The victory, though undeserved for an under par Manchester United, was priceless for the club who had already lost their first leg to Young Boys in Switzerland.

After Villlareal scored their opener in the second half, United equalized following a free kick from Fernandes straight to Alex Telles who ricochet the ball into the bottom corner.

Chike and Dora Akunyili’s son narrates how his dad was murdered

Mr. Obumneme, son of the murdered Dr. Chike Akunyili has narrated how his father was killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen on Tuesday night in Anambra.

Tori Media had earlier reported that unknown gunmen reportedly killed Dr Chike Akunyili at Umuoji in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State on Tuesday evening.

The medical was killed while returning from a commemorative lecture in honour of his late wife, former Minister of Information, Prof. Dora Akunyili

Speaking with the BBC Igbo, Obumneme said that his father was shot in the face by gunmen who opened fire on his vehicle at Nkpor, Anambra State.

“His driver and a Police officer assigned to him also died in the shooting. A cousin survived and is being treated in hospital,” Obumneme added.

They were driving back from the town of Nsukka in Enugu state after attending a lecture hosted by the University of Nigeria to pay tribute to the late NAFDAC DG, Dora.

Femi Fani-Kayode once beat up his wife and mother-in-law – Dismissed Nanny claims

Ms Anthonia Uchenna, a former nanny at the house of former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, said the politician once beat up his mother-in-law after she queried him for beating and stripping his wife naked.

She said whenever Fani-Kayode is furious, he beats up domestic workers, including her (Uchenna), strips them naked and sends them out of his house.

Uchenna, who worked two years at Fani-Kayode’s house, said she left due to the torture, threats and maltreatment.

She said, “My name is Anthonia Uchenna, a former nanny at Femi Fani-Kayode‘s house. I started working with him in 2017 through 2019. I experienced many things at FFK’s house, the way he handles his staff. Let me use myself as an example. Mine started the day the man paid salary in 2019 August, he paid me my salary and later sent someone to call me down to the kitchen.

“I came to the kitchen and then he asked me why the kitchen is in disarray, I told him he had not employed me as a kitchen worker or chef but as a nanny. I told him I had no job in the kitchen. He then asked me to return the money I signed as my salary, I gave it to him.

“He seized it and I said this is not the first, second or third time, why does he do this every time? He said if I talk, he will throw me to the dog, they’ll beat me up and everything so I got angry, went back upstairs to pack my bags that I don’t want to work again but I want to leave.

“He called bodyguards: Bako, Moses and others, that they shouldn’t allow me to go outside the gate. When those ones said I shouldn’t go outside the gate, I explained to them that I work and at the end of the month, after having signed salary, he will collect it back.

“While I was discussing with the bodyguards, he told those ones to hold me down and not allow me to leave, he (FFK) came downstairs, tore my clothes, stripped me naked and pushed me outside the gate, I was there for 24 hours naked.

“He later sent a policeman to come and pick me. There’s one guy, a gateman that gave me a ‘polo’ (T-shirt), I don’t know if he’s still working there.

“The DPO (Divisional Police Officer) said they don’t want to see FFK’s staff anymore so the policeman took me back there to FFK’s house, I was there for another 24 hours, asking them to give me my bag, he refused.

“Every morning, Madam (his ex-wife) commanded that we should be taking his son to FFK’s room every morning to greet his father. When you get there, Fani-Kayode will press your buttocks, breasts and I told him I don’t want that. Even the small boy will say ‘Daddy don’t do that to my Aunty’ then he will push me away and say I am disgusting and everything. That if I tell Madam anything, he will connive with her to do me evil.

”What surprised me was, one day, FFK beat madam and stripped her naked, Madam’s mother was like, in-law what is it? He beat the woman too.”

Radio Biafra’s location, a network of internet-based amateur radio stations broadcasting the agenda of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has been discovered in London, United Kingdom.

According to Cable News Network, CNN, the unlikely location of Radio Biafra is in Peckham, southeast London, United Kingdom.

“Tucked away down a quiet, leafy street in Peckham, southeast London, is the registered address of a movement seeking to break Nigeria apart.

“This suburban spot is the unlikely location for Radio Biafra, a network of internet-based amateur radio stations broadcasting a separatist agenda back to listeners in Nigeria,” CNN reports.

The Supreme Leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu established Radio Biafra in 2009 to disseminate, enlighten, educate, inform and criticise the activities of the Nigerian government.

CNN reported that one Darlington Imoh, who answered the door when the broadcast station visited in August said Kanu’s supporters used the Peckham house for Radio Biafra broadcast CHECK THIS ALSO:

Imoh, who describes himself as the “officer of output for the Biafran campaign,” stated that all IPOB is calling for is the right to self-determination.

However, the International Crisis Group, an organization working to prevent war, described Radio Biafra in 2015 as “an unlicensed station urging violent struggle to achieve independence for Biafra” with broadcasts that are “highly provocative messages laced with misinformation, hate speech, and anti-Nigeria derision.”

Sex worker steals customer’s BMW after he cancelled their appointment

A sex-worker has been arraigned for stealing a client’s BMW after being told he had changed his mind when she turned up at his home to provide her services. 

The arrangement reportedly went sour when she arrived and found man who had been sleeping, woke up and thought better of going through with the agreed sex acts.

The man told Whyte he had no money to pay her, other than £15 to cover her taxi costs. However after the encounter, it was learnt that her partner David Donald, 40, stormed into the property and threatened him. 

Fiscal depute Gavin Burton told Dundee Sheriff Court; 

“At the time she was offering sexual services as an escort on a website.

“She was in a relationship with her co-accused.

“On March 22, 2020 the complainer returned home and parked his car. The keys were on the worktop.

“He had been drinking two bottles of wine. At 1.30 am he decided to contact an escort he had previously used.

“He found the profile of Whyte which included the phrase ‘sexy, friendly and best girlfriend experience ever.’

“He was woken by the sound of the buzzer a short time later and opened the door to let Whyte in. 

“He informed her he did not have any money, had changed his mind and did not want anything. She told him she had paid for a taxi.

“He gave her £15 for a taxi and she started to walk towards the door as she seemed OK with that. She walked into the common close and he did not lock the door.

“He was in the kitchen a few seconds when Donald appeared wearing a hoodie and with a Burberry scarf covering his mouth and nose.

“He had his right hand behind his back. He asked the complainer for money. The complainer told him he had no money in his wallet.”

Donald was said to have told the victim; 

“You must have money – you’ve got a BMW” and he pointed at the car keys.

The victim was then told to transfer money into a bank account, the court heard. When the victim was transferring £50, he said he needed a name to complete the transaction and the accused told him he was David Donald.

Donald and Whyte left after being satisfied the money had been transferred successfully, and the victim did not contact police because he was too embarrassed. However after he found that his car keys and car had been stolen from the front of the property, he contacted the police after phoning Whyte’s number and getting no response. 

The car was traced a short distance away and Whyte’s DNA was recovered from the steering wheel and handbrake.

While Whyte admitted stealing the car from Kenmore Gardens on March 23 last year, Donald admitted extorting money from the man by demanding cash and robbing him of £50.

Sheriff Paul Brown deferred sentence on both accused for the preparation of background reports.

US Rap Star, Rick Ross to pay ex-girlfriend, Miss Singleton $11,000 monthly in child support

US rapper, Rick Ross has agreed to pay his ex-girlfriend Briana Singleton $11,000 per month in child support. 

According to TMZ, the rapper is also on board for additional annual payments of up to $3,000 per child for extracurricular expenses if the figure goes past $7,560. A judge in Rick Ross’ paternity case, has reportedly signed off on his agreement to send monthly child support payments for their three kids. 

Rick Ross’ monthly income is said to sit at $585,000, while Singleton brings in $142. He also agreed to cut a check to Brianna’s attorney for $25,000. 

This is coming after, Briana Singleton filed legal documents in Fayette County, Georgia in May 2020, requesting a hearing for Rick Ross to take a COVID-19 test if he wanted to visit his kids. She claimed Ross hadn’t seen his children for six months; after he did reach out, she was concerned about his marijuana use and not quarantining during the pandemic.

She admitted that though Ross was not cooperative with DNA testing, he made efforts to care for them such as buying her a Mercedes SUV and depositing money into her bank account for their children. At the time, she was pregnant with their third child, who was expected to be born in September 2020.

Russia records its highest Covid deaths, about 852 fatalities in ONE day!

Russians have reported its highest one-day Covid death toll amid a spike in cases of the virus in their country.  

The country saw 852 Covid deaths on Tuesday, the government said, which comes after more than two months of reporting around 770 deaths per day. 

Russia’s Covid cases, which had been in decline since mid-July according to official statistics, have also been rising sharply in the last two weeks and on Tuesday hit 21,559, up from to 18,796 a week before.

