Actor, Sylvester Stallone’s mother and Celebrity Big Brother star, Jackie Stallone, has passed away at the age of 98.
Frank Stallone, the younger brother to Sylvester, made the announcement on Monday night, saying his mother had died that morning.
In a post shared to Instagram, Frank stated that Jackie ‘died in her sleep as she had wished.’
He wrote: “This morning my brothers and I lost our mother Jackie Stallone. She was the mother to four children, Tommy, Sylvester, Frankie, and my late sister Toni Ann.
“She was a remarkable woman working out every day full of spunk and fearless. She died in her sleep as she had wished. It was hard not to like her, she was very eccentric and flamboyant person. She was born on November 29th 1921 in Washington DC, she lived through prohibition, the depression, and World War II.”
“I would talk to her for hours about the ’20s ’30s and ’40s. It was a history lesson. Her mind was as sharp as a razor till the day she died. She never wore a mask a true revolutionary gal. I guess I’m drowning my emotions in tears and too much vino. But when you’ve known someone for 70 yrs it tough and sad. She had seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.”

Jackie Stallone became well-known in the 1990s for publishing a series of astrology books. She also appeared in the 1980s wrestling program “G.L.O.W.: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling,” and had a brief stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house in the UK in 2005,
She was married three times and had three sons and a daughter.
She shares Sylvester and Frank with late ex-husband Frank Stallone Sr. She is also mother to late actress Toni D’Alto, who passed away in 2012 at the age of 48 after a lengthy cancer battle. She shared Toni with ex-husband Anthony Filiti.

A 7 year old girl reportedly told doctors that she wanted “to die” after being hospitalized for abuse and sexual assault.
According to a Crime Online report published on Sunday September 20, the girl, identified as “Yaz”, was taken to Hospital de Las Margaritas in Pueblo, Mexico in late August, after suffering from internal bleeding, a collapsed lung, burn marks on her back and cigarette burns on her arms and hands.
The girl also showed signs of sexual assault when she was examined by doctors.
“I want to die…I don’t want to go back to my parents so that they keep hitting me,” the girl said, according to a statement from doctors.
According to the Attorney General of the state, her parents, Rafael N. and Alejandra N. were detained on September 3, and have been charged with family violence and child abandonment.
In a police statement it was revealed that the young girl’s uncle is on the run after being accused of sexually assaulting the child.
A neighbor who reportedly witnessed how Yaz was harmed by her parents on at least three occasions took her to the hospital.
In April, this year the young girl had surgery for intestinal damage and was admitted to the hospital in February with cuts on her legs allegedly caused by her parents.
According to reports, in August, doctors did a graft on the burns to the 7-year-olds buttocks that “destroyed part of the muscle.”
News of Yaz’s maltreatment at the hands of her parents comes after her 3-year-old sister died in June due to accidental asphyxiation. Prosecution police says it is seriously considering prosecution options against the parents.
Frida Guerrera, a woman’s rights activist, believes the mother was also a victim of domestic violence and feared for her life.
“If the Puebla authorities had done their job since January, which was the first moment that there were indications that the girl had suffered sexual violence, the girl would not be in the hospital right now, and Mitzi (her little sister) would not be dead,” Guerrera said. “Of course there is institutional responsibility in this.”

Chelsea Cook and ex-husband Travis Cook divorced in January 2018. He began dating Lisa Vilate Williams, 26, but Chelsea Cook was jealous of the relationship, so she killed Lisa in the presence of her own children.
On November 15, 2018, Travis had the twins over at his apartment in Midvale, Utah, the US, and they were making Christmas decorations with Lisa, according to Mirror Online.
Chelsea Cook texted Travis about some cough medicine for one of the children and instructed him to meet her downstairs in the car park.
Travis went down and waited at around 7pm but Chelsea Cook had managed to sneak past him and enter the apartment.
After Travis realised he’d been lured out, he ran upstairs to find Cook confronting Lisa.
Travis asked her several times to leave and when she refused he called 911. Cook than locked herself in the bathroom for about 15 seconds, before coming out.
Cook reached for her coat as though she was going to leave, but instead, she pulled out a handgun and fired two bullets into Lisa in front of the terrified children.
They hit her in the chest and back and she fell back seriously injured onto the sofa. She later died from her wounds.
Cook’s colleagues at Skybridge High School later discovered she had previous charges for assault and domestic violence that she hadn’t disclosed, but the details of these have not been released.
Lisa’s heartbroken mum spoke of her daughter’s “magic” and how she wanted her “amazing and sincere” girl to be remembered for how she lived, not how she was killed.
She described how Lisa would bring ailing plants back to life and how she found joy in every little thing.
Friends described the bank teller as “gentle, loving and generous”. She had moved to Lehi, Utah, in the US, initially to look after a sick relative.
Lisa’s brother Hyrum Williams told Cook: “Because of you, I no longer get to hear her contagious laughter bouncing around the house.
“When you took Lisa’s life, you took a light from this world.”
In February this year, Cook made a deal to avoid facing the death penalty. She pleaded guilty to aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, firearm felonies and committing violent offences in front of children.
She only began to cry when she admitted charges involving violence in front of her children.
Cook made a statement and cried as she apologised to Lisa’s family and admitted the trauma she caused her own young children.
She said: “I was only thinking of myself and the extreme emotional pain I was experiencing.
“I’m so sorry they had to see me shoot and kill Lisa. All she ever did was love them.”
Cook’s mum begged for leniency, insisting her daughter was a loving mum and was experiencing “severe psychiatric distress” at the time.
But the prosecution said that Cook hadn’t simply “snapped” and reminded the court that she had suffered with depression for many years.
The judge sentenced her to 34 years to life in prison, noting how shocked he was at the amount of time Cook had spent talking about herself in papers submitted ahead of the sentencing.

Former Super Eagles and Inter Milan striker, Obafemi Martins, has joined Chinese Super League side, Wuhan FC on a one-year deal.
The 35-year-old joined Wuhan on a free transfer after his mouth watering contract with Shanghai Shenhua, that started in February, was terminated last week.
Reports in China claim Shanghai was not happy with Obafemi’s performances and had to let him go.
Wuhan are currently fourth in the CSL Group B table with 16 points from 11 games.
Wuhan face Chongqing Dangdai Lifan in their next game and Martins should have no problem being in the starting line up. His addition to the Chinese Super League side is expected to add quality and depth to the club’s attacking option.

A woman suspected to have sent an envelope containing the poison ricin, which was addressed to the White House, has been arrested.
Law enforcement officials told The Associated Press on Sunday, September 20, that she was arrested at the New York-Canada border.
The letter had been intercepted last week before it reached the White House. The woman was taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Peace Bridge border crossing near Buffalo and is expected to face federal charges, the officials said. Her name was not immediately released.
The letter addressed to the White House appeared to have originated in Canada, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have said. It was intercepted at a government facility that screens mail addressed to the White House and President Donald Trump and a preliminary investigation indicated it tested positive for ricin, according to the officials who spoke on condition of anonymity since they were not authorised to discuss the ongoing investigation publicly.
There have been several prior instances in which U.S. officials have been targeted with ricin sent through the mail.
A Navy veteran was arrested in 2018 and confessed to sending envelopes to Trump and members of his administration that contained the substance from which ricin is derived. The letters were intercepted, and no one was hurt.
In 2014, a Mississippi man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after sending letters dusted with ricin to President Barack Obama and other officials.

