US recovers half of Ransom paid to Russian Hackers after Colonial Pipeline hack

United States investigators have recovered millions of dollars of cryptocurrency paid to Russian ransomware hackers in the Colonial Pipeline cyberattack, the Justice Department said in a statement on Monday June 7.

“Earlier today, the Department of Justice has found and recaptured the majority of ransom Colonial paid to the DarkSide network in the wake of the ransomware attack,” said Lisa Monaco, the US deputy attorney general, during a press conference.

“Ransomware attacks are always unacceptable – but when they target critical infrastructure, we will spare no effort in our response,” Ms Monaco added. “Today we turned the tables on DarkSide.”

The FBI was able to recapture a portion of the ransom by obtaining a password to DarkSide’s Bitcoin account. Investigators seized $2.3 million of the $4.4 million paid to the ransomware group by court order from the account, according to court documents.

The recovery of a ransom paid by a company who had fallen under a cyberattack was a rare occurrence.

Last month, Colonial Pipeline CEO Joseph Blount revealed in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that his company paid about $4.4 million in ransom in Bitcoin to DarkSide, a ransomware hacker group based in Russia, after it suffered the cyberattack.

Typically a ransomware attack involves hackers locking up computer systems by encrypting data and paralysing networks before asking for a large ransom from the targeted company to unscramble it.

The FBI has long advised companies against paying a ransom when hit by a ransomware attack, as paying the hackers gives them more incentive to target other organisations.

“The FBI does not support paying a ransom in response to a ransomware attack,” the FBI states on its website. “It also encourages perpetrators to target more victims and offers an incentive for others to get involved in this type of illegal activity.”

But Mr. Blount defended the highly controversial decision to pay the ransom given how the company’s 5,500-mile-long pipeline, which runs between Texas and New Jersey, was a vital part of the United States’ fuel industry. The pipeline delivers fuel to about 45 percent of the East Coast.

“It was the right thing to do for the country,” Mr. Blout said at the time. “I didn’t make it lightly. I will admit that I wasn’t comfortable seeing money go out the door to people like this.”

The cyberattack was reported on 7 May and forced Colonial Pipeline to shut down its pipeline for several days while it worked to restore operations. This caused gas prices to increase and residents in the impacted states to panic buy.

The Department of Justice has warned companies that cyberattacks would likely continue and encouraged vital agencies to adopt proper security measures that would protect their services from these hacks.

Ondo Communities shut markets, shops to honour TB Joshua

  • Why we want him buried in Arigidi, by monarch
  • Condolence registers opened at church in Ikotun
  • He left when Nigeria needed him most, says Baptist President

Leaders of Arigidi community in Akoko Northwest Local Government Area of Ondo State have closed down markets and shops to honour the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua.

The late cleric hailed from Arigidi and he had been providing support for the needy in the community and its environs.

He worked for restoration of electricity in the area, provided scholarships for indigent students, gave money and food to the elderly and widows.

Besides Arigidi, other nearby towns also shut down their markets to mourn the man they regarded as a father.

It was gathered that condolence registers have been opened at the palace of Zaki of Arigidi, Oba Oba Yisa Olanipekun and the home of the late T. B. Joshua’s elder brother.

Several mourners were said to have besieged both places to sign the condolence registers.

Those who spoke with TM said it would take a long time for the wounds the late cleric’s death caused in their hearts to heal.

The Onigedegede of Igedegede, Oba Walidu Sanni, said the late Joshua’s philanthropic gesture extended to widows, orphans and disabled persons in many communities, apart from Arigidi.

He said Akoko land has lost one of its shinning lights.

Also, Oba Olanipekun yesterday explained why the people were pushing for Prophet Joshua to be buried in the community.

Addressing reporters at his palace, the monarch said other clerics, like Moses Orimolade, were buried in his Ikare hometown.

He added that burying Joshua in Arigidi would ensure his philanthropic legacy remained in the heart of the people.

Oba Olanipekun said the late preacher touched many persons in every part of Akoko land.

The monarch said his greatest regret was that the late Joshua could not complete the university he started in Arigidi.

“He would bring rice to the people whenever we requested. He hated to see people go hungry. He was instrumental to the electrification of many communities in Akoko land after years of darkness,” he said.

Authorities of Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) have opened a condolence registers at the church in Ikotun, Lagos State.

Two registers were opened at three of the five church entrances in which members and other sympathisers signed and paid their last respects to the late prophet.

Some of the messages read: “We’ll miss you prophet, rest on”; “You are the last of the prophets for this generation”; “The world rejected you but you lived and died well” and “Rest on, my father and mentor, we love you”.

The President of Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Israel Akanji, has said Prophet Joshua died at a time the country needed him most.

He described the death of the late preacher as a big loss to Nigeria.

A statement yesterday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, by Nigerian Baptist Convention’s spokesman, Pastor Eben Durodola, also described the late prophet as humble, peaceful and lover of the poor.

Rev. Akanji said Nigeria needed his prayer, particularly for insecurity, which the country is currently battling to overcome.

He commiserated with the family and church of the late priest and prayed God to comfort and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

US Paramedic who cut $8,000 diamond ring from dead woman’s finger and sold it, pleads guilty

A paramedic who cut a diamond ring off the finger of a dead patient and went on to pawn it has pleaded guilty nearly two years after she was arrested.

Lisa Darlene Glaze was arrested in Nov. 2019 in Arkansas shortly after the family of Gloria Robinson noticed she was not wearing her $8,000 diamond ring when she was pronounced dead at a hospital in Hot Springs.

Robinson’s family asked hospital staff including Glaze why three of the woman’s rings were missing when they were given Robinson’s personal effects. However they did not get a response.

Two days later, an anonymous parcel arrived at a funeral home and contained two of Robinson’s rings, but not her most valuable one.

Police later found the ring, valued at $7,946.63, on sale for $45 at a pawn shop and a shop employee confirmed Glaze sold the ring to the store.

On Monday, June 7, Glaze, 51, pleaded guilty to a felony count of theft but will avoid jail time with a sentence of six years’ supervised probation. She will also pay a small fine and court costs.

