‘Any man who beats a woman is worst than a Goat’ – Apostle Suleman (video)

Clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has described men who beat a woman as animals.

While speaking in his church recently, the clergyman said;

”Any man that beats his wife is destroying the future marriage of his sons. When you beat your wife, you are teaching your son that women deserve to be beaten. They will repeat the same thing.

The highest level of weakness is for a man to beat a woman. He is saying he has failed in maturity, he has lost his manhood. In fact he is un-man. To lift your hand and hit a woman, you have failed in dialogue, you have failed in maturity, you have failed in emotional restriction. It is an exhibition of failure. Inability to contain yourself. An animal is better than you.

Animals don’t beat their spouse. Any man that beats a woman is less than an animal. A goat is better than you.

You are not beating your wife because you are angry. You are beating your wife because you are stupid. You are beating your wife because you feel nobody can beat you. Has a policeman not stopped you before and asked you to come down and lie down? Why didn’t you beat him?”

For men who say they were angry and couldn’t control themselves, the clergyman told them

“For me to believe you can’t control yourself, just get angry and enter a barrack.

The United Arab Emirates reinstates ban on Nigerian flights

The United Arab Emirates has reinstated its ban on Nigerian fligts barely48 hours after announcing resumption of flights to Nigeria.

Though UAE authorities had initially fixed Wednesday, June 23, 2021, for resumption of flights to Nigeria, Emirates which is UAE flag carrier has again announced indefinite suspension of flights to Nigeria.

A statement shared on the airline’s website read;

“In line with government directives, passenger flights to and from Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) are suspended with effect from 21 June 2021 until further notice.

“Customers travelling to and from Lagos and Abuja will not be accepted for travel. Customers who have been to or connected through Nigeria in the last 14 days are not permitted to board from any other point to the UAE.

“We regret the inconvenience caused, and affected customers should contact their booking agent or Emirates call centre for rebooking. Emirates remains committed to Nigeria, and we look forward to resuming passenger services when conditions allow.”

Joe Biden will open doors to 10,000 deported asylum seekers whose claims were dismissed under Trump

The agency revealed that registration begins on Wednesday, June 23 for asylum-seekers who were subject to the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy and either had their cases dismissed or denied for failing to appear in court.

It’s not clear how many would be eligible but it’s estimated to be over 10,000.

Michele Klein Solomon, the International Organization for Migration´s director for North America, Central America and the Caribbean, told the AP that she expected at least 10,000.

There are nearly 7,000 asylum-seekers whose cases were dismissed – the vast majority in San Diego – and more than 32,000 whose cases were denied, mostly in Texas, according to Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, so it could surpass the estimated 10,000.

Many migrants have left the Mexican border region, thinking their cases were finished, but now there is the possibility that they will make the dangerous journey to return.

The administration has said it is aware of those dangers and will do it’s best to reunite families that remain separated years after Trump’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy on illegal crossings.

The move is another significant effort at redress for Trump policies.

Biden halted Trump’s immigration policy his first day in office and has allowed an estimated 26,000 asylum-seekers with active cases to return to the United States while their cases play out, a process that can take years in a court system backlogged with more than 1.3 million cases.

Vanessa Bryant settles lawsuit with helicopter firm in Kobe Bryant crash

Vanessa Bryant and other familes have settled their lawsuit against the company that operated the helicopter involved in the crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others last year.

Plaintiffs in the suit included Bryant and her three surviving daughters, John James and Alexis Altobelli, Christopher Chester and his two surviving children and Matthew Mauser and his three children.

The group had previously filed suit against Island Express Helicopters, Inc., Island Express Holding Corp., the estate of pilot Ara George Zobayan and OC Helicopters LLC.

“The material terms of the settlement and releases are known to the settling parties and include that the terms of the settlement are confidential,” the court filing states.

“The settling parties are currently finalizing settlement documents, which includes the necessary documentation for approving compromise of the minors’ claims.”

On the morning of January 26, 2020, a Sikorsky S-76B helicopter carrying the nine people had departed from John Wayne Airport in Orange County and was bound for Camarillo, with the passengers on board heading to Kobe’s Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, where Kobe was set to coach Gianna in a tournament game.

However, the helicopter crashed in Calabasas amid heavy fog, killing everyone on board.

Also killed in the crash was 56-year-old John Altobelli, a longtime coach of the Orange Coast College baseball team, his 46-year-old wife Keri and their 13-year-old daughter Alyssa, who was a teammate of Gianna’s.

Sarah Chester, 45, and her 13-year-old daughter Payton, who also played with Gianna, died as well, along with 38-year-old Christina Mauser, one of Bryant’s assistant coaches on the Mamba Academy team.

The 50-year-old pilot, Ara Zobayan, was also killed.

Spain’s Govt. Pardons 9 imprisoned Catalan leaders for the failed secession attempt

Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez has pardoned nine leaders serving prison sentences for their roles in Catalonia’s failed secession attempt, the European nation has announced.

Catalonia is the wealthy, restive northeastern region  of Spain whose capital is Barcelona.

For decades many of its citizens have clamored for independence from Spain, causing rift in the region.

The pardons, approved by the Spanish cabinet and announced at a news conference, made good on recent promises by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to reconcile with a separatist movement that in 2017 rocked Spain with an independence referendum.

Spain’s courts declared the vote illegal and the government ordered a crackdown, confiscating ballots and even sending in riot squads to beat many who tried to vote.

Officials also ordered wide-ranging arrests, including those of the nine politicians and independence activists, who were originally given sentences between nine and 13 years, on charges that included sedition and misuse of public funds. The prisoners were jailed about three and a half years ago.

In an announcement from the prime minister’s palace, Mr. Sánchez offered a conciliatory tone that signaled a shift from past confrontational stances by the government against the prisoners. He said pardoning them was in the public interest.

“It’s best for Catalonia, it’s best for Spain,” he said.

The government did not offer complete pardons to the prisoners, however, maintaining bans on holding political office for a number of them who previously had been politicians.

“It’s best for Catalonia and for Spain and it’s in accord with the Spanish Constitution,” Sanchez said in a nationally-televised statement. “The government will work for understanding and not for confrontation.”

