President Donald Trump’s election campaign website was temporarily “seized” by hackers who claim to have evidence that ‘proves his criminal involvement with foreign actors to manipulate the presidential election.
A message appeared on the president’s website that stated “this site has been seized” and the hackers claimed to have information that proved his ‘manipulation’ of the election.
The hackers posted a fake FBI-style seizure warning and claimed to have hacked various of Mr. Trump’s devices to gain “full access” to the president and his family.
According to the report, the website experienced difficulties at 7.20 pm ET on Tuesday but was working normally again by 7.45 pm ET.
“Strictly classified information is exposed proving that the Trump gov is involved in the origin of the coronavirus,” the hacker’s post read.
“We have evidence that completely discredits Mr Trump as a president, proving his criminal involvement and cooperation with foreign actors manipulating the 2020 elections. the US citizens have no choice.’”
The website was briefly taken offline to be fixed, with Tech observers later saying the hack appeared designed to collect cryptocurrency.
“Earlier this evening, the Trump campaign website was defaced and we are working with law enforcement authorities to investigate the source of the attack. There was no exposure to sensitive data because none of it is actually stored on the site. The website has been restored, ” said Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh.
An application to extradite former Minister of Petroleum Deizani Alison-Madueke from the United Kingdom, has been struck out by aFederal High Court sitting in Abuja.
This came after the prosecution counsel, Farouk Abdalla informed the court that the defendant had failed to appear in court in spite of notice of summons for her appearance that was published in a national daily and the EFCC’s website on August 20.
Ruling on the application, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu stated that another extradition request can be made after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) provides proof to support claim of earlier court summon failing in the extradition of Deizani.
She added that an extension order be made, as the prosecution needed to file an affidavit to support the warrant for extradition. Justice Ojukwu granted the prosecution more time to perfect every necessary document and file the same, before adjourning the case till December 3 for hearing.

According to Page Six, the reality star chartered an 88-seat Crystal Cruises’ Boeing 777-200LR last week to fly a group of under 30 including her sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner, brother Rob Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner to The Brando, a luxurious private island resort.
They jetted out of Los Angeles on Oct. 20 for the lavish tropical birthday party and returned home five days later.
The report said the group took over the entire breathtaking island, which features 35 one-, two- and three-bedroom villas and rent for up to $20,000 a night plus tax.
A source said, “The group was limited to Kim’s closest family and friends. Everyone on the trip was repeatedly tested for COVID before they left in the middle of the night on a private Boeing 777.
“Once on the island they had lavish dinner after dinner, spa treatments and hikes through the nature sanctuary. There was no expense spared. Everyone was banned from posting on social media by Kim to ensure her privacy.”
The trip was met with a series of backlash on social media after the reality star took to Twitter to brag about the lavish birthday party amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A teenage jihadist who beheaded a teacher last week in France was in contact with the parent behind an online hate campaign against the teacher, police on Tuesday October 20 revealed.
The teacher, Samuel Paty, 47, (pictured above) was beheaded outside his school near Paris after showing pupils cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in a lesson on free speech.
Brahim Chnina, father of a 13-year-old pupil of the school who found out about the teacher’s lessons, posted a video on social media earlier this month calling the teacher a “thug” and demanding he be sacked.
He also repeated his demands at a meeting with the headteacher as he was accompanied by a radical islamic preacher who is on France’s terror watchlist.
Brahim then posted another online message on Facebook, this time calling out Paty and the school where he worked.
According to Police, they believe 18 year old refugee Abdoullakh Anzorov after seeing the online message, travelled 50 miles from his home in Normandy to commit the atrocity.
Police sources on Tuesday October 20, told Reuters the gun-toting teenager messaged the pupil’s father before he decapitated Mr Paty with a kitchen knife.
Other reports from France say Brahim had exchanged WhatsApp messages with the killer in the days before the murder.
Brahim and preacher Abdelhakim Sefraoui were among 16 people arrested over the murder.
The murder which happened in Paris commuter belt town Conflans Saint-Honorine on Friday October 16, sparked online outrage across France.
Thousands marched in support of free speech on Sunday, carrying placards that declared #JeSuisSamuel and #JeSuisProf in an echo of the Charlie Hebdo terror attack of 2015.
Public figures called the murder an assault on French values, and Paty is to posthumously receive France’s highest award, the Legion d’Honneur.
France Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin speaking over the weekend said Mr Chnina and Mr Sefraoui had “launched a fatwa” against the teacher.
French Authorities also ordered the closure of the Paris suburb mosque that shared the Facebook hate video against Mr Paty.
One of the people arrested was reportedly a man who surrendered to police after he had been in contact with the killer for the past few weeks.
At least three people have been killed with two of them beheaded in a ‘terrorist’ knife attack at a catholic cathedral in Nice, France.
According to reports, the attack began around 9 am just as mass at the Notre Dame basilica – the largest Roman Catholic church in Nice started.
Among the three people that have been confirmed dead, a man and a woman were beheaded while several others were left injured in the attack at Notre Dame church in Nice, south of France.
Police quickly rushed to the scene, where they shot and arrested the attacker, who has been taken to hospital.
The city’s mayor, Christian Estrosi, tweeted: ‘I am on site with the [police] who arrested the perpetrator of the attack.
‘I confirm that everything suggests a terrorist attack in the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Nice.’
French interior minister Gerald Darmanin tweeted: “A police operation is in progress. “Avoid the area and follow the instructions.”
He also announced that he has called a “crisis meeting” in response to the attack.
The attack comes days after a teenage jihadist beheaded Samuel Paty, a history teacher for showing pupils cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad while teaching them about the importance of free speech.
He was posthumously awarded the Legion d‘Honneur, France’s highest award by French President Emmanuel Macron in recognition of the fact that he died for trying to explain the importance of freedom of speech.
President Macron also described the murder as an ‘Islamic terrorist attack’ that took the life of the French teacher.
He reportedly said: “Unity and firmness are the only answers to the monstrosity of Islamist terrorism.”
Turkey has flared up once again on a new cartoon published by France’s popular magazine Charlie Hebdo. The cartoon published in Charlie Hebdo shows the Turkish President lifting the woman’s burqa to see her naked body. A teacher was strangled to death on 16 October in Paris because of portraying cartoons involving the Prophet Mohammed with the students. France has described the incident as Islamic terrorism, after which a situation of tension has arisen between Turkey and France.

Reacting to this cartoon, Erdogan’s advisor Fahrettin Altun has said that this is the worst publication by the magazine to show cultural racism and hate.