The rise in both cases and deaths come a week after elections were held – which Putin’s party won amid claims of ‘unprecedented’ fraud. 

Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman, has denied plans to reintroduce lockdowns to combat cases – saying only that the situation is being watched ‘closely’.

North Korea launches a new ‘hypersonic missile’, yesterday, Asia on high alert

Asia is currently on high alert after North Korea claimed that it successfully tested a new hypersonic missile called Hwasong-8 on Tuesday, September 28.

The country’s state media said the new missile is one of the “five most important” new weapons systems laid out in its five-year military development plan.

They called the missile a “strategic weapon”, and in military terms a strategic weapon usually has nuclear capabilities.

North Korea announces it has fired new

Tuesday’s launch also saw North Korea introduce missile fuel ampoule for the first time – described by North Korea analyst Ankit Panda as a “significant milestone”.

The launch, if true is another indication of Pyongyang’s growing weapons technology amid strict sanctions by the United Nations.

“The development of this weapons system…[has increased] the nation’s capabilities for self-defence in every way,” North Korean state news outlet KCNA said.


The latest launch is the country’s third missile test this month. It has already revealed a new type of cruise missile, as a well as a new train-launched ballistic missile system.

Hypersonic missiles are much faster and more agile than normal ones, making them much harder for missile defence systems to intercept,


KCNA said the test launch confirmed the “navigational control and stability of the missile”.

North Korea has also reportedly introduced missile fuel ampoule – a technology that allows missiles that can be pre-fuelled and then sent to the field in canisters. This means it could potentially stay launch-ready for years.


North Korean leader Kim Jong-un had at an earlier meeting in January declared that scientists had “finished research” into developing hypersonic gliding warheads. Tuesday’s test was the first for this new system.

“The push to develop a hypersonic glider isn’t all too surprising given that Kim Jong Un had indicated this back in January,” said Mr Panda.

“This is, however, a reminder that Mr Kim’s missile ambitions are far from having run their course.”

Reacting, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said they believe this hypersonic missile is still at an early stage of development and it will take a considerable period of time before it can be deployed in combat.

The group – ranging in age from 18 to 52 were seen posing with AK-47 and M4 assault rifles strapped to their chests during the fun moment at the small amusement park next to Qarghah Reservoir on the outskirts of the Afghan capital, where families and children normally ride the Ferris Wheel and carousel.

Hilarious! ‘Missing drunk & lost man’ joins in the search group looking for himself

A missing drunk man was found among the search party that was out looking for him.

Beyhan Mutlu, 50, had been drinking with mates in the rural neighbourhood of Cayyaka, near the city of negöl in Turkey, before wandering off into the woods.

When he didn’t come back, his friends informed the police, who called in search and rescue teams from the wider Bursa region in an effort to help locate the missing man, LadBible reports.

Many local residents joined the search party in the hope of finding the 50-year-old.

Unknown to them, the man also joined them in searching for himself.

While searching, the group kept calling out Mutlu’s name repeatedly until, after a while, someone in the group replied: “Who are we looking for? I am here.”

That man ended up being Mutlu.

Police ended up escorting him home before writing up a report of the events that transpired.

Naira goes for 580/USD dollar

The Nigerian naira exchanged to the dollar at 580 on Friday, while the Pound Sterling traded for 780 at the parallel market.

Some Bureau de Change operators who spoke to our correspondent said that the naira to the dollar was bought and sold at 575 and 580, while the Pound Sterling was bought and sold at 775 and 780.

At the I&E forex window, the naira reached a high of 415.20 to close at 414.90.

The official website of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s licensed Bureau De Change operators, www.naijabdcs.com, used for the publication of exchange rates of the naira to other currencies stopped publication of rates.

This followed the suspension of foreign exchange publication by AbokiFX after the CBN vowed to clampdown on the website, the owner and its patrons.

Despite efforts by the regulatory authority to salvage the naira crisis, the naira lost a margin of not less than 40 to the dollar in two months.

During a webinar earlier in the year which was organised by the Association of Bureaux De Change Operators of Nigeria in partnership with the CBN and other financial regulatory bodies, the association had said that, “ABCON is working with its consultants to revamp the naijabdcs.com to MyBdc.com.”

It would be recalled that ABCON launched www.naijabdcs.com in 2018, to provide data of different rates, names, contacts and locations of the CBN licensed BDCs, as well as for other digital forex services.

Ever since, the website had furnished the public with rates in the parallel market, the way abokiFX had done.

But after the suspension of exchange rates publication on abokiFX, the BDCs’ website did not publish its daily rates.

The CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, had gone tough on abokiFX, after accusing the website and its owner of manipulating the currency to sabotage the economy.

Emefiele said, “Our preliminary findings show that his website is being used for foreign exchange manipulation and speculation.

“They get naira notes, use it to purchase dollars, take a position, change the rate over a given period, sell the dollars they purchase and make a profit. This is completely illegal, it is unacceptable and we will pursue them.”

US Government may run out of cash by October 18, 2021 – Janet Yellen warns

Janet Yellen, US Treasury Secretary, has warned lawmakers that the country’s government will likely run out of cash by October 18 as Senate Republicans blocked attempts to increase the borrowing limit.

 “At that point, we expect Treasury would be left with very limited resources that would be depleted quickly,” she said in a letter to congressional leaders. 

“It is uncertain whether we could continue to meet all the nation’s commitments after that date. “We know from previous debt limit impasses that waiting until the last minute can cause serious harm to business and consumer confidence, raise borrowing costs for taxpayers, and negatively impact the credit rating of the United States for years to come,” she wrote.


“Failure to act promptly could also result in substantial disruptions to financial markets, as heightened uncertainty can exacerbate volatility and erode investor confidence.”


She added that a default “would undermine confidence in the dollar as the reserve currency, and the interest payments of ordinary Americans on their mortgages and on their cars and on their credit cards would all go up in line with higher Treasury borrowing costs.”


Yellen cautioned that the October 18 deadline is only an estimate because the U.S government’s cash flows are “subject to unavoidable variability.” She also noted that the government’s daily gross cash flow, excluding financing, averaged nearly $50 billion per day over the past year and has even exceeded $300 billion.

Late on Monday September 27, a bill to raise the US borrowing limit failed to pass the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster threshold, with Republicans in the upper chamber of Congress voting to reject the measure. A subsequent attempt in the Senate to quickly approve a debt-ceiling suspension on Tuesday also failed.

Democrats, who control the Senate by the slimmest of margins, are now under pressure to raise the borrowing limit on their own and avert a government shutdown.

Stockpile of Arms imported from Pakistan to attack Igbos – IPOB alleges

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday, alleged that arms have been imported from Pakistan ahead of a planned invasion of the Southeast.

IPOB made the allegation while explaining that it has no plans to attack the people of the Southeast and Southsouth.

Emma Powerful, IPOB’s spokesman, insisted that violence is not part of the group’s philosophy.

Powerful was reacting to an article by one Shekau who likened IPOB to Boko Haram terrorists.

In a statement by its spokesman, Powerful said: “We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have read with amusement, a fallacious media remark by one inconsequential Shekau, a self-acclaimed supporter of President Muhamnadu Buhari where he displayed his ignorance and cluelessness about IPOB, our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and the goings-on in Biafra land.

“It is a pity that this ignoble fellow and attention seeker compared a non-violent movement like IPOB to Boko Haram terrorists created and groomed by the North to kill Jewish and Christian adherents, indigenous northerners and security agents.

“IPOB has seen numerous false propaganda in the past and we are not in any way moved by this latest vomit. We know the antics of our enemies who are never tired of sponsoring media lies to cover up their evil and rubbish our struggle for independence but we are not deterred.

“Contrary to the vomit by this inconsequential fellow, IPOB has no plans to attack South Easterners and South Southerners. In the first place, violence is not part of our philosophy. Assuming we want to resort to violence, how can we attack the people whom we are fighting for?

“It does not make any sense. But we know their motive for peddling this falsehood as our intelligent report confirms the importation and stockpiling of arms from Pakistan for their planned invasion of Biafraland but we are waiting for them.”

Dora Akunyili’s husband, Chike, killed by unknown gunmen (photos)

A video has surfaced showing Dr Chike Akunyili, husband of former NAFDAC boss, Late Professor Dora Akunyili, gasping for air shortly after he was attacked by unknown gunmen in Nkpor, Anambra state on Tuesday, September 28.

In the video obtained by Tori Me!, late Akunyili is seen lying on the floor with his bloodied eyes and opened skull. He was gasping for air as onlookers made videos of him battling between life and death. No one bothered to rush him to the hospital after the attack.

Tori Me! cannot share the video as it is very gory.

The state police command is yet to react to the sad incident.