Among those receiving pardons were Oriol Junqueras, the former deputy leader of Catalonia; Raül Romeva, who had been in charge of foreign affairs for the former Catalan government; Jordi Sànchez, who headed a pro-independence group; and Jordi Cuixart, the president of Omnium Cultural, a Barcelona-based cultural organization.

Separatist leaders who fled the country to avoid prosecution, including former Catalan President Carles Puigdemont, did not receive clemency and Spain still considers them fugitives.

Puigdemont has lived for more than three years in Belgium, which has declined to extradite him, and he won election in 2019 to one of Spain’s seats in the European Parliament.

Liverpool football star, Sadio Mane donates $693,000 to fund hospital in Senegal

Liverpool winger, Sadio Mane has made a donation of $693,000 (£500,000) to help fund the construction of a hospital in his hometown of Bambali in Senegal.

The village located 400 kilometers outside the capital city Dakar, did not previously have a hospital according to local reports.

Senegalese President Macky Sall met with Mane earlier this month to discuss the hospital project, which will include departments for maternity care, dental facilities and consulting rooms.

Mane shared his enthusiasm for the project, tweeting: “Very honored by the audience that the Head of State, His Excellency @Macky_Sall granted me. A good time to discuss football but also our social projects.”

In 2019, Mane donated close to $350,000 (£250,000) to build a school in Bambali. The year before he also gifted 300 Liverpool shirts to his home village so that residents could wear them during the Champions League final.

‘Twitter gave IPOB the platform to promote violence’ – Lai Mohammed

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has alleged that the operation of social media giant Twitter in the country is illegal.

In his presentation before members of the House Representatives Joint Committee on the suspension of Twitter at the National Assembly in Abuja on Tuesday June 22, Mohammed said  Twitter was used to disseminate information that “that endangers the life and security” of Nigerians and cause disunity in the country.

He also maintained that the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020 does not permit foreign companies to do business in Nigeria if not registered.

The Minister said;

“As it regards that operation of a foreign companies in Nigeria, the law provides that a foreign company which fails to take necessary steps to obtain incorporation as a separate entity in Nigeria for that purpose, but until so incorporated, the foreign company shall not carry on business in Nigeria or exercise any powers of a registered company.

“Hence, flowing from this background a foreign company as Twitter cannot be clothed with the legitimate rights to operate as a company registered in Nigeria, as they are not licensed accordingly.

“Notwithstanding the foregoing, it is also observed that the operations of Twitter in the Nigerian social space is not legally permissible when it is used in airing of information that endangers the life and security of the majority of citizens of Nigeria.

“The principles of law are clear on the exercise of personal human rights in the face of national security threats which affects the larger citizen.”

Mohammed who stressed that Twitter’s suspension is backed by international laws including articles 24, 25 and 26 of the African Union on Cyber Security and Personal Data Protection (CCPR), also alleged that the social media giant provided a platform for secessionist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to promote violence in the country.

He said;

“Following the above, the federal government of Nigeria is further empowered to take all reasonable steps to defend its cyberspace where it perceives or finds that a cyber-crime, is threatened to be committed, has been committed, or is being committed on and through its cyberspace.

“In the circumstance, the decision of the Federal Government to ban the activities of Twitter for being a national security threat is well founded in law in light of the fact that the platform affords IPOB, an organisation already proscribed by the Federal High Court, to champion its seditious and terrorist based activities.”

Sun Yang, Chinese Swimming Icon, banned for four years for breaking anti-doping rule

Chinese swimmer star Sun Yang has bee banned for more than four years on for breaking anti-doping rules.

The ban was confirmed on Tuesday June 22, following a retrial at the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The court’s verdict ends his hopes of defending his Olympic title in the 200 meters freestyle in Tokyo next month.

According to Mail Online, the ban is backdated to February 2020, meaning Sun could return for the 2024 Paris Olympics when he would be 32.

The judges found Sun ‘to have acted recklessly’ when he refused to let anti-doping officials leave his home with a sample of his blood, the court said.

Sun denied wrongdoing and his original eight-year ban imposed last year was overturned on appeal to Switzerland’s supreme court which ordered a fresh prosecution.

Federal judges ruled the first guilty verdict unsafe because the chairman of the three-judge panel at CAS showed anti-Chinese bias in social media comments.

The retrial was reportedly heard by three new judges by video over three days last month and fast-tracked ahead of the Tokyo Olympics opening on July 23.

The doping case was about a failed attempt to take blood and urine from Sun by a sample collection team who made an unannounced visit to his home in China in September 2018.

The visit sparked a confrontation between the officials and Sun’s entourage who then reportedly smashed the casing of a blood vial with a hammer so that it would not be valid for testing.

The World Anti-Doping Agency appealed to CAS when a tribunal appointed by swimming’s governing body, FINA, only warned the three-time Olympic champion about his conduct.

A change this year to FINA’s rules in anti-doping cases meant the eight-year ban for a second offense could be reduced. This amendment ‘represents a newly flexible approach,’ the court said.

Sun won a total of 11 golds in five straight world championships from 2011 to 2019, at each freestyle distance from 200 to 1,500.

Over 4,000 fully vaccinated people in the U.S. have tested positive for COVID-19 – New data shows

Nearly 4,000 fully vaccinated people in Massachusetts, US, have tested positive for COVID-19, according to new data from the state Department of Public Health.

The number of breakthrough cases in the state has accounted for approximately one in 1,000 vaccinated people.

According to the state Department of Public Health, as of June 12, there were 3,791 coronavirus cases among the more than 3.7 million fully vaccinated individuals in Massachusetts.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, large-scale clinical studies have found that COVID-19 vaccination prevented most people from getting the virus. Still, no vaccine is 100% effective at preventing the disease and there will be “a small percentage of fully vaccinated people who still get sick, are hospitalized, or die from COVID-19.”

“We’re learning that many of the breakthrough infections are asymptomatic or they’re very mild and brief in duration,” said Boston University infectious diseases specialist Davidson Hamer, according to the Boston Herald.

“The viral load is not very high.”

“Breakthroughs are expected, and we need to better understand who’s at risk and whether people who have a breakthrough can transmit the virus to others,” he continued.

“In some cases, they’ll be shedding such low levels of the virus and won’t be transmitting to others.”

“Testing to identify current infection remains critical to control of COVID-19,” a DPH spokeswoman said.

