During a visit to the Palace of Versailles alongside French President Emmanuel Macron on June 17, U.S. President Donald Trump signed the agreement between the United States and Iran, according to reports confirmed by Axios and BFMTV.
Minutes later, Iran’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that it had also signed the deal.
“The text of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has been finalized with the presidents’ signatures. It is now time to test the implementation of this agreement,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said, according to IRNA.
Baghaei added that the signing was completed electronically, making a formal signing ceremony unnecessary.