TB Joshua’s wife, Evelyn, recounts how her husband died

Evelyn Joshua, wife of Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as T.B. Joshua, has disclosed the incident leading up to his death.

Speaking with some selected journalists on Sunday, June 6, she said that her husband, the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), “ended his race prayerfully”.

She revealed the televangelist spent about three hours in prayers before the last service on the mountain and appeared to be very healthy. She said he never showed any sign of illness or worry and that his main concern was about the prayer line they offered to Indians against the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said: “Afterward, he came up to shower and I left him to have some time to prepare for service as worship had started.

“Few minutes later, he stepped out for ministration. While ministering, he spoke about a time to come and time to leave. His statements were spiritual and suddenly, he left the stage and went to his inner chambers.

“I waited a few minutes and thereafter decided to check on him. I met him sitting on the chair like someone reflecting but unconscious. I quickly beckoned on his disciples who came and tried to revive him to no avail.”Of a truth, he went home to be with the Lord and left us with a message, watch and pray.”

On Sunday, June 6, Evelyn mourned her husband on Twitter,  writing; “Losing a loved one is never easy; whether sudden or foreseen. It is always heart-breaking. Grief can wreak havoc on our overall well-being. That’s why it’s important to stay rooted to the Almighty. Only He can lessen our heartache and comfort us in these times. Seek refuge in him.”

Mariah Carey quits Jay-Z’s Roc Nation after 3-year-battle

Grammy Award winning singer, Mariah Careh has changed management.

Mariah Carey parted ways with Jay-Z’s management company, Roc Nation after three and a half years and according to The Sun, it came after a “huge fight” between the stars about the future of Carey’s career.

“Mariah and JAY had an explosive meeting which did not go well at all,” a source told the Sun.

“She has made it clear she wants nothing more to do with him and has called it quits with Roc Nation.”

“It is a shame because they had done some great work in the last few years. But this meeting couldn’t have gone much worse,” said the insider.

The Roc Nation website no longer lists her among its clients.

Another source knowledgeable of the situation tells The Daily Mail that claims of a fallout between Mariah and JAY-Z are “simply not true.”

“Mariah’s relationship with Roc Nation ended amicably and Mariah and JAY-Z are on great terms,” said the source.

Carey, signed with Roc Nation in November 2017, and is said to have already begun “talking to other managers and thinks she has found someone who she feels has full belief in her.”

“There is a heavily R&B-influenced album being finalized at the moment and she is planning a world tour for next year, so she isn’t letting this stand in her way,” said the insider.

She is currently working on a new album and world tour.

Under Roc Nation management, Carey released her 30th anniversary album The Rarities and published her best-selling memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey. Additionally, she signed a deal with Apple TV+‌ for her holiday special, “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.”

French Govt. fines Google $268M for unfair online ads dominance

France has fined Google £190million after finding the tech giant abused its dominant market position while selling online adverts.

French regulators found Google had pushed publishers to use its platforms for selling adverts while unfairly punishing rival platforms, using a range of tactics which included charging ”opaque and variable commission fees. ” Google has agreed to pay the fine and end some of its self-preferencing practices, the watchdog said.

The investigation found that Google gave preferential treatment to its DFP advertising server, which allows publishers of sites and applications to sell their advertising space, and its SSP AdX listing platform, which organizes auction processes and allows publishers to sell their “impressions” or advertising inventory to advertisers. Google’s rivals and publishers suffered as a result, the regulator said.

The ruling, which blasted Google for an ‘extremely severe’ infringement of the rules, came after claims by three media groups – Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, French newspaper Le Figaro, and Belgium’s Groupe Rossel.

Isabelle de Silva, president of the French Competition Authority, said in a statement the decision is the first in the world “to look at the complex algorithmic auction processes by which online advertising ‘display’ operates.”

She added that the investigation revealed processes by which Google favored itself over its competitors on advertising servers and supply-side platforms, which are pieces of software used by publishers to manage, sell and optimize ad space on their websites and mobile apps.

“These very serious practices have penalized competition in the emerging online advertising market, and have enabled Google not only to preserve but also to increase its dominant position,” said de Silva.

“This sanction and these commitments will make it possible to re-establish a level playing field for all actors, and the ability of publishers to make the most of their advertising spaces.”

Google announced in a blog on Monday June 7, that it will be making a series of changes to its advertising technology.

“We recognize the role that ad tech plays in supporting access to content and information and we’re committed to working collaboratively with regulators and investing in new products and technologies that give publishers more choice and better results when using our platforms,” wrote Maria Gomri, legal director of Google France.

The investigation came after U.S.-based News Corp, French newspaper Le Figaro and the Belgian press group Rossel filed a complaint against Google.

Didier Deschamps mocks Jose Mourinho’s spell at Tottenham Hotspur

French national team coach, Didier Deschamps has mocked Jose Mourinho’s spell at Tottenham Hotspur, saying he expected more from Mourinho’s spell in North London.

Mourinho who has recently been appointed head coach of Serie A giants AS Roma, was in charge of Spurs between November 2019 and April 2021, 17 months after being named as the successor to Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.

The 58-year-old former Chelsea boss recently gave his assessment on the upcoming European Championships labelling France as favourites, stating that they “have to win” the tournament in order to be successful.

But Deschamps saw that as a subtle dig and has fired back at Mourinho citing his poor spell in charge of Spurs.

Talking to French television outlet TF1, Deschamps said: “I thought the same thing about his Tottenham team, but it did not end up happening like that.

“Automatically, with the status of world champions, we are favourites, with three more years of experience. I have a very important offensive potential.

“But it’s not just that. You talk about balance but I don’t disconnect them from our midfield too. We will do everything to have the ball as much as possible but there will be times when we will not have the ball.

“It is not a pressure, it is a reality, we will not run away from the debate: France is one of the favourites for this Euro.”

Director, Media and Advocy of the anti-narcotic agency, Femi Babafemi, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, June 6, said the suspected traffickers tried to either import into Nigeria or export to the United Kingdom and Italy, the illicit drugs all of which were intercepted and seized in five different bids.

“The first attempt to bring into Nigeria 76 pellets of cocaine weighing 1.150kg was made by Agudozie Peter Ihie on 25th May, 2021, but he was arrested during inward security clearance of passengers on Qatar airline from Kenya, at the E-arrival hall of Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos,” the statement reads.