“People with current infection can spread the virus to others and isolation of cases and identification of close contacts (individuals who may have been exposed) is a foundation of public health response.”

A new study from the CDC showed that Pfizer and Moderna are about 90% effective against infection two weeks after the last dose has passed while the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine is about 72% effective against moderate to severe disease.

Laurent Gbagbo, Former Cote D’Ivoire President, files for divorce from wife to end their 30-year union

vory Coast’s former president Laurent Gbagbo has filed for divorce from his wife of three decades at the age of 76, his lawyer said.

His lawyer, Claude Mentenon said in a statement on Monday that after years of “rejected requests for Simone Ehivet to consent to an amicable separation”, the ex-president had asked an Abidjan court for a divorce.

The ex-president has been in a relationship for several years with 47-year-old former journalist Nady Bamba.

The shocking announcement comes four days after Gbagbo returned to Ivory Coast following a decade’s absence, during which he was tried for crimes against humanity during the post-election conflict of 2010-11.

In April 2011, Simone Gbagbo was arrested alongside her husband after he refused to concede defeat, sparking a conflict that left some 3,000 people dead.

Gbagbo was sent to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, where he was definitively acquitted in March after a lengthy trial.

Simone Gbagbo was sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment in Ivory Coast for “violating state security”, but was released in 2018 after seven years of detention as part of an amnesty.

Gbagbo’s homecoming comes after his once-bitter rival, current President Alassane Ouattara, embraced his return in the name of national reconciliation.

Laurent and Simone Gbagbo, who have two daughters, married in 1989 and campaigned alongside each other for the introduction of multi-party elections in the 1990s.

During the sit-down, Kevin opened up about dealing with his 2017 cheating controversy and how he explained the situation to his 16-year-old daughter, who he says was tough on him following the cheating scandal.  The father of four, who married Eniko Parrish in August 2016, shares Heaven and 13-year-old son Hendrix with ex-wife Torrei Hart.

The 36-year-old model was eight months pregnant with the couple’s first child when the comedian cheated on her. He issued a public apology on September 16, 2017.

“You know, when me and my wife [Eniko] went through what we went through and the whole cheating display, my talk with Heaven—goddamn,” Kevin said. “That was one like no other.”

He continued, “Getting my daughter back, getting my daughter to understand that I was sorry, that I made a mistake—that was real. To understand, like, I’m still Dad. You’re reading stuff. This is a child, right? Every child has the Internet. There’s nothing that you’re gonna come across that you’re gonna read that isn’t gonna have an impression. A child? Everything has a meaning.”

The comedian added, “My daughter was tough on me! Until this day, my daughter is tough on me. My daughter don’t play no games with her father, man.”

In September 2017, Kevin posted a public apology on Instagram to then-pregnant wife Eniko for his “bad error in judgment” and added, “Sending so many apologies to my wife & kids. I gotta do better and I will.”

Eniko, who shares 3-year-old son Kenzo and 8-month-old daughter Kaori with the star, later revealed during the documentary series Kevin Hart: Don’t F–k This Up that she still gets “sensitive every time I talk about” the cheating scandal.

On Red Table Talk, Kevin also recalled the discussion he had with Heaven about the situation surrounding his resurfaced homophobic tweets, which forced him to step down as host of the 2019 Oscars ceremony.

“When the whole thing started to happen with the LGBTQ+ community and the misconception of me, and what I was, and what I am, and what I feel, my daughter was so upset because she couldn’t process how people could think this about her father,” the Ride Along performer explained. “And it was so tough because this is when I started to realize how my fame has an impact on my household, right? There’s a certain level of obliviousness.”

The event was reportedly hosted by Drake and held at a mansion.

Philippines President, Rodrigo Duterte has threatened to jail people who refuse to be vaccinated against the coronavirus as his country battles the pandemic, with more than 1.3 million cases and 23,000 deaths.

As of June 20, Philippine authorities had fully vaccinated 2.1 million people, but the government has target to immunize up to 70 million people in the country of 110 million this year.

“You choose, vaccine or I will have you jailed,” Duterte said in a televised address on Monday, June 21 following reports of low turnouts at several vaccination sites in the capital, Manila.

Health officials in the country have said that while people are urged to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, it was voluntary.

“Don’t get me wrong, there is a crisis in this country,” Duterte said. “I’m just exasperated by Filipinos not heeding the government.”

Duterte also stood by his decision not to let schools reopen as critics claim he has been high-handed in the way he has handled the covid-19 outbreak in his country  so far..

Duterte then took a swipe at the International Criminal Court, after an ICC prosecutor had sought permission from the court for a full inquiry into the killing of drug lords and peddlers in the Philippines.

Duterte in March 2018 canceled the Philippines’ membership of the ICC’s founding treaty, and in his Monday address repeated he will not cooperate with the probe, describing the ICC as “bulls**t.”

“Why would I defend or face an accusation before White people. You must be crazy,” said Duterte.

ECOWAS Court restrains Nigerian Govt. from prosecuting people using Twitter

The federal government has been restrained by the ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja from prosecuting Twitter users.

Recall that Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami had threatened to prosecute those violating FG’s ban on Twitter’s operation in Nigeria through the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) had also ordered all radio and television stations to deactivate their Twitter accounts.

Following the ban and subsequent threat of prosecution, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and 176 concerned Nigerians challenged the decision before the ECOWAS Court.

Ruling on the case after hearing arguments from Solicitor to SERAP, Femi Falana SAN, and lawyer to the government, Maimuna Shiru, the court restrained the Federal government from unlawfully imposing sanctions or harass, intimidate, arrest or prosecute Twitter and/or any other social media service provider(s), media houses, radio and television broadcast stations, the Plaintiffs and other Nigerians who are Twitter users, pending the hearing and determination of this suit.”

The court which noted that the “unlawful suspension of Twitter in Nigeria, criminalization of Nigerians and other people using Twitter have escalated repression of human rights and unlawfully restricted the rights of Nigerians and other people to freedom of expression, access to information, and media freedom in the country”, added that it has ” listened very well to the objection by Nigeria.”

The court however said that “any interference with Twitter is viewed as inference with human rights, and that will violate human rights. Therefore, this court has jurisdiction to hear the case. The court also hereby orders that the application be heard expeditiously. The Nigerian government must take immediate steps to implement the order.”