A lady has narrated how she discovered to her utmost dismay that her man was impotent.

“I am married with no child. This is the third year of my marriage and the things I am seeing are beyond me. I have been a very easygoing person who has done nothing but be a supportive, industrious and helpful wife to her husband.

I met my husband during our NYSC, we were both serving at the same state and camp and we were opportuned to come across each other. We started off as friends but as time went on, we got really close and things progressed into marriage. We got married two years after we met and sincerely speaking, my husband has never given me a reason to doubt him or his whereabouts.

We got married in 2019 even though my parents and siblings were not fully in support of the marriage due to some matters raised. I was able to convince them after presenting before them a thousand and one reasons why he was the right man for me.

They finally gave their consent, we had the wedding in a gentle way and since then we’ve been trying for kids but all to no avail. We have been to so many hospitals but there has been no favourable response. They keep saying we are both fine and we should keep trying. I was becoming frustrated. 

There was a day I was with my friend and I was lost in thought, I was at work when she asked me what the problem was. I was able to confide in her. I told her what the problem was and how my husband and I have been declared healthy from the various medical results. Sue said she knew a doctor who handles situations like this very well. She gave me his contact and encouraged me to call and book an appointment with him.

I did. I called him and he asked me to come with my husband. We traveled to his hospital since it was in another location and after consultation, he sent my husband and I on a series of tests. They were also expensive and my husband felt I was being unnecessarily pushy and wasting money too since they were not going to find anything wrong with both of us.

I didn’t give up, I was ready to find a solution to our problems because many people were beginning to tag me barren and also speak behind our backs. The rest of the results came out the following week when we went back and that was when we found out that my husband was impotent. 

It was a devastating news. It was quite difficult for both of us to believe initially, we felt the results were wrong because he just wanted to show us he was different from other hospitals we have been to. As a result of our unbelief, he referred us to two more hospitals which he trusted and said we could redo the tests there and compare. We were no longer bothered about the funds, we did the tests again and the doctors said the same thing. As it is now, my husband is impotent. I don’t know what to do.

I am just 29 with a whole life ahead of me. How do I begin to handle this situation? He is in a worse state than I am. We asked the various doctors we met and said nothing can be done about it. One of the doctors said he can be placed on supplements which may help. Currently there is no assured solution to our problem. All we have been getting are mere suggestions, nothing substantial. I now longer concentrate at work. I go to work late and also perform badly. It is beginning to affect almost every situation of my life. 

My husband on the other hand has not been to work for over a week now although it is his private establishment and he has people working for him but his absence is still causing some problems in his place of work. I seriously don’t know what to do about this condition. All my life I have dreamt of being a mother.

Holding my child, looking into her eyes and building a bond between us. I dreamt of giving my children all the love and support they can get. My husband and I have already opened an account for our kids. A great percentage of our monthly income for the past three years, since after our wedding has been going into that account. How are we going to bear this news. I am broken, I am sad and there doesn’t seem to be a solution to this situation. What can I do? I am in severe pain.”

“I don suffer since my Childhood” – Annie Idibia

Our Nigerian actress, Annie Idibia, has revealed that she has been through hell from a very young age. The actress shared some of her experiences while growing up, stating that she had it rough.

The celebrated screen diva and wife of Nigeria’s legendary singer, 2baba, while sharing a video collage of her pictures growing up via her verified Instagram page, took to the caption section to reveal some of the hardship she faced growing up in their ‘Boys Quarters house in Mobil, VI’

Patting herself on the back, Idibia said, “Looking at the beautiful young Annie in these pictures is lovely. I am so proud of you. I want to give you a big warm hug. You have been through all sorts of hell from a very young age, with so many responsibilities from so young. That girl never gave up (never will still).”

She further revealed that since she got to SS1 in her secondary school, she never enjoyed break time like other students as she had to sneak out of school to carry on with her mother’s side business.

The actress continued, “From SS 1, she never knew what it felt like to go on ‘break time’ like other kids in school because that was when she sneaks out of school to rush to the market (the very old gateman, he was definitely in his 50s, became her friend), to buy her mother’s pepper soup ingredients that she would have to cook after school and sell in front of their Boys Quarters in Mobil, VI.

“She will wait till her single mother gets off work by 7 pm to take over from her (mom was a cook) those hours before 7 pm were the longest ever because she would have only a few hours left to study and do her homework before bedtime.”

The filmmaker mentioned that despite all she went through at the time, she always wore a smile. Moreso, she bragged that when it came to her academics, she was an ace student in mathematics and physics.

“Yet she always had a bright smile while serving their customers. She was so good at mathematics and physics. If you had ever met her. She always had a big bright smile to give with dreams way bigger than her (so I thought). The universe always had a way of constantly blessing her. She had so much love inside, so much love to give. Love so deep and unconditional.”

Idibia seized the opportunity to thank herself for never giving up, saying, “I want to thank me for never giving up on me. For all the NOs I did not allow to discourage me and lose focus. I want to thank me for being so aggressive with my dreams and what I wanted. I want to thank me. I want to hug you, young Annie.

“Girl, you have come a long way. and you have done well (aspiring to do better and wiser). Adulthood is still the hardest. Baba Ijesha was accused of inserting a car in the vag!na of a minor

Yesterday September 28,2021 a forensic report which gave vivid details of how actor Olanrewaju James a.k.a Baba Ijesha allegedly inserted a car key into the vagina of the foster daughter of comedienne, Princess was presented.

This was presented at the resumed sitting of the rape case involving the actor.

The forensic report was presented by a child forensic expert and the Executive Director of Cece Yara Foundation, Olabisi Ajayi-Kayode at the Special Offenses Court in Ikeja.

Olabisi was called in as a witness by the prosecution team led by the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Olayinka Adeyemi. The child forensic expert said clinical report on the minor showed Baba Ijesha allegedly engaged the child in sexual activities when she was 7 on two occasions, and on one occasion inserted his car key into her vagina.

She added that a forensic interview she had with the victim showed engagement and suppression of the minor as Baba Ijesha had asked the minor not to inform anyone.

Olabisi said;

“He told her not to tell anybody. The perpetrator also inserted his car key into her vagina and asked her not to tell anyone.”

As she disclosed that car key insertion occurred at a park where fruits are sold, Princess became very emotional and walked out of the court crying. She would later come back into the court.

Baba Ijesha who donned a blue face cap and black nose mask stood in the witness dock while the cross-examination lasted. He was not interrogated by the court because his counsel was absent.

The child forensic expert also presented a flash drive, containing a video coverage of the interview with the survivor

The judge then gave an assurance of video being displayed at the next setting of the court on the case. The case was then adjourned till October 20 and 21 for admission of more witnesses and cross-examination.

Baba Ijesha who has been entangled in a case of child molestation since April 2021 and was remanded in police custody before being granted bail after his arrest on April 22, is facing a six-count charge of sexual assault by penetration, indecent treatment of a child, and sexual assault.

Pregnant woman falls off hospital bed, dies during labour as Nurses slept

A would-be mum in labour has reportedly fell off delivery bed and died at the General Hospital, Ogwashi-Uku in Delta state.

It was gathered that the lady have been left unattended to by nurses on duty, who were alleged to have slept off as she was brought to the hospital late.

According to PUNCH, the pregnant lady was rushed to the hospital late in the night after she fell into labour for her first child. But the nurses on duty reportedly slept off after the lady’s caregiver was said to have gone home to pick some delivery items.

The care-giver was said to be shocked as she returned to the hospital only to find the woman dead on the floor while the nurses were sleeping.

The viral video of the incident showed a woman lying lifeless while the person behind the camera lamented over what was tagged the lackadaisical attitude of personnel at Ogwashi-Uku General Hospital.

The Public Relations officer of the State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe said he’s not aware of the incident as at the time of filling this report.

“Comparing me to Hushpuppi is an insult” – Invictus Obi Says

The Nigerian convicted fraudster, Obinwanne Okeke, better known as Invictus Obi, who is currently serving a 10-year sentence in a United States prison for $11m fraud, says it is insulting to compare him with self-professed fraudster, Ramon Abass, aka Hushpuppi, Yahoo News reports.

Invictus said that while he took to fraud in order to empower the less fortunate in Nigeria, Hushpuppi defrauded people in order to show off on social media.

While Invictus has been convicted, Hushpuppi is facing criminal charges for conspiracy to launder money obtained from business email compromise frauds and other scams, including schemes that defrauded a US law firm of about $40m, illegally transferred $14.7m from a foreign financial institution and targeted to steal $124m from an English football club until his arrest by the Dubai Police in June 2020 and his subsequent extradition to the United States.

“It’s insulting. Hushpuppi and I are not on the same level. Hushpuppi could never achieve what I achieved. He cannot run a business and we are not similar in any way.