Diplo claimed he slept with Beyonce over 10 years ago.
The American record producer made this claim in leaked text messages he sent to another woman in 2010.
The woman had sex with Diplo then reached out to him to let him know she got a sexually transmitted infection (STI) from him. She asked to know what kind of infection he has so she’ll know what she’s treating.
However, Diplo denied it, blasted her and called her a liar. Then to prove he couldn’t have given her an infection, he claimed he had sex with Beyonce.
Diplo wrote in his response to the woman: “Cause I don’t… Also I slept w Beyonce too.”
The screenshots were recently released to a Twitter influencer by the woman who exchanged the text with Diplo. The Twitter influencer said the woman was still in fear of Diplo as she reached out to her.
Some people said the messages might have been from a fake account so a video was recorded to show that the messages are from Diplo’s verified account.
Women have now reacted by blasting Diplo and accusing him of lying with Beyonce’s name. Others questioned if there’s truth in Diplo’s claim since the DJ and Beyonce aren’t strangers.
Diplo helped produce two tracks on Beyonce’s Lemonade album, “All Night” and “Hold Up”.

US leader, Donald Trump has had more than $270 million in debt forgiven since 2010 after he failed to repay his lenders for a Chicago skyscraper building development, a new report by the New York Times alleges.
According to the report published Tuesday night, October 27, after the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago encountered financial problems, big banks and hedge funds granted Trump more time to repay his debts, much of which was ultimately forgiven by the banks.
The report also stated that Trump paid almost nothing as federal income on the forgiven debts because he incurred financial losses in his other businesses.
According to the report, Trump arranged for two of his companies to borrow more than $700 million for the Chicago development and went to Deutsche Bank for the majority of the money.
The bank agreed to lend $640 million to the project, the newspaper said, but after construction delays, the loan came due while portions of the building were still unfinished.
Deutsche bank initially granted Trump an extension on paying back the loan, but Trump sued the bank along with Fortress Investment Group which had provided a $130 million loan for the project, for not giving him another extra time to pay off the loan.
The report also stated that Trump charged that Deutsche had engaged in “predatory lending practices.”
In July 2010, Deutsche Bank, Fortress and Trump reached a private settlement without disclosing the terms, the Times reported.
This report comes a month after the New York Times reported that Trump paid no federal income taxes whatsoever in 10 out of 15 years beginning in 2000 because he reported losing significantly more than he made.
The report alleged that in his first year in the White House, Trump paid just $750 in federal income taxes.
In response to the report, Trump Organization chief legal officer Alan Garten told the New York Times that the organization and Trump had paid all necessary taxes on the forgiven debts.
“These were all arm’s length transactions that were voluntarily entered into between sophisticated parties many years ago in the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crisis and the resulting collapse of the real estate markets,” Garten said.
Trump has never publicly released his tax returns claiming they are being audited by the IRS.

Thai Prime Minister, Prayuth Chan-ocha has dismissed calls from opposition parties to resignduring a special two-day session of parliament, saying he will ‘not run away from problems’ .
Prayuth instead called for a two day session to discuss months of protests demanding his departure and reforms to the powerful monarchy.
“I will not run away from problems. I will not leave my duty by resigning at a time when the country has problems,” the former army ruler told the assembly on Tuesday October 27.
The two-day parliamentary session is expected to discuss an incident earlier this month when protesters flashed three-finger salutes – a symbol of the movement – as the royal motorcade with Queen Suthida drove past.
“The protesters say it was not in the plan for the Queen to pass that way, but the government says she can go anywhere,” said Tankhun Jittitsara, one of the secretaries of House Speaker Chuan Leekpai.
“No one knows the truth so we’ll talk about that.”
Thailand, a country under Monarchy style rule, has seen protests that have brought tens of thousands of people onto the streets since mid-July, making it the biggest challenge in years to the monarchy.
In Thailand one can be punished with as much as 30 years imprisonment for merely criticizing the monarchy but since these protests, King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s Palace has made no comment not addressed his people.
Prime Minister Prayuth said the rallies, which he referred to as illegal protests, needed to be brought under control.
“Though the people have the freedom to protest based on the Constitution, authorities need to control the illegal protests,” the prime minister said.
“We do not want to see clashes or riots in the country,” he added, accusing some protesters of “inappropriate actions”.
Opposition members of parliament told Prayuth to stop hiding behind talks of loyalty to the monarchy and step down claiming he engineered the 2019 elections to keep power he seized in 2014 even though he claims the election was fair.
“You’ve been in power for six-and-a-half years – five years under your coup and one-and-a-half years when you gained benefit from an undemocratic constitution,” said Prasert Jantararuangthong, party secretary of the opposition Pheu Thai party.
“I call for General Prayut to resign as premier, which would be a solution to solve all problems.”
Prayuth said he had agreed to set up committees to study the problems tabled by the protesters, but claimed he did not know who he should talk to because “there are no leaders. They are all leaders.”
Some of the highest profile protesters were arrested this month in a crackdown under a week of emergency measures that were canceled after they sparked much bigger protests.

A one day old baby has tragically lost his life after he was mauled by a family Rottweiler dog.
According to a Tuesday report by Australian website, News.com.au., the unnamed child from Hamilton city in New Zealand, was pronounced dead on Sunday October 25, hours after being rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
“This is a traumatic time for all involved and our thoughts are with the families and individuals involved,” stated Hamilton City Council animal control manager Susan Stanford.
The Rottweiler attacked the baby boy, just a day after he was born.
“Police are continuing to make enquiries, and are liaising with relevant agencies,” said a police spokesman.
A neighbor, identified only as Karen, speaking to the website said she had seen the mother sitting on the grass next to the road, lovingly holding her newborn and that the attack occurred after the woman went to the bathroom.
“I sat beside the mother and put my arm around her,” said Karen.
“The baby boy was crying really hard. He was just so little.”
The neighbor also claimed that the Rottweiler tried to bury the baby.
She described the child after the attack as “all dirty and had bits of blood on him.”
According to the neighbor, both the Rottweiler and another dog owned by the new mother had been confiscated.
“The whole thing is horrible,” said Karen. “Every time I close my eyes I just see him.”