Lionel Messi earned his 147th cap for Argentina appearance, beating records

Lionel Messi hints that he is leaving his club

Superstar footballer, Lionel Messi has now earned his 147th cap for Argentina, equaling Javier Mascherano’s all-time appearance record for La Albiceleste.

The Barcelona superstar achieved the record on Monday night June 21, after he started in his country’s 1-0 Copa América win over Paraguay, helping them through to the quarterfinals.

Papu Gómez’s 10th-minute goal was enough to earn a narrow win and maintain Argentina’s unbeaten start to the tournament.

Messi, who turns 34 on Thursday, is already his country’s record goalscorer with 73 goals at the international level.

Swedish Government dissolved Yesterday

The Swedish government collapsed on Monday after Prime Minister Stefan Löfven lost a confidence vote against him. But what happens next?
It might take some time before we get a definite answer to that question, because the Prime Minister Stefan Löfven has seven days to make a decision.

Then, there are basically two possible options: he could call a snap election, or resign, sparking a new round of negotiations between the political parties aimed at forming a new government.

This is a political process where the speaker holds talks with all party leaders to work out who’s got the best chance at forming a government.

There is no time limit on how long this can take (after the September 2018 election the negotiations took more than four months) but there is a limit on how many prime ministerial candidates the speaker can propose: after four candidates, a snap election must be called to break the deadlock.

The seats in parliament are divided the same way they were last time, so the big question is whether any of the parties have changed their mind on which side they would support.

Löfven’s minority government was based on a 72-point deal with the conservative Centre and Liberal parties. One of those points related to introducing market rents on a limited scale by potentially allowing landlords to freely set rents for newly constructed apartments, and that’s what led to the current crisis. The Left Party was not included in the deal and strongly opposes market rents, but its support was needed to prop up the government.
But don’t rule out Löfven returning. There is a possibility he would be successful in a talmansrunda, if he can gain the support of the Centre, Liberal and Left parties again.

However, the Liberal Party have recently said they would rather see a right-wing government, even if that means some cooperation with the far-right Sweden Democrats.

If a snap election is called, either shortly after the no-confidence vote or after unsuccessful attempts to form a new government through the talmansrunda process, it needs to happen no later than three months after its announcement, so around September 2021.

Recent political polls show that Löfven’s Social Democrats would get fewer votes in a fresh election; what’s more, the Liberals, currently acting as a support party for the government, have said they would campaign for a conservative government in new elections. But those polls also showed both the Liberals and the Green Party below the four percent threshold needed to get representation in parliament.

If there is a September 2021 election, the election already scheduled for September 2022 would still go ahead as planned, due to laws about fixed terms of office in Sweden.

Ex. Japan justice minister jailed for vote-buying

A previous Japanese justice minister received a three-year jail term on Friday for vote-buying in an attempt to get his wife elected to a national office, local media said.

Katsuyuki Kawai, 58, was found guilty of charges that he distributed 29 million yen ($260,000 at today’s rates) to about 100 people in 2019, to help secure an upper house seat for his wife Anri, national broadcaster NHK said.

He was fined 1.3 million yen ($11,800) in addition to the jail term, local media added. Officials at the Tokyo District Court could not immediately confirm the reports. Katsuyuki, a close confidant of former prime minister Shinzo Abe, had reversed his earlier claims of innocence and broadly conceded the allegations against him.

Nigeria Customs Service to impound unverified Private Jets from July 6, 2021

Nigeria Customs Service has announced that from July 6, 2021 private jets in the country with unverified documents will be impounded.

Public Relations Officer of NCS, Joseph Attah told newsmen on Monday June 21 that private jet owners have been given a one-month grace period in line with an ongoing audit of privately-owned aircraft operating in Nigeria.

Attah who said there are indications that some people brought in aircraft under the Temporary Import Permit (PIP), asked owners of private aircraft or their representatives to report to the Customs headquarters in Abuja before July 6, with the necessary documents that include Aircraft Certificate of Registration, NCAA’s Flight Operations Compliance Certificate (FOCC), NCAA’s Maintenance Compliance Certificate (MCC), NCAA’s Permit for non-Commercial Flights (PNCF) and Temporary Import Permit (TIP) where applicable.

The NCS spokesperson said;

“The Service believes that owners of private aircraft are highly-placed individuals who would be willing to comply with extant laws of the land governing importation of the aircraft they own, this includes payments of all appropriate duties and taxes.

“The period for such temporary importation for some of the aircraft, has expired and they have neither renewed nor re-exported the aircraft in line with extant laws governing that in Nigeria. At the end of the verification, some of the things we are suspecting will come to light and we will make further details known.

“As agency of government responsible for enforcement of laws governing imports and exports in Nigeria, NCS will not hesitate to invoke appropriate sanctions on any defaulting private aircraft owner immediately after the expiration of the verification period on Tuesday July 6, 2021.”

He added that the essence of the holistic audit is to ensure that all aircraft privately owned in the country were properly imported and cleared with all appropriate taxes paid.

The Department of State Services (DSS) releases Kano Singer detained for Blasphemy

The Department of State Services (DSS) has released an Islamic singer, Ahmad Abdul, taking into custody after releasing a blasphemous song.

DailyTrust reports that Abdul was picked by the security agents for releasing the uncensored song titled ‘Barhama Gwaska’, perceived as blasphemous and capable of creating chaos in the state. The DSS had said it took the singer into protective custody to avert likely violent reactions against him from Kano residents.

While in detention, Abdul tendered an apology to the entire Muslim community, Kano state government, and Islamic scholars.

Confirming his release from custody today June 21, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Films and Video Censorship Board, Ismaila Na’abba Afakallah, said he had received hundreds of petitions against the song from concerned citizens. Afakallah said he reported the singer to the DSS which later arrested him at a hotel where he had been hiding for days to save him from the mob.

“He has been released as he regretted and apologised over his offence, promising not to repeat it” Afakallah said

“Unfortunately his (Fury) team let the whole boxing world down” – Anthony Joshua

Heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua has stated that he must fight Tyson Fury no matter what happens in his next fight.

A court arbitration in the US ruled that Fury must fight Deontay Wilder causing the collapse of the fight between Fury and Joshua.

