Bobby Shmurda released from prison, happily leaves with private jet filled with women (video)

American rapper, Bobby Shmurda has been released from prison today February 23, the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision has confirmed.

Shmurda, 26, whose legal name is Ackquille Pollard, was sentenced in Oct. 2016 to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy and weapons possession in connection with what prosecutors said was his leading role in the GS9 gang, an offshoot of the Crips, in the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Shmurda was denied parole in September 2020, in part because of disciplinary actions taken against him while he was incarcerated, and he was ordered then to serve his maximum sentence, to Dec. 11, 2021. But after a review by the Department of Corrections, Shmurda’s credit for good institutional behavior was restored, making him eligible for conditional release as of Feb. 23, barring any further incidents, with the remainder of his sentence to be served on parole.

In a statement, NYS DOCCS said “At approximately 8:30 this morning,  Ackquille Pollard was conditionally released from Clinton Correctional Facility. Mr. Pollard will be under community supervision in Kings County until he completes his sentence on February 23, 2026.”

Prior to the release, Bobby shared a message with fans on Instagram. The message read;

“Thank you for remaining loyal and for riding this six year sentence out with me.

“I love you all and look forward to seeing you soon.”

As for Bobby’s plans moving forward, his mother Leslie Pollard told TMZ earlier this week that her son will first enjoy some quality family time before easing himself back into the creative process.

Shortly after his release from prison, a video of Bobby and Leslie on a celebratory call surfaced. He was spotted in a private jet filled with women.

Cocaine worth billions of Euros seized by German and Belgium customs authorities (photos)

German and Belgium customs authorities have seized a record of more than 23 tonnes of cocaine that was destined for the Netherlands worth an estimated street sales value of between €1.5bn and €3.5bn ($1.8bn and $4.2b)

German officials discovered 16 tonnes in five shipping containers that had arrived in the port of Hamburg from Paraguay earlier this month. While police in the Netherlands were notified and a further 7.2 tonnes of cocaine was seized at the Belgian port of Antwerp.

German customs say a 28-year-old man suspected of involvement in the trafficking of the drugs has been arrested in the Netherlands by Dutch police.

The two raids, which took place earlier this month, resulted in the seizure of an “enormous amount of cocaine”, customs officials said on Thursday

In Antwerp, the drug was hidden in a container filled with wooden blocks from Panama while the one found in the German city of Hamburg was concealed in tins of wall filler, which had entered Europe on a container ship from Paraguay.

Officials say they ordered the containers to be emptied after noticing “clear irregularities” with some of the contents – tin cans that were meant to be filled with putty.

“Beyond a layer of genuine goods, packed just behind the container door, numerous tin cans were in fact filled with other goods,” officials said.

Investigators then ordered the containers to be unloaded, and found cocaine stashed away in more than 1,700 tins.

“This is the largest amount of cocaine ever seized in Europe and one of the largest single seizures worldwide,” German customs said, referring to the Hamburg haul alone.

“We are estimating a street sales value of between €1.5bn and €3.5bn ($1.8bn and $4.2bn) for the 16 tonnes,” Hamburg customs official Rene Matschke told AFP news agency.

Hamburg is Europe’s third biggest port, and the largest in Germany.

High-purity cocaine can be cut up or divided, with different substances added to increase profits when sold on the street.

Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu suspends a traditional ruler for aiding kidnappers

FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has sacked the Chief of Anagada, Malam Alhassan Musa, in Gwagwalada Area Council for allegedly aiding and abetting kidnappers.

The Minister made this known on Tuesday, February 23, during an emergency meeting with traditional rulers and graded chiefs in the Federal Capital to discuss the rising insecurities across the Territory.

Dr. Aliyu said the suspension was based on the confirmation of the security report made available to her.

“Regrettably, we are starting this gathering with security report indicting one of the royal fathers in Gwagwalada Area Council. I don’t know how it will end, but we must begin to look closely at ourselves or activities,” she stated.

“Royal stools are now being bastardised by some traditional rulers. The security agencies in their reports indicted one of you and we tried as much as possible to see how we can get to the bottom of the matter. Unfortunately, it was overruled because the report is not ours, it came from one of the security agencies. Therefore, we are not in a position to look into his case.

“It is not in our character, no matter the level of poverty to betray the trust bestowed on you as a traditional ruler and the custodian of our traditions. This will not be acceptable in the seat of government where Mr. President is the Governor General.

“Go and discuss with your various village heads and give them a sound warning that those found wanting will not be spared. And no one has the right to accommodate total strangers or group of people especially now that we are facing challenges of insecurity.

“You cannot accommodate strangers you do not know. The people you accommodate can betray you. The people you habour in your communities can be informats or bandits. At the end of the day, we battle with insurgents,” a statement by the minister’s media aide, Mr. Austine Elemue, said.

She reiterated to them that the administration would not spare any traditional ruler aiding and abetting criminality in this domain.

“Please stay safe and be vigilant always. If you notice strange movements or activities in your community or vicinity, please do not hesitate to report to the nearest police station.” she added.

She assured that the FCT Administration would soon embark on “operation know your neighbour, stay safe, and stay alive”, stressing that such move would enable the administration to profile total strangers who do not have any business staying in the nation’s capital.

Tugan maje, a town in Anagada chiefdom has recently witnessed kidnapping incidents, for which the police recently confirmed the arrest of a unnamed chief in the area.

“Instagram Pastor” Apostle Johnson Suleman apologizes over recent ramblings (video)

Apostle Johnson Suleman who is the General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has described as an error in his statement in which he said that COVID19 should not end because he was prospering and has been able to buy his third private jet.

In a video that went viral last week, Suleman while preaching at a church program, said

“In COVID (pandemic) I bought a jet; the third one. I have three. I was praying for COVID-19 not to end because I was resting. While people were complaining. my wife asked, ‘Can life be this sweet?’ Am I talking to somebody here?”

His statement drew criticisms from Nigerians who condemned him for being excited about the pandemic that has crippled the economic lives of many including the people who attend his church.

Reacting to the criticism, the clergyman while preaching in his church on Sunday, February 21, said the video of him making the statement was edited by a fellow pastor who is an enemy of his.

“There’s a video that is trending about me. It was posted by a pastor against me. It was a programme I had in Abuja and I was trying to explain something about COVID-19. When they told me that I prayed for COVID-19 not to end, I said ‘me? I didn’t say that.’

When they brought the video, I discovered it slipped out of my mouth. There’s no pastor that will pray for Covid not to end. It doesn’t make sense.

I was talking about what happens around Covid, how families were staying together, how families united, how some people even made money during that process. That was what I was trying to buttress and it slipped out of my mouth. I could not have prayed for Covid not to end, no pastor would do that. But he (the pastor) took that mistake, edited some part and blew it” he said

The clergyman added that those who are angry that he bought a third private jet will just die.

“If you are angry I mentioned three jets, you go just die. That’s the truth,” he said

Former AfDB President, Akinwumi Adesina speaks on Nigeria’s Restructuring

Former Minister of Agriculture and President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina has said that the restructuring of Nigeria should be driven by economic and financial viability.

In a public lecture titled ‘Toward a New Nigeria From Federal Fatherism to a Commonwealth’ and delivered virtually from the base of the African Development Bank in Abidjan, Ivory Coast for an event in Akure, Akinwumi who stated that economic and financial viability are necessary for political viability,  also called for a better way of supporting states in financing critical infrastructure.

He stressed the need to diversify the source of financing for states across Nigeria, noting that Nigerians in Diaspora remitted $24 billion in 2019, which accounted for half of crude oil exports.

Akinwumi suggested that resources in each state should be managed by the States which will in turn pay federal taxes and royalties to the Federal Government. He also urged state governments to focus on turning their resources into wealth based on their areas of comparative advantage.

Gender-reveal party device explodes in New York, kills the celebrant

A father-to-be was killed after a device he was building for his baby’s gender reveal party accidentally exploded.

28-year-old Christopher Pekny died in the blast on Sunday, February 21, which occurred in the town of Liberty, around 100 miles northwest of New York City.

His brother, Michael Pekny, 27, was also injured in the tragic incident, officials said. He was treated for his injuries at an area hospital.

image 35

“It wasn’t meant to harm anyone,” Mr. Nevel said. “It was just an innocent prop for a gender reveal that went horribly wrong.”

“It has been two nights in a row of not being able to sleep, waiting, hoping to hear that this is all some crazy misunderstanding,” Peter Pekny, the deceased’s oldest brother, told reporters. “But we all know that’s not the reality here.”

He added, “He was finally ready to settle down and he was so happy to be a dad. He was just this big kid, ready to be a man. And this shouldn’t have happened.”

State police and a bomb disposal unit are investigating the incident, which happened in a home in Liberty, New York.

The incident comes just weeks after a Michigan man was killed at a gender reveal party that featured a canon. He was reportedly struck by shrapnel that flew 10 to 15 feet away from the canon after it malfunctioned. He later died at a local hospital from his injuries.

“And I remember I popped him in the face and broke his nose” – Barack Obama

Former US President, Barrack Obama, has revealed what he did to a former classmate who called him a racial slur.

The 44th president shared in an episode of his Spotify podcast with Bruce Springsteen, “Renegades,” that he broke a schoolmate’s nose after the then-friend called him a racial slur during a locker room fight.

“Listen, when I was in school, I had a friend. We played basketball together,” Obama told the “Born in the U.S.A.” singer during a wide-ranging conversation on race.

“And one time we got into a fight and he called me a c—,” Obama said about 13 minutes into the episode before quipping of his Aloha State upbringing to chuckles from Springsteen, “Now first of all, ain’t no c—s in Hawaii, right?”

“It’s one of those things that — where he might not even known what a c— was — what he knew was, ‘I can hurt you by saying this,'” Obama, 59, continued.

The country’s first Black president added with a laugh, “And I remember I popped him in the face and broke his nose. And we were in the locker room.”

“Well done,” Springsteen remarked.

“I explained to him — I said, ‘Don’t you ever call me something like that,'” Obama recalled.

Hurling racial slurs, he said, comes down to “an assertion of status over the other.”

“‘I may be poor. I may be ignorant. I may be mean. I may be ugly. I may not like myself. I may be unhappy. But you know what I’m not?'” Obama said to Springsteen. “‘I’m not you.'”

“That basic psychology that then gets institutionalized is used to justify dehumanizing somebody, taking advantage of ’em, cheatin’ ’em, stealin’ from ’em, killin’ ’em, raping ’em,” said Obama.

“Whatever it is, at the end of the day it really comes down to that. And in some cases it’s as simple as, you know, ‘I’m scared I’m insignificant and not important. And this thing is the thing that’s going to give me some importance.'”

A woman who had no idea that she was pregnant has put to birth in a car park

A woman who had no idea she was pregnant has given birth in an Asda car park just feet away from her partner who was working in the store.

Delyth Jones, 25, thought she was suffering from appendicitis when her contractions started only for her to give birth half an hour later.

When she began suffering contractions, she called paramedics. On their way to the maternity ward, they were forced to stop at the store where Delyth’s sister Kate also works in Pwllheli, Wales.

Meanwhile her partner Dean Stawman, 26, finished his shift there oblivious to the drama that was unfolding just feet away.

He only found out he was a new dad when he got home.

Woman who didn

Delyth said: “I’ve had a pain like that before and had been rushed in before, so assumed it was something similar. I phoned my mum and sister thinking it could be back so they came over to help me.