Ozo has become the latest housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house after being put up for possible eviction.
The housemate who was nominated for eviction alongside Laycon, Ozo and Dorathy in the ninth week of the reality show, was evicted after Trickytee was shown the exit door.
Following his eviction, Neo, Nengi, Dorathy, Laycon and Vee are now the housemates who made it to the finale of the reality show.

Trickytee has been evicted from the Big Brother house after being put for possible eviction earlier last week.

The police in Rivers State have arrested two pastors identified as Austin Emmanuel and Peter Davies, for allegedly raping a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
The suspects who are currently being detained at the State Criminal and Intelligence Department SCID, allegedly raped the 27-year-old corps member in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state where she is observing her mandatory one year service.
Narrating her ordeal, the corps member who is from Plateau state, said Austin had invited her to his house on August 29 which coincided with his birthday, adding that the pastor was later joined by Davies. According to her, there was no reason to be suspicious since she has been worshipping in his church for over five months.
She said the pastors asked her to sow her mobile phone as a seed before they started conducting deliverance on her.
The victim said the last thing she could remember on that fateful day was that the suspects robbed her a certain oil while praying for her and she slept off. She said as soon as she woke up the next day, she noticed bruises on the surface and inside her private part.
“Actually, it was after I regained consciousness that I was feeling pain in my vagina. I told my mum and she reported to the police and they said that they should take me to doctors without borders for checkup. I saw bruises seen all over my body.” she told newsmen
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Bonko, have called on the state police command to ensure justice prevails. Her father said he had approached the International Federation of Women Lawyers in the state to ensure the prosecution of the case.
“When I saw her, she was not in her senses. I started asking questions. Then they told me that they have arrested the suspects. I saw the suspects and they told me what happened.
“We took her to a psychiatric hospital. They tested her and did everything. Wherever we went, the NYSC followed us on the matter. An NYSC official reported the issue to the headquarters. If we allow this matter to die, they will do the same thing to other female corps members. That is why I decided to come to FIDA,” he said
Confirming te incident to newsmen, the state Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, said the matter was being investigation.
“Yes, we refer to this issue, but the matter has not reached my desk. I believe it is still under investigation” Mukan said

US Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the firebrand court justice who was known for her legal, cultural and feminist actions while serving in the highest court of the land, died Friday September 18, aged 87 after battling cancer, the Supreme Court has announced.
Justice Ginsburg, nominated into the supreme court by former president Bill Clinton, died from complications from metastatic cancer of the pancreas, the Supreme court said in a statement.
She died at her home in Washington surrounded by family.
“Our nation has lost a justice of historic stature,” Chief Justice John Roberts said in the statement.
“We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her, a tired and resolute champion of justice.”
Known for her legal fight for women’s rights in the 1970s, Ginsburg served 27 years as a Supreme Court Justice. Her death will set in motion a nasty and tumultuous political battle over who will succeed her, as the presidential election nears.
Ginsburg’s death gives Republicans the chance to tighten their grip on the court with another Trump appointment that would give conservatives a 6-to-3 majority meaning that even a defection on the right would leave conservatives with enough votes to prevail in the Obamacare case, Dreamers and many other cases that will be brought to the supreme court this period.

Emirate Airlines has been added to the list of airlines banned from operating in Nigeria by the federal government.
Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika who made the announcement said the ban will be effective from Monday, September 21, 2020.
He tweeted;
“The PTF sub-committee met today with EU Ambassadors to discuss Lufthansa, Air France/KLM ban. The meeting progressed well. Emirates Airlines’ situation was reviewed and they are consequently included in the list of those not approved, with effect from Monday, September 21, 2020.”
Recall that before the resumption of international flights in the country, the Federal Government announced that Air France, KLM, Etihad, RwandAir, Air Namibia, Royal Air Maroc, Lufthansa, TAAG Angola Airlines were not granted approval to commence flight operations.

Greek-Based Nigerian NBA star, Giannis Antetokounmpo who plays for Milwaukee Bucks basketball team in the US, has been named the Most Valuable Player Award for second straight season.
The 25-year-old star becomes the third player in league history to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season, joining only Hall of Famers Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon. He is also the 12th player in history to win the NBA’s MVP award twice in a row.
Antetokounmpo beat out James Harden of the Houston Rockets and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers to win the award.
Antetokounmpo earned 962 total points from a global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters as well as the Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award fan vote. Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James finished in second place with 753 points, while Houston Rockets guard James Harden finished in third place with 367 points.

A schoolgirl has died after allegedly being beaten by her teacher for failing to answer two maths questions correctly.
The 10-year-old girl, identified by her surname Zhang, was a student at a primary school in the city of Guangyuan, central China.
According to the Xinhua News Agency, the teacher, identified by the surname Wang, beat the girl on September 10.
Zhang was beaten on her palms four times and ordered to kneel for four minutes, state-owned newspaper China Daily reports.
Feeling dizzy, she was sent to hospital by her grandmother and the teacher and was pronounced dead later that day at 3.30pm.
She also had her ears pulled and her head beaten, according to the Oriental Daily.
Medical experts found no wounds and an investigation into her death is under way.
The Cangxi county government has set up a task force and the teacher has been suspended from work, along with the school’s principal.
The victim’s grandmother told local media that she had a twin sister who was in the same class. She said Zhang looked close to fainting during the beating.
The grandmother also mentioned that Zhang was scared of her maths teacher, who she claimed often gave corporal punishment to students.

The rap queen who addressed her fans via an Instagram Live video on Friday September 18, had filed for divorce from Offset on Tuesday (September 15) according to documents obtained from Fulton County Magistrate in Georgia.
Cardi in the Instalive session, disclosed that the reason for their split wasn’t because of Offset’s infidelity. She further affirmed that she did not file for divorce as a publicity stunt for her upcoming album.
The rapper said;
“I’ve seen all the love and prayers that you guys have been sending me, however, I don’t really need it. I’m okay. I wanted to let y’all know I have not shed not one tear.

The 23-year-old signed a five-year contract with the Merseyside club to complete a double swoop for the Reds after the £25m signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich on Friday.

A six-year-old girl has reportedly died of COVID-19 just seven days after resuming school.
Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Mohamed Saka, shared the sad story on his Twitter handle. He stated that the little girl contracted the virus when she resumed school and later died from the disease. However did not state where the unfortunate incident happened.