Fury and Wilder will now clash on July 24 in Las Vegas in a third WBC heavyweight title fight while Joshua will defend his IBF, WBA and WBO gold against mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk in late September at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

According to Joshua who is the WBO, IBO and IBF champion, Tyson’s team is to blame for their proposed fight breaking down but insists thr world title clash ‘has to happen’ in the future because it is “bigger than boxing, bigger than the belts”.

Joshua told Sky Sports News  “Unfortunately his (Fury) team let the whole boxing world down.”

He said about fighting Fury in the future: “I will still be here, still ready to put on a show.

“End of the year. Let me get past Usyk first. But with or without Usyk in my life, I will fight Fury.

“Usyk isn’t the be-all and end-all.

“Usyk doesn’t determine the Fury fight. The Fury fight has to happen. It’s a big fight, bigger than boxing, bigger than the belts.

“It will happen. After the Usyk fight, after I defend my belts.

“The fight will be bigger, better than what it would have been.”

Last week, Fury exclusively told Sky Sports about Joshua’s team: “I’ve got to get past Wilder then those guys will get their five minutes of fame. I’ll give them the biggest beatdown they have had in their lives.

“I’ll deal with these guys later – the most important thing to me is Wilder, the most dangerous heavyweight in the world who would knock out Joshua in the first round.

“As I’ve told [Joshua’s promoter] Eddie Hearn, the difference between me and them is they are businessmen and I’m a Spartan.”

Joshua responding to Fury’s claims said: “I am 100 per cent sure that I will fight him and win. You’ve got to ask him the same question.

“I’m not too sure [what he would say].

“We did everything. During a global pandemic, the toughest time to organise a fight like that, we managed to have 20,000 fans available, a site fee, the media ready, my name was on the contract, I was in training.

“Then boom, they cancelled.

“I stay ready to fight them all because I’m a throwback fighter.”

Khloe Kardashian confirms the speculation that she had plastic surgery

Khloe Kardashian is finally setting the record straight after years of speculation that she had plastic surgery procedures

The reality star and mother of one made the disclosure during part 2 of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians: The Final Curtain reunion special on Sunday.

She also addressed the intense criticism of her appearance after accusations about her use of cosmetic surgery.

“For me, everyone says, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s had her third face transplant!'” Khloe reflected. “I’ve had one nose job!”

Khloe went on to tell host Andy Cohen, “Everyone gets so upset, like, why don’t I talk about it? No one’s ever asked me! You’re the first person that’s ever asked me in an interview about my nose.”

“I’ve done, sure, injections,” Khloe continued, adding, “Not really Botox. I’ve responded horribly to Botox.”

She went on to explain that she became increasingly insecure and unsure of herself and her appearance due to constant attention and criticism online.

“When the show first started, I was very secure,” Khloe shared. “Then, during the first couple of seasons, I became insecure because of the public opinions of myself.”

Khloe admitted that she then had “a good run of being secure” in her own appearance, only for it to fluctuate from time to time.

“Recently I’ve become, now, insecure again,” she shared. “So I guess it just goes, you know, up and down.”

Discussing some of the criticism and rumors she’s faced over the course of the show, Cohen said he imagined it was speculation over her paternity — and a belief that she had a different father than her sisters Kim and Kourtney — that has been the most difficult to deal with.

Khloe also addressed the paternity speculation surrounding her saying: “I’ve heard that narrative since I’ve been a baby. That part doesn’t hurt me now because I’ve been so used to that.”

Mom Kris Jenner and her sister Kim both chimed to once again defend her against the rumors regarding her paternity, but Khloe explained the part of the speculation that hurt was how it all revolved around her appearance.

“By people saying, questioning always, [that] I can’t be their equal sibling, it’s because of appearance,” Khloe shared. “So that’s the part that’s always stung.”

“But I’m so immune to that [speculation],” she added. “That’s the part that hurts me the least, currently.”

Elderly Nigerian man jailed for 18 years for raping a teen in UK

A Nigerian man has been jailed for 18 years in the UK after admitting multiple sexual offences committed against a child.

Adeyinka Oluwaseyi Ajose, 64 of Croydon was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Thursday, 17 June at Croydon Crown Court for four counts of the rape of a female child under 13, one count of the sexual assault of a female child under 13, and one count of assault/ ill-treatment of a child.

He had pleaded guilty to the offences at the same court on Thursday, 29 April.

The court heard that police were called to a residential address in Addington, Croydon at 21:13hrs on 10 November 2020.

On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who alleged several counts of sexual abuse, committed by Ajose over several months. The victim was under 13-years-old at the time the offences took place and known to Ajose.

An investigation was launched and Ajose was arrested the following day at approximately 21:20hrs after officers located him near the victim’s home.

Ajose was charged on 13 November 2020 and remanded in custody to appear before Croydon Crown Court on 13 November 2020.

Detective Constable Matthew Amos, the investigating officer, said: “Those that abuse the trust of the most vulnerable in our society are some of the most insidious offenders. The offences committed by Ajose are truly shocking and the sentence he has received reflects this.

“If the victim had not had the courage to come forward, Ajose’s campaign of abuse may well have continued. I urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse or who knows anything about it, to come forward to police. We have specially trained officers who will listen to and support you.

“The trauma that victims suffer can last a lifetime and impacts all those around them. I hope that the sentence given will go some way to bringing the victim and her family justice, so that they can begin to rebuild their lives.

“I would also like to thank the victim for her bravery and support throughout this investigation.”

INEC introduces Voter Enrollment Device for 2023 election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has introduced its Voter Enrollment Device ahead of the 2023 general election.

The Voter Enrollment Device which was designed by INEC engineers and produced overseas, enables eligible Nigerians to register as voters online before completing the exercise physically at designated centres nationwide.

INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu who noted that this will be the first time voter registration is handled partially online, said the commission is expecting a total of 20 million new registrations before the end of the CRV exercise.

Yakubu said;

“The expansion of voters’ access to polling units prepares the ground for the discharge of another important responsibility of the Commission. The registration of eligible Nigerians as voters is one of the immediate tasks before the Commission.

“Consequently, in the next one week i.e. Monday 28th June 2021, the Commission will resume the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) nationwide. In doing so, the Commission is introducing a portal to enable eligible Nigerians to commence registration as voters online before completing the exercise physically at designated centres nationwide.

