Transfer Bombshell! Arsenal have reportedly agreed a £75 million deal with Newcastle United for their captain Bruno Guimarães, after Mikel Arteta made the midfielder one of his top summer targets.
The Brazilian star is now expected to complete his medical later this week, with personal terms already believed to have been agreed. Arsenal are pushing to finish the transfer within the next 48 hours as Guimarães prepares to leave Newcastle’s training camp in Spain.
Newcastle are satisfied with the deal, making a huge profit on the £38m they paid Olympique Lyonnais for him in 2022.
However, the move represents another major blow for the Magpies, with Guimarães becoming the third big-name departure this summer after Anthony Gordon’s move to Barcelona and Sandro Tonali’s switch to Tottenham.