“At the point of arrest, he was found in possession 36 pellets of cocaine concealed in his pants. While under observation, he excreted additional 40 pellets. During preliminary interrogation, he confessed to have swallowed the drugs in Nairobi but became pressed during the transit period in Doha and excreted some wraps onboard the aircraft en route Lagos.

Barely two hours after the arrest of Agudozie Peter Ihie for cocaine ingestion, NDLEA operatives at the SAHCO export shed of the Lagos airport also intercepted 4.2 kilograms of heroin bound for Italy. Two freight forwarders have been arrested in connection to the seizure. During preliminary interview, one of the suspects stated that the consignment belongs to one of his customers based in Italy, and that it was sent to him from Benin, Edo state through a transport company.

On the 26th May, 2021, during inward security clearance of passengers on Qatar airline from Doha, NDLEA operatives at the E-arrival hall of the airport also arrested one Nnakaihe Ikechukwu (a.k.a Peprah Livinus) with 600 grams of cocaine. The illicit drug was cleverly concealed inside Ankara dress buttons.

The suspect who hails from Imo state however fraudulently obtained a Ghanaian passport using Peprah Livinus as his name. He is suspected to be a member of some of the illicit drug trafficking groups with multiple passports bearing different names in order to evade detection by security agencies.

On the same date, NDLEA operatives at the NAHCO export shed of MMIA intercepted 30.150 kg of Cannabis Sativa heading to Manchester in the United Kingdom via British Airways and arrested one Anyanwu Chika who is a cargo bag stitcher in connection to the bid. The drug was neatly concealed inside 30 pieces of bankus palm nut cream tin (banga soup) after emptying the real content.

In his confessional statement, he admitted to have been contracted by one of his customers based in Manchester and had negotiated with him for the sum of one million naira but was paid only seven hundred thousand naira.

On Thursday, 3rd of June, 2021, operatives equally intercepted 11 parcels of heroin weighing 1.2kg concealed in eleven packs of Indomie noodles at SAHCO export shed of the Lagos airport. The drug was to go with Ethiopian Airline to Malaysia via Addis-Ababa. A freight agent and an errand boy for the owner of the exhibit have been arrested in connection to the foiled bid.

Reacting to the latest arrests and seizures at the MMIA, Chairman of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) commended the Commander, Ahmadu Garba, officers and men of the airport Command for their tenacity and commitment to the mandate of ridding the nation of illicit drugs.

He charged them to remain unrelenting and always watch out for the disingenuous modes of concealment traffickers employ to beat detection.

Nigerian Govt. gives condition to lift suspension on Twitter operations

The Federal government has given a condition to lift its indefinite suspension of Twitter operations in Nigeria.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, disclosed this during a meeting with foreign envoys in Abuja today June 7. According to Onyeama, the micro-blogging site will be restored in Nigeria only if the platform can be used “responsibly”.

Onyeama said although there is no definite timeline for when it will be restored, the micro-blogging site was suspended so as to stop it from being used as a platform for destabilisation and facilitation of criminality

“The condition would be responsible use of the social media and that really has to be it.

We are not saying that Twitter is threatening the country or any such thing. Why we have taken this measure is to stop them to be used as platforms for destabilisation and facilitation of criminality or encouragement of criminalities” he said

FG gives condition to lift suspension on Twitter operations

At the meeting held in Abuja were the envoys of the US, UK, Canada and the European Union, all of whom had condemned the “indefinite” suspension of Twitter in Nigeria.

Onyeama told newsmen after the meeting that the meeting was called for because the Federal government takes the comments of the envoys “very seriously”, hence the decision to discuss the matter with them in the “usual friendly way.” The Minister added that the Buhari administration has to keep an eye on its “main objective and legacy” which, according to him, is the security of lives and property.

“We want to use social media for good. Differences of opinion is not a problem; everybody will not think alike.

But lives matter; Nigerian lives matter and we have to do everything we can to preserve Nigerian lives. And when we feel our goals are threatened, actions need to be taken.”he said

See the World’s Tallest Boy Who is Just 8 Years But is Already 6ft 6inches Tall (Photos)

Eight-year-old Karan Singh of India has been named the world’s tallest boy towering over 6ft.

Karan Singh is twice taller than his classmates   A schoolboy who measures a whopping 6ft 6in is believed to be the world’s tallest eight-year-old at – twice the size of many of his classmates.   Karan Singh, from Meerut in India, has been a record breaker all his life, entering the Guinness Book of Records as both the heaviest and tallest baby at birth. Now his Dad Sanjay, 41, hopes his son’s amazing height will be recognised again.

“When Karan was born, he weighed 7.8 kg and was over 63 cm in length. So that got him into the record books instantly.“Then, when he was five-years-old, he got the record for being the tallest toddler. He is eight now and I want to get him into the Guinness Records again,” said Sanjay whose son is already his height.

Karan is not the tallest in his family and seems to owe his extraordinary height to mum Shweatlana, 33, who was named India’s tallest woman with a towering height of 7ft 2in.

Shweatlana, 33, is a basketball player and has represented India in numerous national and international sports events.   Although it’s not clear what has caused their lofty height, there is the possibility that both mum and son have an excess of the growth hormone.

Sanjay said: “We take Karan to an endocrinologist regularly. Until now, the tests have not shown any problems and everything is normal. Karan has a good stamina and has no internal problems.“I am a naturopath by profession and I make sure that we follow a special diet and supplements along with a healthy day to day lifestyle.

Despite towering above his classmates, Karan manages to do everything his smaller friends do.   He said: “After finishing my homework, I play with my friends and then I go play basketball with my mother; she started teaching me since I was five years old and I want to play basketball like her, but I also like science a lot.”

worlds tallest eight year old 2

The family attracts a lot of attention when they step out together, but say their main problem is getting clothes and shoes in their enormous sizes.   Shweatlana said: “When Karan was born, he didn’t fit into regular baby clothes. We had to get clothes for a six month old baby for him.“At the age of three, clothes for a 10-year- old would fit him. Now, his shoe size is already 12 and sometimes we don’t get that in the markets and have to get them made.”