“When they got there the pain changed and the next thing I knew I was on the floor. Then half an hour later he was born.”

Kate said: “We rushed over to help because she wasn’t feeling well and we thought it was appendicitis.

“At one point she said, ‘I think I’m having a baby’, and we laughed. So it was quite a shock when it turned out she was right. She really had no idea she was pregnant. She wasn’t showing and didn’t feel the baby move.”

Delyth said she knew the ambulance had stopped at Asda, but everything happened so quickly after that.

She didn’t have time for any pain relief – “just a couple of gulps of gas and air” – before Harry was born, weighing in at a healthy 7lbs 7oz.

Delyth and Harry were taken to Bangor Hospital for checks, but were home within 24 hours.

She said: “We were going through Pwllheli in the ambulance when they said we were going to have to stop.

“The community midwife was around and jumped in the ambulance at Asda and 10 minutes later he was delivered.

“I said to them, ‘Tell me I haven’t just given birth in Asda’ and they said I had – and that it would be listed as his place of birth on his birth certificate.

“It must be fate that he was born at Asda with our connections there.”

Woman who didn

She continued: “It’s been such a whirlwind, but it’s been so good and I have absolutely loved it. I wouldn’t change any of it.

“Dean knew I’d had a couple of pains the night before and knew I wasn’t well, but we decided he should go to work as usual.

“He arrived home just as I was giving birth in Asda. As soon as he found out he was ecstatic.”

The Central Bank of Nigeria is maintaining its stand on the ban on Cryptocurrency

The Central Bank of Nigeria is maintaining its stand on the ban on Cryptocurrency.

The governor of the apex bank, Godwin Emefiele, who appeared before the Senate Joint Committee on Banking, Insurance, and other financial institutions on Tuesday, February 23, said that money laundering, terrorism financing, and other criminal activities were being carried out using the digital currency.

Describing the operations of cryptocurrencies as dangerous and opaque, the CBN Governor said the use of cryptocurrency contravened an existing law. He said given the fact that cryptocurrencies were issued by unregulated and unlicensed entities made it contrary to the mandate of the Bank, as enshrined in the CBN Act (2007) declaring the Bank as the issuer of legal tender in Nigeria.

Emefiele, who also differentiated between digital currencies, which Central Banks can issue and cryptocurrencies issued by unknown and unregulated entities, stressed that the anonymity, obscurity and concealment of cryptocurrencies made it suitable for those who indulge in illegal activities such as money laundering, terrorism financing, purchase of small arms and light weapons and tax evasion.

Citing instances of investigated criminal activities that had been linked to cryptocurrencies, the CBN governor declared that “Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money” because it is not created or backed by any Central Bank.

“Cryptocurrency has no place in our monetary system at this time and cryptocurrency transactions should not be carried out through the Nigerian banking system” he stressed

The ban on cryptocurrency transactions was also backed by the Securities and Exchange Commission SEC, the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit NFIU as well as the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission ICPC.

The CBN had on February 5, directed banks to close accounts of persons or entities involved in cryptocurrency transactions within their systems.

President Buhari reassures Nigerians on lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty

President Buhari has said that his administration’s plan to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty did not come by accident or something they just ”bumped into,” but is a deliberate one that will be pursued with remarkable grit and determination.

Speaking on Tuesday February 23 at a meeting with the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), President Buhari agreed with the Council that the country required a poverty reduction strategy that will usher in a “rapid, sustained, sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

According to a statement released by presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, President Buhari wondered why a holistic agenda on poverty reduction was never contemplated by pasts administrations when the Nation’s revenue was at an all-time high.

“I was shocked, hearing from you that, of the vast agricultural land resources available to the nation, only two percent of it is under irrigation, promising that “we will make the best use of the land. Thank you for shaking us up. We are now awake, we will not doze off again. We didn’t just bump into this, we believe it is something we can deliver on.”President Buhari was quoted as saying

Argentina’s public prosecutor’s office to decide on Diego Maradona’s death on March 8

Argentina’s public prosecutor’s office will convene a medical board on March 8 to decide whether the late football legend Diego Maradona was given proper treatment before his death, legal sources said on Tuesday, February 23.

The Argetine football legend died of a heart attack on November 25, weeks after undergoing brain surgery on a blood clot.

Investigators are trying to determine whether or not there was negligence in Maradona’s health care before he died.

According to reports from Argentina, nine experts will be called on March 8 including the medical examiners that took part in Maradona’s autopsy.

The public prosecutor in San Isidro, a suburb of the capital Buenos Aires, has also called two more witnesses to appear before investigators on Thursday: a nursing coordinator and the doctor tasked with coordinating Maradona’s home care during the days before he died.

Five other people, including neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque and psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, are already under investigation in the involuntary manslaughter probe.

The latest two people included in the investigation were members of a WhatsApp chat group discussing Maradona’s care, local media reported.

Two of Maradona’s daughters Gianinna, 31, and Jana, 24 will also appear before prosecutors on Thursday after they accused Luque of responsibility for Maradona’s deteriorating health.

A first autopsy conducted the day Maradona died found he had suffered from liquid on the lungs with acute heart failure brought on by a disease of the heart muscles that makes it harder to pump blood. His heart was twice the normal size.

It was also revealed that Maradona was suffering from liver, kidney and cardiovascular disorders before his death, having battled cocaine and alcohol addictions during his life.

Prophet Bushiri and his wife being sought by the Malawian Police

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri And His Wife

The Malawian police has issued a new arrest warrant for controversial millionaire Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Prophetess Mary Bushiri of the Enlightened Christian Gathering.

Recall that after Malawian authorities stopped members of the Prophet’s family from leaving the country for Kenya, the police stormed his home but could not find him and his wife, Mary.

National Police spokesperson James Kadadzera confirmed the new warrant of arrest that was issued to fugitive Prophet Bushiri and his wife to Malawitalk.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services spokesperson Martin Gongolo, also said that the police stopped Bushiri’s family from traveling because they were suspecting that the preacher and his wife were fleeing the country and wanted to send their children away first.

Bushiri and his wife fled South Africa last year while on bail. They are wanted in Pretoria on a raft of charges, including fraud and money-laundering.

Efforts to extradite Bushiri and his wife from Malawi to South Africa proved futile last year. Their extradition hearing is however set for 8th of March 2021.

How to solve “openssl: error when loading shared libraries libssl.so.1.1”

1. The purpose of this post

After install openssl, we run the openssl version to verify the installation, but sometimes we would get this error:

[root@node1 openssl-1.1.0f]# openssl version
openssl: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

2. Environments

The linux system is:

[root@node1 openssl-1.0.0f]# uname -a
Linux node1 3.10.0-862.14.4.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Sep 26 15:12:11 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

3. Debug

We try to find the file named libssl.so.1.1 as follows:

[root@localhost openssl-1.1.0f]# ll /usr/lib64/libssl*
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 315096 8m 7 2017 /usr/lib64/libssl3.so
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root     16 7m   9 2009 /usr/lib64/libssl.so.10 -> libssl.so.1.0.2k
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 470336 8m 4 2017 /usr/lib64/libssl.so.1.0.2k
[root@localhost openssl-1.1.0f]# ll /usr/local/lib64
Total 8984
drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 39 11m 8 11:30 engines-1.1
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 4967326 11m 8 11:30 libcrypto.a
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root      16 11m  8 11:30 libcrypto.so -> libcrypto.so.1.1
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 2934272 11m 8 11:30 libcrypto.so.1.1
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 766182 11m 8 11:30 libssl.a
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root      13 11m  8 11:30 libssl.so -> libssl.so.1.1
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 521384 11m 8 11:30 libssl.so.1.1
drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 61 11m 8 11:22 pkgconfig

We can find that the ‘libcrypto.so.1.1’ is located in the /usr/local/lib64, But openssl try to find the .so libraries in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH

[root@localhost ~]# echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/usr/lib64:/usr/local/lib64

So the solution is try to tell openssl where the library is.

4. Solve it

There are two methods to solve the problem:

4.1 Method 1: Change the LD_LIBRARY_PATH

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH = /usr/local/lib64:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

4.2 Method 2: Create a linke to the file

[root@localhost openssl-1.1.0f]# ln -s /usr/local/lib64/libssl.so.1.1 /usr/lib64/libssl.so.1.1
[root@localhost openssl-1.1.0f]# ln -s /usr/local/lib64/libcrypto.so.1.1 /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so.1.1

5. The LD_LIBRARY_PATH

As the linux documents shown:

You can temporarily substitute a different library for this particular execution. In Linux, the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH is a colon-separated set of directories where libraries should be searched for first, before the standard set of directories; this is useful when debugging a new library or using a nonstandard library for special purposes. The environment variable LD_PRELOAD lists shared libraries with functions that override the standard set, just as /etc/ld.so.preload does. These are implemented by the loader /lib/ld-linux.so. I should note that, while LD_LIBRARY_PATH works on many Unix-like systems, it doesn’t work on all; for example, this functionality is available on HP-UX but as the environment variable SHLIB_PATH, and on AIX this functionality is through the variable LIBPATH (with the same syntax, a colon-separated list).

LD_LIBRARY_PATH is handy for development and testing, but shouldn’t be modified by an installation process for normal use by normal users; see “Why LD_LIBRARY_PATH is Bad’’ at http://www.visi.com/~barr/ldpath.html for an explanation of why. But it’s still useful for development or testing, and for working around problems that can’t be worked around otherwise. If you don’t want to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable, on Linux you can even invoke the program loader directly and pass it arguments. For example, the following will use the given PATH instead of the content of the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and run the given executable: /lib/ld-linux.so.2 –library-path PATH EXECUTABLE Just executing ld-linux.so without arguments will give you more help on using this, but again, don’t use this for normal use – these are all intended for debugging.

You can find the full linux shared libary documents on Linux documents

Homosexuality not acceptable and should not be legalized in Ghana- Chief Imam

The Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Osman Sharubutu has waded into the raging controversy about homosexuality in the country.

In a 9 page paper signed by Dr. Mohammed Marzuq Abubakari Azindo the Personal Assistant to the National Chief Imam, Sheik Sharubutu stated that the opposition of the Muslim community in Ghana on the practice of homosexuality is non-negotiable.

He averred that though the Islam community is committed to the secular ideals in the governance of the country, homosexuality is however a deviant behaviour totally unacceptable in Islam.

The position taken by the Islamic community is grounded on procreation and society’s wellbeing vis-a-vis an individual’s right. They further argued that as a community, they choose to side with society’s well-being over an individual’s right.

The statement read;

THE POSITION OF THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY ON HOMOSEXUALITY IN GHANA

Introduction

Homosexuality has, in recent times, become an issue of national concern and discourse. Indeed, it is currently a matter of disagreement between religious bodies and secular thinkers in Ghana. Even in the secular community, homosexuality continues to be a source of seeming friction between criminal justice and democratic constitutionalism. For instance, while Ghana’s Criminal Code outlaws homosexuality as a misdemeanour, human rights activists and democratic advocates argue that the Act that criminalizes it is unconstitutional. In their opinion, criminalization of the practice violates Article 17 of the 1992 Constitution which frowns on discrimination against persons ‘on grounds of gender, race, colour, ethnic origin, religion, creed, social or economic status.