The former Minister of Finance in Nigeria, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has emerged as the new Director General of the World Trade Organization. She is the first female and first African Director-General of the WTO.
In a keenly contested election, Okonjo-Iweala beat her rival, South Korean Yoo Myung hee, with a wide margin. She polled 104 votes from 164 member countries to defeat Myung Hee at the final stage of the race.
Okonjo-Iweala received widespread support from Africa and other continents before the election which took place today October 28.
Her victory comes days after European Union member nations backed her candidacy against Ms. Myung hee, who was supported by the United States.
The official announcement is expected to be made by the WTO at 3pm Nigerian time today.
Okonjo-Iweala, 66, served as Nigeria’s first female Finance and later Foreign Affair minister, and has a 25-year career behind her as a development economist and international finance expert at the World Bank, eventually becoming its number two. She is also on Twitter’s board of directors and is a special envoy for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 fight.
Jason Njoku, the co-founder, and CEO of iROKOtv, and his wife, Mary Remmy, a Nollywood actress and ROK film boss, have tested positive for COVID-19.
Jason disclosed this via his Twitter handle this afternoon. He said while his wife feels very well, he, on the other hand, isn’t feeling great.

A High Court in Jinja, Uganda on Tuesday, October 27, sentenced a man to 50 years in prison for defiling and impregnating his 14-year-old biological daughter.
Amuza Kamulya, from Jinja District, pleaded guilty after his daughter and his wife showed up in court to testify against him.
He had denied the offence and had threatened to kill his daughter if she dared show up in court to testify.
However, last month, he changed his mind and pleaded guilty after his daughter appeared in court following a warrant of arrest against her and her mother to testify in the trial.
While convicting Kamulya, Justice Margaret Mutonyi, described his actions as “monstrous and satanic.”
“The monstrous convict robbed his daughter of her self-esteem and betrayed her trust in him. His reckless, satanic and savagery conduct, has left a mark on her that will never be erased from her mind and the damage is for a life time,” Justice Mutonyi ruled.
“The convict in this case being a biological father, who chose to abuse his daughter instead of protecting her, deserved to be sentenced to death by hanging but because he pleaded guilty, I am considering a lesser punishment of 50 years,” the judge added.
The prosecution evidence showed that Kamulya always moved around with his daughter while going to graze the cattle. He claimed he was protecting her from boys but instead took advantage of his daughter and defiled her.
Further in her judgment, Justice Mutonyi observed that sexual violence against children has become rampant and that courts needed to send a strong signal to the perpetrators.
“Sexual violence against children by close family members is very rampant and leaves the victims shattered. In the instant case, the kind of conduct exhibited by the convict, deserves retribution,” Justice Mutonyi observed.
She added: “If he could abuse his own child, he would not hesitate to do it to any other child.”
Human rights group, Amnesty International has asked the Federal Government to ensure that all persons involved in the October 20 shooting of EndSARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate are brought to justice.
In its latest report published on Wednesday October 28, by its country director Osai Ojigho, the rights group said it is still investigating the shooting and reported removal of bodies of persons allegedly killed during the shooting.
“Amnesty International is again calling on Nigerian authorities to bring to justice those behind the shooting and to protect those who are exercising their right to freedom of assembly.
“The organization is still investigating the shooting and the reported removal of bodies of those killed by the military in an attempt to remove evidence.”
The group noted that it had been monitoring developments across the country since the #EndSars protest began on October 8.
“What happened at Lekki Toll Gate has all the traits of the Nigerian authorities’ pattern of a cover-up whenever their defence and security forces commit unlawful killings.
One week on, the Nigerian authorities still have many questions to answer: who ordered the use of lethal force on peaceful protesters? Why were CCTV cameras on the scene dismantled in advance? And who ordered electricity being turned off minutes before the military opened fire on protesters?
The initial denials of the involvement of soldiers in the shooting was followed by the shameful denial of the loss of lives as a result of the military’s attack against the protests.
Many people are still missing since the day of the incident, and credible evidence shows that the military prevented ambulances from reaching the severely injured in the aftermath.”
The human rights group added that it tracked the military’s movements before the incident as narrated below:
Amnesty International’s Crisis Response experts investigated and verified social media videos and photographs that confirm the Nigerian security forces were present at the Lekki Toll Gate when the shootings occurred.
At 6:29pm local time in Lagos, two military vehicles were filmed leaving Bonny Camp on videos shared on social media.
Later footage shows four vehicles with flashing lights in a convoy, and they appear to be vehicles used by the Nigerian military and police.
The same vehicles headed east along Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue – which changes its name to the Lekki-Epe Expressway – in the direction of the Lekki Toll Gate.
On this route, the vehicles pass several international embassies and consulates, including the Japanese Embassy and the Australian High Commission.
Further photographs and footage capture the vehicles arriving at the toll gate, before the peaceful protest is disrupted by men in military uniform and gunfire is heard.
As night time descended, protesters continued to film and share videos of the shootings. Later in the evening, videos of the victims were also shared on social media.”
The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has in different interviews, stated that he never ordered the military to the Lekki tollgate where the protesters gathered.
However, in a statement released on Tuesday, October 27, the Nigerian Army says its officers were invited by the state government to enforce the curfew imposed by the state government. The Army in the statement, denied shooting any of the protesters

She said: “Just found out that I do have corona. I have been in my room. It’s gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days.”
She went on: “I suffer from migraines, but this was the craziest headache.

Her sister Kim Kardashian spoke out in the KUWTK episode, expressing her fears for Khloe’s health after learning she had fallen ill.

Veteran actor, Clem Ohameze has recounted how he was attacked by hoodlums in Akwa Ibom state.
Speaking in an interview on BBC Igbo, the actor revealed that he was on his way to a movie location in Abak Road on Thursday October 22, when he was attacked by the hoodlums.
Clem who said he initially thought they were #EndSARS protesters, said he was attacked by the hoodlums after being identified. He also revealed that they took his money, phones, damaged his car and also slashed his hand with a machete.
The actor said;
“It happened on Thursday in Uyo. The protesters, I ran into them. On recognising me, they just didn’t want to bother. They took everything away from me.
“They took N650,000 from me, all my phones. Destroyed my car, slashed my hand with a machete. I did a police report when this happened. I was on Abak Road in Uyo. I went to work on a movie set of my own.”
Ohameze who further revealed that he has been in an Uyo hospital since Thursday and was discharged on Sunday October 25, added that his attackers have pleaded guilty to assault to a police officer and are awaiting trial.

