

“M-BRANCH is a secret service in the ESN structure created by MNK. No one has seen them before. They have no uniform and very few people actually know about their operations. So ask yourself why would anyone claim he has publicly launched an intelligence Unit in IPOB if such a person is not working sinisterly for a paymaster in the pursuit of an evil agenda?

“People should be properly guided and not allow themselves to be scammed. A word is enough for the wise.”

Putin ‘cannot remain in power’ – Biden says

US President Joe Biden has called for Russian President Vladimir Putin to be deposed. He made a direct appeal to the Russian people during a speech in Warsaw, where he had met for talks with high-ranking Ukrainian officials on Saturday.

“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden declared at the end of an emotionally overwrought speech in the Polish capital’s Royal Castle. While he has previously denounced Putin as a “war criminal” and a “dictator,” and lobbed at him all manner of other geopolitical insults, this was his first recorded demand that the president be removed from office.

Biden also spoke directly to “the Russian people,” insisting that despite weeks of punishing sanctions and forcing hundreds of American and European-based companies to pull out of the country, “you, the Russian people, are not our enemy.”

He then attempted to liken Ukrainians fighting “Russian aggression” to the Soviet Union defending itself from Nazi Germany in World War II.

Biden spoke more sternly to Russian leaders, warning them not to “even think about moving on one single inch of NATO territory,” due to the “sacred obligation” the alliance has under Article 5, its mutual defense treaty.

“American forces are in Europe — not in Europe—” the president began, correcting himself, “to engage in conflict with Russian forces.” Biden warned 100,000 American troops were waiting to defend Washington’s European allies.

The president warned NATO and its allies that the fight against Russia “would not be easy, there will be costs, but it’s a price we have to pay,” before waxing poetic about the “flame of liberty” chasing off the “darkness that drives autocracy.”

Not one to miss an opportunity, Biden cited Europe’s dependence on Russian oil and gas as motivation to move toward green energy. Fuel prices in Europe and to a lesser extent the US have soared in the wake of sanctions placed on Russian oil and gas.

A White House official hastily followed up Biden’s speech by unpacking the statements that pointed toward regime change for Russia, insisting “the president’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region. He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.”

Lip fillers gone bad as lady cries out

A woman’s lips became extremely swollen after she suffered an extreme allergic reaction to her lip fillers.

Kailee Jones, 23, got the injections because she thought her lips looked too small.

Woman

She had 1ml of lip filler placed across her upper and lower lips, but claims that within an hour of the treatment her lips began to “balloon”.

Kailee believes that she had an allergic reaction to the lip filler and says applying ice to her mouth only made the swelling worse.

The technology consultant spent the next 48 hours unable to speak, drink or eat normally because of her sore “sausage lips”.

Woman

Kailee has shared the photos of her allergic reaction to warn people about the possible side effects of lip filler.

The graduate, from the US, said: “I’ve always had thinner lips and they disappear when I smile so I wanted to make them fit my face a little bit more.

“Everything went well at the appointment and the first hour after it started swelling but I think it was just normal because they do swell.

“I kept icing them and I think that the ice might have made it worse because then they really started to blow up.

“Once it hit after an hour or two they were really big and then it was 48 hours of them being that big.”

She added: “I couldn’t drink anything or even open my mouth to talk – I couldn’t speak.

Woman

“I would say they were eight times the size of my normal lips, it was unreal. I looked like the Monsters, Inc. character.”

Doctors gave Kailee oral steroids to bring the swelling down, but wanted her that the swelling may close her throat if it travelled from her lips to her neck.

Luckily, Kailee’s lips began to calm down after three days and she didn’t need further treatment or for the filler to be dissolved.

Putin wanted to cut Ukraine into two like North and South Korea – Ukrainian intelligence says

Ukraine’s military intelligence has said Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to carve Ukraine into two – like North and South Korea.

Brig. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Agency, said Russia’s operations around Kyiv to remove the government had failed and it was now impossible for the Russian army to overthrow the Ukrainian government of Volodimir Zelensky saying the war is now focused on the south and the east of the country, he said.

“There is reason to believe that he is considering a ‘Korean’ scenario for Ukraine. That is, [Russian forces] will try to impose a dividing line between the unoccupied and occupied regions of our country. In fact, it is an attempt to create North and South Korea in Ukraine.”