Besides, there is a tendency among the proponents of homosexuality to make it acceptable in the name of fairness and tolerance. On the contrary, some of the opponents, given the opportunity, would suggest summary execution of those engaging in homosexual behaviour. This confusing trend, if not well managed, can threaten national security and erode our cultural and societal values. We, therefore, add our voice to the efforts of other concerned institutions and individuals to find an amicable solution to the issue.

It is significant to state that homosexuality is practised in different forms by different people of different names. In this Position Paper, therefore, homosexuality is a generic term inclusive of all the activities of LGBTQ persons.

Background Information

For better comprehension, we preface our suggestions to develop an effective way of addressing this sensitive and critical issue with some background information.

Available literature indicates that early opposition to homosexuality was based on the argument that the behaviour was unnatural. Opponents contended that sodomy could not lead to reproduction, one of the main natural results of sexual relations. To counter such arguments, homosexual researchers scoured the earth until they found a supposed homosexual behaviour in the animal kingdom.

They claimed that the males of some species of exotic fishes off the coast of Japan imitated the behaviour of females of the species in order to prevent other males from impregnating their mates. They further argued that some rare butterflies from islands off the coast of Africa also had males exhibiting female behaviour during mating season. However, if the animal kingdom is to be used to justify human behaviour, we are sorry to state that the descent can never accept the behaviour.

In contemporary times, genetics has become the most commonly used foundation for the pro-gay argument. In 1993 Dr. Dean Hamer, a researcher at the National Cancer Institute, claimed to have discovered “the first concrete evidence that ‘gay genes’ really do exist.” Homosexual orientation was supposedly transmitted to males on the X chromosome from the mother. Hamer’s findings, published in the prestigious journal ‘Science’, transformed his career as a government scientist to a dynamic media personality, and he penned his memoirs. He gave expert testimony to the Colorado Supreme Court that formed the basis of the victorious decision striking down anti-gay propositions.

However, a replication of his study at the University of Western Ontario failed to find any linkage whatsoever between the X chromosome and sexual orientation. It was also found that Hamer’s study lacked a control group, a fundamental principle of scientific research.

Furthermore, in June 1994, the Chicago Tribune reported that a junior researcher in Hamer’s laboratory, who assisted in the gene mapping in the homosexuality study, alleged that Hamer selectively reported his data. She was then summarily dismissed from her post-doctoral fellowship in Hamer’s laboratory. But the National Institute of Health investigation substantiated her claims and gave her another position in a different laboratory.

Though Dr. Hamer hid his sexual choice in his memoirs, he later admitted in his lectures that he was a gay.

Quranic Position on Homosexuality

There are several verses in the Quran referring to gay and lesbian behaviours. Some obviously deal with effeminate men and “masculine women.” Among these verses are the following:

“We also sent Lut : He said to his people : “Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: Ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.” (Quran 7:80-81)

“What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, and leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are forward folk.” (Quran 26:165)

Lut is referred to as “Lot” in the Hebrew Scriptures. This passage is an apparent reference to the activities at Sodom and Gamorah, whose consequences are known to everybody.

Also, Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is reported to have said: “When a man mounts on another man, the throne of God shakes.” Semantically stretched, the word “MAN” in this context is not a masculine noun. It is rather a neuter with a collective sense in reference to humanity in general. This construction is in line with the Arabic linguistic principle in which masculine nouns and pronouns are used for constructions in reference to the entire human race, male and female. Therefore, the Hadith also means that when a woman mounts on another woman, the throne of God shakes. This simple analysis is to prove a point of lesbianism implied in the Hadith.

For religious, cultural and secular reasons, many people may not agree with the Holy Quran and the Prophet of Islam. However, the consequence of HIV/AIDS is enough to prove that homosexuality is evil and dangerous to society. The early spread of AIDS was concentrated among the homosexual community. It later spread to the heterosexual and the so-called bisexual community through blood transfusions and intravenous drug usage. Its spread continues on rampage among the promiscuous heterosexuals.

Secular Viewpoints

As revealed by the background information, homosexuality is not a new behaviour. It has existed among many cultures and people, but usually in fewer numbers and in secrecy. Unfortunately, increasing secularism and liberalism in contemporary global society have succeeded in making it a human right issue with funny theories ranging from genetic transformation to democratic choice.

In an attempt to polish their image, the homosexuals constitute very active and powerful lobby groups across the world. They have strong political and social ties and access to the elite of the global society. They promote their agenda through legislation, present themselves as victims of prejudice and discrimination, help to enact gender discrimination acts that legalize and secure full benefits for same gender marriage, and fund research to falsify genetic propensity to homosexuality.

Arguably, the most effective milestone in the homosexual movement was the declaration, in 1976, by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) that homosexuality was no longer considered an illness, but was merely regarded as an orientation or a sexual variant. This made many people suspicious of the scientific community, which went against known scientific data and norms.

Discussion

We as Muslims do state unequivocally that homosexuality is a deviant behaviour TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE in Islam. Although our religion allows us latitude to ponder and reconsider some issues, homosexuality is certainly NOT one of them. In fact, the practice is clearly condemned by the Quran, the Prophet, and his progeny. This notwithstanding, we do not hate the homosexuals; rather we find their behaviour abhorable. The following points constitute the grounds of our position:

God has created everything in pairs each endowed with physical and psychological characteristics to complement and complete each other. The Quran (4:1) indicates that human beings have been created from one living entity (nafs), which represents the origin of both the male and the female. The “mating” or “spousing” of male and female sexes is original in human nature, and out of this instinctive relationship the human race develops, continues and spreads.

Between the two sexes a gravitating combination of love, tenderness, and care is engendered, so that each finds in the other completeness, tranquillity, and support (Quran 30:21). Having children and loving them represent another fulfilment of the human nature (Quran 42:49-50). It is through this spousal complementation and completion, according to the Quran (7:189), that each spouse achieves comfort and enjoys peace of mind, satisfaction, and fulfilment. These relationships extend beyond the physical and sexual contact to psychological and spiritual fulfilment.

The blessings of this completeness are not ended by their accomplishment, but they continue and develop through bringing forth children, raising them, and providing the whole family with material, emotional, psychological, and moral needs.

The pleasures of completion and procreation may well be extended and multiplied when one is granted grandchildren, who not only represent genealogical continuation but also constitute a dynamic revitalization of the human race.

If there is any truth in the claim that the male homosexual behaviour could be genetic, what about bisexuals and lesbians? Surely, they are making a choice, which is, by our standards, a wrong one.

Even if the argument of genetic inclination towards homosexuality is considered, it is the nobility of the human spirit that can overcome the behaviour. There are suggestions that alcoholics are genetically pre-disposed to their behaviour. Furthermore, some people are inherently prone to take risks, a behaviour, which is an essential element of human progress and development. This pre-disposition to risk taking behaviour can easily lead to the destructive practice of gambling. We do not encourage the people with the propensity to alcoholism or gambling to keep on indulging in these vices, but encourage them to resist and overcome the vices. Can’t we do the same with homosexual feelings and tendencies?

Whether one has the orientation or harbours “homosexual genes,” one’s feelings and desires cannot dictate behaviour. As an illustration, one may have a strong urge to have a homosexual contact, or even a heterosexual contact with another person’s spouse, or to steal or kill. The nobility of the human spirit is to resist, and this elevates the human being to the status above that of the angels. It is indeed a distinguishing feature between humanism and animalism.

The reality of our society requires that we argue our positions and use existing societal rationales to deal with issues, as they prevail. While we abhor acts of discrimination against individuals or groups, we also place a high value on discretion. The individual’s right of choice is a fundamental value and necessary condition for each individual to be accountable to God for his/her own actions. God’s guidance secures the balance between the rights of individuals and those of society.

There is a continual struggle to maintain the balance between an individual’s right and society’s wellbeing. We place a higher value on the society’s wellbeing than on an individual’s right to actively promote counter-values that will ultimately damage the society at large. We, therefore, have a right to resist and ensure the protection of our values against any form of onslaught. This resistance should not be misconstrued as an aggression against any individual or group, but a firm and principled stand against the counter-values being promoted in the name of democracy and human rights. We have, indeed, a duty to promote divine wisdom and values that will advance humanity in an atmosphere of unity in diversity.

Myanmar:Brave Protesters defy military orders, in massive protests (photos/video)

Hundreds of thousands of protesters have turned out in Myanmar in defiance of the military to stage one of the largest protests yet against the military coup that has held the country bound since the beginning of this month.

On February 3, Military leaders overthrew Aung San Suu Kyi’s elected government and placed her under house arrest, charging her with possessing illegal walkie-talkies and violating the country’s Natural Disaster Law.

Ever since then there have been protests all over the country.

The military had to disperse crowds in the capital, Nay Pyi Taw, using a water cannon truck .

A statement from the military carried on state-run broadcaster MRTV said that protesters were “now inciting the people, especially emotional teenagers and youths, to a confrontation path where they will suffer the loss of life”.

Protesters say they want an end to military rule and want Ms San Suu Kyi released, along with senior members of her National League for Democracy (NLD) party.

Foreign pressure on military leaders has also been high.

In a speech on Monday, UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the UK will demand Ms Suu Kyi’s release.

While the UN has also responded.

“I call on the Myanmar military to stop the repression immediately,” United Nations Secretary General António Guterres said in his annual address to the UN Human Rights Council.

“Release the prisoners. End the violence. Respect human rights, and the will of the people expressed in recent elections,” he said, before insisting that “coups have no place in our modern world”.

The US, Canada and the UK have all imposed sanctions on the leaders of the coup.

On Monday, the European Union said it was ready to impose its own sanctions on Myanmar’s top generals.

“The EU stands ready to adopt restrictive measures targeting those directly responsible for the military coup and their economic interests,” the bloc’s foreign ministers said in a joint statement.

During the demonstrations in Myanmar’s main cities, people could be seen waving flags and chanting.

Monday’s protest, which has been nicknamed the “22222 Revolution” because it is taking place on 22 February, is being compared by protesters to demonstrations on 8 Aug 1988 – known as the 8888 uprising – when Myanmar saw one of its most violent protests.

Images on social media show some protesters forming the shape of 22222, while others waved signs and banners bearing the number.

Nicholas Braun aims his shot at Kim Kardashian few days after she filed for divorce

Actor Nicholas Braun, 32, is shooting his shot at Kim Kardashian, 40, only days after she filed for divorce.

The reality star filed for divorce from Kanye West on Friday, February 19.

On Monday, Feb 22, Nicholas shared a nearly three-minute-long Instagram video.

In his post’s caption, he tagged Kim Kardashian and explained to her that “it’s all about meeting new people” after her split.

Nicholas Braun aims his shot at Kim Kardashian few days after she filed for divorce

He said in the clip: “This Kim and Kanye divorce news is just bumming me out. God damn… It hurts to think about how they’re feeling and how she’s feeling.

“I mean, I’m wondering at this point, where do they even go from here? Where does she go… at this moment? ‘Cause she’s been through three marriages now and it’s like, are you willing to even take a shot on a new guy at this point? Would you be down to meet a new person, totally just kind of different guy? One who could, you know, make you laugh a little bit or make you feel small cause he’s so tall.”

Braun added: “Or, you know, just a guy who’s reaching out, talking about her on the internet. A guy who makes a video like this and he’s just sort of, like, trying to find a way to talk to her because he doesn’t know anybody who knows her. So, he’s just sort of making a video that might possibly penetrate her — not the right word choice — but enter her sphere. And she might see him and go, ‘Hmm, this is kind of different. You know, this guy is odd but maybe in a good way.’ And he goes to himself, ‘Yeah, you’re right. There’s something real here and there’s something good. There’s a deep understanding between these two souls.’ “

Kim hasn’t responded yet but some of Braun’s famous friends have shared messages of support. Lili Reinhart advised him to “give her a little time” and “she’ll come around,” while Anna Camp simply commented, “Yesssss.”

