Sunday Igboho says his security outfit is ready to tackle terrorists in the South-West

Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, says he is awaiting approval from the Federal Government to begin operations against terrorists and criminal elements in the South-West.

Igboho disclosed that his security outfit, Iru Ekun Security Network, is fully prepared to launch operations aimed at flushing out terrorists, kidnappers, bandits, and other criminals hiding in forests across the region.

In a statement issued on Monday, May 25, he said all necessary documents and procedural requirements for the registration and approval of the outfit had already been submitted to the Federal Government.

He also stated that the organisation would fully comply with the Executive Order recently introduced by the Oyo State Government to regulate private security organisations operating within the state.

“We have submitted all the required documents for our registered security firm, Iru Ekun Security Network, and are only waiting for Federal Government approval, which will be granted soon,” Igboho said.

He added that the outfit is ready to collaborate with security agencies, including the police, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), to improve security in the South-West, particularly in rural communities.

“We are absolutely ready to collaborate with the police, DSS, Nigeria Army, NSCDC, and other relevant stakeholders in the security sector to flush out terrorists, kidnappers, bandits, and other hoodlums threatening the peace and safety of our people,” he stated.