President Donald Trump has approved a deal between TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, and Oracle (ORCL), after threatening to ban the Chinese-owned app which he claims poses a national security threat because of its Chinese ties.
The department of Commerce confirmed in a statement on Saturday evening, September 19, that it would delay an order to remove TikTok from Apple and Google’s US app stores to September 27, giving the companies more time to finalise the details of the deal.
ByteDance will continue to be majority owner of TikTok under the agreement Trump said he approved, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Speaking with reporters at the White House on Saturday, Trump said he had given his “blessing” to a partnership between TikTok and US firms Oracle and Walmart.
“I have given the deal my blessing,” Trump said. “If they get it done, that’s great. If they don’t, that’s okay, too.”
The deal will also include Wal-Mart (WMT), Trump said, adding that “the security will be 100 percent. They’ll be using separate clouds and very, very powerful security.”
Reuters reported that the new company, named TikTok Global, will have a majority of US directors, a US chief executive, and a security expert on the board.
Trump said the deal will also include a $5 billion fund for US education, and that TikTok would be incorporated in Texas as a new company.
“They’re going to be setting up a very large fund,” Trump said. “That’s their contribution that I’ve been asking for.”
TikTok confirmed in a statement that Oracle and Walmart will together hold up to a 20% share.
“As part of this proposal, Oracle will become our trusted technology provider, responsible for hosting all US user data and securing associated computer systems to ensure US national security requirements are fully satisfied,” TikTok said. “We are currently working with Wal-Mart on a commercial partnership as well. Both companies will take part in a TikTok Global pre-IPO financing round in which they can take up to a 20% cumulative stake in the company. We will also maintain and expand TikTok Global’s headquarters in the US, while bringing 25,000 jobs across the country.”
Oracle CEO Safra Catz said in a statement: “As a part of this agreement, TikTok will run on the Oracle Cloud and Oracle will become a minority investor in TikTok Global,” said Oracle CEO Safra Catz. “Oracle will quickly deploy, rapidly scale, and operate TikTok systems in the Oracle Cloud. We are a hundred percent confident in our ability to deliver a highly secure environment to TikTok and ensure data privacy to TikTok’s American users, and users throughout the world. This greatly improved security and guaranteed privacy will enable the continued rapid growth of the TikTok user community to benefit all stakeholders.”
Walmart also confirmed the deal in a statement and revealed that Wal-Mart CEO Doug McMillon would serve on its five-member board.
“We are excited about our potential investment in and commercial agreements with TikTok Global,” Wal-Mart said in a statement, adding it will also “enter into commercial agreements to provide our ecommerce, fulfillment, payments and other omnichannel services to TikTok Global.”

A package containing ricin poison that was addressed to US President Donald Trump was reportedly intercepted by law enforcement this week.
The letter was discovered at a screening facility for White House mail earlier this week, a U.S. official familiar with the matter said on Saturday, September 19.
The official said a substance found inside the envelope was identified as ricin, a poison found naturally in castor beans before it was to be delivered to the White House.
According to CNN, investigators are looking into the possibility the ricin package sent to Trump came from Canada.
Mary-Liz Power, chief spokeswoman for Canada’s Minister of Public Safety Bill Blair, said in a statement, “We are aware of the concerning reports of packages containing ricin directed toward US federal government sites. Canadian law enforcement is working closely with their US counterparts. As this is an active investigation we cannot comment further.”
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Secret Service are investigating to find out who sent the package and whether others have been sent through the US postal system.
“The FBI and our U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Postal Inspection Service partners are investigating a suspicious letter received at a U.S. government mail facility. At this time, there is no known threat to public safety,” the FBI’s Washington field office said in a statement to CNN.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said they are working with the FBI to investigate the “suspicious letter sent to the White House”.
Ricin is a lethal substance that, if swallowed, inhaled or injected, can cause nausea, vomiting, internal bleeding, and ultimately organ failure.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), if a person is exposed to ricin, death can take place within 36 to 72 hours, depending on the dose received.

US President, Donald Trump, has called mail-in voting a “scam” during a press conference on Friday September 17, blasting the voting system in which states send mail-in ballots directly to voters due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
More than half of all Americans are expected to vote through the mail this presidential election, though over 40 percent of Americans voted by mail in the 2016 and 2012 general elections, according to the Election Assistance Commission.
Several states, including Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, automatically send out mail-in ballots to all state residents for the general election.
But due to the Coronavirus pandemic, California, Nevada, New Jersey, Vermont, and Washington D.C. will automatically mail out ballots to all residents for the 2020 election.
“They’re sending out tens of millions of ballots to everybody, people that didn’t expect them. People are getting inundated with ballots, they’ll be showered with ballots,” Trump said Friday.
“Everybody in this room knows it’s a scam,” the president continued, gesturing to the White House press pool. “They are never going to be able to count them.”
It’s a disaster, everyone knows it,” Trump told reporters before adding that the U.S. Postal Service was not to blame for the 2020 primary election mishaps, when hundreds of thousands of ballots went uncounted .
“Where are these ballots going? Who’s sending them? Who’s signing them?” Trump asked, attempting to show why he thinks voting through the mail is insecure.
“I think it’s going to be a terrible time for this country and we are counting on federal judges to do a great constitutional job.”
Recently, Trump cynically stated that 80 million Americans would receive mail-in ballots as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, a figure he alleges will invalidate the 2020 election results.

Hip Hop mogul and producer, Dr Dre’s estranged wife, Nicole has stated that Dre secretly transferred valuable assets like his stage name and “The Chronic” to himself recently after they split in order to avoid losing them to her when their divorce battle started.
But Dre and his management have debunked her story calling them “ridiculous” and an attempt to embarrass him into submission.
Dre and Nicole have been in the middle of a messy divorce battle where she is asking for almost $2 million a month in spousal support after finding out she can’t get half of his properties and wealth because she signed a prenup agreement.
Nicole says she signed the prenup under duress and that Dre ripped it up several years into the marriage, actions Dre strongly denies .
Nicole Young, in new legal documents claims Dre created a solely-owned, brand new holding company and transferred into it what she claims is joint property — trademarks for “Dr. Dre” and “The Chronic.” Nicole says it’s a blatant attempt to hide assets that are community property.”
According to Nicole’s legal docs, she says Dre transferred the trademarks after he allegedly kicked her out of their home and before he threatened on June 27, 2020 to divorce her.

A three-story building belonging to a private school in the Ejigbo area in Lagos state collapsed on Saturday, September 19.
The affected school, Excel College, which is located at 15, Ansarudeen Street, Ile-Epo Bus-Stop, collapsed at about 8.15 am. So far, there are no reports of casualties recorded.
According to eyewitnesses, the privately-owned building belonging to Excel College had previously shown signs of distress and the school was planning to renovate the structure before the collapse.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state has granted approval for churches and mosques in the state as well as gyms and cinermas to resume full services.
He announced the approval at a press briefing on Saturday September 19. He said mosques can hold their prayers five times daily while churches can also commence weekly services.
Worship centers were restricted to one gathering weekly after they were allowed to reopen following lockdown to check coronavirus in the nation.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also announced that public and private schools can resume fully on Monday, September 21, 2020.
The governor also announced that cinemas, gyms, spas and recreational centres in the state can now reopen for business at 33 percent capacity which is one-third of their capacity.

“If they have gotten safety protocol clearance, from tomorrow, Sunday, they can resume.