“He was out to please the crowd, I was out to change lives, create jobs and conquer the business world. I have done so much for my community back home with my charity foundation. Which lives has he helped? Nobody,” Invictus said in response to a question on his similarity with Hushpuppi.

When asked if he disliked Hushpuppi, Invictus responded, “No, I have never met him, but I just find the continued comparison very annoying. Our impact on the world is very different. I have made much more positive contributions to society than he has.”

How I was introduced to online fraud

Invictus, who was named on Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 in 2016, also went down memory lane, narrating how he was introduced to online fraud.

“I was doing a little here and there, but the level changed through this one particular friend I used to look up to.

“I visited him one day and he was living very comfortably with three new cars and a huge house at a young age. When at his house, I noticed him on a website www.vionz.to that was selling crypto and bank logins.

“I asked him about the website and he showed me that he buys bank and crypto logins from there and easily withdraws above $20,000 at a time; that’s how he was funding his lifestyle. In 15 minutes, he demonstrated it to me and from there, I tried it myself when I got home.

“After successfully doing my first transfer so easily, it was hard to stop after that. From there, I got introduced to other money-making schemes that got me where I am today,” Invictus stated.

On what he missed the most about the outside world, Invictus said he missed his family and his business.

Taliban: Convicted murderers hunt for female Afghan Judges that convicted them

Over 220 female Afghan judges are hiding in secret locations due to fear of retribution by the Taliban .

In the past 20 years, 270 women have been judges in Afghanistan and have made convictions against the Taliban, killers and murderers.

But with the change in government in Afghanistan, their lives are now in danger as they are in secret locations for fear of being killed.


In a new interview with the BBC, six former female judges (whose names have been changed for their safety) spoke from secret locations across Afghanistan.


Masooma who has convicted hundreds of men for violence against women, including rape, murder and torture says death threats began just days after the Taliban took control of her city and thousands of convicted criminals were released from prison.

The threats came from text messages, voice notes and calls from unknown phone numbers .

“It was midnight when we heard the Taliban had freed all the prisoners from jail,” says Masooma.

“Immediately we fled. We left our home and everything behind.”

“Travelling by car out of the city, I wore a burka, so no-one would recognise me. Fortunately, we made it past all the Taliban checkpoints.”


Shortly after she and her family left, her neighbours texted her to say several members of the Taliban had arrived at her old house.

Months ago, Masooma was ruling over a case investigating a Taliban member  for brutally murdering his wife.


Upon finding him guilty, Masooma sentenced the man to 20 years in prison.


“I can still see the image of that young woman in my mind. It was a brutal crime,” says Masooma.


“After the case was over, the criminal approached me and said: ‘When I get out of prison, I will do to you what I did to my wife.’


“At the time I didn’t take him seriously. But since the Taliban took power, he has called me many times and said he has taken all of my information from the court offices.


“He told me: ‘I will find you and have my revenge.'”

 Four other female judges in hiding named specific men whom they sentenced for murdering their wives.


All judges say they have changed their phone number at least once due to receiving death threats.

In response to the accusations, Taliban spokesman Bilal Karimi told the BBC: “Female judges should live like any other family without fear. No-one should threaten them. Our special military units are obliged to investigate such complaints and act if there is a violation.”

He also repeated the Taliban’s promise of a “general amnesty” for all former government workers across Afghanistan.

“Our general amnesty is sincere. But if some wish to file a case to leave the country, our request is that they do not do this and they stay in their country.”

During the mass release of prisoners, many criminals not associated with the Taliban were also released. Reacting to this Taliban spokesman, Karimi said:

“In the case of drug traffickers, mafia members, our intention is to destroy them. Our action against them will be serious.”

3 ladies “in the head execution-style’ in South Africa

Three ladies including a teenager were shot in the head execution-style in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, South Africa on Monday evening, September 27. 

Western Cape police spokesperson, Brigadier Novela Potelwa who confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday, September 28, said police have instituted the 72-hour activation plan for the mobilisation of resources in search of the suspect who shot and killed the young women. 

“Reports from the scene indicate that residents at the TT Block informal settlement recall hearing gunshots after 20:00. A few minutes later the bodies of young women aged 17, 20 and 21 were discovered in a passage between the shacks. The victims had all been shot in their heads,” Potelwa stated. 

“As investigations into the murders continue, the motive for the shooting incident is yet to be determined.

“Anyone with information about the incident that could assist the police investigations is urged to contact police on Crime Stop 08600 10111 or submit information via My SAPS App. Information received will be handled in strict confidence.”

Friends have taken to social media to mourn two of the victims identified as Unam Bless and Malone Zaynee Skemper.

One Azola Lungile said Bless had a passion for dancing. 

“What a tragedy that I’ve just heard now , a young talented female who had a passion of dancing and living her best life was shot to Death yesterday right after she posted how happy she is in her life , Unam Bless baby girl I so wish your family finds strength and wisdom to overcome this tragedy that has happened to you , Rest In Peace my love , you will forever be in our hearts and minds & may your beautiful soul finds peace andinawo namazwi kukothuka. Meanwhile, local media reported that Khayelitsha community has been rocked by gender-based violence and femicide over the past few months.

Recently, a memorial service was held for Nomandla Mthathi, 34, who was stabbed to death, allegedly by a friend of her boyfriend.

In August, a woman’s body, who had been set alight, was found near the Khayelitsha stadium.

In the same month, a Khayelitsha woman who stood for nomination as an ANC candidate for the City of Cape Town, Phumeza Nomzazi, was shot dead.

In June, a 79-year-old woman was raped, killed and torched inside her home.

Khayelitsha Development Forum chairperson Ndithini Tyhido told the Weekend Argus he was tired of being in a position where he had to condemn the shootings happening in the area.

“I am really tired now, unless we as the community rise up and defend our community. We have let our guard down and allowed criminals to be our equals,” Tyhido said.

Oyo customs intercepts Over 750 live cartridges concealed in garri sacks

A Special Assignment Team of Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’ intercepted three Mazda Saloon cars loaded with cartridges concealed in sacks of cassava flour (garri) and parboiled rice.

The Acting Comptroller in Charge of the Unit, DC Hussein Ejibunu, disclosed this on Monday, September 27, in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the zone, DSC Theophilus Duniya.

According to the statement, the seizures were made while officers of the zone were on information patrol on Sunday at about 10pm along Igbora axis of Oyo State.

“It was reported that the drivers abandoned their vehicles on sighting the official vehicle. The items discovered during physical examination in the office included 751 pieces of AAA, 70mm live Lion Cartridges, sacks of cassava flour and sacks of parboiled rice,

“The vehicles including their contents have been deposited at the station for further investigation.” the statement read.

Brother R.Kelly, found guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering, may end up in jail

“I Believe I Can Fly”  superstar, R.Kelly has been found guilty of racketeering in a high-profile sex-trafficking case after being trailed by accusations of sexual misconduct and abuse for a long time. 

The singer has been in custody and on trial in New York for one count of racketeering since he was formally charged in 2019, with 14 underlying acts that included sexual exploitation of a child, kidnapping, bribery and sex trafficking charges. He was also charged with eight additional counts of violations of the Mann Act, a sex trafficking law which bars the transport of people across state lines “for any immoral purpose.”

Though R.Kelly who is best known for the 1996 hit “I Believe I Can Fly” pleaded not guilty to all charges in the case and did not take the stand in his own defense, prosecutors in the trial which centered around the allegations of six people, alleged that the singer was a serial sexual predator who abused young women as well as underage girls and boys for more than two decades.

Federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York successfully proved to a jury of seven men and five women that Kelly had been the head of a criminal enterprise, whose purpose was to lure girls, boys and women to the R&B singer for his sexual gratification.

In a closing argument that lasted two days, Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Geddes accused Kelly and his entourage of using tactics from “the predator playbook” to control his victims.

It was alleged that his tactics include confining victims in hotel rooms or his recording studio, managing when they could eat and use the bathroom, and forcing them to follow various “rules,” including demanding they call him “Daddy.”

Fifty prosecution and defense witnesses took the stand during the five-week trial, including victims who were identified as “Jane Does” in Kelly’s indictments. There were 45 prosecution witnesses.

He was found guilty of charges including sexual exploitation of a child, bribery, kidnapping, racketeering and sex trafficking involving six victims. His sentencing in New York is scheduled for May 4, 2022. Kelly faces a possible sentence of 10 years to life in prison.

Additionally, Kelly faces outstanding criminal charges in both Cook County, Ill., where he was indicted by the state attorney in February 2019 for aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four victims (three of them minors), and in Minnesota, where he was charged in August 2019 with engaging in prostitution with a minor.