Grammy-winning electronic music duo, Daft Punk have announced that they are breaking up after 28 years.

The helmet-wearing French duo, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, shared the news in an eight-minute video called Epilogue after an incredible career boasting four chart-topping albums and six Grammy wins.

Kathryn Frazier, the band’s longtime publicist, confirmed the split.

Daft Punk, comprised of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, have had major success over the years, winning six Grammy Awards and launching international hits with One More Time, Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, and Get Lucky.

The split comes eight years after Daft Punk, formed by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter in 1993, released their last album Random Access Memories, featuring the track Get Lucky which topped the charts worldwide.

Their debut release Homework in 1997 featured the chart-topping hits Around the World and Da Funk.

Daft Punk

The pair discussed their music style in a rare interview with Interview Magazine in 2001, with Thomas saying: ‘We incorporate a lot of American and English-based influences, but take them completely out of context.

‘The way we listen to Chicago house music, disco, heavy metal or punk is completely artistic, without the political side of it.

‘But then we used it in a political way ourselves, which is making music at home, recycling and by combining those styles at home and doing it in a very new way

FG confirms that its administration’s Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) is working

The federal government has said that Nigeria’s exit from recession shows that this administration’s Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) is working.

In a statement released by Laolu Akande, spokesperson for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Nigerians were told to expect more as the implementation of the plan is gathering greater momentum.

The Presidency said in the statement that right from the Q3 2020, the economy was already on a rebound and the latest fourth-quarter figures show that the recovery of the Nigerian economy is a steady one.

Akande further revealed that the Economic Sustainability Plan is entering into an even more potent phase with the revving up of plans to install 5 million solar installations across the country and the social mass housing plan that will result in hundreds of thousands of affordable houses for ordinary Nigerians. Both aspects, he noted, will yield several hundreds of jobs besides giving the national economy a significant spur like never before.

The statement read;

“Like we explained late last year after the release of the third-quarter figures, the Economic Sustainability Plan, which was a calculated intervention by the Buhari Presidency, is driving the Nigerian economy in the right direction-upwards, and Nigerians can expect more because the administration is unrelenting in its determination to pursue the steady recovery and growth of our economy.”

Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera’s wife, Emma Coronel Aispuro, arrested on drug trafficking charges

The wife of notorious Mexican drug trafficker Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera has been arrested on drug trafficking charges.

Emma Coronel Aispuro, 31, was taken into custody on Monday, February 22, at Dulles International Airport. She is scheduled to make her appearance in federal court soon in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia via video conference.

Aispuro is charged in a one count criminal complaint with a conspiracy to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin, five kilograms or more of cocaine, 1,000 kilograms or more of marijuana, and 500 grams or more of methamphetamines for unlawful importation into the U.S., the Department of Justice said in a news release.

She also allegedly helped Guzman Loera escape from a Mexican prison in 2015, the department said.

After Guzman was re-arrested in Mexico in January 2016, she was also said to have engaged in planning yet another prison escape, before he was eventually extradited to the U.S. in January 2017.

Mike Vigil, a former DEA agent who worked undercover in Mexico, told DailyMail.com that Coronel was ‘a narco princess’ deeply enmeshed in the world of trafficking.

‘She was not a distributor, or a money launderer, or involved in logistics,’ said Vigil. ‘But she did things he ordered he to, like passing messages.

‘So did she participate? Yes.

‘But these charges are related to things that she did in the past. It’s not like she’s branching out on her own.’

Guzman Loera was convicted in 2019 on 10 charges of engaging in a continual criminal enterprise and multiple counts of distributing tons of cocaine into the United States. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years.

Joe Biden will soon impose sanctions on Russia over Alexei Navalny’s matter

US President Joe Biden is reportedly set to issue sanctions on Russia over the poisoning and jailing of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

According to Politico, the US is expected to coordinate with European allies a sanctions rollout against Russia in the coming weeks.

Sources told the news outlet that US sanctions on Russia would be the Biden administration’s first major step in holding the country accountable for human rights abuses.

Details of the sanctions are yet to be revealed, but one source claimed that the US is ‘considering available policy options’.

‘We won’t stand by idly in the face of these human rights abuses,’ the official said.

Daniel Fried, who served as assistant secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the State Department, told Politico: ‘I don’t think we can stop [Russian President] Putin from sending Navalny to a penal colony. But by acting quickly now, at least it’s in Putin’s calculation that the US is willing to act.’

Sources also said that the Biden administration is also not starting from scratch on the Navalny issue, having received a comprehensive sanctions package from the previous administration, which was handed over during the transition process.

The insiders told the news site that the package proposed three types of sanctions: Magnitsky Act sanctions on the individuals who detained Navalny; sanctions under the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991 (CBW Act); and sanctions under Executive Order 13382, which is “aimed at freezing the assets of proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and their supporters,” according to the State Department.

This comes a day after European Union foreign ministers agreed to impose new sanctions against Russian officials linked to the jailing of Navalny, and expressed concern that the government in Moscow appears to see the 27-nation bloc as an adversary.

‘We reached a political agreement to impose restrictive measures against those responsible for (Navalny’s) arrest and sentencing and persecution,’ EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said after chairing their meeting in Brussels.

Navalny, 44, was poisoned last August with the nerve agent Novichok, a lethal substance considered a banned chemical weapon by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The Kremlin denied involvement, but the State Department publicly attributed the attack to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in December.

After months of receiving treatment in Germany, Navalny recovered and flew home to Moscow, where he was arrested for breaking the terms of a probation agreement.

He later was sentenced to nearly three years in prison earlier this month, sparking massive protests across Russia and condemnation by the international community.

Phil Joy, a veteran house mover who oversaw the move, told the San Francisco Chronicle that moving the house, built in 1882, took several years to plan.

“We had to get 15 different city agencies to agree to this,” Joy said, according to the newspaper.

Tim Brown, a San Francisco broker who was the owner of the six-bedroom house, paid about $400,000 in moving costs and fees, the Chronicle reported.

Italian Ambassador to DR Congo dies during an attempted kidnap

Luca Attanasio, Italy’s ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo has been killed during an attempted kidnap on a United Nations convoy in the restive east of the vast central African country.

A spokesperson for Virunga national park said the convoy from the World Food Programme was attacked at about 10.15am local time (0815 GMT) during an attempted kidnap near the town of Kanyamahoro, about 10 miles north of the regional capital, Goma.

The carabinieri police officer who was providing security for the ambassador and a third person were killed in the incident.

It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack, but the road on which the convoy was travelling is a frequent site of attacks by bandits and armed militia.

The Italian foreign ministry said in a statement;

“It is with deep sorrow that the foreign ministry confirms the death today in Goma of the Italian ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Luca Attanasio, and of a policemen from the carabinieri.

“The ambassador and the soldier were travelling in a car in a convoy of Monusco, the United Nations Organisation stabilisation mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.”

Attanasio died of his wounds in the UN hospital in Goma. The 43-year-old, who was married with three children, had been Italy’s head of mission in Kinshasa since 2017 and was made ambassador in 2019.

Joey Barton becomes the new Bristol Rovers’s manager just leaving Fleetwood Town

Bristol Rovers have confirmed the appointment of Joey Barton as the club’s new manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The former Manchester City, Newcastle, and QPR midfielder, 38, has been unemployed since leaving Fleetwood Town in January following a bust-up with the club’s former striker Ched Evans.

He will be joined by assistant manager Clint Hill, with Rovers confirming their current coaching staff will remain in place.

Oh! Jealous wife kills a younger woman sitting next to her husband in a bar (video)

This is the terrifying moment a jealous Brazilian wife stormed a bar and shot dead a younger woman who was sitting next to her husband as they drank with friends.

In the video below, Dayane Rafaella de Silva Rodrigues, 31, can be seen making her way into the building in Tiangua, Brazil, last Thursday, February 18. She then fires shots at the table where her husband and five other friends were sitting together with 26-year-old Djaiane Batista Barro.

Unfortunately, one bullet hits Djaiane in the head, killing her instantly.

Oh! Jealous wife kills a younger woman sitting next to her husband in a bar (video)

Victim: Djaiane Batista Barros was shot dead

Rodrigues arrived on the back of a motorbike with another person before she walked into the bar to carry out the shooting.

A 24-year-old man also sustained a bullet wound and was taken to hospital where he is recovering after undergoing surgery on his arm

Security footage outside the bar also showed the suspect and her husband wrestling after the shooting, as he tries to remove the silver gun from her grasp.

It’s not clear he retrived the gun from her, but Rodrigues was later seen walking away from the scene with her handbag.

She was arrested by police shortly after the shooting. Officers said the suspect carried out the shooting because she was ‘angry’ with her husband and had previously argued with him about going to such bars frequented by escorts.

Following her arrest, Rodrigues told officers that she fired the shots at random to ‘disperse’ her husband’s table and that she did not know victim Djaiane.

The suspect has no prior criminal record and is distressed by her actions, according to the police, who are investigating her for homicide and bodily injury.

Nigerian Professor to be deported from South Africa over bigamous marriage

A Nigerian professor, Edwin Okey Chikata Ijeoma, who previously renounced his Nigerian citizenship, has been expelled from South Africa over bigamous marriage.

Ijeoma, a professor of public sector economics at the University of Fort Hare (UFH) in the Eastern Cape had his citizenship revoked by the Ministry of Home Affairs after he fraudulently relied on a bigamous marriage to a South African woman to obtain naturalisation and citizenship.

Prof. Ijeoma arrived in South Africa from Nigeria on a study permit in 1998 to pursue academic studies at the University of Pretoria. He obtained a PhD in economics in 2003.

Nigerian Professor to be deported from South Africa over bigamous marriage

According to DispatchLIVE, Ijeoma took home affairs on review to the Bhisho high court, but in a 2020 judgment the court held the minister had not erred in finding Ijeoma had made false representations about his marital status to the department or in determining his SA citizenship was null and void.

Acting judge Mickey Mfenyana has denied Ijeoma leave to appeal her ruling, stating another court will not differ from her finding that he was disingenuous, if not dishonest, and that there was no reason to interfere with the minister’s decision.

The confirmation of the home affairs action rendering him an undesirable inhabitant of the country means Ijeoma, who previously renounced his Nigerian citizenship, has nowhere else to go.

The head of the UFH school of public administration is under suspension by the university in connection with the illegal registration of axed health MEC Sindiswa Gomba for an honours degree in public administration when she was not entitled to register for postgraduate studies.

Ijeoma was granted permanent residence in SA in the same year he graduated from Tukkies, having been exempted from immigration restrictions due to his marriage to a local woman two years earlier.

In 2005 he was granted SA citizenship through naturalisation but by 2007 he had divorced his South African wife, ostensibly because the couple was unable to conceive a child.

He was then joined in SA by a Nigerian woman, Anne Tomo. Home affairs officials were tipped off that Ijeoma had committed bigamy by marrying the SA woman after Tomo in her application for permanent residence, attached a copy of her 1993 marriage to him in Nigeria.

Officials said Ijeoma’s sole mission in marrying the SA woman was to acquire citizenship.