The first picture of a murder victim whose body was found on fire on a south London street has been released by police.
Officers were called to Commonside East in Mitcham at 6.12am on Thursday, September 17, to reports of a “man on fire”, the Metropolitan Police said. When police arrived at the scene, they found the body of a man who they declared dead at the scene.
Murder detectives have now identified the man as 23-year-old Loeike Guei, who lived in Thornton Heath.
His death is being treated as “suspicious”, police said, as homicide detectives continue to investigate how the 23-year-old died, a post-mortem examination gave the preliminary cause of death as a head injury.
Metropolitan Police said no arrests have been made and a crime scene remains in place as the Specialist Crime Command investigates.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the investigation, said: “Loeike’s family have been intensely shocked by the loss of their loved one and are at the very beginning of coming to terms with their grief.”
He added: “We are in the initial stages of our investigation and are keeping an open mind with regards any motive. We are making good progress, following a number of leads and have spoken to a number of people already.
“What I need now is for anyone who has not spoken to us yet but have seen any suspicious activity or vehicles in the vicinity to make contact with us immediately.
“You may have information that may seem insignificant but could prove crucial to our investigation.”
“I urge you to contact us immediately, or tell us what you know via Crimestoppers if you wish. What matters most is that you make the call. Loeike’s family are traumatised and we need the support of the public in bringing them justice.”

Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Nengi has accused fellow Housemate, Ozo, of masturbating after claiming that she saw semen stains on his duvet.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up from the 31st to 29th position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings.
In the latest rankings released by the football governing body on Thursday, Nigeria got 1493 points and are now third in Africa, with Senegal (20th) and Tunisia (26th) in first and second respectively.
Algeria (35), Morocco (43), Ghana (46), Egypt (51), Cameroon (53), Mali (57) and DR Congo (57) make up the top 10 rankings of African teams.
Nigeria’s last international game was a 4-2 away win against Lesotho in the 2021 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers, played in November 2019.
Belgium is still number one in the world FIFA ranking, followed by France, Brazil, and England respectively.

Georgian police have arrested the vice-president of the country’s rugby union, Merab Beselia, over the shooting of player Ramaz Kharazishvili.
Kharazishvili, 32, the former captain of the Georgian national Sevens team, was shot in the leg at the offices of the sport’s governing body in the capital Tbilisi on Wednesday, September 16.
The athlete was taken to a hospital, where he underwent surgery after sustaining a bullet wound to his shin.
‘Kharazishvili received injuries to his leg. His life is not in danger. All employees of the Rugby Union are cooperating with the police’, Tornike Gogebashvili, acting president of the Rugby Union told 1TV.ge.
Local media said the shooting occurred after a dispute between Beselia and Kharazishvili, who is said to be a vocal critic of the Georgian Rugby Union (GRU).
Georgian police are investigating the illegal purchase, possession, and carrying of a firearm and damage to health in the shooting.
The incident comes as Georgia prepare to compete at the Autumn Nations Cup 2020.
It was reported that 32 Georgian rugby clubs recently accused Interim of sabotaging efforts to create a taskforce to deal with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sport.
They also have criticised the GRU over how it spent state funding and the organisation’s inabilty to hold an election for a new president, having failed to hire one since January due to internal disputes.

Authorities in Uganda have launched a manhunt to recapture more than 200 prisoners who escaped from jail after stealing weapons and fled to the north-eastern part of the country.
The jailbreak occurred on Wednesday afternoon, September 16, near the army barracks in the district of Moroto in northeast Uganda.
The country’s prison commissioner, Johnson Byabashaija told AFP on Thursday September 16, that the inmates overpowered their guards and escaped with weapons in after a shootout.
“The prisoners seized guns from the armoury at a government prison in Moroto, about 460km from Kampala, before dashing for the cover of nearby mountains,” said the commissioner.
“About 215 inmates are still on the run. Uganda’s prison service, working with the police and the army with support from ground and air assets, have been deployed to rearrest the inmates,” he said.
“There is concern that some guns are in the wrong hands, but these will be recaptured. We have enough forces on the ground and helicopters to track them. The public is advised to stay calm,” said Byabashaija.
“One inmate was shot during the escape, three others were recaptured, but the rest are at large, having escaped towards Mount Moroto where our operation is focusing at the moment.”
Some of the inmates had shed their bright yellow jumpsuits to avoid aerial detection and were on foot half-naked, prison spokesman Frank Baine added
Mr.Baine described the jailbreak as “one of the rarest cases of its kind in the history of Uganda’s Prison Service”.

A Kenyan woman, Jackline Njoki Mwangi has revealed that she knowingly infected men with HIV to punish them for not using protection.
Mwangi, also known as Kiki wa Ng’endo, was first diagnosed with HIV as a teenager after sleeping with men for money to take care of herself and her nephew. This was after her mother left her and her sister in the care of their aunt to go and work in the United States.
The 36-year-old, who made the startling revelation on Thursday September 17, in an interview with Kenya’s online news portal, TUKO, justified her action saying she picked the disease from an infected person who also did not care to warn her.
Mwangi said it was her sexual partners’ responsibilities to protect themselves and not hers.
“At the end of the day, I can not be your keeper. You know you do not know me. I am not related to you yet you want to have sex with me, why don’t you wear a condom or take a test with me if I am comfortable and if I am not, ask me to wear a condon?” she posed.
Kiki further revealed she decided to go public with her status because she wanted men to stop approaching her for sex after she developed complications in her private parts.
According to her, the condition has made her lose interest in sex after 18 years of selling her body to sexually hungry men for money.
She also wanted to warn men against sleeping with every woman they come across, create awareness and ask her family to stop insulting her every other time.
She blamed her woes on her mother who she claimed despised and mistreated her after she left the country to work in the US.
According to Kiki, her mother would send money to their aunt but she never took care of them and when their mother learned of her new escapades, she mistreated her till date.
She had to drop out of high school and when her uncle tried talking her into going back to school, that was when she tested positive for HIV.
“It was heartbreaking, I stayed without taking medication but was just pushing on with life. At some point I went upcountry and came back to Nairobi and that was when I attempted suicide,” she said.
Kiki now decries being abandoned by both her family and friends who know about her status. The stigmatisation she faced has left her depressed and emotionally drained.

Buratai says troops have been dealing decisively with the criminals.
Boko Haram terrorists have largely operated in the northern region for the past 11 years, killing tens of thousands and displacing millions of residents.
The activities of bandits have also increased over the years with armed gunmen killing over 1000 people in rural villages in the north between January and July 2020 alone, according to Amnesty International.
While speaking at an Osun State Government House banquet on Monday, September 14, 2020, Buratai said troops have been dealing decisively with the criminals to restore peace in troubled regions.
In response to a concern earlier raised by a former COAS and Chief of Defence Staff, Lt-Gen Alani Akinrinade (rtd), at the banquet, Buratai said the activities of the bandits, which have affected farmers, won’t cause a famine in the country as speculated.
“I just left the North West where Exercise Sahel Sanity is ongoing and many farmers have so far returned to their farms.
“Our troops are providing security to farmers and the bandits are being dealt with decisively.
“From all indications we are expecting a bumper havest this year,” he was quoted to have said by Army spokesperson, Colonel Sagir Musa, in a statement on Friday, September 18.
Akinrinade had earlier directed Buratai to speak to President Muhammadu Buhari about the pervasive public perception he’s an ‘ethnic bigot’ and ‘irredeemable religious fundamentalist’ promoting the possibility of his ethnic Fulani taking over the country.
He said the public perception also persists that the president has performed woefully in the fight against the Boko Haram terrorists, and called on him to read the riot act against the perpetrators of mischief.
In response, Buratai blamed social media for ‘spreading falsehood and fake news’ about the achievements of troops and Buhari’s administration, noting that enemies of the country were projecting false perceptions.
He said statesmen of Akinrinade’s caliber must always verify information before making conclusions on them.

