Popular Nigerian TikTok personalities Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, and Elizabeth Amadu, popularly called Jarvis, are set to celebrate their white wedding today, marking the latest chapter in their much-followed journey to marriage.
Unlike their large traditional wedding ceremony on August 1, today’s event is expected to be a more intimate affair, with Peller revealing that only between 80 and 100 guests will be allowed to attend. The decision, according to the social media star, was influenced by his experience during the traditional ceremony, where he complained that some people appeared more interested in gaining access and creating content than celebrating with the couple.
Peller also announced that bloggers would not be permitted at the white wedding. He said the guest list would primarily consist of close relatives, friends and a carefully selected group of colleagues from the entertainment industry, allowing the couple to enjoy the occasion in a more private and controlled environment.
Although attendance will be restricted, fans will not be completely left out. The ceremony will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube, giving supporters around the world the opportunity to watch the celebrations online.
The couple’s journey to the altar began several months ago when Peller proposed to Jarvis in Ghana in June. Following the proposal, the pair travelled to Benin City, Edo State, where Peller completed the traditional marriage rites and paid Jarvis’ bride price in the presence of her family.
They subsequently formalised their relationship through a court wedding in Lagos on July 29, before proceeding to their traditional wedding in Lekki on August 1. That ceremony attracted a huge turnout of celebrities, musicians, influencers and other public figures, quickly becoming one of the most widely discussed celebrity weddings on social media.
The traditional wedding also generated considerable attention because of the generous gifts presented to the couple. Among the reported gifts was a ₦400m mansion in Abuja, alongside cash and a plot of land from well-wishers. Several memorable moments from the ceremony also went viral, including socialite Prettymike’s unusual mock medical-team entrance and footage of a man being knocked down by a car close to the wedding venue.
However, the celebrations were accompanied by controversy. Some Nigerians questioned the couple’s age and suitability for marriage, prompting Peller and Jarvis to publicly dismiss the criticism and defend their decision to marry.
Today’s white wedding is therefore expected to provide a quieter conclusion to the couple’s #JP2026 celebrations. With the guest list significantly reduced and bloggers excluded from the venue, Peller and Jarvis appear determined to keep the final ceremony focused on family, close friends and the people closest to them, while allowing the wider public to join the celebration through the online livestream.