Mum and son have the same shoe size and often wear each other’s, and Karan’s clothes are often especially made for him.   Shweatlana said. “My clothes have to be stitched specially. I don’t even find bangles or sandals in my size. Now we get Karan’s clothes tailor made as well.”

worlds tallest eight year old 3

Far from being embarrassed by his height Karan has said he would like to keep growing.   He said: “I like that I am tall and that my mom is tall. I want to be taller than my mom and make my parents proud.“But if I have to choose between becoming a doctor and a basketball player, I will choose basketball for sure.”   And proud mum Sweatlana insists that her and her son’s stature is nature’s gift.   She said: “As they say, a tiger’s son grows up to become a tiger. Karan is also the son of a tigress. He will grow up to be a tiger.”

ISWAP finally confirms death of Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau

Abubakar Shekua

The Islamic State West Africa Province has confirmed that Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau is dead.

In an audio recording obtained by news agencies, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) said Shekau died detonating explosives on himself after a battle between the two groups.

A voice said to be that of ISWAP leader Abu Musab al-Barnawi, was heard saying that Shekau “killed himself instantly by detonating an explosive” after being hunted down and offered a chance to repent and join the ISIS-linked group.

He added that “Shekau preferred to be humiliated in the afterlife than getting humiliated on earth.”

The audio statement is ISWAP’s first confirmation that its arch rival in the Lake Chad region has been killed. It is also speculated to be an end of a violent rivalry between the two groups, enabling Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) to absorb Boko Haram fighters and consolidate its hold on territory in northeastern Nigeria.

ISWAP was previously part of Boko Haram before its split five years ago, pledging allegiance to Islamic State. The schism was caused by religious ideological disagreements over the killing of civilians by Boko Haram, to which ISWAP objected.

Nicklas Bendtner, Ex. Arsenal striker, announces his retirement from football at 33

Former Arsenal, Juventus, and Wolfsburg forward Nicklas Bendtner has announced his retirement from football at the age of 33.

The ex-Denmark international, who made 81 caps and scored 30 goals for his country over 12 years from 2006-2018, most recently played for Tarnby FF’s ‘M+32 Old Boys’ team.’

Bendtner enjoyed a spell at Arsenal under Arsene Wenger from 2005-2014, where he scored 45 goals in 171 appearances.

‘I miss it every day, but I am also aware that there is an end date in this job. I think I’ll spend a lot of time understanding that it’s really over now,’ Bendtner told Bendtner & Philine on Discovery +.

‘Now I will find something else that gives me what football has given me in all the years.

Yet the 33-year-old then went on to reveal that he is taking his coaching badges in the hope that he can stay connected to the game he loves.

‘Football is a big part of my life and I can not leave it,’ the Dane added.

‘That is why I am in the process of taking the coaching education. I hope it will give me as much or maybe more than it did as a player.

‘That way, I will always be a part of football.’

Bendtner started his career at Kjobenhavns Boldklub in Copenhagen before he made the move to Arsenal at the age of 16.

While he was contracted to the club for nine years, he enjoyed loan spells at Birmingham City, Sunderland, and Juventus, where he claimed a Serie A winners medal in 2013.

He saw out the rest of his career back in Denmark, with Rosenborg, Copenhagen, and then Taarnby briefly last year.

DSS Summons Father Mbaka

  • The Department of State Services (DSS) has summoned Father Mbaka.

TM reports that the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have summoned the Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry Enugu, Father Ejike Mbaka, to Abuja for questioning.

It was gathered that the operatives visited the church in Enugu State to drop the letter of invitation. However, they didn’t meet the cleric at the church premises.

Details of why the DSS summoned Father Mbaka were not stated in the letter.

TM, however, learnt that it might not be unconnected with Mbaka’s criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in recent times.

Father Mbaka has attracted attention lately with his criticism of the current administration when he said God had rejected President Buhari and unhappy with his leadership.

Meanwhile, Father Mbaka, while reacting to the summon via a video, said, “I got a call that the DSS people from Abuja came here (Enugu) with a letter of invitation to Abuja. Over what? What I cannot understand is that the mother church in Nigeria should be “cowed down” to lilliputian.

“The church is a lion and lamb. The bible says if the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do. Every priest is a prophet and a king.

“We must protect the sheep. In this time, when killings are every day story, when there is hunger everywhere, people do not have hope again. The only hope I have is God. Anybody who will stop people from worshipping here will regret it.”

The cleric added, “I am the servant here. They don’t understand history. I spoke against Abacha. I went to Minna to tell Babangida what was wrong in his time. I spoke to Obasanjo face to face. I perform under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I ministered to the late President Yaradua. I am being used by a higher being called the Holy Spirit.

“If they are attacking me here and there, no wahala (no problem). The Bible says if God is for us, who can be against us? Only God can be God. I heard the security people did not accept the letter.

“They asked them to come on Monday to give me the letter. If they know the anointing here is too hot for them, let them change. I will not keep quiet,” Father Mbaka stated.

YouTuber, Logan Paul survives 8-round bout against Floyd Mayweather, no winner declared

YouTuber Logan Paul escaped as he fought Floyd Mayweather to the final of their exhibition boxing match on Sunday night, with no knockout at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Retired five-weight world champion Mayweather (50-0) took to the ring for the first time since a stoppage victory over kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition contest in December 2018. Paul, meanwhile, was fighting for the third time, having drawn an exhibition bout with fellow YouTube personality KSI in 2018 before facing him again in a rematch a year later.

No official winner was announced, as per exhibition rules, but a knockout was allowed though it did not materialise in the fight.

After the fight Mayweather, 44, played down his failure to stop Paul and admitted that he may never fight again after failing to defeat the Youtuber.

Logan Paul survives eight-round fight against Floyd Mayweather with no knockout in their exhibition boxing match

Mayweather said: ‘I wanted to give people a show and he was fighting to survive, he was the bigger guy but his background was wrestling so was good at tying me up.

‘Just going the distance was a win for him. He can grapple and was good at holding. When a guy that size is holding you, it’s hard to get him off you. I had fun, he did too. It was cool.