In her original judgment, Mfenyana found Ijeoma had presented contradictory reasons for his bigamous actions — that, as an African man, he believed he was entitled to marry more than one wife; and that he represented himself as single because he was not aware SA recognised customary marriages.

She said he failed to disclose the existence of his marriage in Nigeria on three occasions: when he applied for permanent residence in SA, when he got married in the country and when he applied for citizenship.

Slating the highly qualified academic “who by his own admission is of good and sound mind and an intellectual giant”, she said it was highly improbable that, throughout his stay in the country and his encounters with immigration matters, he remained ignorant of the implications of not disclosing his Nigerian marriage.

Ijeoma told the court he obtained a permanent residence permit because of his “good and sound character” rather than his marriage to the SA woman.

He said home affairs had failed to take into account his contribution to SA as a result of his work as an academic and within the New Partnership for Africa’s Development.

Mfenyana said the exemption certificate clearly indicated the marriage was the basis for his exemption and Ijeoma had also admitted during a 2015 plea for home affairs to have compassion on him, that he obtained citizenship by naturalisation as a result of the marriage.

Home affairs provided the court with the certificate for Ijeoma’s marriage in Nigeria to dispel the notion it was a customary marriage. In any case, the Nigeria Marriage Act prohibited marriage where one of the parties was already married to another person under customary law.

In two immigration submissions in SA, when he had to indicate an immediate family member still residing in Nigeria, Ijeoma listed Anne Ijeoma as his sister.

Officials also said Ijeoma would have remained a permanent resident for five years had he not been exempted because of his marriage to the SA citizen.

Mfenyana said the court’s role was not to reconsider the minister’s decision but to review it for legality and reasonableness. The court found the minister was bound by the law, which determined the misrepresentation which Ijeoma had committed was a criminal offence.

UFH spokesperson Thandi Mapukata said she would need time to check with the university’s human resources department what steps might be taken after the court’s finding against Ijeoma.

“The university wasn’t aware of this development until now. We will contact law enforcement agencies to obtain a full briefing.”

Kim Kardashian reportedly documenting her $2.1 billion divorce from Kanye West

Kim Kardashian West will reportedly be documenting her $2.1 billion divorce from Kanye West on television.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 40, filed for divorce on Friday, February 19 to end her marriage of seven-years with Kanye West, and it has now been reported that their marital woes will be documented on a new programme about the famous family.

A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper that Kim will document their split on the last series of the family’s E! reality show, whilst it may also be a topic of discussion on a new Hulu reality series to debut later this year.

It has also been said that Kanye is ‘very unlikely’ to be featured in any parts of it.

It was previously claimed Kim is “sad but relieved” after filing for divorce from Kanye earlier this month with an insider saying she feels ‘confident in her decision.’

A source said: “Kim is definitely sad but she feels confident in her decision to divorce him, because she knows it’s what’s best for herself and her family. She’s already felt like she’s been divorced for months now. It’s been a long time coming and she feels relieved to be able to finally move on.”

Kim and Kanye had been living separately, but her main concern now is for their four children – North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, 21 months.

Kim Kardashian and kanye west???

An insider said that she is ‘worried about her privacy and kids.’

The source also added that eldest daughter North has ‘some understanding of what’s going on,’ noting that the kids have ‘mostly seen them apart so it isn’t super surprising.’

‘Kim expressed to [the kids] that she loves their Dad but they need to be apart. They don’t fully understand what’s going on and are already used to the situation.’

The report she made the decision to proceed legally because she was ‘tired of waiting.’

‘She tried to give it a chance. She wanted to do this last year. She gave it plenty of time but it’s just time to move on. There were no affairs. No one did anything bad. They grew apart.’

The pair are reportedly working on dividing their shared assets fairly though both did sign prenups which will help protect their combined $2.1B in assets.

According to Forbes, who has estimated around $70M in shared assets, the pair will divide things up based on the terms of their prenups. That sum accounts for their shared homes, art, vehicles, and jewelry among other things but each of them owns and operates their own companies including KKW Beauty, Skims, and Yeezy.

“We’ve got to turn our attention to the Premier League” – Henderson

The midfielder issued a rallying cry after the Reds got back to winning ways in the Champions League

Liverpool must “keep fighting” to save their season after picking up a crucial victory over RB Leipzig says Jordan Henderson, who has stressed “it’s only one good result”.

The Reds halted their three-match winless streak by beating Leipzig 2-0 in the first leg of their round of Champions League tie in Budapest on Tuesday night.

The reigning Premier League champions have slipped out of this season’s title race amid a dismal run of domestic results, but Henderson hopes their latest triumph in continental competition can serve as a springboard for a strong finish to the campaign.

What was said?

“It’s only one good result,” The Liverpool captain told BT Sport post-match “Yes, we’re pleased with it and it’s only half the job done because there’s another leg.

“Listen, we just want to keep going, keep fighting every time we play. There’s a lot of difficult situations throughout the season but I think we’ve just got to keep going every single game, take one step at a time.

“Tonight was a good step in the right direction for us and we need to continue that with our form and performance level. If we continue that then we’ll get some good results along the way.”

How did Liverpool beat Leipzig?

Liverpool looked on course for another frustrating night after squandering a number of clear chances in the first half at Puskas Arena, with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino both guilty of wasteful finishing.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s side finally made the breakthrough in the 53rd minute when Salah pounced on a wayward backpass before calmly slotting the ball into the net for his 24th goal of the season.

Sadio Mane doubled the Reds’ advantage five minutes later following more lackadaisical defending from Leipzig, with the Senegalese winger producing a trademark finish after Dayot Upamecano’s failure to deal with a looping through ball from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

What’s next for Liverpool?

Klopp will now prepare his players for a vital derby clash with Everton at Anfield on Saturday, which they must win to stay in the hunt for a top-four Premier League finish.

Henderson added on Liverpool’s impending showdown with their neighbours: “We’ve got to turn our attention to the Premier League and the Merseyside derby coming up, which is important.

“Recover well and we’ll give it everything in that game as well.”

Koeman reacts to Lionel Messi transfer rumours

Ronald Koeman has insisted that Paris Saint-Germain have not destabilised Barcelona by fuelling the transfer rumours surrounding Lionel Messi.

Messi’s future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent months, with PSG being mooted as the Argentine’s most likely destination if he decides to leave Barca in the summer.

Several players and staff members have publicly welcomed the prospect of the 33-year-old making his way to Parc des Princes, including Mauricio Pochettino and Neymar, but Koeman claims the ongoing transfer talk hasn’t served as a distraction for his side.

“PSG HAVE NOT DESTABILISED US, I DON’T KNOW IF IT WAS THEIR INTENTION. BUT MY THEME IS TO PREPARE THE PLAYERS. MESSI IS FROM BARCA AND I AM HOPEFUL THAT HE IS STILL HERE [BEYOND THE SUMMER],” HE TOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE ON MONDAY.

Jordi Alba also spoke to the media about Messi ahead of Barca’s Champions League round of 16 first leg tie against the French champions, admitting that he would love to see the six-time Ballon d’Or winner pledge his long-term future to the club.

“IF I WERE CLEAR ABOUT HIS FUTURE, I WOULDN’T SAY IT EITHER. HE IS ONE HUNDRED PER CENT COMMITTED TO BARCELONA. HOPEFULLY, WE WIN A TITLE. HE WILL DECIDE AT THE END OF THE SEASON,” SAID THE BLAUGRANA FULL-BACK.

“WHAT OTHER CLUBS OR PLAYERS SAY, WE DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO HIM. THERE ARE MANY OPINIONS, THERE IS MUCH TALK, BUT THE LAST WORD IS HIS. THE DECISION WILL BE WELL THOUGHT OUT AND CONSIDERED.

“IT WILL BE THE ONE THAT HE BELIEVES IS BEST. WITH LEO WE ARE MUCH BETTER AND STRONGER. I HOPE HE WILL STAY FOR MANY YEARS, BUT IT IS HIS DECISION AND WE WILL HAVE TO RESPECT IT.”

Chelsea new Manager,Thomas Tuchel, blows hot

Thomas Tuchel says he is striving to be an “unpredictable” character in the Chelsea dressing room, and that he doesn’t “do stuff to be loved”.

Tuchel has overseen a swift turnaround in fortunes at Chelsea since replacing Frank Lampard in the dugout last month, with four wins recorded from his first five matches at the helm.

The German has been able to bring the best out of previously inconsistent stars such as Callum Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho and Timo Werner while also endearing himself to the media, but he claims to be a tough taskmaster behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Newcastle on Monday night, Tuchel told Sky Sports:

“JUST BECAUSE I’M TRYING HARD TO BE KIND TO YOU GUYS [THE MEDIA], DOES NOT MEAN THAT I AM TRYING TOO HARD AND THAT EVERYBODY LOVES ME IN THE DRESSING ROOM BECAUSE THIS SIMPLY DOES NOT EXIST.

“CAN I BE A SHOUTER? YEAH, OF COURSE, IF IT’S ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. I CAN BE TOTALLY EMOTIONAL, AND I CAN ALSO TOTALLY BE A SHOUTER IF I FEEL THIS IS THE MINUTE TO DO IT AND TO SURPRISE. IF YOU DO IT ALL THE TIME THEN NO ONE WOULD LISTEN BECAUSE IT BECOMES A HABIT, SO EVERYBODY GETS USED TO IT.

“THE GOAL IS ALSO TO STAY A LITTLE BIT UNPREDICTABLE, AND MOST OF THE TIME TO BE REASONABLE BECAUSE, FOR ME, IT IS IMPORTANT WE BUILD A TRUST AND RELATIONSHIP THAT WE CAN RELY ON.

“PLAYERS WON’T GET PUNISHED, SHOUTED AT OR INSULTED IN FRONT OF A GROUP, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE – BUT IF WE HAVE TO POINT OUT THINGS CLEARLY I’M A BIG FRIEND OF DOING IT IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE GROUP.

“IF WE HAVE BEHAVIOURS THAT HARM THE GROUP AND CAUSE TROUBLE FOR THE TEAM ON THE PITCH, WE SHOULD TELL THE PLAYERS INDIVIDUALLY, BUT I BELIEVE STRONGLY THAT EVERYBODY HAS TO HAVE THE PERSONALITY TO SWALLOW CRITICISM IN FRONT OF THE GROUP.

“THAT WAY NO HARM IS DONE BECAUSE WE CAN TALK OPENLY. TO BE CLEAR AND TO BE HONEST, THIS WILL NEVER CHANGE. I DON’T DO STUFF TO BE LOVED BY EVERYONE IN THE DRESSING ROOM, THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE.”

Uche Nwosu, Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law sought the removal of Governor Uzodinma

Mr. Uche Nwosu, has returned to the Supreme Court barely 24 hours after his in-law Rochas Okorocha was humiliated by aides of Governor Hope Uzodinma for reopening a property sealed by the Imo state government.

Nwosu asked the apex court to declare that Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma was not the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) based on the court’s judgment that Nwosu was nominated by both the APC and the Action Alliance.

Okorocha’s son-in-law who made the request in a fresh suit through his counsel, Mr Philip Umeadi Jnr, asked the court for an order enforcing or otherwise directing the enforcement and or giving effect to the judgement of the court in the case delivered on December 20, 2019 wherein the court held that he was nominated by both APC and AA and consequently declared his nomination a nullity.

Though the same apex court reversed itself when it declared that Uzodinma won the Imo State governorship election under APC, in the judgment nullifying his candidacy which was attached to the suit, Justice Amina Augie JSC made the following findings:

“Apparently, in arguing as he did, the appellant does not seem to grasp or appreciate the intricacies of the case against him.

