THE 14 KEY POINTS OF THE DRAFT U.S.–IRAN AGREEMENT

  1. Immediate and Permanent End to the War
    Iran, the United States, and their allies agree to immediately and permanently end the ongoing conflict on all fronts, including Lebanon. Both sides commit to refraining from hostile actions, threats, or the use of force against each other.
  2. Mutual Respect for Sovereignty
    Both countries pledge to respect each other’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence, and to avoid interference in each other’s internal affairs.
  3. Final Agreement Within 60 Days
    The parties agree to negotiate and conclude a comprehensive final agreement within 60 days, with the possibility of extension by mutual consent.
  4. End of the Naval Blockade
    The United States will lift the naval blockade and remove obstacles affecting Iran’s maritime activities. Full commercial shipping operations are to be restored within 30 days. The U.S. also commits to withdrawing its forces from surrounding areas within 30 days after a final agreement is reached.
  5. Restoration of Maritime Navigation
    Iran will take all necessary measures to restore merchant shipping traffic between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman to pre-war levels within 30 days, including mine-clearing and removing technical obstacles.
  6. $300 Billion Economic Development Plan
    The United States and regional partners will develop a comprehensive economic rehabilitation and development program for Iran, guaranteeing at least $300 billion in funding. The implementation mechanism is to be finalized within 60 days.
  7. Removal of Sanctions