The singer will face a second federal trial on charges of child pornography and obstruction of justice in Illinois. Some of those accusations are related to a 2008 child pornography trial in Chicago, in which he was acquitted of all charges.

In the 1990s and 2000s, Kelly was considered one of the kings of R&B. He was widely credited with helping to redefine the genre with popular tracks like “Bump N’ Grind,” “I’m a Flirt (Remix)” and the “hip-hopera” project “Trapped in a Closet.”

His actions behind-the-scenes attracted greater public scrutiny with the rise of the #MeToo movement, leading to the #MuteRKelly social media campaign, boycotts of his records and protests across the United States.

‘There will be no election in Anambra’ – IPOB declares

The IPOB says it has not officially declared a ‘no election’ day in Anambra State.

The group in a statement released by its media and publicity secretary Emma Powerful, said it has no plans to attack South Easterners and South Southerners as it is preoccupied with its vision to actualize Biafra.

IPOB maintained that violence is not part of its philosophy, wondering how its members would be accused of attacking the same people they were fighting for.

The statement reads in part

“It is important to note that contrary to speculations, IPOB has not officially declared ‘no election in Anambra State’. Our preoccupation is Biafra restoration.

Anybody equating IPOB strategy with Boko Haram terrorists, bandits and herdsmen is ignorant and mischievous. Many acclaimed Northerners don’t know what we are doing to restore Biafra.

We read with amusement, a fallacious media remark by one inconsequential Shekau, a self- acclaimed supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari where he displayed his ignorance and cluelessness about IPOB, our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and the goings-on in Biafra land.

As much as we would not want to dignify this amorphous fellow with a response, the pertinent question is: who is this Shekau without a surname that a national newspaper should publish?

It is a pity that this ignoble fellow and attention seeker compared a non-violent movement like IPOB to Boko Haram terrorists created and groomed by the North to kill Jewish and Christian adherents, Indigenous Northerners and security agents.

IPOB has seen numerous false propaganda in the past and we are not in any way moved by this latest vomit. We know the antics of our enemies who are never tired of sponsoring media lies to cover up their evil and rubbish our struggle for independence but we are not deterred.

Contrary to the vomit by this inconsequential fellow, IPOB has no plans to attack South Easterners and South Southerners. In the first place, violence is not part of our philosophy. Assuming we want to resort to violence, how can we attack our people whom we are fighting for?

Will Smith and his wife, Jada, confirmed that they had other sexual relationships in marriage

US Superstar actor, Will Smith has revealed that he and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith have had sexual relationships with other people throughout their marriage.

He said that their marriage was monogamous at first but they eventually opened it.

Recall that last year, their relationship was a topic of discussion after rapper August Alsina claimed he was in a relationship with Jada with permission from Will.

Chadian Army indicted by Nigerian Navy, accuses them of illegal selling of arms

Nigerian Navy accuses Chadian soldiers of engaging in illegal sale of arms.

The allegation was made at a public hearing organised by the House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence on the consideration of four security bills.

A representative of the Chief of Naval Staff, Commodore Jemila Abubakar while appearing before the committee, said weapons donated by developed countries to neighbouring nations are compounding the security woes of the country.

Jemila also disclosed that some of the countries who share a border with Nigeria, have no armoury. She said; 

“Section 9 (1) suggests an additional function of proposing a seized weapons and arms be used by security agencies; I think we can look at the provisions of the international convention on the issue of how the arms should be used when seized.”

“Other sections have been addressed by our colleagues, so I’m sure their presentations have been submitted. I want to contribute to the coming seminar on the operation of arms to be organised by the house of representatives.

“I was in charge as a member of the fight against Boko Haram and I can tell you categorically here, I stand to be corrected, that some of these countries that we have borders with have no armoury.

“They do not have armoury. So most of their arms that are being donated by – I don’t want to be specific – the developed countries in the name of assisting us are compounding our problems in Nigeria because you find out that each average Chadian soldier has 20 to 30 arms underneath his bed. When he is broke, he brings it out and sells it for $30, $20. I am here, I am standing here, and I am saying it.

“Since we are going to collaborate with ECOWAS and other countries that are donating such arms to these countries, I think we should insist that they should either enact laws to govern the handling of these arms and ammunition or build an armoury for these countries or else we will not see peace.”

‘I feel no pressure inheriting Lionel Messi’s No 10 shirt’ – Ansu Fati says

Barcelona’s star, Ansu Fati has stated that he feels ‘no pressure’ after taking on the responsibility of the No 10 shirt that Lionel Messi wore at Barcelona.  

The Catalan giants were unable to retire Messi’s shirt after he joined PSG as the Spanish FA’s rules require LaLiga teams to assign their 25-man squad the numbers 1-25. Barcelona then made the decision to hand it to another graduate of the club’s famed La Masia academy instead. 

Fati, who swapped from No 17 to 10, scored his frist goal in the shirt during Barcelona’s victory over Levante over the weekend. 

Speaking after the game, the youngster says he feels proud rather than nervous when it comes to wearing the jersey.  

He said: ‘It is not a pressure. I am proud to wear the number 10 after Leo. I am happy with the club and captains for the opportunity.’ 

Barcelona released as statement at the start of the month outlining why ‘record breaker’ Fati was the perfect player to be filing Messi’s shoes.  

”Ansu Fati has a new shirt number. After wearing the No 22 then No 17, the young Barca striker will proudly wear the number 10 shirt – a famous jersey previously worn by legends such as Leo Messi, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo,’ the statement read.

Despite being just 18 years of age and still recovering from injury, Ansu Fati forms part of Barca’s history as a record breaker and also with the Spanish national side.

‘Since his debut in August 2019, the youngster has set records in the league and Champions League.

‘Just six days after his debut for the first team he became the youngest ever player to score in the league for FC Barcelona. He is a record breaker who will now wear the magical No 10 shirt.’

The No 10 shirt at Barcelona carries a lot of weight – having been previously worn by Diego Maradona, Pep Guardiola, Romario, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho. 

North Korea launches its third ‘missiles’ test this month – South Korea says

* North Korea has fired a short-range missile towards the sea off its east coast early on Tuesday, September 28 South Korea’s military has announced.

The missiles test comes after North Korea’s ambassador said at the UN General Assembly that no-one could deny Pyongyang’s right to self-defence and to test weapons.

The test also comes after Pyongyang test-fired both ballistic and cruise missiles earlier this month and days agyer North Korea also expressed willingness to engage in talks with the South.


North Korea’s envoy Kim Song spoke at the annual UN General Assembly in New York.


He said the North had a right to “develop, test, manufacture and possess” weapons systems.

 Kim added that the country was “building up our national defence in order to defend ourselves and reliably safeguard the security and peace of the country”, according to an AFP report.


The US military said in a statement on Tuesday that it was aware of the missile launch.

However, the US Indo-Pacific Command said that the launch “highlighted the destabilising impact of [North Korea’s] illicit weapons program”.

The Japanese media quoted the defence ministry as saying that the projectile may have been a ballistic missile, which is banned under United Nations sanctions.

North Korea is facing food shortages, and has spent more than a year in isolation as it shut its borders to keep out Covid-19.

John Hinckley, who almost killed President Ronald Reagan, granted unconditional release

John Hinckley Jr, A man who almost assasinated US President – Regan, has been granted unconditional release in June 2022 by a federal judge.

Hinckley wounded President Ronald Reagan and three others outside Washington D.C. hotel in a failed assassination attempt in 1981.

A federal judge ruled on Monday September 27 that the man who tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan four decades ago, can be freed from all remaining restrictions next year if he continues to follow rules and remains mentally stable. 

Hinckley was found not guilty by insanity for the 1981 shooting that left Reagan with a chest injury. His press secretary, James Brady?, was paralyzed, while a Secret Service agent, and cop were also shot. He was committed to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in D.C. after the verdict, where he lived until 2016 when a federal judge signed off on his release, with restrictions.

Hinckley is now 66 years old and has been living outside a mental health facility for the past few years, a result of a gradual lightening of supervision. His lawyer said the “momentous event” of Hinckley’s full release in June is both appropriate and required by the law.

Prosecutor Kacie Weston said the Justice Department agreed to a settlement but wanted to monitor Hinckley for the next nine months because of two big changes in his life: He’s living on his own for the first time in about 40 years, and because one of his primary doctors is preparing for retirement and disbanding Hinckley’s therapy group. 

It is expected that the Justice Department will file a motion with the court before June if it had fresh concerns about Hinckley.

Hinckley also on Monday apologized to the people he shot, the American people, and actress Jodie Foster, whose attention he tried to win with the act.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation And Institute, however, said in a statement that it thinks Hinckley is still a threat and it strongly opposes his release. The institute said in a statement; 

“Our hope is that the Justice Department will file a motion with the court leading to a reversal of this decision.”