‘A guy that’s retired, training a few days a week, for me to be retired, be a grandfather and fight a guy in his 20’s. When the money comes, we will see who the winner is.

Logan Paul survives eight-round fight against Floyd Mayweather with no knockout in their exhibition boxing match

‘I am going into the Hall of Fame, I have nothing to prove. If they are happy with grappling and holding for eight rounds, that’s good for them. I hope the fans were pleased. I have been in this sport for so long, I was letting people see I can come out at the age of 44 and bring 30,000 to the stadium and bring good pay-per-view numbers.

‘I am not going to perform like I was 19, it’s all about growth and aging. I can’t fight like when I fought people like Gatti and people like that. It’s sad Pacquiao is coming out to fight again.

‘I could have pressed really hard but it was fun. His whole goal was to survive and that was a win for him. If he’s happy, so be it. In the history books I will always be the greatest.”

Logan Paul survives eight-round fight against Floyd Mayweather with no knockout in their exhibition boxing match

‘Will I make a comeback? Absolutely not. I have retired from the sport of boxing. I probably won’t do an exhibition again either.

‘If he would have fought more, it wouldn’t have lasted eight rounds. I am just blessed to build a legacy and build a fortune from it. I have made some smart investments and everything is paid for. We did what we had to do tonight.

Paul walked away with a reported $26milliom (£14m) paycheque. Mayweather’s is said to be worth in the region of $100m (£70) when all the pay-per-view numbers are accounted for, according to Mail Online.

Seid Visin, Former AC Milan Player, commits suicide after suffering years of constant racist abuse

Former AC Milan youth player, Seid Visin, has committed suicide after suffering years of racist abuse.

Visin, who played for the youth academies of both Milan and Benevento, was recently found dead at his home in Campania, Italy at the age of 20.

Visin was born in Ethiopia and later moved to Italy as a child. He was adopted by parents Walter and Maddalena in Nocera Inferiore, where he went on to pursue his dream of being a footballer.

However, in 2016, Visin decided to retire from football and focus on his studies. He only kept playing five-a-side football with Atletico Vitalica.

Atletico Vitalica announced his tragic death, with reports in Italy suggesting he took his own life at his family home in Nocera after suffering constant racist abuse over the years.

According to Corriere, a heartbreaking letter Visin wrote was read at his funeral on Saturday, June 5.

It read: “Now, wherever I go, wherever I am, wherever I am I feel on my shoulders, like a boulder, the weight of people’s skeptical, prejudiced, disgusted and frightened looks.”

Former AC Milan youth star, Seid Visin, 20, kills himself after suffering years of constant racist abuse

Visin also explained that he felt the racism he was suffering was a result of the increase of migrants moving to Italy. He recounted a story when an elderly white woman refused to be served by him while he was working as a waiter.

Visin said that he felt like he had to “prove to people, that they didn’t know me, that I was like them, that I was Italian, that I was white”.

He added that it was as if he was “ashamed of being black, as if I was afraid of being mistaken for an immigrant”.

Reports in Italy claim Visin first wrote the letter, which was sent to some of his friends and his psychotherapist, back in January 2019.

G7 nations agrees to increase tax for Big Tech Companies like Twitter, Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc

Tech giants and multinational companies such as Amazon, Google, Facebook will no longer be able to shift profits to low-tax offshore havens, after G7 Nations led by the US and UK agreed on a deal on taxation.

The landmark deal agreed on Saturday, June 5, will enable them to squeeze more money out of the corporate giants.

Hundreds of billions of dollars could flow into the governments of the Group of Seven (G7)  from this new deal after they agreed to back a minimum global corporate tax rate of at least 15%.

Facebook in a statement said it expected it would have to pay more tax, in more countries, as a result of the deal.

“G7 finance ministers have reached a historic agreement to reform the global tax system to make it fit for the global digital age,” British finance minister Rishi Sunak said after chairing a two-day meeting in London.

The meeting, hosted in central London, was the first time finance ministers have met face-to-face since the start of the pandemic.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the “significant, unprecedented commitment” would end what she called a race to the bottom on global taxation.

German finance minister Olaf Scholz said the deal was “bad news for tax havens around the world”.

According to Yellen, the G7 meeting was a return to multilateralism under Biden and a contrast to the approach of U.S. President Donald Trump, who alienated many U.S. allies.

“What I’ve seen during my time at this G7 is deep collaboration and a desire to coordinate and address a much broader range of global problems,” she said.

A ‘Yahoo Yahoo Boy’ arrested in U.S for stealing $800,000 in payroll hacking

A Nigerian identified as Charles Onus has been arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for his alleged involvement in diverting $800,000 into prepaid debit cards, barely a month after Abidemi Rufai, an aide to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state was arrested for fraud in the United States.

The United State Department of Justice in a statement shared on its website, said Mr Onus was arrested and detained on April 14 in San Francisco.

The suspect who is accused of hacking over 5,500 company user accounts, was arraigned before the Manhattan federal court on Wednesday June 2.

He is said to have allegedly participated in the scheme between July 2017 through about 2018, obtaining over 5,500 company user accounts through a cyber-intrusion technique referred to as “credential stuffing.”

The statement read;

“As alleged, Onus did this as effectively as someone who commits bank burglary, but with no need for a blowtorch or bolt-cutters. Thanks to the FBI and IRS-CI, Onus is in custody and facing serious federal charges.

“During a credential stuffing attack, a cyber threat actor collects stolen credentials, or username and password pairs, obtained from other large-scale data breaches of other companies.  The threat actor then systematically attempts to use those stolen credentials to obtain unauthorized access to accounts held by the same user with other companies and providers, to compromise accounts where the user has maintained the same password.

“After Onus successfully gained unauthorised access to a company user account, he changed the bank account information designated by the user of the account so that Onus would receive the user’s payroll to a prepaid debit card that was under Onus’ control.

“From at least in or about July 2017 through at least in or about 2018, at least approximately 5,500 company user accounts were compromised and more than approximately $800,000 in payroll funds were fraudulently diverted to prepaid debit cards, including those under the control of Onus.”