“The issue was not whether his name was on the ballot paper, or whether he was the APC’s candidate at the general election itself, the issue at stake is whether he knowingly allowed himself to be “nominated” as a candidate by both APC and Action Alliance…

“…The confusing part especially for lNEC, is that within?two days, 3/1A/$ and 2/1U18, it received two forms? CF001 signed by the appellant, as Gubernatorial? candidate of two Parties – Action Alliance and APC…Form CF001 is an affidavit of personal particulars of persons?seeking election, which is provided by INEC for candidates to submit their details to it, and it derives its powers from S. 31(2) of the Electoral Act…

“…The compelling part of the story is that since nomination is complete when INEC receives the necessary documents from a Political party, its receipt of two Forms CF001, which were both sworn to by the appellant himself, leads to an irresistible conclusion that he knowingly allowed himself to be nominated as the gubernatorial candidate of the two political parties, and by Section 37 of the Electorate Act 2010 as amended), his nomination is void.”

Nwosu is asking the court to use the above findings, to hold that both the Action Alliance (AA) and the All Progressive Congress (APC) did not sponsor and/or field any candidate for the governorship election held in lmo State on March 9, 2019 in view of the double nomination of the Appellant/Respondent by the two political parties aforesaid, and his subsequent disqualification as their gubernatorial candidate, as found by this honourable court in the Judgment delivered on 20th December, 2019.

He asked the court for an order sequel to the above that Senator Hope Uzodinma was not a candidate by himself or of any party at the Imo State Governorship election held on March 9, 2019.

Nwosu also asked the court for an order directing the Independent National Electoral Commission to withdraw the certificate of return issued to Senator Hope Uzodinma, and an order sequel to the above, directing that the said gubernatorial candidate of the 3rd Respondent/Applicant in the lmo state Governorship election held on the 9th March 2019 Rt. Hon. Emeka lhedioha be immediately sworn in as the governor of lmo State.

He added;

“The court found that the Appellant/Respondent was nominated by both APC and AA as their gubernatorial candidate for the lmo state governorship election and conclusively held that he was disqualified by the provisions of S. 37 of the Electoral Act (as amended), for double nomination.

“That after the said election, the governorship candidate of the 3d Respondent/Applicant Rt. Honourable Emeka lhedioha, was returned by the 4th Respondent as the winners of the election and consequently sworn into office.

“That subsequently, the return of the governorship candidate of the 3rd Respondent/Applicant was challenged up to this court by one senator Hope Uzodinma who claimed to be the gubernatorial ‘candidate of the APC.

“That this court in its judgement delivered on January 14, 2020 held that it was the said senator Hope Uzodinma and not Rt. Honourable Emeka lhedioha that scored the highest number of votes in the election and ought to be returned as the duly elected governor of lmo state.

“That by the clear terms of the judgement in this appeal, neither the AA nor the APC fielded any candidate for the lmo state governorship election held on 9th March 2019 and as such the said Uzodinma could not have been returned as the winner of the lmo State Governorship election as a candidate of the APC.

“That APC could not have substituted the appellant with a view to further nominating the said senator Hope Uzodinma as their candidate because that right was not available to the party under the Electoral Act.

“That senator Hope Uzodinma could not have been a candidate in the election as an independent candidate as such right is not available to him. That the 3rd respondent Applicant, PDP, as the main beneficiary of the judgment ought to enjoy the fruits of the said judgement.

“That Rt. Honourable Emeka lhedioha, who is the candidate nominated by the 3rd Respondent /Applicant, and who scored the second highest number of votes after Senator Hope Uzodinma, from the judgment of this court ought therefore to be issued a certificate of return by the 4th respondent and sworn in accordingly. That it will advance the cause of justice to grant this application particularly as none of the parties will be prejudiced by its grant.”

Bobby Shmurda, US Rapper, to be released on Tuesday after serving 7 years

Popular US rapper, Bobby Shmurda who has been in prison since 2014 will be released on Tuesday February 23.

TMZ reported that Shmurda’s prison release on Tuesday will be low key; he’ll grub with the fam bam, spend some QT with them and hit the ground running with his music.

His mother, Leslie Pollard said the rapper will first enjoy an intimate dinner with his family, chill and then devote his time to making music which has always been his passion.

Before his arrest at a Manhattan recording studio in 2014, Shmurda was enjoying a viral ascent in hip-hop thanks to a hit single ‘Hot Boy’ and a relate meme originating on the social media app Vine that showed him throwing his hat in the air and doing his trademark “Shmoney Dance”. The move was mimicked by Beyonce and in N.F.L touchdown dances, helping send “hot boy” to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The rapper will however be on parole till 2026.

“Governor Uzodinma threatened to deal with me” – Rochas Okorocha

Former Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha has narrated his ordeal after being arrested by the police yesterday February 21, for reopening a property sealed by the Imo state government.

While Imo police spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu said they invited Okorocha for questioning following his alleged involvement and forceful entry into a property that was confiscated by the Imo state government a few days ago, Okorocha accused Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma of ordering his arrest.

In a telephone interview with Channels Television on Sunday February 21, the federal lawmaker said operatives of the Nigeria Police Force attached to the Government House watched as thugs destroyed his vehicles.

Okorocha who also alleged that many people were injured, said a top aide to Governor Uzodinma controlled the thugs and was giving them instructions on what to do. He also accused the aide of pulling out a machete to inflict a cut on him.

He said;

“I asked them, what is my offence? They said conspiracy and public disorder. So they said it was the governor that directed them, that made a report to arrest me.

“The police whisked me into the pickup and brought me to the police station, I am here now. As I am here, they have not said anything to me.

“I am still at a very deep shock and confused as to what is happening here. Particularly of note, what shocked me was the SA to the Governor pulled out his shirt, carried the machete himself and was coming to machete me while I was moved out.

“He was calling the boys ‘come, come.’ He was in charge and the police were following him. When they arrested me so to say, the SA to the Governor entered the pickup and came to the police station with their own video.

“They were making jest of me that there is only one governor in the state, there is only one immunity that they are going to deal with me. I can’t believe it.”

Ravel Morrison once stole Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney’s boots to feed his family

Former Manchester United player, Ravel Morrison has admitted he used to steal Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney’s boots from the dressing room at Manchester United’s training ground to sell and put food on the table for his family.

Morrison, an academy product, was once named by Sir Alex Ferguson as the greatest teenage prospect he had ever trained but Morrison struggled with off-the-pitch problems and never lived up to his huge potential.

The 28-year-old Morrison spoke about the difficulties he faced away from football on Rio Ferdinand’s Five podcast explaining how he mixed with the wrong crowd and would be late for training which would land him in trouble.

Morrison told Ferdinand: “Obviously I was on a scholar’s wage, I was young.

“You used to get like £250 for a pair of boots. You take two pairs of boots, you get £500 and you go home and buy your family  Chinese or something.

Ravel Morrison admits stealing Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney's boots to feed his family ???

“You guys used to get like 30 pairs of boots. I didn’t mean it to cause so much harm but when I used to see yours or [Wayne] Rooney’s deliveries, you’d get 20-30 pairs at a time, I was thinking one pair to put some food on the table at home, I didn’t think it would be a big problem but obviously now I know.”

When Ferdinand asked Sir Ferguson for five words to describe the midfielder, the former Manchester United boss said: “My first and lasting impression of Ravel as a young lad is that he always had time and space, always available to be on the ball, so unusual for a young lad of his age.

“Another thing about Ravel that I will always treasure, because no other young player ever did it, after the first game for the first team that he played, the next morning he came to my office and gave me a letter thanking me for giving him his debut. I was gobsmacked. The boy had a good heart, he was just beaten by his background.”

Morrison came off the bench in the 3-2 League Cup win against Wolves in October 2010. In total, he made three appearances for United and all of them came in the League Cup and off the bench.

In January 2012, he was sold to West Ham and, at the start of the 2012-13 season, was loaned to Birmingham City.

In the summer of 2015 he joined Lazio as a free agent and was loaned to QPR in the January 2017 window where he stayed until the end of the season. Then came a loan spell at Mexican side Atlas before a stint at Swedish side Ostersunds before a free transfer to Sheffield United in 2019.

He was loaned to Middlesbrough for the second half of the 2019-20 season before moving to ADO Den Haag on a free transfer in September last year. He left the Dutch club in January this year, having played just five games.

How to Install and Configure Varnish with Apache on CentOS 7

Introduction

Varnish is an open source reverse HTTP proxy, an HTTP accelerator, and a useful tool for speeding up an Apache server. Varnish is also known as front-end web caching software that you put in front of an Apache web server to speed it up.

Varnish can increase the performance of your website and prevent the Apache server from overloading in case of high server traffic.

Varnish features

  • Reduces CPU load on the Apache web server.
  • Web browser will load your website faster since the cache is stored in RAM.
  • Supports load balancing.

In this article I will explain how to install and use Varnish as a front-end to an Apache web server.

Requirements

  • A server running CentOS 7 with Apache installed
  • A static IP address for your server

Install Varnish

Before installing Varnish, you will have to install the EPEL repository. You can do this by running the following command:

sudo yum install -y epel-release

Once the installation is finished you will be able to install Varnish.

sudo yum install -y varnish

After installation, you will need to start Varnish and enable it to start on boot.

To do this, run:

sudo systemctl start varnish
sudo systemctl enable varnish

To check the status of Varnish, run the following command:

sudo systemctl status varnish

Check the version of Varnish that is running:

sudo varnishd -V

Configure Varnish

The Varnish configuration file will be located in the /etc/varnish directory in CentOS 7. To make Varnish work in front of Apache, you will need to set up some basic configurations.

By default Varnish listens on port 6081. You will need to change port 6081 to 80 so that website requests access the Varnish cache first. You can do this by editing the varnish.params config file.

sudo nano /etc/varnish/varnish.params

Change VARNISH_LISTEN_PORT from 6081 to 80:

VARNISH_LISTEN_PORT=80

Save the file, then open the default.vcl file. This file tells varnish to look for the server content:

sudo nano /etc/varnish/default.vcl

Tell Varnish to get the content on port 8080.

backend default {
.host = "127.0.0.1";
.port = "8080";
}

Configure Apache to work with Varnish

By default Apache listens on port 80. Now, you need to make Apache to run behind Varnish caching by changing the default Apache port to 8080.

To do this, edit the httpd.conf config file:

sudo nano /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

Search for Listen 80 and replace it with Listen 8080:

Listen 8080

Save and close the file, then restart Apache and Varnish to reflect the changes.

sudo apachectl restart
sudo systemctl restart varnish

Test Varnish

Now you should have Varnish and Apache running together. To verify that Varnish is on and working, you can use the curl command to view the HTTP header:

curl -I http://localhost

You should see the output something like this:

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Wed, 04 Nov 2015 10:21:07 GMT
Server: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS)
Last-Modified: Fri, 02 Oct 2015 10:36:53 GMT
ETag: "6c-5211cdbf61c14"
Content-Length: 108
Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
X-Varnish: 32770
Age: 0
Via: 1.1 varnish-v4
Connection: keep-alive

Additional information on Varnish can be located at the Official Varnish Website

France: An act of sexual penetration by an adult on a minor under 15 will be considered a rape soon

France’s government wants to set the age of sexual consent at 15 and make it easier to punish long-ago child sexual abuse.