Putin wants to carve Ukraine into two like North and South Korea - Ukrainian military intelligence chief

Budanov said Russia wanted to establish a land corridor from the Russian border to Crimea, and that he expected to see an attempt to unite Russian-occupied territories (Luhansk, Donetsk and Crimea) into a single entity.

“We are already seeing attempts to create “parallel” authorities in the occupied territories and to force people to give up [the Ukrainian] currency,” Budanov said, adding that he expects Ukrainians to resist Russia’s political efforts.

Russian soldier surrenders with his tank in return for Ukrainian citizenship and 8,000€

A Russian soldier has reportedly handed himself and his tank over to Ukrainian troops for a reward of $10,000 (£7,500) and Ukrainian citizenship.

According to Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Victor Andrusiv, Misha (not real names) was one of President Vladimir Putin’s invading soldiers, but he has now surrendered a T-72B3 main battle tank after his two other crewmates escaped home and his commanding officer threatened to shoot him.

Andrusiv said Misha had contacted Ukraine‘s national police by phone and arranged a place to meet but Ukraine had to be careful and send in a drone with camera to meet the soldier just to be sure it wasn’t an ambush.

He said: ‘For a few weeks in the National Police we have identified the phones used by Russians.

‘On these phones, we regularly send SMS about how to surrender and hand over the equipment.

‘A few days ago, Misha called us.

‘We handed over the information about him to the GUR MO [Ukrainian military intelligence].

‘He didn’t see the point of war.

Misha not real names Post

Special forces then detained Misha, who lay face-down with his hand up as he surrendered.

The seized T-72B3 tank has the capacity for a three-person crew and is fitted with a 125 mm smoothbore main gun as well as a machine gun and an anti-tank guided missile. It is a relatively new Russian upgrade of their old T-72B tanks used by Ukraine.

Andrusiv added the Russian soldier will spend the remainder of the war as a prisoner in ‘comfortable conditions with a TV, phone, kitchen and shower’.

The surrender by the Russian soldier comes days after Ukrainian state arms manufacturer Ukroboronprom offered $1million for the capture of battle-ready Russian aircraft.

Ukroboronprom said: ‘To the pilots of the Russian Federation ready to participate in the programme, we guarantee the issuance of citizenship of a free country!’

The arms manufacturer also added it would give $500,000 for every combat helicopter seized from the Russians that could still be used.

Russia have changed their focus – Russian Army may be moving towards Donbass

The chief of the Russian army has stated that Russia will focus its main war effort on the “complete liberation” of the eastern Ukrainian Donbas region, a change from its previous mission of trying to invade the whole country, decapitate the Kyiv government and change leadership.

On Friday, March 24, the defence ministry said Russia had been considering two options for its “special military operation” – one covering the whole of Ukraine and one focusing on the Donbas.

The comments come as Russian forces have met strong resistance in the north of Ukraine and around Kyiv.

Russia to focus war on eastern Ukraine - Russian army chief signifies military ambitions have changed

Sergey Rudskoy, head of the main operational department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, said 93% of Luhansk oblast and 54% of Donetsk oblast was under Russian control.

He said Russia had destroyed the vast majority of Ukraine’s air force and navy, and this marked the successful end of the first phase of the conflict, he added.

However, the defence ministry said Russia would react immediately to any move to close airspace over Ukraine – something Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has repeatedly urged.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu files N25B suit against Nigerian Govt over his illegal extradition

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu who is still being detained by the Department of State Services has filed a lawsuit against his extradition from Kenya, against the federal government.

In the N25bn lawsuit filed by his Special Counsel, Mr Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu argued that his extradition was “unconstitutional”.

The IPOB leader is seeking N25 billion as damages for “the physical, mental, emotional, psychological, property” loss he suffered during his extradition.

He is seeking;

“A declaration that the arrest of the Applicant in Kenya by the Respondents’ agents without due process of law is arbitrary, and the Respondents’ enforced disappearance of the Applicant for eight days and their refusal to produce the Applicant before a Kenyan Court for the purpose of Applicant’s extradition is illegal, unlawful, unconstitutional and amount to infringement of the Applicant’s fundamental right against arbitrary arrest, to his personal liberty and to fair hearing as enshrined and guaranteed under the pertinent provisions of CFRN and the Charter.