Another Nigerian arrested in U.S for allegedly stealing $800,000 in payroll hacking

The 34-year-old Nigerian national has now been charged with “one count of computer fraud for causing damage to a protected computer” which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

The statement added;

“One count of computer fraud for unauthorised access to a protected computer to further intended fraud, and one count of receipt of stolen money, each of which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison; one count of wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison; and one count of aggravated identity theft, which carries a mandatory sentence of two years in prison to be served consecutively to any other sentence imposed.”

Superstar footballer, Lionel Messi has agreed to stay at Barcelona for two more years before joining David Beckham’s Inter Miami side in the US.

His future at the Catalan giants had been in doubt after his deal with the club expired last month’s end.

However, according to reports, a new deal is close, and will see him spend another two seasons at Barcelona before moving to America to star for Beckham’s club.

It is reported Messi will spend two seasons in Miami, before returning to Spain and becoming a strategic partner at Barcelona with an off-field role as part of the ten-year deal, such as a global ambassador.

The 33-year-old will take a significant pay cut in the new contract, but the wide-ranging nature of the deal appears enough to have convinced him to once again commit his future to Barcelona.

Messi hinted at quitting the club earlier this year when he revealed his wish to play elsewhere while still keeping his links to the club he made his debut for in 2003.

‘My plan is to give all I can for the club at the moment,’ Messi told Spanish TV station La Sexta.

‘I would like to play in the United States and experience life and the league there, but ultimately come back to Barcelona in some capacity.

‘I’m not thinking too far ahead in the short-term and just want to see how the season finishes.’

Roman Pratasevich, Political activist, appears on State TV tearfully praising Belarus President (video)

Belarusian dissident journalist and political activist, Roman Protasevich, who was arrested in Minsk, Belarus after being taken off a hijacked RyanAir flight last month, has appeared in a tearful interview on state television, praising Belarus dictator Alexander Lukashenko and denouncing his fellow political activists.

Mass protests erupted across Belarus in 2020 after long-time leader Alexander Lukashenko claimed victory in a 9 August presidential election widely condemned as rigged, and a crackdown followed.

The protests have been curbed and opposition leaders have been sent to prison or in exile.

Pratasevich, 26, was editor of the opposition Nexta channel on the Telegram messaging app until last year and had been living in exile in Lithuania .

The government put him on a list of “individuals involved in terrorist activity” last year.

And then last month after hijacking a commercial flight enroute Lithuania, Belarus government arrested him.

In a Thursday night interview, June 3, Pratasevich tearfully confessed to organising anti-government protests and praised President Alexander Lukashenko. The 26-year-old told Belarusian state TV channel ONT on Thursday that he has “pleaded guilty” to organizing large-scale “unsanctioned protests” following the country’s disputed elections last August.   “I openly admit that I was one of the people who published calls to take to the streets on (August) ninth. As soon as I was presented with the documents and charged, I pleaded guilty immediately, under article 342 of the (Belarusian) Criminal Code, that’s the organization of large-scale unsanctioned protests,” Protasevich said during an interview on the show “Nothing Personal.”

Protasevich admitted to attempting to topple Alexander Lukashenko and said that he was speaking to the television channel by choice.

He said that he had criticised President Lukashenko a lot but “began to understand that he was doing the right thing and I certainly respect him”.   Protasevich also breaks down before the camera, crying as he says he never wants to get involved in politics again.   “I have rethought a lot of things for myself. I never want to get involved in politics anymore, in any dirty games and showdowns again. I want to hope that I can correct everything and live an ordinary peaceful life, to have a family, children, stop running away from something,” he said.

At the end of the interview, he burst into tears and said he hoped one day to marry and have children.

Protasevich’s family say the interview was conducted under duress, his father speaking to AFP news agency said that it pained him to watch the interview.

“I know my son very well and I believe that he would never say such things. They broke him and forced him to say what was needed,” he said.

Thursday’s interview was Mr Protasevich’s third appearance on state television since he was detained.

In one interview, he said there was no use in the opposition calling for further street protests.

Political activist Roman Pratasevich who was arrested after Ryanair plane was hijacked by Belarus military jet, appears on State TV tearfully praising Belarus president Lukashenko (video)

Protasevich faces serious charges. In Belarus, the charge of causing mass unrest can be punished by up to 15 years in jail but terror offences carry higher sentences and as he was taken off the plane, passengers quoted him saying “I’ll get the death penalty here”.

But this season Barca were eclipsed by Atletico Madrid to the Spanish title and crashed out of Europe in the last-16.

Koeman however won the Copa del Rey.

Barca chief Laporta confirmed on Thursday, June 3, that Koeman would stay on after a meeting with the club’s board of directors.

‘I’d like to announce that, after a period of reflection, we have decided to continue with Koeman,’ Laporta said.

Koeman has one more year left on his contract. Barca have already signed Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero.

Shocking! Artist Sells Imaginary Sculpture That Doesn’t Exist For A Staggering £13,000

According to Daily Star UK, many critics of contemporary art have described conceptual works as “the emperor’s new clothes,” saying that it’s all hype and no substance.

Italian artist Salvatore Garau has challenged that criticism by creating a “sculpture” that doesn’t exist at all — and selling it for just under £13,000.

The work, entitled ‘I am’, comes with some strict rules about how it’s to be stored and displayed.

The buyer of the completely non-existent artwork must keep it in a private house within a five-foot square space that’s free from any obstructions.

The buyer will also need to find somewhere to store their certificate of authenticity, which is the only tangible proof that Garau’s work exists.

The €15,000 ‘“immaterial sculpture” very real to the artist though.

He explains: “The successful outcome of the auction testifies to an irrefutable fact – he void is nothing but a space full of energy, and even if we empty it and nothing remains, according to Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle that nothingness has a weight.

“It therefore has energy,” he adds, “that condenses and transforms itself into particles, in short, in us!

“When I decide to ‘exhibit’ an immaterial sculpture in a given space, that space will concentrate a certain quantity and density of thoughts in a precise point, creating a sculpture that from my title alone will take the most varied forms.

“After all,” asks Garau, “don’t we give shape to a God we have never seen?”

The Sardinian-born artist isn’t exactly new to the world of conceptual art.