Victims of sexual abuse and child protection activists have long pushed for tougher laws and greater societal recognition of the problem of sexual abuse and this new development has been welcomed by them.

France’s lack of an age of consent have complicated efforts to prosecute alleged perpetrators.

The Justice Ministry said systematic sexual abuse is “intolerable”, adding that “the government is determined to act quickly to implement the changes that our society expects.”

“An act of sexual penetration by an adult on a minor under 15 will be considered a rape,” Justice Minister Eric Dupond-Moretti said Tuesday, Feb 9, on France-2 television.

Perpetrators could no longer cite consent to diminish the charges, he said, though exceptions would be made for teenagers having consensual sex.

The change still needs to be enshrined in law, but the announcement is a major step.

“It’s very good that there is this revived debate, that there is an idea of a minimum age (of consent),” said Fatima Benomar, whose group Les Effrontees has pushed for stronger laws against sexual abusers. “This will make adults more responsible.”

An effort to set France’s first age of consent three years ago in the wake of the global #MeToo movement failed amid legal complications. But it has gained new momentum since accusations emerged last month of incestuous sexual abuse involving a prominent French political expert, Olivier Duhamel. That unleashed an online #MeTooInceste movement in France that led to tens of thousands of similar testimonies.

The Justice Ministry is in discussions with victims’ groups about toughening punishment of incestuous abuse and extending or abolishing the statute of limitations on sexual violence against children, because it creates such deep trauma that it can take decades for victims to speak out. The law currently allows child victims to file complaints until they are 48.

The ministry also says it wants “to ensure that victims of the same perpetrator do not receive different legal treatment,” which could broaden the scope to prosecute those accused of abusing multiple people over decades.

‘Pastor Suleman, shame onto you!’ – Nigerian lawyer residing in Japan

A Nigerian lawyer residing in Japan, Barrister Emeka Akaolisa, has blasted clergyman Apostle Johnson Suleman, who recently said he prays the COVID19 pandemic continues as he bought his 3rd jet during the pandemic.

In a video he shared on social media, Barrister Akaolisa slammed the clergyman for being excited about the pandemic when many of his followers and people in his community have become economically bankrupt due to the pandemic. In the video, he said

”My dear Pastor Suleman, you bought first jet, second jet and then the third jet during Coronavirus, when people are dying.

Pastor Suleman, you have three private jets while Auchi is one of the dirtiest places in the world while Nigeria is one of the poorest places in the world and you have mind to buy the first jet, second jet and the third jet during Coronavirus pandemic when people are dying.

What is wrong with Nigerians? When will our mumu do? I am asking this question? These men are just deceiving people.

If you talk to a Japanese man about Heaven he will ask you what is heaven? Because these people understood the truth while we are brainwashing our people that they are going to heaven to enjoy what they can enjoy here, that is the most wicked thing I have ever seen.

During Coronavirus when people are dying, no food. I and my family had to send the money that the government of this country gave us, to my village to buy palliatives for them and to buy medicine and you used your own money to buy private jet. Pastor Suleman, shame onto you!’

Shatta Wale’s ex-girlfriend, Shatta Michy, laments

Shatta Michy, ex-girlfriend of Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has shared her regret of wasting her youthful age with him.

Michy who spoke in an interview on United Showbiz show on UTV, said she could have achieved an enviable feat if she had focused on her schooling and abandoned Wale’s budding dream at a youthful age.

The singer’s ex-girlfriend also revealed that she had to cut ties with him after their break up because every time spent with him reminded her of the ordeal she endured under the same roof with him.

Michy who has a child from the relationship, further stated that she has learnt several lessons from dating Shatta Wale because they were able to make history.

She said;

“I look so good without Shatta Wale, because if I had been monitoring him the time I would [have] put in it wouldn’t have made me look this good because I have a lot to do.

“When we make mistakes in life we must move from them and make conscious efforts not to go back to them. I don’t think being with him was a mistake because we were making history without making [much] effort,” the ex-girlfriend said.

“I wouldn’t say it was a mistake, but a waste of my youth. I’m 27 now; not a child anymore. It was difficult breaking up with him. Everything was supposed to happen, but I have learnt my lessons with men, friends and [I] appreciate the presence of my son in my life.”

American Pastor offers to replace Leah Sharibu in Boko Haram captivity

An American Pastor Abu Zacharia is in Nigeria to rescue and replace Leah Sharibu who has been in Boko Haram captivity since February 2018. #FreeLeahSharibu

Members of the terrorist group on February 19, 2018, stormed the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College Dapchi, Yobe state where they abducted 110 of the school girls. Five of the girls died during the abduction. The sect members released 104 of the schoolgirls and held on to Leah who refused to denounce her Christian faith. Leah has been in captivity since then.

Zacharia, an American missionary who came in the company of an American-based human rights advocate, Barrister Emmanuel Ogebe, said this is his third trip to Nigeria in the last few weeks to negotiate the release of Leah. He said he is making efforts to meet with Book Haram leaders so that they can take him to replace Leah.

Speaking to newsmen over the weekend, Zacharia said

”I am here in Nigeria, my third trip in four months to negotiate the release of Leah Shuaribu with Boko Haram. What am offering to them is to exchange Leah for myself and I will go into their captivity.

So that is what am planning to do, once they find out that am here, I have already had one meeting with the government official, asking his assistance to have a meeting with Boko Haram. Wherever she is, am willing to go there and exchange myself.

The basic of this is John 15:13 in the gospel “Greater love has no man than a man lays down his life for his brother and his sister. So I am here to, with the permission of my wife of 41 years and five children and nine grand-children, to see if I can negotiate her release. And they will release her and take me instead. And that is my goal.

I have been doing full-time religious freedom work and international Christian humanitarian work in the war-zones. I have been to places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Jordan, Gaza, Sudan and Cuba, among others.”

GoodNews: JAMB and UTME Students Can Now Prepare for Exams Online

Students preparing to write the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams, as well as the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now prepare from the comfort of their homes, instead of having to spend all day in study centres, as is presently the case. This is made possible by Nigeria’s first and only online study platform, 321Exam.

321Exam (www.321exam.com) prepares candidates intensively for external and entrance exams like JAMB, UTME and WAEC. The platform comes with convenience, as students are able to choose where and when to study using their mobile phones, tablets or computers. It means students can now spend more time with family and loved ones, instead of being in study centres all through, with its attendant costs and distractions, especially for teenagers and young adults. Also, students can move at their pace but with a push from 321Exam Support Team.

For quality, the lectures are handled by a select group of A-list tutors recruited from the leading tutorial centres across Nigeria. The quality of delivery is higher than what is received in the most rated physical lecture locations because 321Exam tutors engage in deeper and wider research before taking any topic. The teachings follow the syllabuses for the stated exams, but with superior delivery.

GoodNews: JAMB and UTME Students Can Now Prepare for Exams Online

Students are also saved money on both tuition and logistics. The cost of each course is far lower than what it takes to access same course in any physical lecture centre; secondly, using 321Exam saves students the cost of commuting, as well as the time usually wasted when lectures don’t hold. The time saved can be used for studying on the 321Exam platform.

Parents can also monitor the progress of their wards, as they can log in to check both performance in mock Computer-Based Tests (CBTs) and the child’s learning speed.

Speaking on the take-off of the massive nationwide project, 321Exam’s Head of Operations, Nnaemeka Odunukwe, said the company had come to help students prepare for – and pass – their tertiary education matriculation exams with convenience. ‘With the benefit of experience, we’ve come to make it easier for those seeking admission. You no longer have to travel kilometers away to attend JAMB lectures, with the attendant costs and risks, and the temptation to gist away your time with friends when you can simply sit at home, open your phone or tablet or computer and learn. And as the world struggles with Covid-19, we are helping students stay socially-distanced while studying for their exams. We have brought JAMB tutors to your home. You no longer need to go anywhere. And like I’ve always said, 321Exam is the new school.”

He added that, apart from students being able to test their level of preparedness with CBT on the platform, before entering for the proper exam, there’s an online forum where registered members can have conversations, raise issues they consider important and have other members of the community respond to them. The forum is a community of like minds. There equally is a 24-hour support for candidates.

GoodNews: JAMB and UTME Students Can Now Prepare for Exams Online

Odunukwe said the company would be running a 100%, money-back guarantee, as well as a specially designed affiliate programme where people can refer their friends to signup and then earn money from qualified leads.

‘Don’t be afraid,’ he said, ‘if you sign up with us and feel you don’t like us afterwards, you will have your money fully returned to you. Just tell us you are no longer interested and we give you back your money. You are not losing anything. The risk is entirely on us, not you.’

Odunukwe advised candidates preparing for the next JAMB exams, which is likely to be in April 2021, to act smart by enrolling with 321Exam (www.321exam.com), if they are really serious about scoring enough marks to secure admission this year.

About 321

321 is Nigeria’s first and only online study company. It started business in 2019 with its launch of 321Study (www.321Study.com), a platform that prepares professionals for exams like ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, ATS and others. In less than 2 years of operation, 321 has achieved unprecedented success, helping thousands of students pass their exams with ease.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode reacts on rumours of his defection to APC

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has again commented on rumours of his planned defection to the All Progressives Congress.

FFK in a Facebook post he shared, said he never told anyone he was joining APC neither did he say he was going to remain in PDP which he claimed prosecuted him for seven years and also tried to jail him.

The politician who described himself as the voice of the voiceless and warrior, also countered claims of speaking to two APC Governors because he was broke by stating that he was born into wealth and has never lacked it. He also disclosed that he has 55 domestic staff in his house and they all earn 70,000 naira and above per month.

He wrote;

THE LION THAT CANNOT BE CAGED

Over the last one week millions of Nigerians have expressed concern about which direction I am going politically and much has been said.

Some have gone out of their way to reach out to me and offered their counsel out of genuine love and concern.

Others have not reached out to me and have written or spoken out of ignorance, hate and malice imputing the worst motivations for actions which they claim I have purportedly taken.

This contribution is an attempt to provide answers to just a few of the oftentimes asinine and absurd assertions and observations that the latter group have made.

Some say they warned me and that I have fallen into a trap whilst others say my voice has been silenced, I am a spy and that this signals the end of my political career.

My response to them and others who have conjured up even stranger motivations and conspiracy theories when it comes to FFK is as follows.

To whom it may concern: spare me your crocodile tears and be rest assured that I am too big, too intelligent, too experienced and too forthright to fall into any trap.

It is impossible to castrate a lion, render it impotent or silence its roar.

I stand on all my beliefs, core values and principles. I am the voice of the voiceless, I am a warrior, I fear nothing, I fear no-one, I am as constant as the northern star and I will ALWAYS stand against evil.

Speaking to other leaders across party lines in order to build bridges, engender peace, foster stability and enhance national unity ought not to create such national and international rage, panic and pandemonium.

Are we so divided that we can’t even talk to one another and take pictures together without causing a public stir and setting the Internet on fire?

You insult me and say I am scared of prison because I had a meeting with two APC Governors?

Do you know how many PDP and APC Governors and leaders I interact with and meet regularly? Do you know how many I talk to on a daily basis?

Do you know that I was prosecuted for 7 years by PDP Governments who tried to jail me simply for speaking out against them yet it did not deter me? Ask those that were in the Yar’adua and Jonathan administration.

After a while they got tired because the more they tried to intimidate me into silence or make me flee the country the more I stood my ground and fought my corner till they gave up.