Police spokesperson Captain Khaya Tonjeni, said Bambore lured the girl into a bedroom where he raped her on 11 March last year.
“A 36-year-old customer entered the shop and saw Bambore appearing from the bedroom while pulling up his pants. The 5-year-old also appeared from the bedroom with him,” said Tonjeni.
“The customer then immediately called a 29-year-old fellow Phakamisa resident and they took the child to her mother. The child then disclosed to her mother what had occurred,” National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Anelisa Ngcakani said.
State advocate Linda Jekwa asked the Eastern Cape High Court in Bhisho to not deviate from the prescribed minimum sentence of life imprisonment for the rape.
“I’m requesting for the court to send out a strong message that such offences will not be tolerated and that the accused should be sentenced to life imprisonment.”
Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, advocate Chanzelle de Kock, said: “I am pleased with the sentence as this will confirm the strong message from the courts that violence against women, and especially our children, will not be tolerated.”
Eastern Cape police commissioner Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga added: “As a province we are concerned about regular reports of adult men forcing themselves on young children. We are grateful for the outcome of the good working relationship between our detectives, the courts and the prosecuting authority.”

Former President Barack Obama’s long-awaited presidential memoir is coming this November.
The former US President made the book announcement on Instagram on Thursday morning. He said the book will be released on November 17.
The book is titled “A Promised Land – The Presidential Memoirs, Vol. 1.”

The Kogi state government has written the United States Government over the electoral fraud allegation levelled against it and visa ban to politicians accused of masterminding electoral violence in the state.
The Yahaya Bello-led administration justified its win in the governorship election by pointing out that opposition parties failed to prove they won the election in all courts the case went through.
The Kogi state government who noted that it is not challenging the visa ban in any way, however protested against US’ “collateral and unwarranted interference in its political and social processes.”

1. I have been so directed by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and I hereby make and forward this Letter of Protest to you in respect of the matters contained in it.
2. The Kogi State Government became aware of a United States Government list of individuals who received US visa restrictions for alleged electoral malpractices via a Press Statement to that effect posted on your Embassy website at https://bit.ly/32vD96M. In your own words, the still unnamed individuals are cited as guilty of ‘acts of violence, intimidation, or corruption that harmed Nigerians and undermined the democratic process.’ They are also alleged to ‘have operated with impunity at the expense of the Nigerian people and undermined democratic principles and human rights.’
3. You also noted in the Statement that the sanctions are derived from unspecified misconducts by the said individuals which extend from the February/March 2019 General Elections in Nigeria through the off-cycle November 2019 gubernatorial elections in Kogi and Bayelsa to the as yet unheld governorship contests in Edo and Ondo States. Please note that for the purposes of this protest letter we are only interested in the citations to the extent that they are referable to Kogi State and her citizens.
4. For the most part, we concede that elections in Nigeria are complex affairs which will continue to require improvements for the foreseeable future. The 2019 Kogi State Gubernatorial Election was also not without its challenges. However, it is also crystal clear from critical and composite analyses of the records (official, media, observers, etc) of the November 16, 2020 polls that regrettable incidents were limited to a few polling units, while the overwhelmingly larger portions of the ballot were free, fair and credible.
5. Further, and in line with Nigerian law, the few political parties and individuals who alleged widespread electoral malpractices had free rein to contest the outcome in court. They vigorously litigated their claims over a grueling 9-month period, through a 3-step hierarchy of courts, to the inescapable conclusion at the Supreme Court of Nigeria that the said elections satisfactorily complied with the Nigerian Constitution and the Electoral Act.
6. Our concern right now is not the prerogative of the United States of America to impose entry restrictions on anyone, for any or no reason at all, which prerogative remains unfettered, but the room for atrocious misinformation which the timing of your Press Statement and the mention of the Kogi elections therein has created in our state.
7. For the February and March 2019 General elections, your advisory came out in July 2019, long before the Supreme Court delivered her judgments in the petitions against those elections, including challenges to President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection. The presumption is that in spite of your intervention, the Supreme Court still discovered no merit in the petitions and dismissed them accordingly.
8. In our case, ie, Kogi State, you made the tactical decision to release the update shortly after the Supreme Court delivered judgments in the 4 petitions which made it before her. Amongst a plethora of well-reasoned pronouncements the Apex Court dismissed the said petitions for failing to prove their allegations and for having no ‘scintilla of merit’. The inference from your timing is that the judgment is somehow tainted and did not meet the justice of the case, thereby casting aspersions, not only on the Nigerian Judiciary, but on the second term mandate freely bestowed on His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello by the good people of Kogi State.
9. We find this unacceptable, and we protest your presumption. The least you could have done, if indeed this is about democracy and human rights as claimed, is create room, no matter how slim, for fair hearing. As it is now, partisan speculation as to who is indicted, who is not and for what, has become cudgels, furiously swung in the media space by all comers. Your action has therefore added abundant grist to the rumour mills and electrified the merchants of fake news.

For instance, a United States based blog, saharareporters.com, has made inflammatory publications in which they named His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, among others, as a definite recipient of your visa restriction. Though you have named no names, accuracy is of no moment to them, just base political expediency, and they quote unnamed US State Department sources to give credibility to what is otherwise unproven.
11. Also, other players in the Kogi political space, including candidates and officials of opposition political parties which lost the elections and could not prove their allegations in court as aforesaid have now latched onto this action, holding media conferences and making press releases, claiming that the United States has justified their wild allegations and conspiracy theories where the courts and the administrative quarters failed. This is utterly regrettable.
12. Let it be noted that we are not challenging your visa bans in any way, whoever they may affect and for how long, but we do register the strongest protest possible as a State to the collateral and unwarranted interference in our political and social processes which it represents. You have reignited already dying embers of discord around the February/March General Elections and the November 16 Kogi State Gubernatorial Elections of 2019. This has invariably made our usual post-election duty of reconciliation with fair-minded political opponents all the more harder. We are hurt and disappointed.
13. Digressing a little beyond Kogi State to our contiguous states of Edo and Ondo, we wish to advice generally that by so preemptively interfering in their elections, both of which are yet to hold, events on ground since your publication indicate that the United States has foisted on our political process, not the expected caution or good behaviour by politicians which may have been your intent, but further calcification of hardened attitudes, more violent polemics, and increased sabre-rattling.
14. Even now every camp is trying to spin your action as evidence of US support for themselves and hostility to their opponents. Everyone involved in those elections is now stoked with an aura of invincibility and hellbent on displaying all manners of outrageousness on election day to prove their opponents the aggressors. After all, with sanctions looming over everyone like the Sword of Damocles, every stakeholder, including the security agencies are on tenterhooks and less likely to be lively. We fear you may have done our democracy more harm than good with this action, and we consider it most unfortunate indeed.
15. In conclusion, we believe that if the United States of America, despite her commanding heights and much longer experience as the acclaimed Bastion of Democracy in the world, is still locked in a fight to defend the integrity of her own electoral processes to this very day, then she ought to accord greater empathy, more civility and much less disruption, to nascent democracies.