US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo is under investigation for potentially violating a federal law that forbids federal employees from participating in political activity while on duty or while inside federal owned buildings after he sensationally addressed the Republican Party national convention in August.
The Office of the Special Counsel, an independent federal investigative agency, has started a probe into Pompeo’s speech to the Republican National Convention while on a taxpayer funded trip to Jerusalem on August 25.
This investigation is the second investigation launched by the special counsel into potential Hatch Act violations by Pompeo, who has been accused of allegedly using State Department resources for personal or political gain.
“Our offices have confirmed that the Office of Special Counsel has launched a probe into potential Hatch Act violations tied to Secretary Pompeo’s speech to the Republican National Convention,” Rep. Ellot Engel, chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Rep. Nita Lowey, chairwoman of the House Committee on Appropriations, wrote in a joint statement on Tuesday.
“This information comes on the heels of reporting that OSC is also looking into Secretary Pompeo’s stated commitment to rush out more of Hillary Clinton’s emails by Election Day and as the Secretary has misused State Department resources on his speech tour of swing states,” the Democrats said.
“As we get closer to both this year’s election and his own inevitable return to electoral politics, Mike Pompeo has grown even more brazen in misusing the State Department and the taxpayer dollars that fund it as vehicles for the Administration’s, and his own, political ambitions,” the lawmakers said.
Democrats in congress are also looking into Pompeo’s push to have Donald Trump sack rhe State Department Inspector General, Steve Linick, who had been looking into five matters of potential wrongdoing at the State Department at the time, including Pompeo’s possible misuse of taxpayer resources.
Engel and Lowey added that Pompeo’s State Department has “repeatedly missed Congressional overseers’ deadlines for producing documents on his recent domestic speeches that will help us understand whether they were improper political activities. So we’re grateful to OSC—whom Mr. Pompeo can’t fire as he did the Inspector General—for looking into this matter.”

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has once again called for the regulation of social media in Nigeria. According to him, Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gunpowder if the issue of fake news shared on social media is not urgently addressed.
Lai Mohammed said this when he appeared before the House of Representatives Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics, and Values to defend the 2021 budget proposed by his ministry.
While responding to questions from members of the committee, Lai Mohammed said that the next war to be fought in the country and across the world might be fought through social media, making reference to the ongoing #EndSARS protests.
According to Mohammed, the biggest challenge facing the country was the issue of fake news and misinformation, adding that the government identified this since 2017 and decided to launch a national campaign against fake news. He explained that the government was not seeking to shut down the social media space in the country because “the social media has come to stay”, but to have a social media policy that regulates the social media and check fake news and misinformation.
“The biggest challenge facing Nigeria today is fake news and misinformation. Based on that, we dedicated an entire National Council on Information’s meeting to that issue, after which we launched a national campaign against fake news in July 2018.
We said, then, that the next war will be fought without a shot being fired, but with the use of fake news. We didn’t stop there. We went on a tour of all media houses to solicit their support in the fight against fake news. We launched the campaign to regulate social media, which was bitterly contested by the stakeholders. We kept saying that if we don’t regulate social media, it will destroy us. Social media and fake news will not destroy Nigeria.
The recent #EndSARS war was fought on social media. They mobilised using the social media. The war today revolves around two things. Smartphone and data and these young men don’t even watch television or listen to radio or read newspapers. You will be shocked that when you start arguing with your children, they will be quoting the social media. So, we need a social media policy in Nigeria and we need to empower the various agencies and we need technology to be able to regulate the social media.”
Members of the committee, however, disagreed with the Minister.
A member, Emmanuel Oghene, warned against any attempt to shut down the social media in the country, saying the action will be counter-productive and would make the youths to believe that there is an attempt to truncate democracy in the country. He said the government should not only focus on the negative effect of social media.
“Talking about the recent looting of COVID-19 items, in some places they will be looting, but nobody will know. The government will not know and the police will not know. But because of social media, people will be posting as it is happening and the government will be able to go there and save lives.
There was a time when some boys were digging the road and because of social media, this information came out and the situation was arrested. If there are no social media, that will not happen.
I want to appeal that this desire to shot down the social media, we should not overdo it because it will harm us. China is not a good example because it is a communist country. Nigeria has always been free, we are a Democratic country.
Let us look at other democracies and see what they have done with their social media. This technology is already here. It is not going to go away. We should have enough laws in our law books to deal with social media. If people post things that are not correct, they can be taken to court. If the laws are not enough, bring a bill and the National Assembly will pass it into law. If you shut down the social media, democracy will be greatly hampered.”he said
A woman claiming to be the mother of a young man who reportly died in the Lekki shootings has spoken up to counter the claims that no one died.
Shortly after peaceful protesters were shot at on October 20, 2020, pictures started flying around of a young man named Anthony Okechukwu, who died in the shootings.
A woman claiming to be Anthony’s mother has now spoken out from her base outside Nigeria. She said she found out about her son’s death online when she saw his photo being circulated.
She explained that she called her other son who is in Russia and he confirmed to her that her son Mmazuo Anthony Okechukwu, 23, died from gunshot wounds.
The mother thanked her son’s friends who stayed with the body.
She said: “First of all, I want to thank his friends who picked him up from when he was shot.
“If it wasn’t for his friends, maybe the soldiers who picked up other corpse would have picked him up and say nobody died.
“Those children saw when Anthony was running with gunshot wounds, they stayed with him.”
She then called out the Nigerian government for claiming no one died.
She said: “I cannot fathom what happened. A lot of our children, a lot of our youths, killed. And you lot have the effrontery to come out and look everybody, the whole world, to say nobody died.
“May death befall all of you.”
She revealed that her son’s body is now in a mortuary in Lagos.

Prince Azim, the son of the Sultan of Brunei, has suddenly died at the age of 38, the southeast Asian kingdom announced on Monday October 26.
Azim, who was a Hollywood movie producer, died on Saturday, October 24. His funeral also took place that same day, before the nation entered a seven-day period of mourning.
The government did not disclose the cause of his death.
The sultan’s second-born son, who was fourth in line to the southeast Asian nation’s throne, was well known for hosting extravagant parties with celebrity guests including, Janet Jackson, Pamela Anderson, and Mariah Carey.

FIFA president, Gianni Infantino has tested positive for COVID-19, football’s world governing body said in a statement on Tuesday, October 27.
Infantino, 50, reported mild symptoms and is in self-isolation and will quarantine for at least 10 days, FIFA added.
A statement read: “FIFA President Gianni Infantino has received confirmation today that he has tested positive for coronavirus. The FIFA President, who has reported mild symptoms, has immediately placed himself in self-isolation and will remain in quarantine at least for 10 days.
“All people who came into contact with the FIFA President during the last few days have been informed accordingly and they are being requested to take the necessary steps.
“FIFA sincerely wishes President Infantino a speedy recovery.”
Prince Harry has revealed that his upbringing as a royal made him unaware of unconscious racial bias, but that all of that has changed since he started living in the shoes of his mixed race wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.
In an interview with GQ magazine released Tuesday, October 27, Harry spoke to Patrick Hutchinson, who shot to fame after being pictured carrying an injured White man to safety during a Black Lives Matter protest in June.
The Duke of Sussex told Hutchinson that you can’t criticize people for showing their unconscious bias, but once you realize it exists you have to educate yourself because ignorance is no longer an excuse.
“Unconscious bias, from my understanding, having the upbringing and the education that I had, I had no idea what it was. I had no idea it existed,” said Harry.