For his 2006 piece Ichthys Sacro Stagno, the artist created large ponds on the floors of three churches in the province of Sardinian Oristano, which he then populated with fish from lakes elsewhere in the area.

A year before, he created a 650-foot tarpaulin which he used to cover the scaffolding around a church in Milan.

Italian auction house Art-Rite has declined to reveal the name of the immaterial sculpture’s buyer, and presumably even if you went to their house you will only know they had it if they told you.

Twitter describes the decision of the Nigerian Govt. to suspend its operations as “deeply concerning”

Micro-blogging site, Twitter, has described the decision of the Federal government to suspend its operations in Nigeria as “deeply concerning”.

Twitter’s Senior Policy Communications Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Sarah Hart, stated this in an email response sent to The Cable. The mail reads

“The announcement made by the Nigerian Government that they have suspended Twitter’s operations in Nigeria is deeply concerning.

“We’re investigating and will provide updates when we know more,” Hart was quoted as saying.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, in a statement released on Friday afternoon, June 4, announced the suspension of the platform in Nigeria. He cited the “persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence” as a reason for the suspension.

It is however not clear when the ban will be enforced.

Facebook deletes Buhari’s controversial FB Post the after Twitter Saga

Facebook has joined Twitter in banning President Buhari’s controversial civil war statement.

Earlier today, June 4, the Federal Government announced that Twitter has been suspended in Nigeria. This comes days after Twitter deleted the president’s controversial statement and the video where he made the statement.

The banned statement made by Buhari reads: “Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”

Now, Facebook has followed suit. Facebook said it deleted Buhari’s statement because it violates its standards and is capable of inciting violence.

Unlike Twitter where the specific tweet was deleted while the rest of the thread with President Buhari’s speech was allowed to remain on the platform, Facebook removed President Buhari’s entire message.

Giving reason for deleting the statement, Facebook said: “In line with our global policies, we have removed a post from President Buhari’s Facebook page for violating our community standards against inciting violence.

“We remove any content from individual or organisation that violates our policies on facebook.”

Father Ejike Mbaka Barred from commenting on ‘Partisan Politics’

Enugu-based Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, who is the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), has been banned by the  Catholic church from commenting on partisan politics.

The Catholic bishop of Enugu Diocese Callistus Onaga in a letter dated June 3, 2021, disclosed the ban to  Fr. Mbaka and also converted his adoration ministry to chaplaincy.

The letter also explains that Mbaka still leads the chaplaincy but the bishop (Onaga) can appoint any ministerial officer “to assist the chaplains to oversee the pastoral activities of the ministry.”

The ban is coming after the controversy surrounding the recent disappearance and appearance of Fr. Mbaka which also led to the shutdown of his Adoration Ministry after he had asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign or be impeached.

Trump banned from Facebook Space for atleast two years

Former US president, Donald Trump has been banned from Facebook for at least two years.

The Republican politician was indefinitely suspended from all Facebook platforms over the 6 January US Capitol riot, in which his supporters violently tried to prevent the certification of Joe Biden’s election win.

Now Mr. Trump’s account will remain suspended until 7 January 2023, and Mark Zuckerberg’s company says he will only get it back if the “risk to public safety has receded.”

Facebook’s independent Oversight Board upheld the initial suspension of Mr. Trump last month, but they criticized the company over the indefinite time period, which led Mr. Zuckerberg to introduce the new rules.

“Given the gravity of the circumstances that led to Mr. Trump’s suspension, we believe his actions constituted a severe violation of our rules which merit the highest penalty available under the new enforcement protocols. We are suspending his accounts for two years, effective from the date of the initial suspension on 7 January this year,” said Nick Clegg, Facebook’s VP of Global Affairs, on Friday.

“At the end of this period, we will look to experts to assess whether the risk to public safety has receded.

“We will evaluate external factors, including instances of violence, restrictions on peaceful assembly and other markers of civil unrest.

“If we determine that there is still a serious risk to public safety, we will extend the restriction for a set period of time and continue to re-evaluate until that risk has receded.”

Facebook also announced that if Mr. Trump is ever cleared to use Facebook products again he will face “a strict set of rapidly escalating sanctions” that would be applied if he broke user rules.

Mr. Clegg also added that these would include the permanent removal of Mr. Trump’s pages and accounts.

“In establishing the two-year sanction for severe violations, we considered the need for it to be long enough to allow a safe period of time after the acts of incitement, to be significant enough to be a deterrent to Mr. Trump and others from committing such severe violations in future, and to be proportionate to the gravity of the violation itself,” he added.

Adamu Garba Accuses Twitter of supporting IPOB

Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba has alleged that Twitter is an “online machine” of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and that the social media platform supports the secessionist group more than it supports the Federal government.

Adamu said this while reacting to the decision of the Federal government to suspend the operation of Twitter in Nigeria.

In an interview with Channels TV on Friday evening, June 4, Garba, who in October 2020 sued the social media platform for ”supporting” the #ENDSARS protest, said the Federal government’s decision is a welcomed development.

“Yes, I’m happy. Seriously. It is clearly showing that actions cannot just happen without consequences.

Twitter, if you studied their move for the last two years, they have been more of an anti-Nigerian force, for the destruction of Nigeria than actually a platform that’s supposed to advocate for freedom of expression of Nigeria.

“Because if you look at what happened with the removal of some of the tweets of the president, I can’t see very strong or vile word than that of Nnamdi Kanu that was left to still be available on Twitter.

“We have a very serious crisis in the south-east, where these guys are destroying fundamental institutions of Nigerian democracy, INEC offices, police institutions and courts.

“They are killing people on the streets, destroying people’s properties, and then Twitter is behind them.

“I think Twitter is like a kind of IPOB online machine because what they do more is to support IPOB much more than the government. IPOB, everyone knows, they are anti-Nigeria. Their target is to destroy Nigeria.”

Man Cries Profusely After Finding Out His Wife Has Been Sleeping With Their Family Doctor For 10 Years

A Nigerian man has been left devastated after finding out his wife of 10 years has been sleeping with Doctor in a hospital where she always goes to for antenatal.