“A declaration that the detention of the Applicant in a non-official secret facility in Kenya and the torture of the Applicant in Kenya by the Respondents’ agents is illegal, unlawful, unconstitutional and amount to infringement of the Applicant’s fundamental right against unlawful detention, torture and to fair hearing, as enshrined and guaranteed under the pertinent provisions of CFRN and the Charter).

Ejimakor said Nnamdi Kanu approached a Federal High Court after the High Court of Abia State on January 19, 2022, declined jurisdiction on grounds that rendition, being related to extradition, lies within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Federal High Court.

Putin loses another Commander, General Yakov Rezantsev, as they invade Ukraine

Russia has lost another of its generals in the war in Ukraine, Kyiv military sources said.

Lieutenant General Yakov Rezantsev, 48, commander of the army’s 49th combined arms division, became the fifth general to be killed after being taken out in a strike by the Ukrainian armed forces, sources in Kyiv said.

The news means, the Russian army has now lost a staggering 16 military commanders in a month, as Putin’s invading forces suffer heavy losses at the hands of  Ukrainian defenders.

Rezantsev, who bragged on just the fourth day of the war that it would be over in a matter of hours, was apparently killed after the Ukrainian army destroyed the commanding post of the 49th Russian Army in southern Ukraine.

A soldier claimed Rezantsev told them on the fourth day of their deployment: ‘It’s no secret to anyone that there are only a few hours until this special operation is over.’

‘And now those hours are still going.’

A senior NATO military officer said the alliance estimates that Russia has suffered between 30,000 and 40,000 battlefield casualties in Ukraine through the first month of the war, including between 7,000 and 15,000 killed.

Rezantsev is the fifth Russian general that Ukraine claims to have killed since Russia invaded their country.

Major-General Oleg Mityaev, 47, commander of the army’s 150th motorised rifle division, died fighting in the besieged city of Mariupol while Major General Vitaly Gerasimov, 45, was killed on March 7 outside the eastern city of Kharkiv.

United States would respond if Russia uses chemical weapons – Biden confirms

U.S. President, Joe Biden has stated that the United States will respond if Russia were to use chemical weapons in its invasion of Ukraine.

Accordingly to Biden,  who attended a NATO, EU and G7 summit in Brussels on Thursday, March 24, the US’ response would depend on the kind of weapons of mass destruction, Russian president, Vladimir Putin will deploy.

“So you’ve warned about the real threat of chemical weapons being used. Have you gathered specific intelligence that suggests that President Putin is deploying these weapons, moving them into position or considering their use? And would the US or NATO respond with military action if he did use chemical weapons?” the Associated Press asked the US President during his news conference.

Biden responded that he could not provide information on intelligence, but added on the issue of chemical weapons;

“We would respond if he uses it. The nature of the response would depend on the nature of use.”

Also earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance will reinforce its chemical, biological and nuclear defense systems on fears Russia is planning to use such weapons against the people of Ukraine.

Biden said “we’re determined to sustain” efforts outlined during the emergency NATO meeting right after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and “to build on them.”

“The United States is committed to provide over $2 billion in military equipment to Ukraine since I became president. Anti-air systems, anti-armor systems, , ammunition and our weapons are flowing into Ukraine as I speak. And today, I am announcing the United States is prepared to commit more than $1 billion in humanitarian assistance to help get relief to millions of Ukrainians affected by the war in Ukraine,” Biden said.

Biden said the US is ready to welcome 100,000 Ukrainian refugees in to the country.

Biden also said Putin thought he could catch NATO off guard, but said his actions in Ukraine only tightened the alliance .

“NATO has never, never been more united than it is today. Putin is getting exactly the opposite what he intended to have as a consequence of going into Ukraine,” he said.

Ukrainian troops destroys Russian warship and two other navy vessels in occupied port of Berdyansk (Video)

A Russian ship and two other Russian navy vessels have been destroyed by the Ukraine military in the occupied Ukrainian port city of Berdyansk.

The Ukrainian military posted footage on Thursday, March 24 saying the warship known as the ‘Orsk’ had been hit by its forces.

Berdyansk, a port city which links annexed Crimea to the besieged port of Mariupol and can help create a land bridge to mainland Russia was seized four days after Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia has used the port as a base to ferry in equipment for its troops.