“And I think one of the most dangerous things is people within positions of power, whether it’s politics or whether it’s the media, where if you’re not aware of your own bias and you’re not aware of the culture within your system, then how are we ever going to progress?” he said.
Harry, who was speaking from his home in California, said it’s been a “very interesting” time to live in the US, but underlined that change needs to happen everywhere. “It’s going to take every single one of us to really change things and anyone that’s pushing against it really needs to take a long, hard look at themselves in the mirror,” he said.
“This is a global movement. The train has left the station. If you’re not on it now, then get on it because there’s so much that we can do. And being a dad myself, the whole point in life, I guess, for me, is to try to leave the world in a better place than when you found it.”
Earlier this month, Harry said he only recently recognized the full extent of racism in everyday life, telling the UK’s Evening Standard newspaper: “I’ve had an awakening as such of my own, because I wasn’t aware of so many of the issues and so many of the problems within the UK, but also globally as well. Hutchinson spoke of his frustration at the lack of understanding by some people about Black Lives Matter and the fight against racism.
“There are a lot of people who either don’t think that it exists or they don’t want change and they’re fighting against it,” Hutchinson said. “And I don’t know what these people are scared of, or afraid of.”
A Brazilian prisoner nicknamed ‘Lucifer’ has been accused of murdering 48 other inmates during his 25 years behind bars.
Marcos Paulo da Silva, a thief-turned-serial killer was first jailed for petty theft at the age of 18 in 1995, before he became a vicious killer. He is known to cut off the heads of his fellow inmates before disembowelling their dead bodies.
In one case, he is said to have murdered five inmates in one go in Serra Azul Jail in Sao Paulo in 2011 in one of his bloodiest attacks to date.
He faces spending the rest of his life after racking up multiple convictions and sentences totalling 217 years. Although he has yet to be tried for many of his alleged crimes, according to local reports.
Da Silva is said to have told a judge recently: “I have no regrets about killing all these people.
“They were rapists and thieves who took advantage of other inmates and robbed them.”
Da Silva has been described as the leader of a gang of assassins created with the mission of murdering members of the PCC, one of Brazil’s leading gangs formed by inmates as a self-protection group in the prison system.
Prison guards told online firm UOL that it was only a “question of time” before the notorious prisoner kills again once he is transferred to a new prison.
The report said Da Silva used a fire extinguisher to knock his Serra Azul Prison victims unconscious before beheading them with a home-made knife in his most infamous jail massacre to date.
He is said to have yelled: “I love this, there’s so few, I want to kill more prisoners” as he snubbed out their lives.
Psychologists say he is not mentally ill but does suffer from a personality disorder that needs to be urgently treated.
A US Federal judge on Tuesday denied the Justice Department’s bid to end a defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump brought by a longtime magazine columnist who alleged he raped her in a luxury department store dressing room over two decades ago.
The DOJ moved to put itself as defendant in the lawsuit filed by E. Jean Carroll (pictured top right), instead of Donald J. Trump, a move that if it became successful, would have halted the case, as the US federal government can’t be sued for defamation.
Carroll, made her allegations in a book saying Trump sexually assaulted her either in 1995 or 1996 but he has denied Carroll’s allegations, telling reporters, “She’s not my type,” and alleging Carroll lied to boost her book sales.
In a 61-page opinion released on Tuesday, October 27, US District Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled that Trump “is not an ’employee of the Government,’ as Congress defined that term,” and therefore the lawsuit isn’t, as the Justice Department argued, against the United States.
By the judge’s conclusion, Trump can be sued personally for defamation in the matter. Kaplan also rejected the Justice Department’s argument that Trump’s statements regarding Carroll were made within the scope of his employment as a government worker. Kaplan wrote; “while commenting on the operation of government is part of the regular business of the United States, commenting on sexual assault allegations unrelated to the operation of government is not.”
The Justice Department hasn’t yet revealed whether it will appeal the ruling.
Carroll’s lawyer, Roberta Kaplan, in reaction to the Judge’s ruling, said on Tuesday: “The simple truth is that President Trump defamed our client because she was brave enough to reveal that he had sexually assaulted her, and that brutal, personal attack cannot be attributed to the Office of the President.”
Carroll had originally filed her case in New York state court, and after Trump challenged it, a trial court judge ruled in August that the lawsuit could proceed.
This allowed Carroll’s attorneys to move forward in their efforts to obtain a DNA sample from Trump and take his deposition under oath.
The majority leader in the Lagos State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Sanai (SOB) Agunbiade has said that he was planning to distribute the palliatives looted from his home in Ikorodu on Friday, October 23.
A mob stormed his apartment and looted food items and other properties they could lay their hands on.
In a statement released on social media, Agunbiade who represents Ikorodu Constituency 1, said he got intelligence of the planned attack, but thought it was a rumour. He said he received the palliatives as well as many other items from well-meaning Nigerians and had planned to distribute them to members of his constituency today October 25.