North Korea dictator, Kim Jong-un, is set to unveil new weapons including a submarine-launched ballistic nuclear missile in the coming weeks, according to military and weapons analysts.
There have been fears within the US and ally South Korea that North Korean troops have been practising for a military parade to celebrate the anniversary of the ruling Workers’ Party next month as images taken through Satellite early this month showed people assembled in formation ahead of the 75th anniversary of North Korea’s main party, the Workers’ Party.
North Korea military analysts believe the 75th anniversary may be used to showcase the country’s new missiles.
Also there has been increased activity at the Sinpo South Shipyard weapons base where submarines are built, according to satellite photos.
The activity was also seen at a secure basin where a barge used in previous underwater missile launches is docked.
The Centre for Strategic and International Studies in the US has now revealed that the satellite imagery is “suggestive, but not conclusive, of preparations for an upcoming test of a Pukguksong-3 submarine launched ballistic missile from the submersible test stand barge.”
Won In-choul, the nominee for chairman of South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, reacting to the developments, said : “We’re monitoring developments, as there is a possibility that a submarine-launched ballistic missile test will be conducted there using ejection equipment shortly after the repair is done.”
Daily NK, a Seoul-based website that reports on North Korea, also wrote a report saying an unnamed source that stays near the shipyard said the site “is bustling with activity to prepare for the ballistic missile launch.”
A US-based think tank also reported that imagery showed “heavy activity” at the shipyard, but that “no other indicators of launch preparations were observed.”
Senior researchers at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, believe the work being done around the site could just be repairs after North Korea’s recent tests but they believe the North could carry out a submarine-launched ballistic missile test once repairs are complete.
Last October, North Korea said it had successfully test-fired a Pukguksong-3.Experts say old North Korean underwater-launched missile tests were conducted from a submersible barge with a launch tube, not a fully-fledged submarine.
Seoul’s unification minister Lee In-young said this week: “I hope that communication channels, including the inter-Korean liaison office, can be restored and we can resume open-minded dialogue at an early date.”

Premier League champions, Liverpool, have completed the signing of midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich for £25million.
The Spain international midfielder, 29, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal and will wear the vacant No 6 shirt for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

A video shared online has shown moment a businessman was kidnapped by some gunmen in Fordsburg, Johannesburg.
In the video shared by South African journalist Yusuf Abramjee, a man wearing a dark jacket was seen being taken out his vehicle by two assailants clad in white. They moved him towards another vehicle and made sure they all got in.
The kidnapped man has been identified as Hamza Khan. He is said to be the son of Riaz Khan, owner of Khan’s Meat in Mayfair.

A 19-year-old woman has died after being gang-raped by at least 11 men and thrown from the sixth floor of a building.
Hamdi Mohamed Farah was lured to meet a male friend on Friday last week, September 11, but was attacked by a group of men in Mogadishu, Somalia.
11 arrests have been made so far and police say they are still trying to identify other suspects.
Student Hamdi had been set to enrol in college and her death has sparked huge protests around the country.
In a statement, police said: “We have arrested 11 people over the recent rape case in Wabari neighbourhood in Mogadishu and efforts to track and identify other suspects are ongoing.”
According to local media, Hamdi left her home at midday after arranging to meet a friend.
Her family later received a heartbreaking phone call informing them that her body was in a morgue.
MP Mustaf Sheikh Ali Duhulow told reporters: “The rape and killing of Hamdi sent shockwaves across Somalia, and no stone will be left unturned to ensure justice is served.”
Fellow MP Hassan Moalim added: “I want to tell the Somali people and my constituents that I will not rest until the late Hamdi gets the justice she deserves.”
Demonstrators say not enough is being done to tackle violence against women in Somalia.
Abdirahman Abdisahur, leader of the Wadajir Party, tweeted: “We have to collectively confront this kind of crime and reject it with one voice.”
Bilan Bile, of the Somali National Women’s Organisation (SNWO) told the Nation that a new campaign will be launched in the aftermath of the killing.
She said: “Our campaign will be designed like the universal “Me Too movement.
“We will encourage Somali women to shed the negative attitude of seeing rape as an unmentionable occurrence.”

A Kentucky man has been charged in connection with the gruesome murder of his girlfriend who was dismembered before her body parts were hauled in suitcases all the way to south suburban Markham.
Police said Melvin Martin Jr., 30, who was initially charged as a fugitive took his girlfriend’s remains on a Greyhound bus to visit family in Markham, traveling more than five hours with the body parts to the Chicago Greyhound station at 630 W. Harrison St.
Markham spokesman, Michael Taylor said in a statement that Martin was arrested on Monday at the Markham Public Library after curious family members made the discovery.
The spokesman said some parts of the woman’s body were found in Illinois, while the other half was found in Kentucky.
‘A severed head and other body parts were found in the bags, while police in Kentucky found the woman’s torso,’ he said.
‘Martin had been staying with family for about a week, and family members became curious after he asked them on at least two occasions to purchase clothing for him despite arriving on a Greyhound bus in Chicago toting the bags’.
‘Martin eventually moved the two bags to the home’s garage, and the family made the discovery after Martin had left for the library,’ Taylor added.
Detectives believe the girlfriend was killed at least 30 days ago with Markham Police Chief Terry White saying the woman’s death could be the result of a domestic dispute that occurred about a month ago.
When asked by police why he brought his girlfriend’s remains to Illinois, Martin Jr. delivered a shocking reply.
“He indicated that, as grotesque as it might sound, that he still wanted to be with at least part of her,” said Markham police Chief.

Governor Babagana Zulum has raised an alarm of children being recruited into the Boko Haram terrorist group.
The Governor said this while receiving a committee of members of the House Of Representatives at his office in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
Zulum who linked the recruitment of kids into the terrorist group to the high rate of unemployment in the state, also revealed that there are more than 700,000 Internally Displaced Persons in Monguno and another 400,000 in Gamboru Ngala without access to their farmlands.
He said;
“The only solution we have now is to ensure the safe return of our people to their homes in a dignified manner. If nothing is done believe me sincerely we shall face a very serious challenge even more than what we are facing now.
“This is because right now the insurgents are recruiting many of our children into the sect because of the increasing unemployment rate.”
The Borno state government suggested that the solution to this problem is to shift from short term Humanitarian support to longer-term development and sustainable solution with the safe return of internally displaced persons to their communities.

The Department of Commerce has announced that TikTok and WeChat will be banned from app stores in the U.S. from Sunday, September 20, amid national security concerns.
In a press release on Friday September 18, the department stated: ‘In response to President Trump’s Executive Orders signed August 6, 2020, the Department of Commerce (Commerce) today announced prohibitions on transactions relating to mobile applications (apps) WeChat and TikTok to safeguard the national security of the United States. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has demonstrated the means and motives to use these apps to threaten the national security, foreign policy, and the economy of the U.S. Today’s announced prohibitions, when combined, protect users in the U.S. by eliminating access to these applications and significantly reducing their functionality.