Ukrainian military destroys Russian warship and two other navy vessels in occupied port of Berdyansk (Video)

The Russian army’s TV channel hailed the arrival of the Orsk in Berdyansk last week as an “epic event” as it was the first Russian warship to dock there.

Video posted by the Ukranian navy and on social media showed explosions and a big ship on fire at the port at 07:00 (05:00GMT) on Thursday.

While the Orsk was said to have been destroyed, fire reportedly spread to other vessels as well as an ammunition depot and a fuel terminal in the port. Footage from the scene appeared to show two ships sailing at speed from the port.

Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar told Ukrainian TV that the military had hit a “huge target”, capable of carrying 20 tanks, 45 armoured vehicles and 400 troops.

Ukrainian officials said the attack on the Orsk had further symbolic value, suggesting that it may have taken part in Russia’s original capture of Crimea in 2014, pointing to medals apparently awarded to the ship’s commander and a crewman.

“We have hacked Russia’s Central Bank and will release files with secret agreements in 48 hours” – Anonymous claims

International hacking collective, Anonymous has claimed it has hacked into Russia’s Central Bank – and is threatening to release 35,000 files which include ‘secret agreements’ in the next 48 hours.

The bank is responsible for protecting and ensuring the safety of the ruble, the Russian currency which has plummeted in value since the invasion of Ukraine began last month.

In a post on Twitter, Anonymous revealed its latest hack with brief details.

Alongside an image of a smiling mask,  the group wrote: ‘JUST IN: The #Anonymous collective has hacked the Central Bank of Russia. More than 35.000 files will be released within 48 hours with secret agreements. #OpRussia’.

Anonymous claims it has hacked Russia

It comes as speculation has mounted in recent days over the future of central bank head, Elvira Nabiullina.

Elvira was recently pictured looking dejected at a Kremlin meeting and posted a cryptic video, in which she admitted that the Russian economy was in an ‘extreme’ situation and said, ‘We all very much would have liked this not to have happened.’

Mesut Ozil removed from the Fenerbahce team indefinitely after being deemed ‘physically fit’

Mesut Ozil has been excluded from Fenerbahce’s squad indefinitely after alleged verbal altercation with the club’s interim manager and a lack of fitness in their last game.

The 33-year-old former Germany international has made 37 appearances for the Turkish giants since joining from Arsenal in January last year.

‘Our Football A Team players Mesut Ozil and Ozan Tufan were excluded from the squad as per the decision taken. It is announced to the public,’ a statement read.

The club revealed they will make the reason behind the decision public in due course, but Ozil was withdrawn at half-time in Fenerbahce’s 2-1 win against Konyaspor at the weekend.

And football.london claim the attacking midfielder was involved in a verbal altercation with Kartal in their victory against the second-placed side.

According to Mail Online, Ozil’s public exclusion from the squad prevents him from training with the first team ahead of their away fixture this weekend against 14th-placed Kayserispor, the report adds.

This comes after it was claimed in reports in Turkey that he has been ‘unhappy’ in the Super Lig since joining, and was slammed by Fenerbahce president Ali Koc at the end of 2021.

‘Since the start of this season, Mesut Ozil has been compared to Robin van Persie,’ Koc told Fenerbahce TV via talkSPORT.

‘Ozil wants to play more. From now on, he needs to focus on his game and keep his commercial interests out of it. He needs to think about contributing to Fenerbahce.

‘Our coach also needs to try to figure out how to get the most out of Ozil. There is not a problem, despite what the media says. Mesut is unhappy because he does not play regularly.’

Moreover, according to Turkish outlet Aksam, Ozil was deemed ‘physically incompetent’ and struggled to keep up with the high-intensity level of Sunday’s match.

The 92-cap ex-Germany midfielder missed eight Fenerbahce games at the start of this year due to a lower back problem.

However, the report claims the club fear the injury has set Ozil further back physically, and he was replaced after playing at a ‘low tempo’ in the first half, according to Milliyet via Aksam.

The report adds Ozil’s situation was discussed by Kartal’s staff, who came to the decision the remaining weeks of the season would be very difficult for both parties if he continued to play.

They report Kartal has therefore decided to take the No 10 shirt off the star player, agreeing with his staff that Ozil would be unable to cope with higher-tempo fixtures.