“This is first time a major exercise of this nature is handled partially online consistent with the Commission’s commitment to continue to deepen the use of technology in the electoral process in Nigeria. Just like the expansion of voter access to Polling Units, the Commission appeals to the media for support so that this novel idea will also be successful.

“The CVR will be a major issue for discussion at this meeting. The Commission will demonstrate the procedure for the proposed online registration and also present the new INEC Voter Enrollment Device (IVED) to you shortly.

“We intend to undertake the CVR exercise over a period of at least one year. The success of the exercise depends to a considerable extent on citizens’ awareness through voter education. There will be new registrants, requests for intra-State and inter-State transfers as well as the replacement of voters’ cards as provided by law. Furthermore, with the relocation of voting points to underserved areas as autonomous polling units, there is need for massive publicity so that citizens are familiar with their voting locations well ahead of all forthcoming elections. We appeal for your partnership to achieve this goal.

“The Commission will also brief you about the preparations for the forthcoming Anambra State Governorship election scheduled for 6th November 2021 and the Area Council elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) holding on 12th February 2022. As you are already aware, the Commission has released the Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the two major off-season Governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun States holding on 18th June 2022 and 16th July 2022 respectively. We have since uploaded the details on our website and social media platforms. However, hard copies of the same documents are contained in your folders for this meeting.”

‘Women do not beautify themselves for men, rather they do because they are in competition with fellow women’ – Daddy Freeze

Daddy freeze teaches

Daddy Freeze has said that women do not go out of their way to beautify themselves for men.

He said he has observed that most men, himself included, do not care much to see women in professional makeup, artificial lashes and the likes.

He added that despite the fact that “most men either don’t like these things or can’t be bothered”, women still do them.

He arrived at the conclusion that this is because women don’t do these things for men, rather, they do it because they are in competition with other women.

Paul Pogba may become the highest paid player in the EPL as ‘Manchester United prepare to offer him new deal worth £400K-a-week’

Manchester United are reportedly considering making Paul Pogba the highest paid player in the Premier League with a mouth watering £400,000 per week new deal as they look to tie the Frenchman down.

Pogba has entered the final year of his current deal at Old Trafford, and he is on a current salary of £300,000-a-week, but United are keen to prevent him going into the new season with his future still uncertain.

According to The Sun, the club are now ready to offer him £400,000-a-week contract over the next five years to convince him to stay in Manchester.

Once Pogba returns from the Euros later this summer the contract offer will be presented to him.

The 28-year-old commented last week that his focus was on his country in Euro 2020 and not his contract situation.

‘I have one year left on my contract, everyone knows that,’ Pogba said in a press conference. ‘There have been no concrete proposals for extensions. I’m still in Manchester.

‘After the season there was the vacation, so I didn’t sit down with the managers and coach. I’m focused on the Euro.’ He added

Below is the list of the Premier League’s top earners.

An Italian court late has convicted four African men in the drugging, aggravated sexual assault and murder of an Italian teen in Rome, a crime that spurred calls in Italy for quick expulsions of migrants illegally living in in the country.

When they were arrested, the suspects were found to be lacking documents granting permission for migrants to legally reside in Italy. Prosecutors had requested life imprisonment for all four men.

In the days following the slaying, Italian news reports indicated that Mariottini had told her family that she had missed the bus to her town outside of Rome and she would stay at a friend’s house the night she disappeared. A lawyer for the family denied reports that she had a drug problem.

Manchester City Club offer Tottenham £100million for Harry Kane

Manchester City have reportedly offered at least £100million to Tottenham for England striker Harry Kane.

The Premier League champions have been linked with the Kane this summer after he expressed his desire to move away from north London in search of trophies.

According to Sports mail, City have started their bidding with an offer of at least £100m but Spurs are not prepared to accept that fee.

The report claims that City are willing to offer players and cash for the 27-year-old forward but Spurs will reject their advances.

Tottenham have slapped a £150m price tag on Kane and are desperate to keep hold of their star man.

City are on the hunt for a new long-term successor to Sergio Aguero, who left the Etihad to join Barcelona on a free transfer.

Sportsmail revealed that Kane informed Tottenham of his desire to leave after a poor season that saw them miss out on European football, and also crash out of the Europa League in humiliating fashion.

Kane told Spurs of his wish to depart before the end of last season and speculation over his future continues.

Weeks later, Kane had a candid chat with former coach Gary Neville, where Kane said Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy  may even want to sell him if he can get £100m.

‘(Levy) has been fair with me,’ said Kane on Neville’s YouTube channel The Overlap.

‘He’s never kind of just held me to a contract and said, “No, I’ve paid you that. You’re going to stay on that”.

‘I’m not sure how that conversation will go if I’m honest. I mean he might want to sell me. He might be thinking, “If I could get £100million for you, then why not?”

‘I’m not going to be worth that for the next two or three years. I think a crossroads is coming in my career. I think it’s definitely a conversation to be had with the club. I’ve said before, I’d never say that I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career. I’d never say that I would leave Spurs.’

The striker is gearing up for England’s final Group D clash with Czech Republic on Tuesday June 22, but he’s had a disappointing start to the tournament.

Hacker arrested after hacking into home security cameras of more than 70 families to steal over 1000 pictures of naked children

A man has been arrested on suspicion of hacking the home security cameras of more than 70 families around the world and obtaining more than 1,000 images of naked children.

Police say the alleged paedophile who is British, was arrested in Spain.

He worked as a babysitter and private tutor, but also sold child porn on the dark web using Bitcoins and was accused of sexually harassing nearly a dozen minors he filmed naked in video chats before threatening them.

He was arrested by Spanish police in Benidorm following a tip-off from colleagues in Queensland in Australia.

Police discovered his real identity after breaking through tight cyber security he had established.

He obtained explicit footage by hacking families’ IP indoor home security cameras including that of children based in Britain as well as the US, Canada and Brazil.

The suspect’s age has not yet been revealed although police say he was known to the authorities after being arrested as a minor for committing child porn offences.

A spokesman for Spain’s National Police confirmed: ‘Officers have arrested an alleged paedophile in Benidorm who had managed to access the home security cameras of more than 70 families in different countries around the world and obtained more than 1,000 videos of naked children.