Senator Teslim Folarin, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has listed the things he lost after angry youths invaded his home to loot.
The lawmaker revealed in a statement on Saturday, October 24, that over 1,100 empowerment items such as motorcycles, deep freezers, generators, and grinding machines, among others were looted.
The youths attacked his house at the Oluyole Estate extension in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Senator Folarin described the looters as “coordinated hoodlums”, adding that the invasion was evil, barbaric and unfortunate.
He insisted that the invaders and looters were not the same youths protesting against police brutality and calling on the government to End SARS.
He described the incident as pure daylight robbery, adding that the attackers broke down doors to rooms in the house to steal valuable assets.
“The actions of the hoodlums are condemnable, and it is very disheartening that some bad elements in our society are hiding under the guise of #ENDSARS protests to loot and disrupt peaceful atmosphere in Nigeria,” he said.
“I thank God we did not record any fatality, despite the violent invasion of my Oluyole house, looting of materials and vandalisation therein.
“For the sake of clarification, I have just formally taken receipt of the empowerment materials from a federal agency coordinating constituency projects for federal lawmakers.
“Also, I used my personal money to procure additional materials. I took stock of the materials ahead of a mega empowerment programme scheduled to hold in November 2020.
“Looted materials included over 350 motorcycles, 400 deep freezers, 350 generators, grinding machines, sewing machines, hairdressing and barbing salon materials, vulcanising machines and many more.”
Amarjeet Sada became known as the world’s youngest serial killer after he killed for the first time at age 7 and continued killing afterwards.
He had allegedly killed three people by the age of eight, two of whom were related to him.
The young boy from the Begusaray district in Bihar, India was born in 1998.
The family, who were extremely poor, eventually moved to Mushahari village where his father worked as a labourer.
In 2006 Amarjeet allegedly murdered his six-year-old cousin, his uncle’s daughter.
Shortly after, he is believed to have murdered another infant – his own eight-month-old sister.
Some of Amarjeet’s family members and other members of the village were reportedly aware of his crimes, according to his uncle.
However, they were considered “family matters”, and therefore were not reported to authorities.
But in 2007, Amarjeet allegedly killed a neighbour’s six-month-old daughter, called Kushboo.
The baby’s mother had left her at a primary school to sleep while she did some chores – but when she returned Kushboo was gone.
The villagers, who reportedly knew about Amarjeet’s past crimes, confronted him about the baby’s disappearance.
He confessed to the police and showed no remorse while he recounted the gory details of how he had murdered and buried Kushboo.
After his arrest, police said the boy had confessed to the murder of his sister three months earlier, and his cousin a year earlier.
Superintendent Amit Lodha said the boy appeared to be a “psychiatric case” and would be evaluated by professionals.
Meanwhile, inspector Shatrudhan Kumar had said all the killings had been carried out in an identical manner.
He explained: “He said he took the children to the fields and hit them with a stone and killed them. He has been charged with murder.”
The police said that while the boy was being questioned, he just smiled and asked for biscuits.
The child was evaluated by professionals, and found to be suffering from “conduct disorder”.
Conduct disorder is an ongoing pattern of emotional and behavioural problems where children can be angry, aggressive or even violent.
A psychologist working on the case explained: “Such aggression may be hereditary and may be caused because of great chemical upheavals in the brain.”
The boy was placed in a remand home in the nearby town of Munger.
Under Indian law, a child can’t be sentenced to death or sent to prison, but can be detained at a children’s home until they turn 18, according to The Guardian.
A man who together with his wife, achieved the Guinness World Record for the world’s oldest married couple has died at the age of 110.
Julio Cesar Mora Tapia died at his home in the Ecuadorian capital of Quito, at around 11pm on October 22, leaving behind his 104-year-old wife who he married in 1941.
Julio and his widow, 104-year-old Waldramina ‘Waldrita’ Maclovia Quinteros Reyes, achieved the Guinness World Record for the world’s oldest married couple in August 2020.
Julio and Waldramina were born in 1910 and 1915, respectively. The pair had been together for 79 years.
According to local media, Julio Cesar died from “unspecified dementia.”
The couple had five children, each of whom went on to get college degrees.
The eldest of their children has passed away. The couple also shared 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Julio Cesar and Wadramina told Guinness World Records in an interview earlier this year that they enjoyed going to the cinema together, gardening and big family dinners.
They had been looking forward to reuniting with their extended family once Covid-19 restrictions were lifted.
The pair were teachers and met when they were in their 20s through family connections, as Waldrita’s sister’s husband was Julio Cesar’s cousin.
They got married on February 7, 1941, seven years after they first met and wed in secret, as some family members were against their relationship.
“It was not easy because our relatives did not have a good relationship, but with time and patience, we were able to unite them, and we became an example and the best reference for the younger generations,” the couple told Guinness World Records.
Waldrita revealed in the interview that she was drawn to Julio Cesar by his poetry, while Julio was captivated by Waldrita’s beauty and character.
According to the couple, the success to their long marriage was “love, maturity, and mutual respect.”
The world’s previous oldest living married couple were Masao Matsumoto and Miyako Sonoda from Japan, who tied the knot in October 1937 and were married for 80 years

The looters were arrested at different locations while running away with their loots on their heads.

Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Babatunde Osuolale Aremu Akiolu’s staff of office which was one of the items looted from his vandalized palace has mysteriously reappeared.
The staff of office was seen in a scattered room, hours after some traditionalists in the state initiated the process of placing a curse on those behind the looting.
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has threatened that members of his group would henceforth publicly disgrace and humiliate corrupt Nigerian political office holders sighted in any foreign country.
Kanu stated this during a live Facebook session.
“Any day any corrupt Nigerian political office holder is sighted in any foreign country, such a person would be publicly disgraced and humiliated.” he said
Kanu who expressed sadness over the gunfire incident at the Lekki tollgate on Tuesday, October 20, added
“From today, October 25, 2020, if we get you abroad, we will disgrace you. Stay at home until you meet the 23 demands of the youths,”
Paul Pogba has dismissed reports from the Middle East suggesting that he has quit the France national team after French President Emmanuel Macron’s comments on ‘Islamist terrorism’
The report by Arabic sports website 195sports.com said the Manchester United midfielder, 27, made the decision after President Macron said on Friday, October 23, that ‘monstrosity of Islamist terrorism’ must be dealt with strongly.
The president was speaking in the wake of the beheading of teacher Samuel Paty, 47, who was attacked on his way home from the junior high school where he taught in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, 40km northwest of Paris.
Macron described the murder as an ‘Islamic terrorist attack’ that took the life of the French teacher.
He said: “Unity and firmness are the only answers to the monstrosity of Islamist terrorism.”
The teacher was posthumously awarded the French Legion d’honneur, France’s highest honour, in recognition of the fact that he died for trying to explain the importance of freedom of speech.
Reacting to the report that he’s quit the France national team over Macron’s comments, Pogba dismissed the claims on Instagram, saying the reports are “Unacceptable. Fake news.”

France on Sunday urged Arab countries to stop calls for boycott of French products.
“These calls for boycotts and attacks on our country pushed by a radical minority are baseless and must be stopped immediately,” French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Agnes von der Muhll said in a statement.
Earlier, several Arab trade groups announced their boycott of French products in response to statements against Islam and over republication of caricatures insulting Prophet Muhammad.
In recent weeks, French President Emmanuel Macron attacked Islam and the Muslim community, accusing Muslims of “separatism”. He described Islam as a “a religion in crisis all over the world”.

Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) in charge of security in Plateau State have arrested 30 hoodlums suspected to have taken part in the attack and looting of former Speaker House of Representative, Hon Yakuba Dogara’s house on Sunday.
The suspects, 13 males and 17 females were paraded before newsmen at the OPSH headquarters in Jos by the Commander, Major General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo.
The hoodlums in their large numbers broke into Dogara’s house located at Lamingo near Jos Teaching Hospital about 10 am on Sunday, October 25, attacked his brother before ransacking the entire premises.
A source close to the house said that some people living within the vicinity of the house were also molested while valuables were carted away.
Items recovered include 5 grinding machines, 3 grinding machine heads, 2 unassembled Keke NAPEP, 1 Keke NAPEP engine, and one bundle of clothing material.
Linda Ikeji has promised to offer help to female entrepreneurs whose businesses were looted during the crisis that followed the End SARS protests in Lagos state.
The Linda Ikeji Media CEO called on small business owners affected by the lootings to send a mail with photos and videos of their looted stores and an estimate of the value of what was lost.
She promised to help some small business owners to rebuild.