Milliyet also states fellow midfielder Mert Hakan Yandas will take Ozil’s spot in the starting XI until the end of the season.

ALERT! Most artificial sweeteners poses risk of cancers by 13 per cent – New study claims

Scientists from the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research, and Sorbonne Paris Nord University, have carried out a new study suggesting that some artificial sweeteners used in food and drink raise the risk of cancers by up to 13 per cent

The scientists say they monitored the diet and health of 100,000 people over eight years and found a 13 per cent higher rise of cancer risk for people who regularly consumed artificial sweeteners.

This highest risk was observed for the sweeteners aspartame and acesulfame-K, used in soft drinks like Diet Coke and Coke Zero, as well yogurts and cheese.

The French researchers looked at the diet and health records of 102,865 French adults who had an average age of 42. Three-quarters were women.

During the study, participants submit 24-hour dietary records every six months.

Researchers compared their artificial sweetener intake to cancer diagnoses reported by the participants up to January 2021.

About 37 per cent of participants knowingly consumed artificial sweeteners at least once a day.

By the end of the study 3,358 had been diagnosed with cancer, with their average age at the time their disease was found being 59.5 years.

Of these, 982 were breast cancers, 403 were prostate cancers and 2,032 were obesity related cancers.

The new findings suggested those people consuming larger quantities (typically 79mg per day) of artificial sweeteners had a 13 per cent higher risk of overall cancer compared to those having none.

Higher risks were observed for breast cancer (22 per cent increased risk for aspartame) and obesity-related cancers, the scientists said.

But strikingly, the study had several limitations, including that those in the study were more likely to be women and to be health-conscious.

Dietitian Emma Carder states: ‘Research into sweeteners shows they’re perfectly safe to eat or drink on a daily basis as part of a healthy diet.

They’re a really useful alternative for people with diabetes who need to watch their blood sugar levels while still enjoying their favourite foods.

‘Like sugar, sweeteners provide a sweet taste, but what sets them apart is that, after consumption, they do not increase blood sugar levels,’ she says.

Scientists for a while have also believed artificial sweeteners may have a stimulating effect on appetite and, therefore, may play a role in weight gain and obesity even though there’s little or insignificant evidence from longer term studies to show that sweeteners cause weight gain.

The researchers said: ‘Our findings do not support the use of artificial sweeteners as safe alternatives for sugar in foods or beverages and provide important and novel information to address the controversies about their potential adverse health effects.

‘While these results need to be replicated in other large-scale cohorts and underlying mechanisms clarified by experimental studies, they provide important and novel insights for the ongoing re-evaluation of food additive sweeteners by the European Food Safety Authority and other health agencies globally.’

Dr Michael Jones, senior staff scientist in genetics and epidemiology at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), London, said the current consensus ‘is that there is no clear evidence that artificial sweeteners cause cancer in humans’, although the issue is frequently looked at.

‘The link between artificial sweeteners and cancer reported in this study does not imply causation – it is not proof that artificial sweeteners cause cancer.

‘The types of people who use artificial sweeteners may be different in many ways to those who do not, and these differences may partly or fully explain the association.’

Good afternoon admin…post for me and hide my id…I come here on behalf of my elder sister who has been married for 9 years with 4 kids(quadruplets). Her husband was so perfect, we always admired her marriage. last year she asked me if it’s normal that her husband spends hours laughing and chatting with his Male bestfriend and I told her its normal, weeks later she told me that she was having a feeling that the husband brings ladies home when she’s out of town, so I encouraged her to put CCTV cameras inside the house without the husband’s knowledge and she did…

so last week she brought her kids to my house with their clothes including school uniforms saying the husband and her were traveling out of the country for 2 weeks, later that evening she sent me an audio saying that I should forgive her incase of anything and shared her account details that the kids will be more safe with me.. when I asked her why,she sent videos of the husband having sxx with his bestfriend…..we found her at her home and she isn’t okay…the so called husband is nowhere to be seen…even his work place don’t know his whereabouts, it’s like his vanished …

she’s not talking or eating not even bathing…I asked if she would like to report the husband to the police but she just laughed and said “no, I Know what to do”..how do I help her with coping and healing cause she seems to have a plan of doing something unspeakable??”