Does that sound like a man that is scared of death or prison?

You insult me and say I am broke because I had talks with two APC Governors.

Do you know that I spend more on my monthly salary bill in one month than some of these people that are claiming I am broke earn in 5 or 10 years.

I have 55 domestic staff in my house alone. Not one of them gets below 70,000 naira per month which is higher than the national minimum wage.

I do not owe salaries and I feed each of them three square meals every day. I do all this just to help them and to ensure they can look after and feed their families. Does that sound like a broke man to you?

That is my little contribution to the welfare of our people because I certainly do not need so many staff. I employ them just to keep them off the unemployment line.

Apart from that do you know how many people I give scholarships to and how many peoples children I feed and educate? Do you know how many other families I am responsible for in terms of day to day living?

The Bible says be your brothers keeper and I do these things unto the Lord. I do them and I will never stop even when my good is repaid with evil.

The Lord has always provided for me and given me the fat of the land. He has always caused me to be a blessing to others though I do not make noise about it.

For the last 60 years of my life He has been good to me. He has caused me to excel, prosper and flourish and from beginning to end He has always been with me and mine.

You say I make money through politics meanwhile I left public office in 2007 which is 13 years ago! Does that make sense to you? In any case is politics my only source of income in the world?

Am I your conventional politician who craves for elective office? Do I even attend their meetings? I have been in this game since 1990! Do you know that?

I have been making my contributions to current affairs, political discourse and politics for the last 31 years which is long before most of today’s Governors or Ministers even knew the meaning of the word.

And it was always a struggle which involved sacrifice. Where were my detractors when I was in NADECO and fought against military rule?

The records are there and so are the essays and some of the people I worked with.

Where were they when we set up September Club in 1989 and some of the nations greatest leaders and elder statesmen and top politicians over the last 30 years, including Presidents, Governors, Ministers and legislators across party lines, were members.

Where were they in the days of NRC, SDP and Choice ’92 when politics was real, when the greats held sway and when men honored their word.

Where were they when we risked all for MKO Abiola’s stolen mandate and June 12th and even had to go into exile for years because of it?

Where were they when we stood against the annulment of June 12th and fought against the Government of General Sani Abacha?

Where were they when we formed the Progressive Action Movement in 1999 and some of the nations brightest and best young stars and minds made their contribution to national affairs?

Where were they when we fought against Senator Ali Modu Sheriff who was sent to high jack and destroy the PDP?

Where were they when I led President Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential campaign in 2015 and took the battle to the gates of the enemy?

Where were they when I stood behind President Olusegun Obasanjo and faced down ALL his detractors?

Where were they when I was targetted and almost assassinated om two separate occassions during the Obasanjo Presidency simply because I was the President’s defender in chief and armour bearer and was totally committed to his cause?

I did all this in the past and present and you say I am making money from it? Do you know the risks involved in these things?

Do you know I could have been killed together with members of my family long ago and most certainly would have had it not been for God?

Can my detractors give up so much and risk so much just for politics? Honestly it really is the deepest insult.

Some of us were born into wealth and have never lacked it. We were born into politics too. We were born into the circles of power so nothing moves us.

For us politics is a noble calling and not a profession. It is about proferring solutions to complex national issues and not about the acquisition of primitive wealth.

We gave up all for the struggle for democracy and the opportunity to help to develop our country and move her forward and now we are insulted and mocked and told we did it for money? Which money?

How much can I be bought or bribed with? All the money in the world could not move me because I have never lacked it.

What have I not had or enjoyed in life from a very young age? Where have I not been?

I came to the conclusion long ago that all is vanity and that material wealth means nothing. I would never sacrifice my principles or integrity for it.

Mallam Abba Kyari, the President’s late and powerful Chief of Staff, was my brother for over 40 years and we interacted regularly whilst he was in power.

I never asked him for ANYTHING from his Government just as I never asked or got ANYTHING from any of the previous Federal Governments between 2007 and 2021.

If I had done so I would not have been able to criticise those Governments publicly and I would have been exposed. You cannot criticise where you eat from.

I did not join APC when Abba was in Government and I did not compromise my principles when I could have asked him for anything I chose in return since he had the ear of the President.

I respected and loved him for who he was and NOT for the position he held and the feeling was mutual.

I opposed his Government in spite of our friendship and did not share his views yet we remained friends because our friendship was well above politics.

That is what civilised people do. They agree to disagree and respect each others views. They never let it come between their friendship.

I opposed Abba’s Government and risked losing an old and loyal friend and brother because I believed passionately in all I said. I believed all that I said then and I still believe it today.

All that and now you dare to question my resolve and consistency? It is laughable.

You say I am inconsitent. Meanwhile I have been more consistent in my views over the last 30 years than 95% of Nigerian leader and I have stuck to my guns despite all manner of persecution and suffering!

You say I have no relevance meanwhile millions all over the world read my words avidly every day and follow my actions religiously because I inspire them due to the fact that I have always had the courage of my convictions and I have always spoken truth to power.

Unlike most politicians I actually inspire people and give them hope. And most important of all they trust me and trust my judgement.

They have also acknowledged the fact thst more often than not my words are prophetic and I have displayed remarkable insight and foresight when it comes to national affairs.

How many of your so-called “relevant” leaders have done that? How many of them have displayed such courage under fire for years on end?

How many of them can have their newspaper columns in three national dailies closed over the years due to threats to the publishers from the Government and yet keep writing his essays on social media with millions of people all over the world still reading them and receiving the message?

How many of them can be blacklisted by the nations newspapers and television stations with threatenjng orders from above and still keep talking?

How many of them across party lines can mould the thoughts and guide millions in this way with their counsel, words, actions and thoughts?

First 7 years of persecution under PDP then 5 years of persecution under APC! HOW many of your leaders can stand such fire and pain and still fight on?

Almost all of them ever do is sell you down the river, tell you lies, ignore your pain, deceive you, mock you, use you and give you crumbs in return for your acclamation, support and loyalty but you love them for that.

You say I am scared of even more persecution. At the age of 60 you believe I am scared?

What more can they do to me that they have not done already? And what more am I looking for in life that I have not enjoyed over the years?

Yet you say I am scared! And those that say so can barely endure one tenth of what I have endured.

Some of them make noise from the safety of other countries and stay away from Nigeria out of fear of being locked up yet they mock those of us that live on the doorsteps of our oppressors in Nigeria and dare them to their faces.

Some of them have not been able to face hardship or deprivation and neither can they bear it when their rights are being violated.

Yet to many of us this has become the norm ahd we are used to it yet we still continue to struggle and fight the system regardless. Let me give you just one example.

Do you know that I have not been able to travel out of Nigeria for the last 13 years because my passport was first seized by a PDP Government for 8 and then by an APC Government for 5?

Do you know that I could not even go for medical check ups outside the country because of that?

Did you ever hear me complain or did this ever stop me from speaking truth to power, standing firm against injustice or speaking up for the weak, the persecuted and the voiceless?

Do you know I was locked up by both PDP and APC Federal Governments for no just cause?

Do you know I was even locked up in Boko Haram detention centers with Boko Haram suspects and convicts?

Do you know that only terrorists were kept in the facility that they kept me? Do you know that that place is worst than Gauntanamo Bay and that it was built by the British Government?

Do you know how terrifying that was and that I could have been killed or maimed whilst there?

Yet did you ever hear me complain about it, submit, compromise, give up or back down from criticising the Government or previous Governments because of these trials and tribulations?

How many of your so-called “relevant” and “great” leaders can bear such torment and injustice without cracking? Did you ever see or hear me crack? Did I ever break?

Do you know what horrors my first wife Regina and my daughter Remi were subjected to by a PDP Government? Do you know why they had to go into exile and live abroad?

Do you know what hell my ex-wife Precious and first son Aragorn were subjected to by the APC Government?

Do you know the tears we shed secretly and the number of times we suffered and were forced to go underground for no just cause?

Do you know the kind of stress and torment this put us through? Do you know that all our bank accounts have been frozen for five years?

Did all that stop me or stop us from standing? Did we not endure and bear it all with dignity for years and still continue to make our contribution to national affairs with zeal and passion.

Yet leaders like me that make these sacrifices and speak truth you describe as having no relevance, no consistency and you hate.

You mock, ridicule, insult and believe the very worst about us at the drop of a hat. Some even have the nerve and effontry to say we are not politicians simply because we have not run for elective office.

It is those who speak truth and that are courageous enough to expose and confront evil that you hate, judge and always think and assume the worse of at the drop of a hat.

Do you know that despite facing the most vicious persecution and prosecution for 7 long years the court found me not guilty of corruption whilst I was Minister of Aviation and Minister of Culture and Tourism and acquitted and discharged me?

How many of your leaders can endure going to court for seven years before 4 different judges and in the midst of a vicious media witch hunt in which most people who knew nothing about the case had declared me guilty?

How many of you could have survived that without capitulating, cracking, begging and bending the knee?

Do you know that I have been facing prosecution for the last 5 years in two separate courts for doing absolutely nothing wrong except leading a presidential campaign against Buhari and for Jonathan in 2015 and as a consequence of politically-motivated and malicious charges which were filed only because of my bitter and vicious opposition to the Buhari Government?

Do you know that under my tenure as Minister of Aviation there were no plane crashes whilst the year before I came in there were 5 and 453 died in those crashes?

Do you know that I put a stop to those crashes and that I am the only Minister of Aviation in Nigerian history under which there were NO plane crashes?

Do you know that despite all the challenges and persecution I was recently polled by 85% of the readers of Vanguard Newspaper that I was the loudest and most consistent voice of opposition against the Buhari Government over the last five years?

All this yet you label me a coward and someone that has achieved nothing?

Do you know that most of those leaders you rever and love so much are cowards who are unable and unwilling to risk all and speak truth to power.

All they are able to do is to mislead you and their followers to hate and insult those of us that really care for you.

Honestly some people need mental health checks and medical attention!

And for anyone to say I will not be welcome in a party that I have not publicly expressed a desire to join amazes me.

The joker that claimed I was rejected by the APC needs to tell me where and when I applied to join them and what my registration number was!

Did I tell you I am leaving PDP for APC? Or did I tell anyone that I will stay in PDP forever no matter what happens or no matter what they do to me or to the country?

You see unlike most I am a one man army and riot squad and I am accountable to no man or party. I am only accountable to God!

Unlike most I do not do things in the dark and I do not shy away from speaking the truth or my mind once it is set.

When and if I ever choose to make a move I will be clear and categorical and I will let the world know so hold your hate fire till we get to that bridge.

Yet know this: I owe no-one any explanation for what I will do or will not do tomorrow, I will gladly live with the consequences of my actions and decisions and I will defend myself and explain my actions when I choose to do so if I believe it is ever necessary.

I do not know what the details are yet but before 2023 there WILL be many realignments and new alliances. Both parties will see many shifts and many individuals will change sides.

This is because we must get it right in 2023 and we must ensure that whoever takes power at the center, regardless of party affiliation, restructures our country and takes our nation to the promise land.

We must build bridges and secure the peace, unity and progress of this country and most important of all we must avoid civil war and do all we can to save our nation from armed conflict and fratricidal butchery.

That is the challenge before us today and that is the reality of Nigerian politics.

Whilst others meet secretly and hide from the cameras in their quest to achieve these objectives, I will not. I am the beloved of the Lord and I am a LION!

No man born of woman can silence my roar!

I am who I am. I am FFK.