The statement further says that as of September 20 for WeChat and November 12 for TikTok, the following transactions will be prohibited:
These measures ensure TikTok and WeChat will be removed from iOS and Google Play starting Sunday, preventing users from downloading the apps or updating them in the future.
It was also stated that TikTok has until November 12 to resolve the national security concerns it poses. If this is done, the ban may be lifted.
President Trump has repeatedly said that TikTok, which is owned by the Chinese internet company ByteDance, poses a national security threat because of its Chinese ties. He advised that TikTok’s US operations be sold to an American company.
The new development comes days after American computer technology giant, Oracle Corporation reportedly won the bidding for TikTok’s US operations after the Chinese app rejected Microsoft.

The Queen of England has stripped Harvey Weinstein of his 2004 Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire honor (CBE), for contribution to the British film industry, after he was convicted of rape in New York.
The disgraced film producer, 68, was sentenced to 23 years in prison by a US court in February.
A notice in The Gazette, the UK’s official public record, today announced the Queen had directed the honour to be ‘cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order.’
It read: ‘The Queen has directed that the appointment of Harvey Weinstein to be an Honorary Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, dated January 19 2004, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order.’
Before now, Senior Labour MP Chi Onwurah called for the CBE to be removed from Weinstein, when several women came forward to allege serious sexual misconduct.
More than 80 women including actresses, Ashley Judd, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Léa Seydoux made harassment claims against Weinstein before he was convicted.

A soldier allegedly shot a 27-year-old man in South Africa during an argument over why he was not wearing a face mask in line with Covid-19 regulations.
Police spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo, who confirmed the report on Friday, said the incident happened at a shopping complex in Mogwadi, Limpopo, on Thursday, September 17.
“Members of the national defence force were reportedly on duty monitoring Covid-19 compliance in the area when they approached a group of people who were not wearing face masks,” Mojapelo said on Friday.
“When asked why they were not wearing masks, an argument allegedly ensued and one of the soldiers shot the victim. The injured 27-year-old man was rushed to hospital.
“The soldier, aged 29, was arrested and charged with attempted murder,” said Mojapelo.
The soldier is due to appear in the Morebeng magistrate’s court on Friday.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna has signed into law the new State Penal Code (Amendment) Law 2020, which stipulates surgical castration and removal of Fallopian tubes for any male or female found guilty of raping a child in the state.
Recall that the state House of Assembly recently amended Section 258 of the Penal Code Law No. 5 of Kaduna State 2017, with the following provisions
“Whoever commits rape of a child below the age of fourteen (14) years shall on conviction, be punished with Surgical Castration and death.
“Whoever has sexual intercourse with a male child below the age of fourteen years shall be punished with surgical castration and death.
“Where a female adult is convicted for the offence of rape of a child, the Court shall punish the accused with Bilateral Salpingectomy and death.
“Where the victim is above fourteen years, the Court shall on conviction sentence the accused with a punishment of surgical castration and life imprisonment.
“Where the convict is a child, the Court shall order as appropriate under the Children and Young Person Law Cap 26 Laws of Kaduna State 1991.
“Where the victim is a child, the Court shall in addition to the conviction, order that the convict be listed in the Sex Offenders Register to be published by the Attorney General.
“Where the Court is trying the offence of rape involving a child below the age of fourteen years, corroboration of a medical report shall be necessary.”
The governor received the amended penal code and signed it into law on Wednesday, September 16.
Following the alarming rate of rape cases in the state, the governor called for stiffer penalties for convicts, saying that they may assault more persons if they are sent to prison and released after completing their jail terms.
“In addition to life imprisonment or 21 years’ imprisonment, anyone convicted of rape will have his organ surgically removed so that even after he finishes his term, he will not be able to rape anyone again.
So long as the tool exists, there is the likelihood that he may go back to do it again. Most of the perpetrators are young people, so even after 21 years, they can come back and continue.”he said

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has reacted to sentencing of 13-year-old Umar Farouq to 10 years in prison for blasphemy.
Umar was handed the jail sentence by Aliyu Kanu, the same judge who passed a death sentence on Kano musician Yahaya Sharif-Aminu for blasphemy, after being found guilty of using “disparaging language on Allah” during a disagreement with his friend.
Peter Hawkins, UNICEF representative in Nigeria who released a statement condemning the court sentence, insisted that it contradicts the United Nations convention on the rights of the child which Nigeria ratified in 1991. He also called on the Kano state government to urgently reverse the sentencing.
The statement read;
“The sentencing of this child –13-year-old Omar Farouk to 10 years in prison with menial labour is wrong.
“It also negates all core underlying principles of child rights and child justice that Nigeria and by implication, Kano State – has signed on to.
“The sentence is in contravention of the United Nations convention on the rights of the child, which Nigeria ratified in 1991. It is also a violation of the African charter on the rights and welfare of the child – which Nigeria ratified in 2001, and Nigeria’s Child Rights Act 2003, which domesticates Nigeria’s international obligations to protect children’s right to life, survival and development.”

The LFP Disciplinary Committee in France has revealed punishment for the players involved in the mass brawl that overshadowed Paris Saint-Germain’s clash with Marseille last weekend.
Neymar was one of five players sent off after a fight broke out between Argentine pair Dario Benedetto and Leandro Paredes and then extended to other players at the end of PSG’s shock 1-0 defeat to Marseille last Sunday.
On Wednesday, September, 16, the French football governing announced PSG full-back, Layvin Kurzawa, has been slapped with a six-game ban for his role after he kicked Jordan Amavi.
Amavi was slapped with a three-match ban with Marseille team-mate Dario Benedetto receiving a one-match ban.
Brazilian striker, Neymar, who was caught by VAR hitting Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez during the clash, received a two-match ban with a suspended sentence with Leandro Paredes handed the same punishment.
Neymar accused Gonzalez of racially abusing him during the clash. He claimed Alvaro called him a ‘monkey son of a b****’, but Gonzalez has since denied the claims.
The LFP will investigate those allegations against the Spanish defender, and also look into claims filed by Marseille that PSG star Angel Di Maria spat at Gonzalez.