The UK Police are investigating a shocking video showing two teenage girls fighting in a park while a group of men egged them on.

The three women kept calm but the woman in black then launched at one of them and started punching her and pulling her hair.

As the violence unfolded, a group of men can be heard encouraging the two girls to hit each other.

“Hit her,” the men said.

The attacker can then be seen dragging one of the women over the grass, losing her bikini top in the process as the victim’s friends try to pull her away.

The attack lasted for nearly a minute and ended with the girl in the black bikini firing one last kick toward the victim’s head.

A New South Wales Police spokesperson said officers were called to the park at around 2.10pm on Friday afternoon following reports that “a teenage girl had assaulted two other girls”.

They said: “The group dispersed before police arrived. Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are conducting inquiries.”

The footage was taken by a concerned parent who watched the horror unfold.

“She can’t be let to get away with this thinking she can just attack people and not have any consequence, and the young blokes egging her on should also be tracked down and charged with inciting the violence,” the dad told local media.

It is not clear what provoked the attack.

DJ Switch, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, has refuted claims she got asylum to Canada.

Recall that the entertainer who was signed by Peter Okoye as his personal disc jockey in 2017, made headlines after capturing the shooting which occurred at Lekki Toll Gate in an Instalive video on October 20, 2020.

Shortly after the gunshot incident during the EndSARS protest at the tollgate, it was widely reported that she had fled the country and has taken asylum in Canada. The personal assistant to singer, Peter Okoye, Charles Abi, even granted an interview where he stated that DJ Switch is safe and out of the country. 

In a message posted on her Instastories, DJ Switch debunked reports she has been granted asylum in Canada. According to her, she never stepped foot into Canada and has been cooked up in a house for months.

Japanese Princess to forfeit her royal title and cash so she can marry her university sweetheart

A princess is set to make a £730,000 payment to give up her royal status in order to marry her university classmate.

Japan’s Princess Mako, who is the granddaughter of then-Emperor Akihito, announced her engagement to college classmate, Kei Komuro, back in 2017 but the wedding has been delayed for years because of controversy over her fiancé.

The wedding was put off after reports of a financial dispute between Mr Komuro’s mother and her former fiancé.

It has now been reported that the government is set to agree that the princess foregoes the payment, worth up to 150 million yen, for royals giving up their status to marry commoners, according to Reuters.

Japanese public broadcaster NHK is reporting that the wedding date could be announced as early as next month.

Media have said the couple – who met while studying at the International Christian University in Tokyo – plan to live in the United States.

Under Japan’s males-only royal succession law, female members of the imperial family lose their status on marrying commoners.

Princess Mako of Akishino is one of Japan’s most popular and fashionable royals and has been likened to Kate Middleton.

In Japan, she is rarely out of the public eye, but for a year she disguised herself as a regular student at the University of Leicester.

Keen not to stick out, Princess Mako lived in halls of residence with other students while studying for a masters in Art Museum and Gallery Studies back in 2015.

The princess had previously studied at the University of Edinburgh on an exchange programme.

Fresh WHO experts recommences investigation into the origins of Covid-19

World Health Organisation is set to carry out a new investigation into the origins of the Covid outbreak and probe whether the virus came from a Wuhan lab. 


A new team of experts will be appointed, including experts on biosecurity, laboratory safety, genetics, and how viruses spread to humans, The Wall Street Journal reports. 


According to the report, they will look into whether coronavirus leaked from a lab in Wuhan, at the end of 2019 – a claim denied by China, which also wants the WHO to examine if the virus originated in another country. 


It comes after US President Joe Biden ordered intelligence agencies to investigate the ‘lab leak’ theory.

A WHO spokesman said the new team’s ‘priority needs to be data and access in the country where the first reports were identified’.  


The earlier investigation recommended China examine the earliest suspected coronavirus cases, with the team claiming in its final report that the data provided by the country was insufficient.

Germany’s SDP political Party beats Angela Merkel’s Party

The Germany’s centre-left Social Democrats (SPD) have narrowly won the country’s federal elections, beating the party of outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel.

According to preliminary results, the SPD secured 25.7% of the vote, while the ruling conservative CDU/CSU bloc gained 24.1%.

Meanwhile, The Greens party achieved the best result in their party’s history, coming in third with 14.8% of the ballot.


With the win, SDP must now form a coalition to form a government.

With the nature of the result, chancellor Merkel will not be going anywhere until the coalition is formed – which may take as long as Christmas.

Her successor’s task is to lead Europe’s foremost economy over the next four years, with climate change at the top of voters’ agenda.

As results trickled in, Scholz’s SPD supporters greeted him in raptures, but it was only later when his party edged into the lead that he told a televised audience the voters had given him the job of forming a “good, pragmatic government for Germany”.

It is the first time that Germany is facing a three-way coalition.

North Korea consider having a peace summit with South Korea

North Korea is willing to consider having another peace summit with South Korea if mutual respect between the neighbors can be assured, North Korean state news agency KCNA has said.

 Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un, made the announcement according to KCNA.


North Korea’s pursuit of nuclear weapons has complicated the question of both countries formally ending their war, which halted with an armistice, rather than a peace treaty, leaving US-led UN forces technically still at war with the North.


For decades, North Korea has sought an end to the 1950-53 Korean War, but the United States has been reluctant to agree, unless it gives up nuclear weapons.

Last week, September 22, at the United Nations General Assembly, South Korea’s president Moon Jae-In stated he will like both countries together with the US and China to declare an end to the war and now North Korea has responded saying they could have another peace summit if both countries respect each other.


“I think that only when impartiality and the attitude of respecting each other are maintained, can there be smooth understanding between the north and the south,” said Kim Yo Jong, a confidante of her brother.

Constructive discussions offer a chance for solutions on issues such as “the re-establishment of the north-south joint liaison office and the north-south summit, to say nothing of the timely declaration of the significant termination of the war”, Kim said.


In her remarks, Kim said she noted with interest the intense discussion in the South over the renewed prospect of a formal declaration.

“I felt that the atmosphere of the South Korean public desiring to recover the inter-Korean relations from a deadlock and achieve peaceful stability as soon as possible is irresistibly strong,” she said. “We, too, have the same desire.”
On Sunday, responding to the remarks, Seoul’s unification ministry said in a statement, “For these discussions, the inter-Korean communication line must first be restored swiftly, as smooth and stable communication is important.”

South Korea welcomed the news on Sunday, with the Unification Ministry saying it expected to swiftly engage in talks with Pyongyang, while urging the need to restore a hotline link between the two.

The hotline, maintained by South Korea’s military to handle relations with Pyongyang, has not operated since August, as North Korea stopped answering calls.

Taliban: Afghan barbers barred from trimming beards, say it is against Islamic law

The Taliban have banned barbing salons in Afghanistan’s Helmand province from shaving or trimming beards, saying it breaches their interpretation of Islamic law and that anyone caught violating the rule will be punished.


Since taking over power last month in Afghanistan, the Taliban have carried out harsh punishments on opponents. 

On Saturday, 25th September, the group’s fighters shot dead four alleged kidnappers and their bodies were hung in the streets of Herat province.

And now barbers in the capital Kabul have said they have been warned against trimming beards.

In a notice posted on salons in southern Helmand province, Taliban officers warned that hairdressers must follow Sharia law for haircuts and beards.


“No one has a right to complain,” the notice, which was seen by the BBC, read.

“The fighters keep coming and ordering us to stop trimming beards,” one barber in Kabul said. “One of them told me they can send undercover inspectors to catch us.”

Another hairdresser, who runs one of the city’s biggest salons, said he received a call from someone claiming to be a government official. They instructed him to “stop following American styles” and not to shave or trim anyone’s beard.

During the Taliban’s first stint in power from 1996 to 2001, the group banned flamboyant hairstyles and insisted that men grow beards.

The new instructions suggest a return to the strict reign of the group’s past tenure in power, despite promises to the West to be more considerate and milder in it’s government this time around.

Donald Trump faces Criminal Charges over his phone call to Georgia officials asking them to ‘find 11,780 votes’ to win

Ex US President, Donald Trump could reportedly face multiple criminal charges over his phone call to Georgia officials asking them to ‘find 11,780 votes’ to help him overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 election win. 

In a report by Brookings Institute think-tank, it claimed that ‘the Georgia electoral process and vote count was subjected to sustained assault’ by Trump and his allies as they attempted to ‘change the lawful outcome of the election.’

The DC-based institute concluded that Trump and some of his allies, including Rudy Giuliani,  could be charged with election fraud, intentional interference with an election official’s performance of election-related duties, and conspiracy. 

The report also suggests that they could be charged with an array of election misconduct such as false statements in connections with official matters, attempts to influence government officials in improper ways, and solicitation of action violative of public officer oaths. 