‘He also allegedly sexually harassed at least 11 minors he filmed naked and sometimes threatened after they accessed video chats.

‘He was very active on the dark web and had organised a system of child porn sales based on bitcoins or the exchange of images filmed by his clients.

‘Investigations began when officers from the Task Force Argos, a branch of the Queensland Police Service responsible for the investigation of online child exploitation and abuse, discovered sexual images they suspected were of a child from an area in the Pacific.

‘Their analysis pointed to the images being modified and posted online from Spain.

‘Spanish National Police then began a process of close cooperation with their Australian colleagues to try to identify and detain the person responsible.’

Police say the suspect operated under different user names online to post his sordid images, the Spanish force added in a statement:

‘National Police specialists also discovered he offered his services as a babysitter and, taking advantage of his British nationality, worked as a home tutor teaching English.

‘This work enable him to have around 10 pupils, which heightened the concern of investigators who decided to proceed to arrest him.’

As well as allegedly organising a bitcoin or image-exchange system of child pornography sales, police say he charged commissions for acting as an intermediary between producers of child porn and consumers of child porn.

The police spokesman said: ‘ The home security cameras he hacked are designed to enable parents to monitor their kids when they are not at home and can be accessed over mobiles.

‘Igbos will lose more if they leave Nigeria’ – Rochas Okorocha warns

Former Imo State Governor and Senator Representing Imo West District, Rochas Okorocha, has warned Igbos over attempting to break up from Nigeria.

There have been increased agitations in the Southern region of Nigeria with groups such as the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, working towards the disintegration of Nigeria.

Also, the Yorubas have now started pushing for the creation of Oduduwa Republic, increasing secession calls too .

But Okorocha has now warned that the Igbos would be the worst hit if Nigeria breaks up, saying the South-East should push towards fixing the country and not its disintegration.

“It is only an Igbo man that goes to a place and remains put in that place, buys a land and builds a house for his family without feeling insecure. The Igbos will lose more if Nigeria divides.” Okorocha said to some women groups in Abuja over the weekend.

“Most Nigerian leaders who were successful had one thing or the other to do with the Igbos. It is either they married Igbo women or had some links with them. I can call names like former President, (Olusegun) Obasanjo; former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Buba Marwa, just to name a few”.

Prince Charles to kick off legal proceedings that bars Archie from becoming a Prince

Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, is reportedly about to make a key move to ensure Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie, doesn’t become a prince, according to new reports.

Prince Charles is trying to slim down the eye-watering cost of the monarchy to taxpayers, and is set to change key legal documents to ensure fringe members of their family do not have titles in the monarchy.

Charles who is the first in line to the throne believes the public are fed up of footing the bill for fringe members of the Royal family.

According to reports, Harry and Meghan learned about the decision shortly before their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

It has been reported that legal documents will be changed to ensure that Archie will not become a Prince a title usually bestowed on grandchildren of the monarch.

It’s been reported that Charles even clashed with younger brother Andrew over plans to slim-down the monarchy.

The Royal family received a £69.4 million public-funded Sovereign Grant in 2020, but this does not include additional costs such as security, which is funded by police.

Estimates say the true cost of the royal family to be £345 million per year to taxpayers.

A source told the Mail on Sunday : “Harry and Meghan were told Archie would never be a Prince, even when Charles became King,”

The newspaper says the decision has plunged relations between the Sussexes and the royals to a “dangerous new low”.

They are said to have been shocked to learn that Harry’s father will go as far as changing the Letters Patent in order to deny Archie the title.

Archie could have used the title of the Earl of Dumbarton when he was born, but Harry and Meghan are said to have been confident that a more prestigious position would be given to him when Charles becomes king. Now their hopes will be reportedly dashed.

He, however failed to beat the eagle eyes of narcotic officers during inward clearance of passengers on the flight.

The agency also arrested a serving officer of a law enforcement agency, Popoola Abayomi, for selling assorted illicit drugs to students of a federal university and cultists in Ogun state.

The statement says the drug dealer who serves in the Lagos state Command of the security agency was arrested on Wednesday 15th June, 2021 after days of surveillance on his wifes shop used as his sales point in Camp area of Abeokuta.

“One of his salesmen, a motorcycle rider known as Ogah was trailed to the location at about 8pm and arrested with six pinches of Colorado weighing 1.17grams before Popoola who has been on the Agencys watch list was nabbed with different illicit drugs including codeine -17 bottles; cannabis -22.26grams; tramadol 230 -98grams; 61 tablets of flunitrazepam -23.72grams; 113 tablets of molly -48.16grams and sex drops -43.92grams,” the statement read.

After the arrest of the two suspects, some student union officials of the institution blocked the NDLEA team with their official vehicle. The narcotic agents however restrained themselves and after hours of standoff succeeded in moving the suspects to custody.

In the same vein, one Adelodun Kamaldeen has been arrested by operatives of the Oyo state Command of the Agency at General Area, Ilorin, Kwara State following the interception of a parcel containing cocaine and heroin that weighed 10.5grams and 4.8grams respectively on 13th June.

The following day, two ladies; Mary Peter, 40, and Mercy Oladele, 39, were arrested at Total Garden, Ibadan when NDLEA operatives acting on a tip-off, intercepted their commercial micra car. The two women were arrested with seven bags of cannabis weighing 77.23kg brought in from Ogbese, Ondo State, to supply a man they simply identified as Alhaji. According to them, they had earlier supplied the same Alhaji two bags before coming with the seven bags they were caught with.

On Friday 18th June, operatives of the Oyo state Command acting on intelligence also raided the residence of one Alhaji Faruq at Elebu area, Akala expressway, Oluyole LGA, Ibadan, where they recovered 43 ampoules of methylphenidate.

In Kaduna state, a drug trafficker, Segun Abraham was arrested at Panteka area of the state on 17th June with 211.500kg of skunk heading to Kano state.

While commending the Ogun, Oyo, Kaduna and the MMIA Commands of the Agency for sustaining the offensive action against illicit drug trafficking and the cartels running it, Gen. Marwa warned that the NDLEA will not spare any law enforcement agent hiding under the privilege of his uniform to engage in narcotic criminal business.