Proscribed group, Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), has bashed Pete Edochie after the veteran Nollywood actor raised alarm early this week alleging his life was being threatened after photos and video clips circulated, showing him playing a role that seemed like that of Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of the IMN, who has been held in detention by the Nigerian Army since December 2015.
In the yet to be released movie produced by Anosike Kingsley Orji, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria was reportedly depicted as a terrorist organisation.
According to IMN, the movie titled “Fatal Arrogance” was sponsored by the “Nigerian Army to cover up the alleged December 2015 massacre of Shiites by soldiers where 348 people were allegedly killed.”
Early this week, following backlash of the movie by IMN members, Pete Edochie claimed his life was being threatened.
“I don’t understand what the IMN is driving at. The film we shot is not even out, it has not been edited, the production is not complete” Edochie said in the interview released by Sahara Reporters.
“If they have complained to the Inspector-General of Police, and the IGP says give me a copy of the film, what are we going to do because the film is not in existence yet, it is not in circulation.
“I am supposed to have played a role that ridiculed their boss, chief, whoever is in charge of their group.
“I am suggesting that you wait, keep your gunpowder dry, when the film is released, you can now make your grumbles known to the Inspector-General of Police.
“Whatever is being done now is premature, it is not proper.
“Fatal Arrogance, whatever it is, whatever it deals with, I think the best thing to do is to wait until the production comes out.”
“I did not write it, the film was produced by Kingsley Orji Anosike. If you want to express resentment over the production, which you have not watched, direct your grievances to the producer of the film not to Pete Edochie who is a mere actor, it does not concern me.
“I thank all those people who out of concern informed me of the campaign of deliberation of my person, the organised threat of my person by IMN, I thank you all. I’m a free born of Nigeria, I was born and raised in Nigeria. I’m not going to run away from Nigeria because a few individuals think they want things done in their own way.”
The IMN have now responded, saying Pete Edochie allowed himself ‘to be used’ and should stop wailing as he wasn’t threatened. The group blasted the actor for his portrayal of shiites in the soon to be released movie.
The IMN also claimed the movie was similar to a book written by Kuanum Terrence, a ‘military apologist’.
Reacting in a statement by Ibrahim Musa, its spokesperson, the IMN said the ace actor attempted to give IMN a bad name by attracting “cheap sympathy” from Nigerians with his narrative.
The sect also said that Edochie’s explanation was “inexplicable, his reasons flawed and his excuses unimpressive, irrational, and at best absurd”.
“The petition written by the IMN to the Inspector General of Police and the Film’s Censors Board doesn’t threaten anyone’s life. Issuing of threats has never been in our character,” the statement read.
“Pete Edochie should be honourable enough to accept that he allowed himself to be used to further vilify victims of one of the worst state-sponsored massacres of its citizens. He could still redeem his name as other actors in the ill-fated film are doing.
“If Edochie has any character as he claims, he would not have accepted to act any role in a film that seems to change the narrative and distort history based on a book distorting facts! If he had any integrity, he would not have accepted to appear in a movie tarnishing the image of an oppressed personality like Sheikh Zakzaky and still think he did nothing wrong because the Sheikh was not mentioned by name.
“Any serious artist worth the name must, first of all, undertake some kind of serious research to get the facts of any script brought to him right.
“Had he been bold enough to cross-check, he would have realized that genocide took place in Zaria in 2015 where over a thousand Nigerian lives were wasted by the sponsors of the film.
“He would have come across the very many attempts by the perpetrators to hide these heinous crimes, firstly by the burial of their victims in mass graves, an internationally recognized crime…
“He would have realized the matter is currently a subject of investigation by the International Criminal Court (ICC). The script before him is a continuation of that desperate attempt to distort facts.”
The IMF has petitioned the Films and Censorship Board as well as the Inspector-General of police over the movie.

An incestuous mother who was jailed for 155 years for sexually abusing a five-year-old girl in a bath has admitted further child sex charges.
Elizabeth Haway, 43, was convicted of seven sexual assault charges and incest at a court in Bluefield, West Virginia, in December 2019 and was sentenced to 155 years in prison.
During a court hearing earlier this month, she admitted sharing images of the abuse with another pervert. She pleaded guilty to sending clips of the abuse to Facebook pedophile Randall Peggs, from nearby Wheeling.
The pervert mother will be sentenced for her latest offences in December, and faces a further 20 years behind bars.
Haway and Peggs first began chatting on the social media site in November 2018, with Haway sharing her desire to sexually abuse the girl, and record herself doing so, so she could share the abuse material with Peggs.
Haway then sent Peggs a video of her sexually abusing the child in February 2019 via Facebook Messenger.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged up the abuse material to Mercer County Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia in April 2019.
Detective Sergeant Steve Sommers watched one clip of an unidentified man sexually abusing a pre-pubescent girl. He then obtained a search warrant for Haway’s Facebook account, where he found two clips of Haway sexually abusing the little girl.
The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reported that a third video featuring the same girl and a man was also uncovered, although it is unclear if Peggs was the abuser in that clip.
Peggs admitted a child pornography charge last month and will be sentenced for his crimes on November 9.

A man traveled 400 miles on a Greyhound bus with suitcases filled with a woman’s dismembered body, police say.
The dismembered body parts were found by the man’s family after they noticed a “foul smell” coming from the three heavy bags.
He had reportedly travelled from Kentucky to Markham, Illinois, before the remains were discovered on Tuesday September 15, CBS 2 reported.
According to Markham police Chief Terry White, the family did not know what was in the bags that was in their home for several days.
They started to suspect something suspicious after the man did not unpack and guarded the suitcases.
The family were able to open one of the bags on Tuesday morning, after the man left the house to go to a public library.
Once they discovered the remains, they called immediately the police.
“There were some early reports of a foul odor coming from the bags,” police chief, White said.
Police later identified the body parts to belong to a woman.
According to police, the remains are the result of a crime they believe happened in Kentucky.
CBS 2 reporter Jermont Terry said the body could be related to a woman reported missing from Louisville last week.
According to CBS 2, investigators from Markham, the FBI and Lousiville are looking into the case.
The man has not been charged with any crime but remains in custody as of Tuesday night, September 15.

Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi has got more trouble coming his way as a new evidence has been submitted against him in California.
In the new evidence submittted against Hushpuppi who was arrested months ago in Dubai and extradited to the United States for allegedly being part of a network that made “hundreds of millions of dollars” from business email compromise frauds and other scams, he was accused of using his personal email to register on a website “whizzlog” which is a market place for buying US bank logs and money laundering.
It was alleged that his email address contained registration confirmation from Whizzlog and numerous confirmation and receipts of bank logs he purchased.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his own brother in the UK.
Joseph Garmson, 31, died after being stabbed in the leg during a row at his sibling’s bungalow in Birmingham on Monday night, September 14.
Neighbours in Lutley Grove, in the Bartley Green suburb of the city, said they heard screaming shortly after 8pm on Monday. A few minutes later, Mr. Joseph, a father-of-four children, was found critically injured by paramedics and rushed to a hospital where he later died.
One resident said: ‘It was only the one scream I could hear. It sounded like a woman. It was a strange sort of scream, every few seconds.
‘I could see the shadow of somebody trying to get somebody up. It looked like they were trying to do CPR.’
On Wednesday, police charged Roy Garmson with his younger brother’s murder and he is due to appear before magistrates today.
West Midlands Police confirmed officers have charged Mr. Garmson’s brother with murder.
The force said in a statement: ‘We’ve charged a man with murder after his brother was fatally stabbed in Birmingham.
‘Joseph Garmson was found seriously injured at a property in Lutley Grove, Bartley Green, on Monday evening.
‘The 31-year-old was taken to hospital but sadly passed away. A post mortem revealed he died from a stab wound to his leg.
‘Roy Garmson, 33, of Lutley Grove, has been charged with murder and remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court.’

Premier League champions, Liverpool have finally agreed to sign midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich for £20m, plus £5m in adds-on.
Before now, Liverpool had been reluctant to pay an initial £27.3m for the 29-year-old Spaniard who has been linked with a move to the club since July.
It was confirmed this morning that Liverpool will now pay just £20m upfront for Thiago after they agreed on a bargain fee – with £5m in bonuses for the talented Bayern Munich midfielder, who will now sign a four-year deal and wear the No 6 shirt for the club.
Thiago would be the Premier League champions’ second summer signing, after the arrival of Greece left-back Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos.
Thiago, who started his career at Barcelona, joined Bayern Munich in 2013 and has made 233 appearances for the Bundesliga champions. He won seven Bundesliga titles in a row and played in last season’s Champions League final victory over Paris St-Germain.