According to the man whenever his wife is pregnant, she insists on a particular hospital and Doctor, not knowing she has been sleeping with him all the while. They have two kids and she is currently pregnant with their third child. He has sent her packing and has subjected his 2 children to DNA test and is awaiting result.

For him, the only regrets he has is that he has invested so much in the family; has been spending on his mother-in-law’s health, bought a new car for his brother-in-law which he uses as a cab and sent his wife to University of Calabar after marrying her.

“Goodevening Steve.

I want to really thank you for the great effort you are putting to make things work in this group. May God bless you.I am a bonafide member of this group for years now, but right now, am not a happy man.I got married to the mother of my three kids in 2010. Believe me when I say am not a wayward husband. my family is life and I wasn’t going to let anything come between us.Now, on the other hand, I practically used my hard earned money to send my wife to the university of CALABAR because that is where we are residing now. The mistake I ever made was to trust her. Sir, if you see my wife, you will never believe she talks. She appear so calm and reserve, but I didn’t know she was just a big serpent. I gave my wife the best that life can offer. What I don’t give her is what she doesn’t ask.Like I said, am not a wayward husband. Ever since we got married, I have taken her to Dubai for shopping twice.Am not trying to blow my own trumpet, but am just trying to say that I have been keeping to my own end as a responsible man. When she took in with our first baby which am now doubting if am really the his father, she was the one that chose the hospital she wanted to register for her antenatal. My own was just to provide the money. Now up till this moment, it is baffles me how my wife is having sex with a doctor in that hospital and I didn’t know of it.

Honestly, if not that she is pregnant now, maybe I would have bitten her to death two weeks ago after I found out that the reason she is always running to the doctor is because of their evil deeds. The reason I sent you these pictures of them together, is for you to know that I did my investigations well. How can a man who calls himself a doctor be sleeping with a pregnant woman? I have never denied this whore of a wife my body. Even when I return tired from work, I still perform my duty. Anyway, I don’t want any problem that is why I threw her and the bastard she is Carrying out of my house same last week. Right now, my parents and siblings have already been notified. As for the two kids at home, I will run a DNA test on them, if they are truly my children, I will keep them, but If they are not, I Will call their mother’s people to come and take them away from my house. This woman has plugged a dagger through my heart.I have seen it all when it comes to woman. Am not seeking for any advice, because no amount of tears, plead, can make me change my decision.Let the devil who pushed her into it like she said, keep her for himself. The only regret am having now, is that I have really spent so much money in her family.

I personally brought his brother to CALABAR, bought him a car that he is using today as a Cab. Not mentioning the monies I have spent in her mother’s health. I don’t know why life should be so unfair to me. Am not a happy man now, but I know I will be fine to the glory of GOD. As for the idiot of a doctor who is sleeping with her, he will know am not a man hw can step on this toes and go free. For now, l just want to be healed before I know my next line of action. Please you can feel free to post this writeup together with the pictures I sent you if you so wish, I dont care.”

‘China should pay the world for death and destruction Coronavirus caused’ – Trump fumes

Trump signs executive orders banning TikTok and WeChat from operating in US in 45 days

Former US President, Donald Trump is demanding that China pays ten trillion dollars for its role in the coronavirus pandemic as he added to growing calls for US health expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci to explain exactly how much he knew about work being done at the Wuhan Institute of virology, China.

Donald Trump publicly feuded with Dr. Anthony Fauci throughout 2020 and is now claiming victory amid growing questions over how much his then adviser, Fauci knew about work being done at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The Chinese laboratory is at the center of conspiracy theories that the novel coronavirus came out from a scientific facility rather than jumped the species barrier naturally.

Coronavirus:

Fauci’s role in the early days of the crisis is under fresh scrutiny after two news organizations obtained his emails under a Freedom of Information request.

In particular, Republicans claim the communications show Fauci knew the Wuhan Institute of Virology – at the center of  the lab leak hypothesis for the origins of the COVID-19 crisis – was carrying out experiments with genetically engineered coronaviruses.

They also show he was warned of the possibility of a lab leak at a time when he was publicly insisting the pandemic emerged naturally by jumping from an animal host to human.

In a statement on Thursday, June 3, Trump derided Fauci by claiming he (Trump) saved hundreds of thousands of lives by resisting Fauci’s guidance on everything from closing borders, developing vaccines and wearing masks.

‘Now everyone, even the so-called “enemy,” are beginning to say that President Trump was right about the China Virus coming from the Wuhan Lab,’ Trump said.

‘The correspondence between Dr. Fauci and China speaks too loudly for anyone to ignore.

‘China should pay ten trillion Dollars to America, and the world, for the death and destruction they have caused.’

Trump demanded to find out how much Fauci really knew about the Wuhan lab.

‘There are a lot of questions that must be answered by Dr. Fauci,’ he said.

‘The funding of Wuhan by the U.S. was foolishly started by the Obama administration in 2014 but ended under the Trump administration.

‘When I heard about it, I said “no way.”

‘What did Dr. Fauci know about “gain of function” research, and when did he know it?’

Fauci says his emails obtained by Buzzfeed News and the Washington Post have been taken out of context.

‘I have always said, and will say today to you … that I still believe the most likely origin is from an animal species to a human, but I keep an absolutely open mind that if there may be other origins of that, there may be another reason, it could have been a lab leak,’ he told CNN

Nagu said: “The duty doctor on that day failed to inform my uncle that she was shifted to another ward and told him that she succumbed to Covid.

Soldier kills self after killing a customs officer at Seme Border

Soldier shoots man dead

A soldier attached to 243 Recce Battalion Ibereko, Badagry, LCP Mahmud Sulaiman, committed suicide by shooting himself dead after he shot dead a customs officer at the Oloko checkpoint, Gbaji on Badagry-Seme expressway on Wednesday, June 2.

According to reports, the soldier accidentally shot the Customs officer when his own team leader tried to retrieve a gun from him after he noticed Sulaiman was acting strange.

“In the process of retrieving the cocked weapon from him, which he resisted, he accidentally fired a shot and the stray bullet hit one Inspector of Custom, C.N Walter. The customs officer, who was attached to Seme Border Area Command, was rushed to Badagry General Hospital for treatment.