It also notes that Trump violated the Georgia Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, which Fulton County’s District Attorney, Fani T. Willis, has been investigating since his January 2, phone call with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. 

Much of the 107-page report from the Brookings Institute revolves around the notorious call when Trump pressured the Georgia secretary of state to ‘find’ votes.   

During the January 2 phone call, Trump repeatedly argued that Raffensperger could change the certified results, an assertion the secretary of state firmly rejected.

‘All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have,’ Trump said. ‘Because we won the state.’ Biden was ahead of Trump by 11,779 votes at the time, and ultimately carried the state by that margin. 

‘There’s no way I lost Georgia,’ Trump insisted. ‘There’s no way. We won by hundreds of thousands of votes.’ 

The former president’s senior advisor, Jason Miller, told DailyMail.com there was nothing unusual about the call, suggesting there is no need for an investigation.

‘There was nothing improper or untoward about a scheduled call between President Trump, Secretary Raffensperger and lawyers on both sides,’ Miller said.

‘If Mr. Raffensperger didn’t want to receive calls about the election, he shouldn’t have run for Secretary of State,’ he continued. ‘And the only reason the call became public was because Mr. Raffensperger leaked it in an attempt to score political points.’ 

Georgia’s secretary of state office is currently in its seventh month of a criminal investigation into the notorious phone call. 

The report from the Brookings Institute also cited other instances when Trump contacted other Georgia officials to help him overturn his loss, including Governor Brian Kemp and Attorney General Chris Carr. 

Georgia was the last state to be called in the 2020 presidential election which elected Biden to be the 46th president of the United States. 

The popular vote counted 2,473,633 votes for Biden and 2461,854 votes for Trump. Biden’s win was recertified in December 2020 following a recount. 

‘We have now counted legally cast ballots three times, and the results remain unchanged,’ Raffensperger said. 

Biden’s win was the first time that Georgia voted Democratic since electing Bill Clinton to the White House in 1992. 

“Don’t go for a Rematch with Oleksandr Usyk” – Warren warns Anthony Joshua

Mr. Warren has warned Anthony Joshua not to seek a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk because he will never beat him.

Warren, who promotes WBC champion Tyson Fury, made the warning while commenting the proposed showdown for the undisputed heavyweight title between Joshua and Fury. 

He said there’s still hope for the two british boxer to fight despite Joshua losing his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO world titles to Usyk. 

As for Joshua’s impending move to trigger his contractual right to a rematch with Usyk, most likely in February or March in the UK, Warren believe it would be an enormous mistake.

He told Sportsmail: ‘He shouldn’t go anywhere near Usyk – he will never beat him.

‘In terms of fighting Tyson Fury, it can happen. Joshua losing has taken away the belts and he is damaged goods now. But people would still buy into that fight. It can happen and it can happen in the UK.

‘But he shouldn’t have a rematch with Usyk. I wouldn’t even think about it if I was him.’

Joshua was outclassed by Usyk in his 117-112, 116-112, 115-113 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Warren believes Fury would have ‘destroyed’ Joshua in the first half of the fight had he been in the opposing corner.

He said: ‘I thought Joshua was poor. Take nothing away from Usyk, who was brilliant, but Joshua was poor. He didn’t fancy it at all. What was he even doing on the ring walk? He was shaking hands with people in the crowd. You’re meant to be on a mission. When he was in the ring he looked gun shy.

‘Tyson Fury would have destroyed him inside three or four rounds. Tyson has great footwork, a great chin and his hands are as fast as Usyk’s and he is bigger – he would have destroyed Joshua.’    

Switzerland makes same-sex marriage legal

The Swiss nation has agreed to legalise civil marriage and the right to adopt children for same-sex couples by a nearly two-thirds majority in a referendum, making it one of the last countries in Western Europe to legalise gay marriage.

According to results provided by the Swiss federal chancellery, 64.1 percent of voters voted in favour of same-sex marriage in Sunday’s nationwide referendum.

“It is a historic day for Switzerland, a historic day when it comes to equality for same-sex couples, and it is also an important day for the whole LGBT community,” said Jan Muller of the “yes” campaign committee.

Switzerland is the world’s 30th country to adopt same-sex marriages, and one of the last remaining western European nations to do so. The Netherlands was the first in 2001.

“We are very happy and relieved,” said Antonia Hauswirth of the national committee “Marriage for All”, adding supporters would celebrate in Switzerland’s capital Bern on Sunday.

Justice minister Karin Keller-Sutter said the first same-sex marriages should be able to take place from July 1 next year.

“Whoever loves each other and wants to get married will be able to do so, regardless of whether it is two men, two women, or a man and a woman,” she said.

“The state does not have to tell citizens how they should lead their lives.”

Amnesty International welcomed the move as a “milestone for equality”.

While same-sex couples can register a civil partnership, with about 700 established each year, the arrangement does not provide the same rights as marriage, including for obtaining citizenship and the joint adoption of children.

The amended law will make it possible for same-sex couples to get married in civil ceremonies, and adopt children. Married lesbian couples will also have access to sperm donation, in what was one of the more controversial aspects of the referendum campaign.

 50,000 signatures needed to put the issue to a referendum under Switzerland’s system of direct democracy was gathered after the Swiss parliament approved a bill last December allowing same-sex couples to marry.

Monika Rueegger of the right-wing Swiss People’s Party (SVP) and member of the referendum committee “No to Marriage for All” said she was disappointed at the outcome.

“This was not about love and feelings, it was about children’s welfare. Children and fathers are the losers here,” she told the Reuters news agency.

The law will also make it easier for foreigners married to Swiss people to get citizenship

Eddie Hearn has confirmed his client, Anthony Joshua has been taken to hospital for treatment on an eye injury suffered in his title defeat to Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night, September 25 in London.

Joshua lost to the undefeated Ukrainian Usyk after a scintillating display.

Usyk who is a southpaw fighter, landed headshots throughout the contest with his shots causing Joshua’s right eye to swell after the 10th round.

By the end of the 12th round, Joshua was barely standing and had to be saved by the time bell.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn (pictured below) said his fighter may have suffered a broken eye socket.

‘When he lost in New York everyone started analysing the dressing room, the ring walk,’ Hearn said.

‘He was fine, he was maybe a little too relaxed on the ring walk, he was shaking everyone’s hand, he was hugging a few people that is just AJ but I feel it was the wrong type of performance.

‘Sometimes you have to use your attributes.


‘[Joshua] never really got going, he will go to hospital now, I don’t know if he has broken his eye socket, it doesn’t look great.’


Joshua now has 30 days to activate a  rematch clause which will most likely take place in Usyk’s home.

British Govt. to issue about 10,500 temporary work visas to seasonal workers

Britain will issue up to 10,500 temporary work visas to lorry drivers and poultry workers to ease chronic staff shortages, the government announced Saturday, September 25 in a U-turn on post-Brexit immigration policy.

The short-term visas, to run from next month until late December, come as UK ministers grapple with a huge shortfall in drivers and some other key workers that have hit fuel supplies and additional industries.

A tanker drivers shortage has caused large queues at petrol stations in recent days, as people ignore government pleas not to panic-buy fuel after some garages closed due to the lack of deliveries.

The government confirmed that 5,000 fuel tanker and food lorry drivers will be eligible to work in the UK for three months, until Christmas Eve.

The scheme is also being extended to 5,500 poultry workers.

The transport secretary said he did not want to “undercut” British workers but could not stand by while queues formed.

But the UK Chambers of Commerce said the measures were the equivalent of “throwing a thimble of water on a bonfire”.


While the Road Haulage Association said the announcement “barely scratches the surface”, adding that only offering visas until Christmas Eve “will not be enough for companies or the drivers themselves to be attractive”.

Marc Fels, director of the HGV Recruitment Centre, said visas for lorry drivers were “too little” and “too late”.


However, the news was welcomed by freight industry group Logistics UK, which called the policy “a huge step forward in solving the disruption to supply chains”.

Cristiano Ronaldo may take up Manchester United Coaching role upon retirement

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly eyeing a coaching role at Manchester United once he hangs up his boots at Old Trafford.’


Ronaldo signed a two-year deal with an option for a third year when he rejoined United from Juventus last month and wants to carry on playing for as long as possible.

As reported by The Sun, Ronaldo wants to subsequently continue his association with United by becoming part of the coaching staff.

Since rejoining the club, Ronaldo has scored four goals in three appearances.

The 36-year-old has a strong connection with United having enjoyed much success during his initial spell at the club from 2003 to 2009.

During that time Ronaldo won the Champions League, three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and two League Cups. 

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently stated that he feels Ronaldo could continue playing until he’s 40 years old. 