Senator Teslim Folarin, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has listed the things he lost after angry youths invaded his home to loot.
The lawmaker revealed in a statement on Saturday, October 24, that over 1,100 empowerment items such as motorcycles, deep freezers, generators, and grinding machines, among others were looted.
The youths attacked his house at the Oluyole Estate extension in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Senator Folarin described the looters as “coordinated hoodlums”, adding that the invasion was evil, barbaric and unfortunate.
He insisted that the invaders and looters were not the same youths protesting against police brutality and calling on the government to End SARS.
He described the incident as pure daylight robbery, adding that the attackers broke down doors to rooms in the house to steal valuable assets.
“The actions of the hoodlums are condemnable, and it is very disheartening that some bad elements in our society are hiding under the guise of #ENDSARS protests to loot and disrupt peaceful atmosphere in Nigeria,” he said.
“I thank God we did not record any fatality, despite the violent invasion of my Oluyole house, looting of materials and vandalisation therein.
“For the sake of clarification, I have just formally taken receipt of the empowerment materials from a federal agency coordinating constituency projects for federal lawmakers.
“Also, I used my personal money to procure additional materials. I took stock of the materials ahead of a mega empowerment programme scheduled to hold in November 2020.
“Looted materials included over 350 motorcycles, 400 deep freezers, 350 generators, grinding machines, sewing machines, hairdressing and barbing salon materials, vulcanising machines and many more.”
Pope Francis has prayed for peace to be restored in Nigeria following the killings of peaceful #EndSARS protesters at Lekki tollgate.
After reciting the Angelus from a window overlooking St. Peter’s Square on Sunday, October 25, the pontiff said he prayed that peace would be restored “through the promotion of justice and the common good.”
He said: “I follow with particular concern the news coming from Nigeria about the recent violent clashes between law enforcement agencies and some young protesters.”
“We pray to the Lord that all forms of violence will always be avoided, in the constant search for social harmony through the promotion of justice and the common good.”
The Pope also took to Twitter to call for prayers for Nigeria against every form of violence in the aftermath of the #ENDSARS protests.

The Akinshemoyin ruling house of Lagos Island has send warning message to suspected hoodlums that attacked the palace of Oba of Lagos, Oba Ridwan Akiolu, while calling on them to return the staff of office of the Monarch or face the consequences.
The ruling house condemned, in strong terms, the looting of the traditional and ancestral heritage of Lagos State and the carting away of the staff of office of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Ridwan Akiolu by hoodlums who invaded the palace on Wednesday.
While describing as shocking and bitter the use of brute force on peace protesters by soldiers at the Lekki Toll gate on Tuesday, the ruling house, in a statement jointly signed by Prince Salami-Abisako and Prince Adeyemi Sarumi said it will not fold its arms and allow miscreants to destroy Lagos State.
The statement reads: “Though we are in total support of the peaceful protest of the Nigerian youths tagged: #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality, we, Lagosians condemn with all sense of responsibility the gruesome murder of Nigerians, the hijack of the peaceful protest by hoodlums, destruction of public infrastructural facilities and property across the nation.
“We also condemn the looting of our traditional and ancestral heritage as it relates to the Oba of Lagos Palace; especially the carting away of the staff of office. We will not allow miscreants to destroy our Lagos ‘Onilu Onije Otu’.
“The acts of these elements are sacrilegious, taboo and abomination to the Yoruba race. These nefarious misfits’ conducts could lead to mayhem in the land if not timely checked and tranquility restored.
“We hereby call on the paramount Apena of Oshugbo, Opa, Akala and other traditional heads and custodians to immediately secure the Oba’s palace from further attack(s) in order to save the face of our traditional stool.
“The royal house, however called for the return of the stolen staff of authority to be deposited at the Apena of Lagos within 24 hours or the deviants will face the consequences of their action. A word is enough for the wise.”
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Muhammed Adamu, NPM, on Saturday October 24, ordered the immediate mobilization of all police operational assets and resources to bring an end to the wanton violence, killings, looting and destruction of public and private property, and reclaim the public space from criminal elements masquerading as protesters in some parts of the country.
The IGP gave the order to all Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs), Commissioners of Police (CPs), Heads of Police Operational Units, Squadron and Base Commanders in charge of Zonal/State/FCT Commands, the Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorism Unit and the Special Protection Unit, today.
In addition, CPs/Heads of Police Formations in the various states have also been charged to mobilize their men and work in sync with the Command CPs in the areas where they are domiciled, to dominate the public space and ensure peace and safety in the affected areas.
The IGP, while noting that enough is enough to all acts of lawlessness, disruption of public peace and order and wanton violence which have resulted to indiscriminate looting of shops, malls and ware houses, damage to property and loss of lives in some parts of the country, further directs the Police strategic managers to personally lead and coordinate the operation and use all legitimate means, to halt further slide into lawlessness and brigandage.
The IGP enjoins law-abiding citizens not to panic but rather join forces with the police and other members of the law enforcement community to protect their communities from the criminal elements.
He further calls for the understanding and cooperation of the citizens assuring that the action is geared towards ensuring public order and safety and public security in our communities.
The IGP however warns trouble-makers not to test the collective will of the nation by coming out to cause any further breakdown of law and order.
President Alpha Conde has secured a third term in office by winning Guinea’s controversial presidential election with 59.5 percent of the vote.
The electoral authority president Kabinet Cisse said Conde’s main opponent Cellou Dalein Diallo polled 33.5 percent of the vote.
The announcement on Saturday October 24, came after days of deadly violence in the wake of the October 18 vote. While the opposition said 27 people have been killed, officials have put the death toll at about 10.
Doubting the independence of the electoral authority, Diallo had on Monday October 19 declared himself victorious before the results were announced. This triggered confrontations between his supporters and security forces.
In an interview with DW’s French for Africa Service, Alpha Souleymane Ba Fisher a lawmaker from the ruling RPG party, accused opposition candidate Cellou Dalein Diallo of stoking unnecessary political tension.
Fisher said;
“He invited his activists to take to the streets and attack people so that the country would fall into chaos.”
In 2010, Conde became Guinea’s first democratically elected leader after decades of military rule. He was re-elected in 2015. Before becoming President, Conde had been a long-standing opposition figure who was jailed and exiled for his views against Guinea’s military government.
Diallo on the other hand, is a former prime minister who also finished runner-up to Conde in the 2010 and 2015 elections.
Nigerian filmmaker, Ideh Chukwuma ‘One Soul’ who claims to be one of those that rushed some victims of the Lekki toll gate shooting to the hospital has stated that he never saw any dead body at the scene.
The filmmaker in an interview with Premium Times further stated that he has also not seen a family member that has come to cry and say one two or three persons have died. He added that if DJ Switch had seen that, she’s in the best position to say that because she was there.