“Those who think they can sabotage ongoing efforts to rid Nigeria of the menace of illicit drug trafficking and abuse hiding behind the facade of their uniforms should better think twice because theyll have NDLEA to contend with. We will not only arrest and expose them but well equally prosecute them and seize all assets acquired through the proceeds of their criminal act.” he warned.

‘Only church investments are surviving in the Nigerian economy’ – Bishop Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Winners Chapel has said only church investments are currently surviving in the Nigerian economy.

Oyedepo said church investments are doing well because there are no wrong additions.

Addressing his members on Sunday, the preacher, observed that other establishments and investments may be manipulated to look flourishing but are not.

Oyedepo pointed out that “believers” are doing well in the employment of labour in Nigeria.

He said: “Remove the products of revival from Nigeria economy, there is nothing remaining.

“Let me say this and I am saying this very boldly; the only thing remaining in Nigeria today are the investments of God’s people. The only one.

“You know the other people are busy killing themselves. No plan, no purpose, no forward-looking.

“Check all the employers of labour today in this country, authentic, not manipulated stuff. They are believers.

“Those are products of a revival. Unleashing financial fortune to advance his Kingdom.

“That is why your Church will be building rural Churches and at the same time building the Ark and building every other thing that is coming around.”

“Our hearts are heavy today as we let you all know that our beloved German Shepherd, Champ, passed away peacefully at home,” a statement from the White House said.

“He was our constant, cherished companion during the last 13 years and was adored by the entire Biden family.”

“Even as Champ’s strength waned in his last months, when we came into a room, he would immediately pull himself up, his tail always wagging, and nuzzle us for an ear scratch or a belly rub.”

Champ was one of two German Shepherds living at the White House with the president and first lady.

He lived alongside Major, who the Bidens adopted in November 2018 and became the first rescue dog to live in the White House.

The arrival of Champ and Major marked the return of pets to the White House after a four-year hiatus under former President Donald Trump, who was the first president since Andrew Johnson in the 1860s not to share the presidential digs with a dog or a cat.

“Separately I want to take the opportunity to apologize to Ndi Igbo for my glib, immature and unnecessarily hurtful comments a few years back. I am Igbo, I don’t think I would ever nor ever attempted to deny that (all my kids bear solidly Igbo names which I personally chose).

“Nonetheless I 100% let you all down and hope with time I can make amends and be forgiven. It was stupid and I am truly sorry. Whatever I write (and tweet) reflects on our entire culture and I dropped the ball on this one. Sorry.

“Thanking everyone everywhere  for the last few days. I won’t forget it.”

The CEO of Super TV was drugged and stabbed to death, Sidechick have been arrested

Michael Usifo Ataga, the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, and a director in Super Network Limited, a telecoms firm, has been gruesomely murdered and his alleged sidechic has been arrested in relation to his death.

Ataga, who resides in Banana Island, was reported missing on Sunday, June 13, by his family and friends after he didn’t return to his home in Banana Island and he also didn’t turn up at his Victoria Island office.

All efforts to reach Ataga, who would have turned 50 years old on June 18, proved abortive and this caused distress to his wife and children, who live in Abuja.

Unfortunately, his lifeless body was found on Friday morning, June 18, in a flat in Lekki phase 1 with multiple stab wounds, according to The Street Journal.

Several withdrawals had been made from his account by then.

Ataga, who is married to a manager in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, is said to have met the sidechic about two weeks ago and they began a relationship.

Sidechic reportedly arrested after married CEO of Super TV was drugged and stabbed to death

To avoid nosy neighbours, Ataga allegedly decided to rent an Airbnb in Lekki, Lagos, where they both checked in to before the unfortunate incidence, the publication reports.

Following his disappearance, concerned friends, family members, the police and DSS operatives all the way from Abuja through the concerted efforts of Ataga’s wife, tracked down the owner of the Airbnb, who received payment from the sidechic’s bank account into which Ataga had previously made a transfer for the payment to.

The apartment was broken into and that was where Ataga was found dead with multiple stab wounds in his neck, chest and thigh.

5 million Naira had been withdrawn from his account before he was killed.

The side chic who was last seen on Tuesday, June 15, when the murder happened, was equally tracked down and arrested alongside the owner of the Airbnb.

Ataga was an amateur boxer and reportedly very strong so his death has come as a shock to friends.

Also, after the sidechic left the apartment following Ataga’s gruesome death, money began to disappear from Ataga’s GTB account. The withdrawals only stopped when an email asked for a change in his account details.

With this, GTBank put an embargo on the account to prevent any further withdrawal.

The mistress is reportedly a prime suspect in Ataga’s murder as security guards at the rentals confirmed that no third party had visited the lovers besides a dispatch rider who made a delivery.

Investigations is still on and the case is still unfolding.

Half-Naked women, youths shield around Abuja-Kaduna highway to protest increasing banditry (video)

Angry residents blocked the Abuja-Kaduna highway over persistent attacks by bandits in their communities.

It was gathered that a 13-year-old girl was killed by bandits on Friday night, June 18, and this infuriated the villagers.

They then stormed the Abuja-Kaduna highway to protest.

The protesters, from Anguwar Magaji, comprised mostly of youths and women, some of whom were half naked.

They came out as early as 7.30am to block the road, making it impossible for travellers to continue their journey.

It was gathered also that the  bandits stormed the house of their Village Head and abducted his family as well as other persons in the community.

A resident, Bala Johanna, told Tribune that because of the fear of attacks, residents in the area cannot go their farms.

He said: “The most annoying is they followed us to our houses and collect ransom from us.”

He continued: “They killed a 13-year-old girl, a security man in the village as well as abducted other residents including the family of the village head.”

“Some of the women are half-naked. The soldiers were just begging them to leave the road but the men cheered them on from the roadside.”

A couple of days prior to the murder of the 13-year-old girl, residents of Sabon Gaya, one of the communities in Chikun LGA,  Kaduna, that suffered attacks near the NYSC camp along the highway, cried over the massive exodus from the area due to incessant attacks and abductions by the bandit.

A local has lamented over the absence of security, alleging that bandits had gone from house to house and abducted a Yoruba trader with her children after which they went away with a woman and her newlywed daughter.

“The bandits wanted to abduct the newlywed daughter but the women resisted, insisting she was her only child and will not bear the brunt of losing her.So the bandits went with both mother and her daughter,” the resident said.

Below is a video of the demonstration by residents.