‘I wouldn’t be surprised if he still played when he was 40, not at all, because of the way he looks after himself.

Kelly Clarkson have officially parted ways with Brandon Blackstock

American singer and show host, Kelly Clarkson is officially divorced from Brandon Blackstock. 

Clarkson became “legally single” after a judge signed off on a legal dissolution of her marriage from Brandon Blackstock in early August, a year and three months after she filed for divorce. Their “marital or domestic partnership status” will end on January 7, 2022.

The “Breakaway” singer, 39, filed for divorce from the 44-year-old music manager in June 2020, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The former couple got married in 2013 and share two children, River, 7, and Remington, 5. Blackstock also has two children, Savannah, 19, and Seth, 14, from his previous marriage to Melissa Ashworth.

In July, Clarkson and her lawyer filed a motion for a separate trial to terminate her marital status so that she would be declared single while divorce proceedings continued. A few weeks later, it was reported that Clarkson was ordered to pay $150,000 per month in spousal support to Blackstock starting from April 1, 2021.

Court documents further revealed that she was also ordered to pay him an additional $45,601 per month to “benefit” their children, totaling her payment to him as $195,601 per month. This was because Clarkson earns $1.9 million a month, while Brandon makes $10k a month.

A source told PEOPLE that the show host is okay with the ruling. The source said; 

“She is doing great and facing forward. She’s enjoying the fact that she has the kids for the vast majority of the time and is enjoying time spent with them.”

When she was granted primary custody of her two children in November 2020, a source said; 

“As Kelly has said, her first priority in all of this is to take care of the kids and all the hearts that are involved in this divorce.

“It’s been a hard time for everyone, but Kelly’s pleased with the court’s ruling regarding custody.”

Justice: Court jails Ugandan Govt official for 40 years for embezzling $26.4M (video)

A Ugandan anti-corruption court on Friday, September 24, sentenced a government official to 40 years in prison and ordered him to pay $5.4 million in compensation for embezzlment. 

Godfrey Kazinda was accused of embezzling $26.4 million from a scheme funded by the governments of Ireland, SwedeM and Denmark to help northern Uganda recover from the ravages of a decades-long insurgency by the notorious Lord’s Resistance Army.

Kazinda, a former accountant in the Office of the Prime Minister, was found guilty of “the offences of illicit enrichment, forgery, causing financial loss and conspiracy to commit felonies”, Justice Margaret Tibulya said, sentencing him to 40 years in jail.

“You are ordered to compensate the government to a tune of 19,171,476,505 shillings,” she added.

The government has also seized Kazinda’s properties, including a 20-room mansion valued at one million dollars, as well as four luxury sports cars worth $218,000, court documents showed.

Kazinda used the proceeds to fund a life of luxury, living in a suite at the Sheraton Kampala for about 10 months at one point and travelling to high-end tourism destinations all over the world.

Police also found huge amounts of foreign currency stashed away while conducting a search of one of his Kampala properties, including GBP 200,000 in cash.

Friday’s ruling follows a protracted nine-year legal battle.

‘Use your Office to Stabilize West Africa’ – UN tells M. Buhari

The United Nations has told the Buhari led government to use its position in Africa to stabilize the continent.

According to a statement by president Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina, the UN secretary-general revealed this at a meeting with Buhari on Friday, September 24, at the 76th session of the United Nations general assembly (UNGA) taking place in New York.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres,  urged Buhari to leverage on his leadership position to ensure stability among West African nations.


“According to the UN scribe, Africa, especially West Africa, was generally seen as an ocean of stability and good governance, but was deeply concerned at recent reversal of fortunes in democratic rule in some parts of the West African sub-region with coups overturning elected institutions,” Adesina said.

“He, therefore, urged President Buhari to continue to show leadership as he looks up to Nigeria to help stabilise the sub-region in terms of democracy and good governance.

“On terrorism, the secretary-general commended the efforts of Nigeria on this global phenomenon, assuring the Nigerian leader of the United Nations’ continued support in her efforts to address the prevailing security and humanitarian challenges that have arisen, especially with the internally displaced persons.

“He also commended Nigeria’s efforts on climate change, expressing willingness of the world body to cooperate with the country in this regard.

“President Buhari applauded Mr Gutterres for his global leadership and the success of the 76th session. He assured the secretary-general that Nigeria had achieved appreciable successes in tackling the insecurity caused by terrorists and bandits.

“The president also thanked him for the global organisation’s intervention in activities towards reducing the effects of climate change, especially with the support for the Great Green Wall programme, which is aimed at arresting desertification across the Sahel as well as the campaign against deforestation in Nigeria.”

Women taking over Mayorship positions in Morocco’s leading cities

Three women have been elected Mayors in Morocco’s leading cities, following a nationwide parliamentary, regional and municipal polls on September 8.

On Friday September 24, Rabat – Asmaa Rhlalou, a member of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) became the first woman mayor of Morocco’s capital Rabat. The new mayor of Rabat defeated two other candidates. Hassan Lachgar from the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), and Badia Bennani from the Justice and Development Party (PJD).

Speaking after her election, Rhlalou said; 

“It’s a historical day for the city of lights.”

On Monday September 20, Nabila Rmili who is also another RNI member, was elected as mayor of Casablanca, Morocco’s commercial capital and biggest city with 3.5 million residents.

Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) candidate, Fatima Zahra Mansouri also returned as the mayor of tourist hotspot Marrakech, a position she occupied from 2009 to 2015. 

The outcome of the election means three of the kingdom’s main cities are led by women following elections earlier this month. RNI won the majority of the votes in the 2021 elections (102), followed by the Authenticity and Modernity party (PAM), and Al Istiqlal.

‘Imagine someone I fed and clothed arranged my kidnapping’ – Rivers businessman

A Rivers state-based businessman known as Alex Arthur, has recounted how a boy he fed and clothed connived with a gang to kidnap him in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on September 8.

Alex Arthur during an interview with The Nation, said ;

“There is a boy I used to know in my former place of residence. His name is Golden aka Sugar Gold. I met him early last year. He was looking unkempt, although he was old enough to take care of himself.

I was helping, clothing, him. I fed him sometimes, showing him love even though he wasn’t related to me. But he was the one, who arranged a gang of criminals to kidnap me.”

Narrating how he was abducted, Alex said he was on his way back from the gym when he was approached by his abductors.

“I alighted from my car to open my gate at Iwofe area, two guys approached me. One of them showed me an ID card claiming to be a naval officer and he called my name first, my phone number, my local government area. He called out all my personal information.

The other person brought out a gun and asked me to go to the back seat of my car while the other one took charge of my driver’s seat.

They drove out of my street and we headed for D/line, where the one driving went into an office, collected some documents and drove to the bank where he performed some transactions.”

He said one of the assailants held him at gunpoint in the back seat throughout the period.

“From there, they drove me down to an unknown area in Oyigbo axis, where they kept me briefly and demanded a ransom of N1.5million. After the negotiations, they said I didn’t come up with a reasonable amount of money. They drove me back to my house in Port Harcourt, where they made away with my television set, emptied my fridge, turned my room inside out.

They left with the things they collected, which are my car, phone, television set, N128,000, and a huge sum of money from my car and headset.

They brought me back the same day. They dropped me at my junction and zoomed off. I think they felt it would be an inconvenience for them to keep me captive. Moreover, they were just two guys.

I was scared for my life. They had a six-round loaded pistol pointed to my waist. They threatened to kill me. Those guys are heartless and wicked.”

He said the two-man gang members were later tracked with the aid of his stolen phone and arrested by the police. He said they confessed that Sugar Gold sent them to kidnap me.

“I felt heartbroken that someone I was assisting to get on his feet turned around to kill me. His people have been begging me to forgive him. I have forgiven him but he needs to suffer the consequences of his action.”

Mompha threatens to sue over allegations of dating crossdresser, Bobrisky

Popular social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha popularly known as Mompha and crossdresser, Bobrisky have been linked together romantically.

This was alleged by Bobrisky’s ex personal assistant, Kyme Oye while responding to questions during a session on her Instagram story.

She claimed that Bobrisky dated Mompha.

However, this did not go down well with Mompha who took to his Instagram page displaying his conversation with the lady and threatening to sue her for defamation of character if she does not debunk the news.

In the screenshots, Mompha denied ever having an affair with Bobrisky.

Alongside screenshots of his chat on his Instagram story, Mompha wrote: “I like big yansh (real woman) pass anything, God forbid bad thing.”

In the past few months, Bobrisky has been parading himself as someone who’s connected to the high class and has made boast of being rich as he displayed wads of Naira on his Instagram page.

He recently threw a lavish birthday party in Lagos which was attended by many celebrities.

It is not sure what his source of income is but the crossdresser has also been accused of buying clothes and gold on credit.