What I will say is, I have been hearing people say “Lekki massacre, Lekki massacre.” I have to be honest with you if you Google the term “massacre,” massacre is a situation where a group of people were being killed by rebels or the military and going by that particular point, I would have been able to tell you that I saw a lot of dead bodies, this is how they killed them, there were a lot of dead bodies and so it was a massacre. But from the time I came, I didn’t see any dead bodies but I can certainly tell you that there was a shooting, an unauthorised shooting. I will call it a raid, I will call it assault. I am going to term it assault and raid. That is what I would use. It was an assault and I and I may be wrong but because I didn’t see those bodies, and I have not seen a family member that has come to cry and say one two or three persons have died.
If DJ Switch had seen that, she’s in the best position to say that because she was there. I cannot say she’s wrong. I was out of that circle. I was a few meters away. They were at the toll gate and I was a few meters away from them. I wasn’t there, I was at Lekki Phase 1. I can’t tell you what the military’s approach on their arrival was. So, I wouldn’t be able to tell you that they shot one, two, three, four, or five people. But I can certainly tell you that I took a lot of gunshot victims to the hospital.
If I took about 13 people to the hospital myself, minus the ones that the governor confirmed that were injured, he said about thirty, that is forty-something, DJ Switch might not be wrong. I took 13 to the hospital. So, if DJ Switch said she saw 15 dead people, by her own records, because she was there so she can speak on that part. I can’t speak on that and none of the thirteen people that I took to the hospital has died. They are still alive and some of them have been discharged.
He also recounted how the soldiers tried stopping him from helping victims of the shooting. One Soul added;
For the record, I was not at the protest ground with the crowd protesting when the military came around so I cannot tell you what guns they were shooting. But I knew I heard gunshots and people were running. So, what could have happened when I was not there, while I was in my car, I don’t know. It was when I came back I realised everyone was running helter-skelter and I saw people falling down. I saw blood, people being shot and it was all looking bad so I decided to keep going (driving) and I could see clearly this time that the army had surrounded the protesters. They were gathered together into a circle and the army surrounded them with their guns and they were still singing the national pledge while they were surrounded. They saw my car coming and I was waving the flag and one of the military guys was shouting “ Go back, go back” and I wouldn’t go back and I was like I want to check up on my friends and they shouted that I should “ Go back now!” and then I saw a lady that was shot on the leg and another guy who was shot in the hand.
Yes, and they saw me carry wounded people in my car. I saw another guy who was shot in the hand but the bullet did not go into his arm but bruised him so I carried the three of them and drove to Ajah. They rejected them. I got to the government hospital and they said it was only for mother and child. Then Doren Hospital, Ajah, accepted them and I was happy. I told the Director that I was coming back and I then I drove back to tollgate and they were still shooting and I came down from the car raising my hand up and the guy kept shooting and I told them I wanted to help people that were wounded and he said No I should go back and I said, ‘‘Sir, I cannot go back I have to check the wounded people, and he refused then I took off my clothes and I said “ Sir, you have to shoot me” then he cocked a gun and aimed it at me and I was like I will not leave if you don’t allow me to rescue these people. While he aimed his gun at me, his colleague brushed me and hissed then I walked in there and rescued four other people and rushed them to the hospital.
When I was coming back the third time, I came with an ambulance to rescue more people. While I was there, one of the guys told me that the military was keeping the wounded or dead people in their trucks. So what I was told was that the military took some people and that they thought they were taking them to the military hospital. I don’t know if it is possible that it is true or I don’t know. When I came back again, I told the man (soldier) that I wanted to carry more people in the ambulance and I helped more people in the ambulance and they were taken to the hospital.
The Nigerian Correctional Service says it will be releasing the names and photographs of over 1,500 inmates who escaped from the custodial facilities in Benin and Oko, Edo State, and in Okitipupa, Ondo State, on Monday Octoober 26, and Thursday October 29, respectively.
Following the crisis that has rocked the nation after hoodlums hijacked the End SARS protests, several prisons were attacked and the prisoners were let out of the facilities.
Giving an update on efforts to recapture the prisoners, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Correctional Service, Austin Njoku, said the service was equally mobilising various security and intelligence resources to recapture the fleeing inmates. While 1,993 inmates broke out of the two custodial centres in Edo State, 58 reportedly escaped from the Ondo correctional facility.
Speaking to newsmen, Njoku said
“We are mobilising the people and the press for information because to inject the number of such people into society is a problem. Imagine over 1,000 criminals injected into society? We are mobilising the intelligence agencies, the police and the DSS (Department of State Services). We are publishing their names and pictures very soon.”
Meanwhile, 25 inmates who escaped from Oko and Sapele Road Correctional Centre when hoodlums broke into the facilities have voluntarily returned to the centres and surrendered themselves to the authorities.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has announced his shock retirement from UFC after defeating Justin Gaethje to retain his UFC lightweight title.
The Russian undefeated champion extended his unbeaten record to 29-0 with a second-round win against his American rival on Saturday night October 24, at UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi. It was his third successful title defense, having previously beaten Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
After the fight he announced his retirement live to the cameras, saying he can’t continue to fight without his late father Abdulmanap by his side, following his death in July after health complications caused by coronavirus.
It was the Russian’s first fight without his father who was also his coach.
In an emotional post-fight interview, Nurmagomedov said: ‘Today, I want to say, this was my last fight. No way am I going to come here without my father. It was first time, after what happened with my father, when UFC called me about Justin.
‘I talk with my mother three days, she don’t want that I go fight without father. I promised her, it’s going to be my last fight, and if I give my word, I have to follow this. It was my last fight here.

A policeman and six members of the Boko Haram terrorist group have reportedly been killed in a gunfight in Yobe state.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Dungus Abdulkarim told Channels Television that they are still gathering more information to give a definite number of casualties.
It was however gathered that the gunfight ensued after an evening attack by the insurgents on Babban Gida community, the headquarters of Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
